Jumping in on this thread a bit late, but welcome to all the new sugar babes!:)

As a sugar babe who has navigated this field for some time, let me try to answer some of the newbie questions below:

Miss G., sorry to hear about your nightmare SD experience. Unfortunately, it happens. Some of these guys have money, but that doesn’t always equate with class, or even sanity! lol. In the future, try asking a potential SD to come to your city for the first meeting. It’s safer for you if things don’t work out. If that guy’s got anger issues and yells at you, BOLT! You don’t want to find yourself stranded in a strange city with a very strange man!

Natasha, Sylvia, Lilly – you’re unsure about how to negotiate an allowance.

Every situation differs, it’s all about what’s good for both of you. But you should know *before* you two sit down to “talk business” and set an arrangement exactly what your needs are, what you are willing to compromise on, and what you’re NOT willing to compromise.

A true SD knows *never* to ask the indelicate question, “hey baby, how much?” If a so-called SD asks you that, tell him to call an escort service and excuse yourself. Date over.

If he is an experienced SD & a gentleman, he will make an offer to you: he will outline what he’s looking for in terms of time and emotional commitment from you, what he’s not looking for, and what his monthly budget is. From there, it’s up to you to accept, refuse, or negotiate…

In general, let the guy take the lead. Just like traditional dating, it seems to work out best when the man gets to be in charge.;)

As far as where to meet the first time with a potential SD, a restaurant or some other public place is your best bet. It’s also safer to provide your own transportation just incase things don’t work out and you need to leave.

I would never agree to go to a man’s home or hotel room on the first date. First dates are just to say, “hi, how are you?”, get to know each other a bit. If he calls for a second date, then he’s probably serious about pursuing an arrangement.

If he just wants to take you back to his place on the first date and stuff some cash in your hands after he ravishes you, he’s not a sugar daddy. He’s a john.

Stay safe and stay classy, SB’s!:)

  11. Lilly says:

i have a SD and im new to this whole thing so i had some questions about it…
1, when do you recieve payment? before or after the weekend/night/ time together do i ask for payment before meeting him or some of the payment atleast?

2, is it better to meet at the hotel or his place?

3, how do you ask about payments with the SD without sounding rude and money hungry? if anyone can answer these questions for me sooner rather then later that would be great.

  12. Natasha says:

    name a prince?

  13. Sylvia says:

Well lthis is my first time on. I have a sd that wants me to name a price. I have no clue I am not a lady of the night. Can anyone help me with advice on what to do.

  14. Natasha says:

    Hi everyone,
I have decided to sugar date. I am totally new at this and need advice. Monday I met my SD and we got along well. hes the whole package and more than what i expected. He showed me his offices on our first date and ended up at starbucks that night. that night he ended it with a kiss and told me straight up I am beautiful and he wants me. next week we have plans on meeting again but i dont know what to do. can someone please advice me.

  15. Zuri says:

Hey Sugars! My name is Zuri. :)
Nice to meet you all. :)
Soooooooo I started hearing all of the craze of the sugar life this past weekend and had to try it out. I have an issue I’m very independent and don’t do well when others try to pay for anything. It’s awkward for me. Lol idk But anytips on shopping?
Like I feel comfy receiving electronic allowances and going on nice dates but shopping idk!

  16. Alicia*299952 says:

Hi all, been away from the blog for a couple days so trying to catch up. I’m going to check out the other topic since this one is hard to answer as I have yet to meet my SD

  18. MALE_Sugar_Baby says:

    Lisa —

One quick question: will your “impotence spell” apply to a male sugarbaby?

    — MALE Sugar_baby

  19. lookylou says:

Rene – I have received financial gifts in the past via paypal (850 dollars from a guy I didn’t really consider an SD, more a friend and benefactor). If you’re not comfortable giving out bank info (and please read my prior post about how to receive a bank transfer safely) paypal isn’t a bad choice. However, unless you establish a “store front”, your personal info (ie, your full real name and your home address) will be visible to the person who sends you money. Plus, paypal takes a percentage of each transaction made via credit card (when I received 500 dollars, they took about 17 dollars off the top as their processing fee). I suggest getting the paypal debit card – otherwise you have to wait 4 to 5 business days for the money to transfer over to your regular bank account.

  20. PJ says:

Hi, I’ve been in this website for several months, I started talkint with some guys, but I think most of them just want the fantasy of having or “almost having” an affair, they email me, we talk a couple time, I ask to meet and discuss the arrangement and then they disappear, I dont know if i’m doing aomething wrong. Any of you have a similar situation or any advice?

I’m meeting this guy for lunch on thursday, it seems ok, not totally my type but with my money situation, so I hope everything works fine and I can get my SD

  21. Rene says:

Have you guys tried setting up a pay pal account for allowance payments? I was thinking about trying that because I don’t feel comfortable giving out bank info. Just curious if that has worked for anyone…

  22. raine says:

    Hi there, sugar fans.

  23. Joules*300035* says:

What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?

    pre-paid cards or cash

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?

as in with an SD or by myself???regardless….
i’ve never been to a spa so i’d love to go to one BY MYSELF. if we are talking about with an SD then I guess I would choose a resort!

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?

finding a common ground for conversation

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar? Games? Teasing?

Teasing has always been my niche; worked well all of my life too!

  24. HenriLouis*294522 says:

    Hi Jasmine,
    Great name !
Brings me a waft of perfume.
I also have jasmine in my garden and it smells great.
Everytime I see your name it makes me smile.
Is jasmine tea your favourite ?
    Hi Ebony,
Are you having classes today ?
It is almost half past eight in the morning here.
I have some gardeners coming over today.
They are going to heighten the terrace with more sand and lay it again.
In the course of some years it has become a bit wobbly.
Hope you have an interesting day,

  25. Jasmine says:

    Ebony I’m still here.

  26. HenriLouis*294522 says:

    Good morning sugars,
What fun to read all the comments here.
So sorry I could not make it to the bonfire.
Reading through there was such a happy sound here !
I loved Lisa’s humour and cool advice.
VC you will be a doting aunt, I am sure.
Today I have deleted all music from my Iphone.
There is just one on it left and it keeps on playing.
” One more Night ” music suited to the occasion.
Like everybody said here, daily messages “honey how is your day ”
brings us lots of understanding. And the forbidden word s*x has not been mentioned once. I see it as a sign of respect.
After all it is realy our first meeting.
Have an optimistic day, just like mine.
    See you later.

  27. Ebony says:

    Is anyone here?

  28. Jasmine says:

  33. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

I’m tired ladies. I will now leave the bonfire but I’m refreshing it with more logs. Goodnight sugars.

  34. gurlnextdoor says:

Dunno Jasmine, I just got here myself, lol

  35. gurlnextdoor says:

Hey lookylou glad you found someone :) Happy to have you back on the blog.

  36. Jasmine says:

So what did I miss besides the alcohol? :)

  37. lookylou says:

Thank you so much for the welcome, Snow Bunny! I’ve been lurking this blog for soooo long now (since January, actually) that I have to keep reminding myself that, although I feel like I know everyone, no one knows me yet.

  38. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Hahaha lookylou…we can go shopping for Louboutins together. Welcome!!

  39. gurlnextdoor says:

    Night Jamisen

  40. lisa says:

Good night Jamisen. Now back to bringing a dark cloud over those rude sds. Impotance, failed business, next stop north Gessner, lol

  41. lookylou says:

Jamisen – If you’re in the Fairfax area, I suggest the newer Tyson’s mall for upscale shopping – Armani Exchange, the Apple Store, Aveda, Benetton, Coach….haha can you tell I’m looking at the alphabetic directory? Seriously though, there’s something for everyone, it’s HUGE. And practically right across the road is my fave place in the world – Tiffany and Co. So that’s my current fave right now. There’s a Louboutin store in McLean, but I’ve never been. Maybe that will change soon though :)

Sorry I didn’t take the time to do this, but I’ll re-introduce myself now. I had posted on here before as Maverisk (and even was quoted in one of the blog entries!) but one of my posts was flagged and now, no matter how tame the subject matter, my moderated posts never show up on the blog, even after days and days of waiting. So instead of continuing to lurk around all frustrated I’m posting under this name for a while until my other name “clears” or whatever it needs to do.

I’m 20 years old, been on the site since January, met my SD on here in early March, we’ve been on a couple of great “getting to know you” dates, and we’re beginning the official “arrangement” this week. He’s my first ever SD, but he’s a very sincere and kind gentleman, and I like him a lot. After I pay off my one small source of debt, I’m going to start saving for my retirement in a Roth IRA. Of course, there might be one or two pairs of Louboutins in there. There’s such a thing as “current quality of life”, hahaha.

  42. Jasmine says:

    Don’t worry I’m 22 actually about to turn 23 on april 1st.

  43. gurlnextdoor says:

Haha I’ll take some Godiva liqueur this time Jasmine…it’s like the minor effects of alcohol coupled with the pure deliciousness of chocolate.

Sorry Lisa, maybe someone will write you back. :)

  44. Jamisen/305521 says:

Hey y’all. Gail’s gotta drive me home from the lovely bonfire.. I need to go to bed. I will def keep everyone updated on the pot SD reschedule. Good night!

  45. Gail says:

    Id please…

  46. Jasmine says:

Hey sorry u guys my phone died on me,hey who’s offering vodka? I take some with fanta orange! :)

  47. lisa says:

over 20 have read my emails and my profile is getting alot of views this evening but no messages. I now curse their businesses, they show be poor and become my next door neighbors, lol

  48. gurlnextdoor says:

Hmm that was supposed to be a :( not a :)

  49. gurlnextdoor says:

Haha lisa, I know the feeling. I sent out a bunch of emails but got no response. Then the one guy I actually wanted to read my email more than the others hasn’t. :) I need a shot of Godiva liqueur, lol.

  50. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Jamisen: Not sure about the status of the sugar baby meet but I need to get some summer shopping done. I’ll most likely make the trip regardless.

  51. lisa says:

Nothing here, sent out tons of emails, all read, no response I think I will cast a spell of impotence on all the guys on the site as punishment.

  52. Jamisen/305521 says:

CSB, if you’re still talking about that SB NYC trip keep me updating. Since I’m relatively close, I would love to meet up with some of y’all!

  53. gurlnextdoor says:

I’m glad to see the nightly sugar bon fire is going well even without me :) Anybody found any good potential SDs or SDs period?

  54. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

I’m here, just checking out flights to NYC and LA. NYC hopefully in May and LA definitely in June.

  55. gurlnextdoor says:

Aww I want a shot of vodka :(

  56. lisa says:

I’m having a cup of coffee, nothing like coffee before bed.

  57. Jamisen/305521 says:

I’m still here! A little spaced out from the one shot Gail gave me..

  58. lisa says:

Good evening, not sure where everyone went

  59. gurlnextdoor says:

hey everyone, sorry I’m so late lol…had some family drama to deal with, argh!

  60. Gail says:

lol…we are at the beach…this shot was for warmth…I will drive you home…plus I am watching out for you…someone has to our SB in training…lol

  61. lisa says:

channeling NitemareSD NitemareSD where are you?

  62. lisa says:

    chicago chicago chicago

  63. Jamisen/305521 says:

Gail! You really are training me to be your mini-wild child! I’m not 21 yet..

    too late…

I took the shot when the SA patrol wasn’t looking..

  64. lisa says:

you never know those cracked eggs might not have yoke, just confetti, lol

  65. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Gail: My eggs are good actually. I might have two SDs by next weekend :). The other two eggs are starting to show cracks but not completely fell out the basket yet. I can only handle two anyways so we’ll see how things go. I’ll keep you guys posted.

  66. Gail says:

Careful Lisa…not too close to the fire…lets have a shot….shot for Jamison…shot of vodka for bunny…Villa are you still here…any lurkers?
    shrimp anyone…yummy….

  67. lisa says:

Thanks Gail i’m actually using chanel at the time (purchased during my last sd shopping trip) but L’oreal is one of my faves. I use a med beige as the ivory makes me look washed out.

  68. lisa says:

No i’m a standard member but if you go to search , you can click who favorited me and it will tell you how many have added you but you can’t see who. All I know is that 5 have added me in the last few hours but not one response to the 20 messages I have sent out since yesterday. All read,no response.

  69. Gail says:

Oh maybe she just got delayed…

Ok ChocolateSnowBunny…how are the eggs doing in your baskets?

Lisa…do you use Loreal? I can send you some…just let me know what color ….if you want…

  70. Jamisen/305521 says:

lookylou- Hey I’m in the DC Metro area too. Maybe tips on good places for sugardates? Local spas, shopping areas (if you have preferences on the diff shopping neighborhoods for sugar max-age), etc.?

Gail, SuzieQ, CSB, Lisa- Thank you for the support. Surprisingly, I’m not offended by the cancellation. I had originally suggested to meet later next week, but when we discussed our upcoming schedules, it just seemed like tomorrow night would work so we said why not now? I’m looking at it as I wasn’t planning on meeting him until next week… so no harm done.

And now worries, Lisa, I took your advice and made sure to subtly hint in my response that he should think of ways to make it up to me. And I’m sure I’ll still be e-mailing him daily until we meet (that is, when I pick a day.. I’m too far from my planner right now) and I’ll be dropping hints about how nice it would be to go shopping or something. Heck, I might be ruthless enough to use his guilt to begin at a higher allowance rate when we get down to the negotiations!

  71. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Lisa: Do you have premium? How do you know who is faving you?

  72. lisa says:

One the areas of the store I work in that i’m responsible for is the firelogs and charcoal, light fluid and all. I swiped some and am tossing it in now

  73. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Yeah GND doesn’t even show up to her own party. Tsk tsk tsk.

  74. lisa says:

I’m tossing a whole box of hot logs on the fire, watch out!

    Goodnight SuzieQ

Well now I am going through the sds and added faves without writing them, just like they do. I’m getting desperate here. I want to go out and I want that Versace handbag but I would settle for some new makeup as i’m running out of my good foundation and will be back to the cheap stuff soon.

  75. Gail says:

Yes…where’s our host…okay…brought a duraflame log with me too…we just need more sticks and firewood…..we should have some SD dropping in too….

  76. Gail says:

    Night SuzieQ…sweet SD dreams…

  77. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Ohhh Jamisen….sorry to hear he canceled but he still sounds like a good guy.

What happened to the bonfire? Rather cold in here.

  78. Gail says:

It’s good that he plans to make it up tenfold…the fact that he is already giving you dates and time shows that he is definately serious…okay…we will stay tuned…

    Lisa…you silly Mailboxbaby….lol….

  79. lookylou says:

Let it be known that I have found a sugar daddy on SA, and our first meeting was, in fact, at a Starbucks!

So please, don’t be so quick to judge it harshly. I live in a very wealthy county (in the DC metro area) so our SBX around here are extremely nice – good metro vibe, clean, consistent, and always the friendliest service imaginable. Normally I make every effort to avoid chain restaurants (I prefer to patronize indie cafes) but for a first date with an SD I don’t know well in an area I don’t know well, I feel safe meeting someplace as simultaneously well-known and anonymous as Starbucks.

    As for the blog topic:

Cash or wire: I prefer the money be regularly wired into my spare bank account. Taking cash makes me feel too sexually obligated, plus I hate carrying thousands of dollars around with me – it just feels plain unsafe. You don’t have to worry about the safety of the account as long as you have another account set up which you can immediately transfer the money into. I have online banking with BB&T and it’s a snap for me to move money around. Of course, a little extra green tucked into a nice card for Christmas or my birthday would never be unwelcome.

I prefer spending my dates with my SD either eating at nice restaurants, shopping at the local super-upscale mall, or hanging out at his apartment, just eating Chinese and watching a movie. Though taking him to a spa is a great idea…

Good ways to break the ice: Talk, talk, talk. We talked for 2 straight hours during our last lunch date. There’s no better way to find out if you’re compatible than to just let it all hang out.

Fun ways to be playful: I’ll fill this in as I find out more. For now, I find it fun to text back and forth about stuff happening during our day. It’s a cute bf/gf type thing to do and it encourages lots of communication.

  80. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Whew, that’s good Jamisen. But now we’ll all have to wait to hear how it went!

I’m going to head to bed early tonight, have a bit of a headache and trying to practise some self-care. Have to be fresh and feeling great when my sd appears, right?

Enjoy the bonfire everyone…don’t scare off all the sd’s with those ghost stories, ok?

  81. lisa says:

Just make sure he makes it up to you tenfold. Now you have more time to practice making a great first impression and sweeping this guy off his feet.

  82. lisa says:

maybe something white with red and blue strips with a bird on it?

  83. Jamisen/305521 says:

Yes, he made a list of possible days for the next two weeks that I can choose from down to the hours he will be free. Very professional and caring sounding. He also apologized to me a million times in the e-mail and promised to make it up to me “ten-fold”

Sounds like I found a pot SD who knows his stuff.

  84. lisa says:

I wonder what I should wear tomorrow to await the delivery of my package by that lazy mailcarrier? lol
I will wear my black leather leggings and a black and white top and my yellow snakeprint flats, and matching purse, no wait I’m not going anywhere tomorrow, forget the purse. Now to accesorise. This is what i’m reduced too, lol I have became a mailboxbaby

  85. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Ooh drat Jamisen! Well at least you’ve got the wardrobe issue all worked out when he reschedules…hopefully soon?

  86. Gail says:

ooooh sorry Jamisen….any other eggs in your basket?

Hey Chocolate Bunny….ok…I brought Vodka too…a shot for you….

    I am not much of a drinker…unless I am around my sugarfriends…

  87. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    thanks CSB :)

  88. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Sounds lovely Jamisen….I love that colour combination on others….don’t seem to be able to pull of the earth tones myself though. How about accessories? Do you have your favourite earrings all picked out?

  89. Gail says:

Too bad you cant post a pic with your cute outfit on…and the smile that you are going make him melt with…lol… you must take a picture on your camera. Ya know you are still a SB virgin until you go on your first date….(smile) then the smile after should be bigger and brighter afterwards….

  90. lisa says:

oops sorry to hear about the cancellation Jamisen. :(

  91. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Damn I miss the shots of Bacardi. Luckily I’m a vodka gal :).

Congrats Villa on becoming an aunt.

  92. Jamisen/305521 says:

Gail, SuzieQ- Thanks for the congrats, but as I was typing this up he just e-mailed me to cancel/reschedule.. It was a very long e-mail explaining why and providing dates on when he’s free again for dinner. So not so off putting now.

  93. lisa says:

Jamisen has a date? What’s a date? Is that where you actually get to meet someone off here? Oh yeah I remember, I think lol

  94. Jamisen/305521 says:

SuzieQ- he sent me a e-mail today asking me to confirm.. seems as though he’s worried I’m going to flake on him, but that’s understandable. He also added that I shouldn’t wear jeans bc of the place, which I kinda figured. It was a kinda off comment since he has complimented me on my maturity and I am trying to accept it as a nice tip on his behalf bc of my young age.. but still a little off putting!

I was thinking this brown/teal print chiffon top, cute brown s/s cardigan, nice work khakis with low key pumps.

  95. lisa says:

I will join everyone with my nice hot cup of cream of chicken soup

  96. Gail says:

Yaaah!!!! Jamison has her first date!!! Tell us the details…I may have missed it all….lets have a shot of bacardi and coke back for everyone!!!!!

  97. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Uh oh…shooters :( Last time I did that was my 19th birthday and it was NOT a pretty sight lol! I’ll be the designated driver ok? Just keep the chai lattes coming and I’ll be a happy camper!

  98. lisa says:

Gail don’t mention shooters in my neighborhood, we have them everyday

  99. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Hey Jamisen, did you decided what to wear on your date? Care to model it for us so we can tell you how fah-bu-lush-ous you look?

  100. Gail says:

SuzieQ….lol…I made shrimp on skewers for the bbq and brought appletini’s…oh…yes and a little shot glass for the bottle of bacardi…we are all gonna have shooters….ready everyone?

  101. Jamisen/305521 says:

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a good day. Congrats to VillaCypris! You’re going to make a great Auntie!

As always, thank you to SE for providing great insight.

Agree with Lisa and Mia- While Starbucks may not have the best coffee, it certainly is a place that is usually busy enough to have a private conversation while still in public. And it does provide the flexibility for both ends for time in case chemistry is or isn’t there.

As for the blog topic, I promise that once I start meeting SDs in person I will have insight on this. Still nervous about my first meeting tomorrow! Eek!

  102. lisa says:

Well thank God I don’t have a Texas accent, i’m from the midwest

  103. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Yay, the party’s back on! Welcome back everyone!

  104. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Yes , us girls have to stick together!!!! :)

  105. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Hi Gail, did you bring some hot chocolate by any chance? :)

  106. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

Gail~ i have a faint accent yes! but i’m fluent in both , except for grammar and punctuation in English , that’s why i’m taking a class lol

  107. lisa says:

I wish I could start enjoying my life too, it’s not happening yet though.

  108. lisa says:

Good evening Gail, just got off the phone with my friend. Well I’m in first place when it comes to green checkmarks and no response. Everyone reads the messages immediately but no response. About 5 guys have added me to their favorites in the last few hours.

  109. Gail says:

Congratulations Auntie Villa:) I just love baby girls. My baby sister just had her 2nd child a girl. It is going to be loads of fun shopping for the little princess.

BeachGirl: You’re French…ooh-la-la…do you sound like Sweet E?
    I just love the accent:)

Raine: You will be fine. Your just need to get through the first experience, and you will feel better. I deleted my profile after the first month. LOL..because my SD friend told me I didn’t belong here. Well later I got braver, put it back up, braced myself for the rejection and crazy people. Along the way I made great SD and SB friends. I changed my thought process and really started to have FUN:)

OC where are you…still unpacking? come out from those boxes…we are having a bonfire:)

Lisa: I no longer look for commitment…I just want to enjoy the heck out of my life….I have adopted the saying from NIKE…JUST DO IT!!!!

  110. SuzieQ*297329* says:

    SE, you make me *sigh*

    “it’s all about her” *sigh*

  111. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Congrats VC…how exciting! Being an auntie is the best. You get to play with them, feed them all kinds of stuff their parents don’t let them have, then send them home lol!

  112. SuzieQ*297329* says:

Shucks, did I miss out on the hot chocolate?

  113. raine*306712* says:

As for the ole bon fire, I’ll try again tomorrow — will bring some extra kindling.lol

  114. raine*306712* says:

My nerves are acting up again, I’m turning in. Night, sugar fans…

  115. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Thanks Raine, and thanks Suthrn for telling OC! It’s exciting… for sure! :)

  116. SuthrnExec says:

BTW, Villa, I sent OC a message – I know she would want to know about your good news.

Raine, not sure anybody would want to listen to me! lol

  117. raine*306712* says:

Congrats, Villa! Bring on the Ferragamo[sp] booties!

    SE, you do seminars?*

*I was starting to worry about this whole thing and whether I should bother going any further…

  118. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Thanks, SE!!!!!! Ya, pretty excited. she’s the “first grandchild” for our family and the wife’s family…. and gorgeous to boot. can’t wait to go back and see her tomorrow ! sleep well! x

  119. SuthrnExec says:

Good night everyone – I have some work to finish up and then I need to sleep a little bit before 4:30 in the morning!

Villa, you seem pretty up and excited – not sure you will be sleeping any tonight – congrats again!

  120. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

Thanks SE it’s nice to have a man’s point of view!

  121. SuthrnExec says:

Let me answer the blog topic questions and get those out there…

    > What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?

My preference for most things is electronic – but it’s really up to her and what she prefers. There are all kinds of delivery mechanisms – you might just have to do a little research. But get to know her and you will figure out the best way.

    > Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?

It’s all about her and what she prefers. I am content just to be with her no matter where we are. My preference is always to pamper and make her as comfortable as possible – granted what I THINK would be most comfortable isn’t always the case. That’s where the chemistry that you have between you and the communication thing come in. It simply gets better and better over time. Certainly, there are occasions for each – it just depends on what is going on at the time and where you both are most comfortable.

    > What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?

Conversation – whether via electronic or phone or in-person. Ask questions – especially once you hear the things she is most passionate. Humor is also a great ice-breaker. An email saying “hello” after meeting on the blog – and genuinely complimenting her/him about something that you find attractive about her/him. No matter how you do it, the best way is to be relaxed and be yourself. If you’re trying to hard, they know it and if they stick with you very long, they are going get to know the real you anyway, so just relax.

    > What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar? Games? Teasing?

Again, this depends on the person, how well you know her/him, but after you get to know each other, the ways to be playful and have fun will become apparent. This is one of the fulfilling things that come out of great chemistry and the process of getting to know each other.

  122. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Thanks!!!!!!!! It was so quick! She went into hospital at 3pm and delivered at 545pm…. wow!

  123. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

    Auntie VC~ congrats

  124. lisa says:

Congrats VillaCypris a future member of the blog is born :) Don’t forget the louis vuitton diaper bag.

  125. SuthrnExec says:

    Congrats Villa! That’s awesome!!

  126. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Hello everyone!!! Good news!!! My brother and his wife just had their first baby, so I am an AUNT for the first time!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooo!!! She’s beautiful, 7lbs, 3 oz… gorgeous… now have to find la perla diapers and baby stilettos. I’m so happy ! :) :) :) :) :) :)

  127. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

SE~ i do worry about it a lot! not because of you , I’m just a little conscientious about my spelling , grammar and punctuation.

  128. raine*306712* says:

Indeed on both counts, lisa. (grrr and *swoon* respectively.)

[As for this new blog topic, I’m drawing a blank for some reason…]

  129. SuthrnExec says:

BG, I am not referring to those who have english as their 2nd or 3rd language. I have no problem with the issues that you might have with the language. Please don’t worry about those little issues.

I don’t have a problem with Starbucks either. The most important thing for me is to make sure she is comfortable – no matter where we meet. It’s all about her.

  130. lisa says:

A coffeeshop date with a gentleman who brings a nice gift would be a pleasant date. Simple and uncomplicated but with the man showing he knows what he serious.

  131. lisa says:

My biggest pet peeve is “your and you’re” and I am especially weary of the businessman that has so many typos in his letters. I would think as a businessman he would do most of his correspondence by email so it makes me wonder if he has all those mispellings in his business communications.

  132. raine*306712* says:

*crud, should’ve clarified; I meant based on this factor ALONE. Huh. One of those Mondays…

I wouldn’t mind the coffee shop setting myself, Mia, provided it’s not part of a CHAIN.

  133. gurlnextdoor says:

Oooo we have a new blog topic :) Wow that was quick

  134. lisa says:

    still on the phone

  135. raine*306712* says:

Oh, the profiles I’ve read…’slaughtering’ is putting it mildly! If I rule out enough SDs based on this, I might as well *gasp* cancel my membership!

  136. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

    Hello sugars~
SE~ you’ll have to excuse my english at times i am french and i am learning english grammar , the hardest part for me is punctuation!

  137. Mia says:

Also, earlier we were knocking Starbucks for initial meet-and-greets. If I haven’t met the person, I actually prefer a Starbucks-esque date, like a bakery or coffee shop. I generally request it, actually, instead of something long-winded.

I’ve had to sit through a few dinners at beautiful restaurants to be polite, when it was honestly excruciating and a little pointless because there was something tragic that just made me KNOW I did not want to be there/would not like to pursue anything. (For example: No car and no good explanation, even when pressed; appearance/looks; perceivable intelligence; accent – I have one of course, but some I just can’t STAND, especially not for an entire dinner, let alone beyond that!)

With something brief, like enough time to drink coffee or nibble on a pastry, we have the freedom to either stay for a while or gulp it down and beat it, without seeming horrible and being too rude. I’ve also found that it saves me trouble and time.

After that, I request the nice dinners, when I can pursue getting to know them better. After longer dates I still might decide we’re not compatible, but doing this this way personally saves me extra anguish or wasted effort.

  138. gurlnextdoor says:

    Hey raine, I’m here :)

  139. raine*306712* says:

Uhh…where’d everybody go? Getting kindling for the bon fire [that a banned word, too?] I presume?

  140. SuthrnExec says:

Raine – there’s communication and then there’s trying to communicate while slaudering the queen’s English! LOL My mom was an English teacher so I’m sort of old school when it comes to writing, grammar, etc. There’s a time and place for texting-english, but not many!

  141. raine*306712* says:

Barring that, consider me schooled 😉

  142. raine*306712* says:

Thanks for clarifying, SE. That explains my occasional rants on your fellow SDs’ blatant abuse of the English language in their profiles*!

*I found one local SD whose username is a bunch of smilies. SMILIES! The hell?! Making up a name was asking too much, huh? [Man, I gotta relax…]

    *ahem* how’s everybody doin’ tonight?

  143. gurlnextdoor says:

Haha, aww it’s ok I think most people who live on this planet are the same way.

  144. SuthrnExec says:

Well, I certainly don’t claim to have it all figured out yet, but god knows I try! I do enjoy studying human nature and what makes people tick – i think it has contributed to my career success – but I’m probably the world’s worst at applying what I know about human nature to myself.

  145. gurlnextdoor says:

I agree SuthrnExec…and of course there are exceptions to this rule. I’ve met two great ones in the short time I’ve lived (my father and my current boyfriend). Both of them love the idea of commitment and give 100% to the ones they love. And I’m sure you’re like that too! :)

  146. SuthrnExec says:

Hey now! Let’s not lump all “guys” into the a single category – especially a negative one. That’s like someone saying that all women will stay with a guy until there’s a financial hardship and then they bolt.

GND, thanks for the qualification – there are still a few good guys out here. :-)

My opinion is that communication is such an under-developed characteristic in relationships now-a-days that it’s no wonder relationships have problems. Admittedly, most guys are not great communicators – we do a lot of thinking about a situation and then make a unilaterial decision about what we’re going to do without discussing it first. If the communication channels were kept open, lots of problems could be avoided or dealt with WAAAAYYY before they become major issues.

  147. lisa says:

I will be back. Just got a phone call

  148. lisa says:

my ex was 57 and still not ready to commit. I met him on another regular site and started dating him a few months later. He was wonderful, had a mercedes, nice apartment, was a petroleum geologist, whatever that is. He took me to nice restaruants, movies, bought me stuff, and everything we got out of the car to go in someplace, he had to stop and kiss me for a while and hug me. Then 6 weeks later, he began to change, and started trying to change how I dressed, wanted me to become a waitress, etc. He started making excuses and eventually vanished.

  149. gurlnextdoor says:

I gotta agree with Lisa on this one. Although there are a select few men out there who really want to commit, like my crazy boyfriend (only God knows why).

  150. lisa says:

Messy yes, in the past decade I have watched a man die of a heart attack, seen a guy with a bullet in his head, blood all over his shirt and a man with his throat cut outside the fence of my neighbors patio when I was living with my family. But someone had to clean up the mess at the store.

  151. lisa says:

and there really isn’t such thing as long term. Guys today dont want to commit. They want to go out with you while it feels good and have you pay half the dating expenses and then eventually they dump you or do something that makes you dump them. This ltr thing is just a way to get out of the allowance and spoiling.

  152. Jasmine says:

    Ooo… That is messy.

  153. lisa says:

The biggest issue I have had with sds that make suggestions of meeting in a month or two (whenever they will be coming into town) is that they don’t seem to want to spend the meantime getting to know each other, they just disappear and reappear when they are in town. I never meet anyone at the last moment.

  154. gurlnextdoor says:

Hmm CSB, I think he’s personally trying to get you to forget the whole SD thing and get you as a possible LTR. I won’t necessarily say move on, but I would keep my eye open for other prospects.

  155. lisa says:

We had a man drop dead of a heart attack in the domestics department of the department store I used to work in. It was a messy sight, he threw up while he was having a heart attack. Messy

  156. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

GND: Yeah he communicates with me but he’s taking his own sweet time. Plus, like I told you, he’s more the LTR type anyway. Ah well.

  157. lisa says:

oops someone else just added me, i’m on a roll, wow kind like someone giving me a bunch of nicely wrapped empty boxes

  158. Jasmine says:

Lol lisa just what I need in this very boring class sheesh.I wouldn’t be surprised if both of my teachers dropped dead.

  159. lisa says:

If I had 20 dollars for every green check mark i’m looking at, I could buy that Versace handbag I want.

  160. lisa says:

Quick someone send Jasmine a sd to revive her, she needs retail therapy and some expensive perfume to revive her

  161. lisa says:

Gee another just added me as a favorite. I wish there was a system where the guys had to pay in order to add someone as a favorite and then we would get the money, lol

  162. Jasmine says:

Ahhh!!! These classes are so boring I’m about to drop dead at any moment! :)

  163. gurlnextdoor says:

Ahh CSB, has he emailed you, tried to contact you in any way shape or form?

Yes Lisa I agree, that website would probably crash with so many guys from here trying to join it, lol.

  164. lisa says:

ChocolateSnowBunny I’ve had those and they have never materialized for me or they wouldn’t give me a definate date so I could arrange time off from work.

My friend’s guy is not a sd, actually she is appalled at the sd idea. She called me the other day when she was watching that Tyra show and was saying how bad the woman where on there. I secretly laughed to myself. She is the type I guess that would rather give everything out free and get nothing in return.

  165. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Lisa: No he doesn’t live out of country. He’s only away on business for three weeks.

  166. Jasmine says:

No that would be a very very cheap sd!

  167. Ebony says:

$1.08? I don’t think he deserves the term SD if he takes you to macdonalds.

  168. lisa says:

I am weary of out of country sds. I have had two contact me and then they seem to lose their way in route to the US.

  169. lisa says:

I live next door to the finest of restaraunts. lol Mcds, wendy’s , taco bell, j in the box, bk, blah blah blah. But across the freeway there are some really good seafood and mexican restaraunts that I haven’t been to in ages, need a sugardaddy for that.

  170. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Pretty good. I think I’m coming to an agreement with two of my pot SDs so I’m kinda psyched. My other pot SD (that I told you about) is still in Europe and dragging his feet. I think the window for us is closing :(.

  171. Nico says:

WOW Lisa ~ I think we need to kidnap you and whisk you away from Houston….that is unless you’re looking forward to the McDonald’s drive through…..waiting for the word ‘go’ from you 😉

  172. lisa says:

there needs to be a seekinglosercheapskate website. Lotsa guys around here could join. lol and I’d bet we’d get 100’s of messages.

  173. lisa says:

do you have a marshmallow filling ChocolateSnowBunny? lol

Wow I just heard from my friend. She is the one with the jerk boyfriend that just anounced last week that he has a new baby with some other girl. My friend still will not give up on him. She has met someone new though, a really winner, or show I say sd, lol She met him last week at some dumpy bar and they went out last night after she got off work. Wow he paid for her 1.08 mcdonalds chicken sandwich and of course she put out for him. Yuck. This is the reason I can’t meet quality guys through my friends, the like the bottom of the barrel.

  174. gurlnextdoor says:

Hey CSB, I’m doing good, somewhat hopeful that my SD search will come to an end this summer. :) I almost forgot about a potential that I had back in my hometown, whom I’ve yet to meet but have emailed countless times. We always seem to have some sort of conflict when it comes to scheduling and actually meeting up, unfortunately. How are you?

  175. ChocolateSnowBunny says:

Why so many requests for chocolate bunnies today lol? I’m here now!!

Good evening GND, Lisa. How’s everyone tonight?

  176. gurlnextdoor says:

Ahh I see…hmm well by next month spring break season should be over (or at least ending) so that’s good. Hope you have fun and enjoy yourself.

  177. lisa says:

Galveston is about 45 miles from Houston. It’s a beach town and a magnet for tourist and spring breakers. Not accesible from Houston if you don’t have a car though so although i’ve lived in Houston 22 years, I’ve only been there a few times. It has a lot of history too and was badly hit by hurricane ike last September. The beach is on the gulf of Mexico.

  178. gurlnextdoor says:

Where’s Galveston? Never heard of it, lol…see this is why I need to travel more.

  179. gurlnextdoor says:

Aww Lisa, this is the sugar beach….no crazy crabs, jellyfish, sharks, or psycho seagulls allowed. :)

  180. lisa says:

and then a big crab comes out and bites me on the foot, ouch. The last time I was at the beach (many years ago) I was wading in the water picking up shells and one of them had eyes staring back at me, yike, threw that down right away. Going to Galveston for one day next month with family. Daughter is paying for it for her birthday celebration. Alot of stuff if gone from the hurricane though.

  181. gurlnextdoor says:

Aww lisa ok, well imagine this….you’re on the beach at night, you can hear the calming sound of the waves rolling in and out. Your toes are tucked into the cool, white sand as you sit around the bon fire laughing with all the SBs and occasional SDs, who drop in to our wonderful little bon fire. There is a slight chill outside, but it’s ok because you have a nice warm blanket to snuggle under until you fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the ocean. Breathing in that refreshing ocean air, ahh life is good.

  182. Jasmine says:

Well just got on break now its for an half hour and then on back to the dum dum classes.

  183. lisa says:

Good evening Gail. I will try to to stay up awhile, no work tomorrow so I can sleep in and wait and wait to see if my package arrives.
You ladies are making me sweat talking about cocoa and blankets. It’s like an oven here, got the air conditoner on and wearing my victoria secret sleep slip that my ex bought me ( it is one year today since he dumped me).

  184. gurlnextdoor says:

Argh I am having the worst luck with SDs. One who I actually like lives in my hometown so I won’t be able to see him till this summer (which is a little over a month from now). Then the other one I think wants a girlfriend, not sure yet. I guess I need to talk to him about that.

  185. gurlnextdoor says:

Haha Gail, hmm I don’t know. More Godiva cocoa for me and lots of warm blankets if it gets chilly. :) Some SDs to help keep us warm would be nice too (just in case any of you are lurking out there).

Yeah Jasmine you should, haha. Bet he’ll disappear like a cloud of smoke. *poof*

  186. Jasmine says:

I should tell him that! Lol!!

  187. Gail says:

Thank you GND for the invite. I will do my best to stay up….hey that’s 7:00 my time. Who/What are we roasting this time around? Lisa, bring your marshmellow chocolate bunnies…this should be fun:)

  188. gurlnextdoor says:

Oh cool Jasmine, the windy city. I’ve never been there but my mom went once and loved it she said. Yes going up north would not be ideal unless he plans on buying you a winter house in Florida to go with your separate house up in Canada, lol.

  189. Jasmine says:

True true.gnd I already live in chicago! I don’t need to go into more cold territory!

  190. gurlnextdoor says:

This is an official invite to everyone on the blog to the nightly sugar bon fire, hosted by yours truly on the blog. It starts at 10pm Eastern time and lasts until the sun goes up and/or when everyone drifts off to sleep. See you all there.

  191. lisa says:

yes that sounds a little off. I wouldn’t go off relocating with someone I didn’t know. That’s not exactly nsa if you are going to be living with him. The whole point of a sd/sb relationship is to have fun and mutual benefits without interfering with the other person’s life.

  192. gurlnextdoor says:

Hmm sounds weird Jasmine, and Canadia (as I like to call it) is cold. burrrr!

  193. Jasmine says:

Oh I forgot to mention to u guys,I gotten an email from an sd in ontario canada, and he asked me if I ever considered thinking of relocating to canada and he will put me and my kids through school and provide me with a place to stay? Now to me that’s kind weird…

  194. gurlnextdoor says:

Hello everyone, how’s everyone doing this evening. Welcome back Lisa, you gotta come to the nightly sugar bon fires we’ve been having lately. :)

  195. Jasmine says:

Or for the teacher in my first class duh? :)

  196. lisa says:

Hey maybe she would make a good sugarmommy for someone, lol

  197. Jasmine says:

Lol! I need that laugh!!! Now I just finished switching classes.now here comes the teacher that looks like she about to drop dead at any moment!

  198. lisa says:

77 ? What does he look like, lol I’m sure I could find a nice place for him to sit in the sun at the mall while I shop, lol

  199. lisa says:

    Good evening nico

You know when I email sds I always direct the message towards them, asking them about their interests, expectations, etc but they still are unresponsive.

I am never insulted by cash, nothing tacky about it to me. All cash is good regardless of how you get it, it pays the bills, buys nice stuff, puts food in the fridge. I am not comfortable with money put in my account. If they wanted to wire me money to one of those places in the stores where you can do that, that’s fine, but I would really have to know someone a long time to trust a deposit.

  200. Jasmine says:

That would be something if he got a profile on sa.but I don’t think anybody would want him dude’s 77 yrs old!

  201. Jasmine says:

Good evening nico how are you?

  202. Nico says:

Good evening room….going to take a stab at the topic…

What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?

I would prefer electronic (have in the past) ~ handing cash is too contractual and accepting $ is difficult for me in the first place and to do it regularly ~ electronic for me = better :)

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?

All the above. :) Sometimes a nice evening in cuddled on the couch and watching movies is good too.

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?

I always encourage him to talk about himself. People almost always feel comfortable sharing. I like to learn about him and what makes him tick. All the while I will be making mental notes to help answer the question below. 😉

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar? Games? Teasing?

As with any type of relationship I will try to keep it fun and playful. The sky is the limit here 😉

  203. lisa says:

I bet he has a profile on SA , lol He probably skipped the allowance one right, lol

  204. Jasmine says:

Okay now I know the teacher is on screws cus the dude just skipped two questions!

  205. lisa says:

If they haven’t logged in a long while, their profiles should be deleted as it gives a false number to the amount of sds in each state. You take all the free members that have joined but never returned that all still posted after years and the inactive premium ones and you have much fewer to choose from.

  206. lisa says:

two more members have added me as a favorite. I think sbs should get a hundred dollars for every guy that ads us without emailing us. lol

  207. Jasmine says:

I know right? The ones over here looks like they haven’t logged since 2006 I think and their still premium.that’s does seem weird.

  208. lisa says:

This is unbelievable. I just checked out the 3 states that surround Texas, and there are only 49 paid membership sds total and some of them haven’t been active in over a year. I wonder how it is that they’re profile is still premium when they haven’t been online since 2007? Did they pay that far in advance, seems weird.

  209. Jasmine says:

Nena u may never know, a couple of them might contact u! :)

  210. lisa says:

I just sent some emails to sds in neighboring states of Arkansas and Lousianna. There aren’t many sds in those states so we will see how long it takes for them to read my emails and not reply. lol

  211. Jasmine says:

    Good one lisa! Lol!! :)

  212. lisa says:

uhoh I think my mailcarrier is teaching Jasmine’s class

  213. lisa says:

I once saw a substitute mail carrier wondering around my complex in the late evening with a priority mail envelope in her hand. My mailman takes too many vacations. Yes and I am dodging the janitor that is trying to ask me out. He use to work at my apartments till they were sold and he was fired. Now he lives somewhere else but is always over here. He’s a friendly person to everyone so I didn’t think anything of just saying hi to him whenever I passed him but some men seem to think that just because a woman lives alone she is looking for company. Well I’d rather spend my life alone with no one than to settle for less than I want. I already live in a bad area, no car, etc so I certainly don’t need to hook with a guy who doesn’t even have his own place, no furniture, and not that attractive. Looking for a sugardaddy not a sweetandlow daddy, lol

  214. Jasmine says:

Oh my god this class is so boring! I don’t think the teacher knows what the hell he is doing! Thought might drop a line in class. :)

  215. raine says:

Ohhh, substitute mail carrier & ugly men [that’s ALL you need, huh? I understand.]: that’ll do it. Just curious.

  216. lisa says:

I don’t know if that would help raine as the substiture mailcarrier is a woman. and I’m not looking to attract the attention of any of these ugly men here either, lol
My regular bald tall mailcarrier who wears those huge old fashion earphones is great, he knows me from all my mail and will come up and leave my package or hide it,whatever, but this substitute mailcarrier is another story. I always know when we have one because I dont’ get my tv guide or star magazines.

  217. raine says:

Hey, lisa, what’s up with that mail carrier anyhow? Do you have to stand outside your apt complex in a bikini to get your packages — or crazier still, just a sandwich sign and red pumps — to ensure delivery of same?!

[Anyone else in here, by chance? :|]

  218. lisa says:

    Have fun in class :)

  219. Jasmine says:

Hey lisa me gots to get going or I’m going to be late for class hope to talk to ya on break hugs and kisses! :)

  220. lisa says:

I think the blog is running slow, the green bar at the bottom seems to stick.

  221. lisa says:

When I lived in Chicago we didn’t have a car but we went everywhere on the subway. We were so much more mobile there but I do remember waiting in the cold for the bus. I lived over on Sheridan road by the Cubs field. CHicago is 100 times better than HOuston. The roads run like a grid whereas Houston’s wind and turn and end. You can’t walk straight down the street. The roads wind and take you to the right or left instead of straight and then we have subdivisions of houses in the middle of everywhere. No zoning here

  222. Jasmine says:

And my comments take forever to come on the blog

  223. Jasmine says:

Ugh I feel ya on the buslines, these darn buses in chicago take forever to come!

  224. lisa says:

I live on 3 buslines that run regularly but the ones that near the postoffice are smaller and run hourly and not at all on weekends. My friend gets off work at 8 and has to wait an hour to get the bus and then walk several blocks to her apartment cause the bus that passes her apt stops running at 7:30. She gets off work at 8 and gets home around 10.
    I’m sooo bored.

  225. lisa says:

And I will order only from stores that do UPS shipping as the UPS man knows me and will either hide my package behind my plants or he will come back a second time if i’m not here. He even delivered my computer without my apartment number on it.
Now I have to figure out what to wear tomorrow to sit home.

  226. Jasmine says:

Ugh I feel ya on the buslines.they run freaking slow like heck!

  227. lisa says:

it seems everyone disappears though, lol I’m usually at work during the day but have been in all day and will stuck in all day tomorrow. I was supposed to get a package today but the post office screwed up again. Mailman too lazy to come to my apartment, stuck note in mailbox that I wasn’t home when they came (liar) and I spent 20 minutes on my cell from work sat to reschedule (cost me 5.00 of my prepaid minutes) and they forget to give message to mail person and package is at post office and supposed to be delivered tomorrow now. Now I won’t be able to wear my new clothes till next week cause I gotta work wed and thursday which means wearing my ugly uniform. I so want to get out of this house and go somewhere but I waited for my mail and by the time it came and my package didnt’ come, it was too late to go out. I wish the post office was on the busline so I could just go pick up my stuff but it’s too much hassle to take one bus, get off, wait 45 minutes for the next, get off and walk 7 blocks and come back again. Next time I move I will make sure my postoffice is on the busline.

  228. Jasmine says:

Hey lisa at least ur talking to us?

  229. lisa says:

Hi Jasmine, just sitting here bored stiff.

  230. Jasmine says:

Good afternoon or evening? How’s everybody right now? :)

  231. lisa says:

starbucks is ok for a regular date first meeting but for a sd date, I would want something more. It is best for me to meet at starbucks since it’s near me and a safe haven (safety is number one) and then there are some nice restaruants near that area so the date should go on to that, or some shoppping at least (less calorie intake also, lol). I had one starbucks date that was a bust also, one that turned into a nice lunch date the next day and then allowance 2 days later. Another meeting that turned into lunch and shoppping (the sd had already planned this) and one just for shopping.

I would love to stay at a hotel even though I have an apartment as my place is ok, but I want to escape from the day to day, have someplace where I don’t have to hear the neighbors screaming and kids playing outdoors (not exactly romantic) and feel that vacation feeling. I haven’t slept away from my apartment in over a year and I would love to spend the night in a hotel. They are building a very nice hotel down the street from me across from the shopping center which would be perfect for any potential sd to stay at when meeting me. I would be near home and away at the same time.

  232. raine*306712* says:

Dangit, I knew I forgot one!

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sUgar baby ice?
Actually, what everyone else said, and I wish he would take me to Starbucks!
[OPOV, said dead cat may be airborne for a while where I am, unless he’s downtown of course; now, Family Dollar or McD’s? Oh yeah, that cat’s gonna be pinball style~lol~]

  233. raine*306712* says:

Howdy, folks. Welcome back, lisa! *bearhug* one of the few who could mention my hometown* w/o getting pulled over (ha!).

As Victoria and others have suggested, maybe a change of scenery IS in order [*come on up here; you know you wanna!]. I’ve been feeling a wee stagnant myself, but sometimes you just gotta say “eff it all” and start over. I know that means leaving your daughter behind, but maybe if she sees you attempting the above, she too may get her Mary Richards on! Won’t know until you try. As for the SDs, I’d recommend maybe combing surrounding states (plenty in mine!) and/or other countries. Somebody’ll fetch you a cab to meet them!

Now I’m gonna get on topic: cold hard cash in an envelope, and I can stay home by my-damn-self, thankyouverymuch. I’ll get back to you on the rest.

  234. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

Hmm…gonna run, lovelies… Be back later!

  235. OPOV says:

    Hi Ms Victoria.

Someone asked “why Starbucks”? Because of the need to meet in a public place for the first time and the ubiquitous nature of Starbucks, esp in NYC – you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a Starbucks in this city.

  236. gurlnextdoor says:

Hey Vic, hmm sounds like a nice flash drive. I only put music on mine so anyone who found my last one (that I lost) will be getting about 3 days worth of great music.

  237. gurlnextdoor says:

Hmm Starbucks…never drank anything from there. I dunno, I always considered it to be the McDonald’s of coffee shops. It’s too mainstream and doesn’t seem like it would live up to all the hype surrounding it. Now a date to the Cheesecake Factory would be nice. :) They have the best Pasta da Vinci and their cheesecake is to die for.

  238. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

Yea, Atalanta, I love the minimalist thing…BUT…I’m too much of a nerd to actually be a good minimalist… This flash drive has a self destructing encrypting chip, is military strength, waterproof, password protected, and GORGEOUS… *sigh*

    Howdy, GND!

  239. gurlnextdoor says:

What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?
Most definitely cash although bank deposits are nice too :)

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?
Like BG said, all of the above! I think it’s best to mix it up between being at home and going out, that way things don’t get boring and routine.

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?
Talk about what you expect out the arrangement before you even meet. That way things will be less awkward at the beginning.

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar?
Do whatever each other likes, and surprise one another…everyone loves surprises! (well the good ones anyway, lol)

  240. Atalanta says:

haha Victoria…I’m all about cool flash drives!
Though I’m kind of edging toward this modern, simplistic take on everything. I just like the minimal look. lol

  241. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

Oh me, I’ve found the most amazing flash drive. The nerd in me just got very randy!

  242. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

Thanks, Gail! Hopefully I will have a nice boy bunny! I’ve edited my profile a bit (and it only took about 10 minutes to be approved!), so hopefully the change will help.

I adore bookstore/cafe/wine cellar hybrids! The bookworm in me loves reading in a cozy cafe, the wino in me loves the wine cellar part. Lol

  243. Atalanta says:

    Eck…Starbucks date…

Their coffee isn’t top-notch, so why would a true SD take you there.
Realistically, there are probably a lot of cafes that will make your drink much better and the atmosphere would be so much more enjoyable.
    Starbucks ain’t it.

  244. Gail says:

    Hi Victoria:)

Spring is here so hopefully by Easter your boy bunny will be here:) And I will be oh so happy for you. Then you will know what you perfer, envelope or deposit:) Wishing you a great day.

OPOV, I agree my first and only Starbuck date was a bust:) Never again.

  245. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

But, I love Starbucks! :-( But, yes, a nice place would prove seriousness…

    Hi there OPOV!

  246. OPOV says:

What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?
If an SD is providing a large amt (5k or above) payments in cash are not he best form. It is better to have your lady set up a separate bank account for deposits or a cc with monthly spending limits based on the lady’s need.

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?
A resort or hotel are my preferred way for get togethers. Home is not a viable choice for most SDs and many SBs probably don’t want you coming to their home either. I guess the perfect spot would be to have a pied-a-terre that is separate from both your lives which also provides some stability for both.

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?
Talking on the phone or texting before you meet to ferret out any issues is recommended. But nothing will alleviate the apprehension of the initial meeting so meet your date some place public and nice and block out a significant amt of time to get your introductions out of the way. You’re not serious if you say lets meet at Starbucks.

  247. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

    Howdy, Gail!

  248. Gail says:

What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? For a new arrangement, or just a gift, an envelope is exciting. Love the cash and the gift cards:) Electronic? I resevere this method for a long term SD relationship. I have SD friends that surprise me and make deposits for my little luxuries or emergencies.

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.? Ok…this is easy for me to answer. Definately a resort, hotel, spa:) It’s always nice to relax and really be on vacation. Your focus can be each other.

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice? Affectionate looks and touch, light positive conversation:)

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar?
LOL…can’t explain it….I just do it:) I suppose I am pretty flirty if I am attracted to a fella.

  249. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

    Okay…it’s been approved…

  250. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

Can it be written off in taxes if you hire a lawyer to write up a contract?

  251. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

So, I edited my profile…whenever it’s approved, I’d love for someone to offer feedback? Please and thanks in advance!

  252. Atalanta says:

Wow, sorry that was very long.

  253. Atalanta says:

Gosh, I should be working, but I have another 1.5 hours until I get off.

What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?
-I would think the best way for it to be done is electronically if you are just looking for money in the bank. I, personally, would feel weird if he just handed me an envelope with cash/check in it.
I also agree with Lisa on the clothes thing. The amount can be included in shopping sprees, gifts, etc. It just depends on what you’re looking for.

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?
-Not in my dorm, lol! Anywhere else would seem fine to me. I’m still waiting for him to cook me a meal, and I’d rather that be done in a house or something similar.

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?
-I think good communication beforehand and a fun first date would be perfect.

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar?
-LOL, what does this even mean? hahaha I can’t tell you all the secrets of the gods! No, I’m kidding. I can be messenger for the day. I guess, the same way you’re playful with anyone that you’re attracted to. I make jokes, throw in some innuendo [haha! It is fun(ny) I promise!], and just be an all-around fun person to be around. I like being playful, it’s part of my nature.

I know everyone says treat it like a job interview, and that’s true…but also treat it like a date. You are planning on spending time with this person, and, in most cases, you will be intimate. That’s why I’d hate to bring up money on a date. I think Gordon(Aww, I miss Gordon!) was saying a while back that he set up a meeting with potentials to discuss the terms of the arrangement. So whether you set that up in an email, online, over the phone, in person etc. I think that there should be a time set aside for the “business” aspect of it, and then you can spend the rest of the time romancing. haha

  254. Victoria ♠302242♠ says:

    Firstly, that picture is hot.

    Now blog:
What are the best ways to give a sugar babies ‘amount’? Envelope? Electronic?
I would prefer cash, in an envelope, slipped to me under a table by a man in a trench coat and sunglasses… But, if not all that, simply cash would work, or a seperate bank account.

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?
Resort, hotel, spa, Italy… staying home is what I do ALL the time, I can do that alone.

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?
Talk on the phone before meeting, discuss the arrangement before hand so no time is wasted, DON’T wear a sign with the “what I’m looking for” section of you SA profile…that’d be rude.

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar?
I’m not sure… But, I’m sure once I get one, we could figure it out together. 😉

  255. Jasmine says:

Don’t worry u will find him!

  256. lisa says:

I have been waiting 10 months though, :(

  257. lisa says:

I prefer an allowance although I never turn down shopping. It’s just that if someone takes me shopping I have trouble finding what I want. I try to come prepared if the opportunity comes up as I did with the last two shopping sds I met. I went around the mall and found what I wanted so when we went, I could go pick up what was on my mental list. Cash is better though so I could save some and take my time shopping. It’s like when the money is in your hand, you look for bargains, which takes time and if a sd is with you, you are trying to hurry up cause most men loath shopping. lol I had a sd take me shopping back when I was out of work and I wish he would have given me cash instead as I had several hundred dollars worth of makeup and clothes but my fridge was empty and I was actually going with out food and had to go a couple days later to the food pantry at a church. So I was wearing expensive makeup and perfume but eating rice and spagetti, and I was craving a nice meal.

  258. Jasmine says:

Don’t worry lisa u will find ur sd! Like that those two sayings goes 1.patience is a virtue and 2.good things will come for those who wait. That’s the way I look at it. :)

  259. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

Looking forward to reading all your blogs later
    i’m off to do homework
    later Sugars!

  260. lisa says:

Well first impressions are important , just like a job interview but hopefully much more fun and better pay and benefits. Only problem is that I put very few appplications in when I was out of work (maybe 12-15) and got 1 call and interview which was actually the first application I put in and I got the job. Just store jobs but still they are hard to get. HOwever I have contacted dozens of sds and only met 4 in all this time, one lasted a month and two took me shoppping and then disappeared. One discussed in detail an arrangement and then disapeared. Nothing in almost 7 months for me now.

  261. Jasmine says:

    Oops beach! Lol :)

  262. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

Jasmine~ yeah shopping is really great too, i forgot that one lol

  263. Jasmine says:

Hello everyone! Hi lisa good to see u back! I think I go with lisa on this subject.there is no way in heck I let somebody know my bank account! Well to I prefer shopping or probably my darn large phone bill! Due on my b-day doesn’t that stink? Well like I said earlier prefer shopping,I would like to get spoiled once in a darn while don’t ya think? :)

  264. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

Lisa~ I never thought about it as a job interview!!! i like it, that really helps

  265. Beach_Girl*306486 says:

    I got money, cash

Do you prefer nights at home, or at a resort, hotel, spa, etc.?
    all of the above!

What are some great ways to break the sugar daddy/sugar baby ice?
I have never been on a site like this so i don’t know~

What are some fun ways to be playful with a sugar?
i don’t know??? i’m usually open and try new things.

  266. lisa says:

    Good afternoon everyone.
I prefer cash and shopping and occasional gifts. I’m not into bank deposits as I don’t like anyone getting anywhere near my bank account, especially someone I don’t know well.

I like some evenings at home but then again I can do that myself so I really would like someone who took me out somewhere and although I have my apartment, I think spending the time at a nice hotel would be more fun. And if he is coming from out of town, I would never let a stranger stay at my place.

I think it’s best to discuss an arrangement before meeting, just to make sure we are on the same page as there is no sense wasting time when someone who is not looking for the same thing. And even if you meet and things don’t click, it’s still good to discuss details ahead. Similiar to looking for a job, most people want to find out about salary and responsibilities before going to an interview.

  267. raine says:

That’s two more than I’ve been on, Mia, but then again I just got here *shrug*.

I too would like to see the responses. :)

  268. Mia says:

I want to answer the blog but I’ve only been on 2 sugar dates so far.

I will look forward to reading responses though. :)
