Sarah Tells All- a Sugar Baby, looking for a sugar daddy

(I’m starting to get used to this handbag- Spring 2008 Valentino, but still wears well this summer)

Hi all,

I recently joined the website, and I’ve asked to be allowed to contribute to the blog. They said yes- now here I am.

A little about me:

I’ve been a Sugar Baby since senior year of high school. Of course, I didn’t KNOW I was a sugar baby until quite some time after that. I think it hit me when I celebrated my 22nd B-day at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. I was celebrating with Rick- my 2nd sugar daddy-type boyfriend (married executive, 2 kids), and I realized that it had been almost 2 years since I paid any of my own bills. I didn’t even know what bills I had… shit, did I have any bills? I mean, yes, I incurred a hefty credit card balance each month as a result of my shopping habits, but none of those credit cards were ever in my name. Since then, I’ve realized that wasn’t a good idea. You have to make sure you know what’s going on with your ‘goings on’, because, if your a sugar baby, you never know when everything may get pulled right from under you.

I don’t think I’m a ‘Super Baby’ or some mother of all sugar babies (talk about contradiction), but I know I’ve been through some of the best of times, and the worst of times, during my sugar baby adventures.

Well, I’ve had some pretty interesting experiences… I’ve stayed in a Spanish palatial estate, visited London 12 times (going again next month), launched my own t-shirt business, turned down 2 marriage proposals, had my own marriage proposal rejected, and pretty much bought all the shoes Macy’s, Sacks and Steve M. have to offer.

Currently, I live in San Francisco with my SD of 8 months. Damion. Yes, that is his real name- you can’t NOT say, write or speak a name as luscious as ‘Damion’! Oh, no girls, I’m not in love, but that’s something that I work very hard not to do. Can you guess why? If you’ve ever had a sugar daddy relationship, you know that the “love” word is never something to get too familiar with. OK, I hope this didn’t sound too pretentiously bloggy, but it felt nice to spill some beans…

Does anyone out there have anything to ask me? We’re going to walk the golden gate bridge this evening, and then it’s off to L.A for the weekend. I’ll be checking back for comments, and would love to hear from any of you.

P.S. I respond to comments!

That’s a good question. First, lets specify exactly how you randomly meet this sugar daddy (i hope that doesn’t defeat the purpose of this).

If you meet a random Sugar Daddy Online- then, I guess that means you met him outside of a sugar daddy dating site (since meeting him there wouldn’t be random). So if this random guy is someone you met in a chat, on myspace or craigslist or etc, than the question is “what’s the right approach”? Firstly, if this is an older wealthy man who you’d only be interested in a sugar daddy relationship with, and your wanting to get that point across, than be articulate right from the start. Use the phrases “mutually beneficial relationship” and “no strings attached” right away. If they’re sugar daddy material, they’ll appreciate your frankness.

If you meet a random sugar daddy out ‘n about, on the town, in the mall, at a party, etc, than I would be a little more subtle. I’d still use the phrases I mentioned earlier, but not in a ‘direct’ way. Perhaps when the time comes to explain your views on love, relationships etc, you can mention how you see the validity in NSA dating, or even, sugar daddy relationships.

Hope some of that was helpful! 😀

Anyways now im with a much better and REAL man ;)…

Good luck Anabelle, if u need anything let me know 🙂

  19. Annabelle says:

Ooh okay thanks – I had the exact same mishap with another one, not too far from there 🙂

I got soo worked up about what to wear, manicures, hair, make-up etc… If I could have fed him to a herd of overexcited underfed bulimic lions, I’m pretty sure I would have 🙂

BTW isn’t it tough to find eligible men in Canada?

Annabelle (can’t believe I chose this screenname haha)

Thank YOU! Your not alone and we’re all learning here! You definitely sound smart and seem curious about things (much like myself).

As far as a sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship turning into more eventually:

This has happened to me before, so my opinion will be biased, but i think it’s important to think very carefully and honestly before allowing yourself to be swept away emotionally with your sugar daddy.

My honest feeling is that- as a general rule- you should remember how and why your sugar baby chose you, before you think he’ll stay with you beyond looks/youth. A sugar daddy is a guy who gets what he wants. And sugar daddy men are generally on the superficial side of things, and frankly, they’re usually not very capable of enjoying a lady for more than her physical or “status symbol” attributes.

So, that’s my advice on that. It’s not ALWAYS a no, but I do think it wise to remember the kind of guys that sugar daddies usually are. Then again, everyone can change…

Hi Sarah…first i want to tell u I LOVE YOU hahaha, honestly, ur blogs are super helpfull for girls like me(with no experience what so ever), although im pretty sharp and clever(or that’s what i’ve been told lol) is always nice to know there’s someone more experienced willing to help…I have a question for u, du i think is impossible for an SD-SB relationship to develop into something else?…im just asking this, not for any partiular reason other than curiosity…I’ve heard about some amazing stories, where the SB and the SD fall inlove and get married bla bla bla…i think everything’s possible, but i’d love to know ur point of view.

Thanks in advance for ur time Sarah

    Pau 😉

Her’s a seeking arrangement blog on trust i found- http://www.seekingarrangement.com/blog/?p=32

  25. sarah says:

Well, my first sugar daddy was someone I had known of for a while. He lived in my town and was kind of a big name there. As for my first seeking arrangement sugar daddy- yes, I was definitely a little apprehensive. The first arrangement I made on the site was with a guy that actually had never been with a girl before, so that was even more interesting!!
The trust part is never completely one-sided. I men, you can only go off what you can find out for yourself. I always google my sugar daddy and find out all the information i can about him before I meet him. I never meet any online sugar daddies unless it’s in a public place.

In terms of you flying to meet your sugar daddy for the first time: Here’s a blog post that you might find helpfull- http://www.seekingarrangement.com/blog/?p=13 — it’s about a girl who had a pretty bad experience with meeting her sugar daddy after flying across the country to do so.

What are your travel arrangements? Is he paying for all expenses? Is there a way for you to verify that your in no danger of being stranded (i.e, you know that your all of the tickets have been purchased in advance)? These are some of the questions I would want to have confident answers to before I flew to meet my sugar daddy. The diamond club daddies are almost sure to be pretty legit, btw. But, your right to be careful! I’m glad your taking precautions to be safe! Let me know how things progress.

  26. sarah says:

Coolpix: I receive and allowance, and I also accept gifts. I have not opened an actual savings account, which I should, but I am trying to put away what little I can. I am still actually looking for another sugar daddy myself. I want to go to school in the fall (community college) so I don’t think I’ll have a chance to save too much.

  27. jenlovesm says:

hey sara….i was wondering…were you scared to meet your SD for the first time? and travel with him? i mean how did you trust him? i have a guy who says hes willing to offer me the world but i need to fly to him …how can i do that when i know little about him?! i mean he is in the diamond club but that really dosent mean anything …at least to me…what steps shpuld i take? thank you.

  28. confused says:

I woud like to find a sugar daddy that gives me an allowance so I can buy what I want and spend it as I need, etc. I would also like outings and gifts from time to time.

  29. coolpix says:

Thats interesting…..Do you receive an allowance or just accept gifts??? I am just curious….are you building wealth with your sd?? I am planning to use most of the money that my future sd in savings and stuff….not really for shopping..thats kind of the last thing in my mind…since I am in debt!
