Sugar Presentation

There are thousands of potential Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies out there looking for something that you have, but are you appealing to them? The type of arrangement you find (or don’t find) here depends largely on your presentation; the way you display the type of person you are, and the type of sugar you would be in an arrangement. There are certain circumstances in which one may present a false self in hopes of attracting attention one would otherwise not receive, tho doing so in Sugarland may result in you being labeled a “fake”.

“Most real true SD’s I’ve known would prefer you to keep a little mystery and not flaunt your beautiful body on the net for all to see. He rather likes knowing that as your SD, he’s entitled to see certain parts of your anatomy that are not available for viewing by the general public.;)” – Summer

Thanks to the many stereotype-bending sugar mavericks on this very blog and elsewhere, the common understanding of what being a Sugar Daddy or Sugar Baby means has changed. Yet as some have pointed out recently, there are many different types and/or ‘levels’ of sugardome…

“[…]Then there’s the next level down — the guys like me making between $1m and $10m. I think that’s the sweet spot for this site. The single guys in their 20’s making that kind of money may behave like the big boys, but the older ones don’t, usually. I think they (we) prefer local women. They probably don’t have pre-nups and are likely on their first wives and have families. They have enough sugar to spread it to one or two worthy girls who appeal to them. They have enough to be generous, but still want something recognizably like a GFE, which usually means a real woman with a real life.” – James

Yet no matter how beautiful or rich one may be, success in Suglarand often goes hand and hand with having good character – which no amount of money or makeup can replace.

Have you ever run across a Sugar Daddy or Sugar Baby with exceptional character/quality? What drew you to them?

What do you think about copy/pasting initial messages to potential sugars? Are you offended when you receive a cloned message? Why or why not?

Are there different levels of Sugar Daddies and/or Sugar Babies? If so, what are they in your opinion?

Well…reality speaking, men nowadays are really eyeing on sex than mutual affection. LOL

  2. TexaSD says:

Aquala- what are you expecting in your relationship? are you expecting gifts or allowance?

Hi Everyone :) I am new to this blog, but I have tried this SD/SB arrangement before, but nothing came of it. I have met and received emails from a few SDs who are in the business of playing games and I got so frustrated I gave up, but I have decided to try again. This blog is very helpful because it provides a lot of insight that someone like me could benefit from. I really appreciated the explanation SincereSD stated. There are so many new SBs (including myself)who unbeknownst to them are sending the wrong message to a potential SD. If anyone has the time, I would really appreciate it if you would view my profile; my number is 405748. I would greatly appreciate some feedback positive or negative :) The whole issue of age makes me a little nervous because I really am 29! Also, do you email a potential SD if you are interested and if so, what do you say? I don’t want to come across as a demanding drama queen, I would really like to meet someone with whom I can connect with.

Summer ~ Right on, I applauded you for your eloquent reply and action to an obviously mentally sick person.

Sad that anyone would treat someone in that fashion.

It has been my experience that those who abuse others are actually themselves very tortured individuals. Anything you do or don’t do fuels their behavior.

  7. Adam says:

Am not sure where to put this , well I have sent a fair few messages and only one persons has viewed my profile , not sure how am gonna get any success on here if no one actually looks at my profile ……….any ideas ??

    Thanks :)

My goodness. After reading a few more blogs (yes, I’ve been super productive tonight. hehe) I’m realizing what a huge freak I am.

    a) I have never lied about my age. Maybe I’m young enough not to care or maybe I don’t have an issue with aging or maybe I just hate lying but I’ve never understood it. People figure it out eventually.

    b) I only date older men. That’s part of the appeal of this site. I adore older men and have only dated men my age twice…both times to be treated poorly and hurt emotionally. However, my older boyfriends have overall been better lovers, gentlemen and more interested in the things I enjoy (theatre, good food and wine, travel, etc.) 5 years is the bare minimum but I’ve gone up to 15 happily and not even through a site like this!

    c) I prefer married men. I know, it’s weird. I love having a great relationship with someone but I don’t want to be their ball-and-chain. I’d rather be their sunshine-and-happiness. I always want my SD to look forward to our time together and to part ways with me with a smile on his face. I don’t want someone I see every day, even on the days I’m feeling grumpy or less than 100%. I don’t like myself in those moments and I’d rather not subject someone I care about to them. Plus, I think missing one another and the anticipation of seeing one another is a vital part of a good relationship for me. Always being around someone makes you take them for granted, whether you mean to or not.

    d) I’ve had relationships like this in the past that were incredible and made my life richer not just through the financial help but also through the experiences I had. I love trying new things and my SD adored my enthusiasm for the things he enjoyed. And hey, I ended up loving some of them myself! If I never find another great SD, I would still consider all the time and energy spend on my search to be worth it. It’s hard out there but I guess I’m lucky to be able to look back on great experiences and have a reason to tough it out. I know the magic that can exist and I’m willing to search until it’s right.

There are probably more but those were the ones that really stuck with me as I was reading all this. I’m so weird.

  9. I know its a shot in the dark looking for a SM, but would someone mind looking at my profile and give me their thoughts? Profile Number 396424. Thanks in Advance!

  10. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

SincereSD~ I did say most, I know 4 that have gotten great SDs, 2 that gave up… Thank you for the profile and pic comment! What were you going to do in MTL? and that is a nice place for a penthouse, the views must be breathless!

    TLG~ I know a band named Tattooed Millionaires…

    DC~ I just gets me aggravated…. I don’t know why they send mail….

  11. NYC SB says:

Glad i could make you laugh TLC errr i mean TLG

  12. The Lone Gunman says:

    Athletic Sumo

If ever there was a band name, there it is.

Right up there with Tattooed Librarians

  13. SincereSD says:

Sweety SB~ AKA BG says: SincereSD~ are you from Canada too??? And most of the SBs from last year, i’m happy to say, are all settled in arrangements!

BG, great to hear but I understand several gave up as well. I become platonic friends with several on another blog. One of the most active poster got into a conventional relationship and I just got an email from another asking what venues she could meet a SD IRL. I hope the others found someone but I understand the SD scene in Toronto isn’t all that active.

Btw, your profile and pics look great. Makes me sad that I didn’t take that contract in Montreal … it came with accommodations at a nice penthouse suite on Rue Maisonneuve.

  14. Summer that is great advice its better than the Garlic cloves on the Router!!

  15. Summer says:

Here’s a perfect example of that – yes, I actually got this from a married pot SD when I politely refused a pay-per-visit offer of $200/hour:

“You’re a narcissistic whore, but you think that you are better than a “pay by the hour whore”! A whore is a whore is a whore is a whore, no matter how you sugar-coat it, you are a whore! Good luck in your search though!”

SB TRANSLATION: Can’t afford to be an SD and is going to take out his anger and frustration on me. Must be my lucky day.

    My reply:

“So I guess in your eyes, any woman who accepts support from the man she is in a long term relationship with is a whore? Interesting.

Does that include the wife you’re currently cheating on to browse profiles on SA lookin’ for a “quickie” behind her back? LOL.

The fact is you’re not looking at SA because you’re a devoutly religious person or so chaste, now are you?

So… if you have some kind of inner moral dilemma with a perfectly LEGAL activity that others choose to participate in, be my guest but keep it to yourself, pal. Or write your congressman. And perhaps consider seeing a therapist. Or an escort. Whatever works! But do not contact me again. We have nothing left to discuss.

Your emails/IP address have been archived. Any further contact from you in any form or fashion will be considered harassment/stalking and reported to the authorities.”

    That’s how you handle them.

Never hesitate to let them know that you are keeping their info on file and will not hesitate to contact police if they harass you again.

I know it may offend some delicate sensibilities, but when it comes to dealing with mentally-unbalanced people, you just have to be direct.

Never give a stalker any positive or negative attention. Don’t “try to be nice.” Just cover your ass legally with fair warning to leave you the hell alone and *never* speak to them again for any reason, no matter how many mean/rude emails they send trying to get your goat or provoke you. Save the emails as evidence but don’t reply.

Voice of experience, unfortunately. Some nut I rejected on another SB/SD dating site cyberstalked me for 10 months and only ceased his insane behavior after his emails/texts were forwarded to my friends on the local police force, who kindly paid him a little visit on my behalf.

Never hear from him again, thank Ye Gods!

  16. This is what he wrote
Its getting cold up here time 2 cum your way 4 2 weeks hope 2 meet you got a # so I can send you a pic want you 2 know who you r talking 2 and hope 2 meet soon

now I replied with a Catchy lesson in double entendre’s I also told him that mt phone was sitting in a bowl of rice so as to evaporate the Water!

  17. well I have one lemme see if I can paste it hold on!

  18. Summer says:

I *do* archive the best/worst emails I recieve and sometimes read them when I need a laugh. Helps me keep things in perspective.;)

You’re right – it probably is a waste to bother with sending a reply, and most of the time I don’t have time to bother with it. But once in a while, if I’m having a bad day or have 5 minutes to kill, I’ll “edu-macate” `em a little with a bucket of cold water just for the sheer fun of it!

So next time you need a quick retort to an idiotic email from some hardleg, feel free to copy/paste or change anything I’ve shared here and use it freely. Bombs away!!!!! lol:)

DC nailed it – “pre-emptive strike” indeed. Guys who send the rude/insulting emails have some pretty major rejection issues and are actually terrified of women. So terrorizing YOU is their only recourse because they know they’ll never score with you. These are the ones who usually turn stalker-ish, so handle with care. They are just crazy enough to spend what few dollars they have cyberstalking you and trying to wreck your life. Or worse. Sad, scary, and unfortunately too common.

  19. NYC SB says:

i hate being mean but I wont allow anyone to insult me… if i wasnt what he was looking for he could have finished his drink (or not) and said bye… no need to be rude 😀

  20. DC *320283* says:

Hey NYC- we could wear each others clothes, I’m the exact same height, weight, size. I can’t believe someone would call you fat or too old. I love your response…..touche!

I think you are right….these guys must have been rejected left and right before they had all the money and now they are just rabid dogs.

  21. NYCSB and athletic sumo!! lol oh it must be open mic night on here!!
and NYCSB Fat lol you are a long way from fat!! and his teeth shoulda fell out for acting /responding so stupidly!!

  22. Happy Lurker says:

    Hi Summer and Sweetie,
It makes me sad to read what you have to endure from men that approach you. I feel ashamed for their behaviour.
Some people have no manners at all it seems. Wrong upbringing.
Villa, the Camino has brought me many more miracles during May and June. It already seems so far away.
Next year I intend to walk Camino del Cid from Valencia to Burgos and then on to Santiago.
Valencia is a great city, it invented the paella !
Besides, I made some new friends there who will show me around.
Just noticed there is a new blog thingy on.
    See you at the bar.

  23. NYC SB says:

Some men (like some women) are scorn and insecure… add money to the mix and they feel like they can get away with being nasty… if he thought sweety was too old for him he should have just clicked on the next profile… yet he felt entitled to share his “wisedom” with him… i get it all the time… and im 24! A man in his 50s told him I am too old… ummm right… another man who was morbidly obese (and in his profile described himself as athletic and hot) told me I was fat (im a size 0, 115 lbs on a 5’6” frame) to this i replied and you are very athletic… for a sumo wrestler… i mean seriously… if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all

  24. Taz says:

BG – I AM thirty – and proud! I get carded all the time and never get upset 😉

Koi – if you are still in contact with any younger sd’s you can send em over this way 😉 I am a night owl and available to travel…promise I would take good care of em lol…young..old…doesn’t really matter – again age is JUST a number – I just want to find a gentleman 😀

  25. Koi says:

You have some super fun snappy comebacks! It’s almost a waste to give them out to these underseving wannabe’s! Glad you share them with us, though!

  26. Summer! ROTFLMAO oh my They need to print that in the Seeking arrangement book 2nd edition!! lol oh my my eyes are Watering!! Imma call you when I get a Idiot!

  27. Koi says:

    Hi everyone!

I’ve been gone about a day and a half and missed out on quite some chats!

On age. I tend to go up or down a year or two, but I tell them upon the first meeting my real age. When they ask why I tell them the truth. I just don’t want my exact information on the site.

On SB / SD relationships that are strictly companionship, no sex. Yes, it’s true what many have posted. You will restrict your matches quite a bit, but if that is what you are looking for, stick with the. There may only be a small percentage, but it’s something and when they find you, great!

On dating age and age gaps. I’m actually one of the younger sugars. I’m 25 but I look like I’m 18. However, I feel more comfortable with older SD’s late 30’s – early 50’s. Some of you 30 year old ladies would probably be a better match for some of the younger SD’s I’ve dated! I’m one of those people that needs 9 hours of sleep, and tends to crash around 1am, lol. The older men I’ve dated have both appreciated this (because it makes them not look like the older man who can’t hang) and found it endearing at the same time. =)

  28. DC *320283* says:

Sweety- I am older than you and I have never gotten these nasty e-mails. I don’t understand why this keeps happening to you unless these guys are so insecure and have been burnt so many times they think someone as gorgeous as you will reject them. It’s like a pre-emptive strike. Please don’t let it discourage you

James- that was a great post! Very thoughtful and honest.

  29. Summer says:

    Here’s an all-time classic from Summer’s inbox:

“Basically what im looking for is I want to come over to your place 4-5 nights a week. I want u to be waiting for me in bed naked with the lights off. I’ll slip under the covers and do (explicit language deleted) x, y, and z to you. I really want a woman who can go for hours at a time without stopping and I don’t want any barriers (condoms) between us. If you’re really good, I’ll give you $100 each time we meet.”

    My reply:

“Sounds great, but the last man who offered me such a challenge ended up having to take a month off work to recover after one night with me.

Poor thing ended up so raw that he couldn’t take a piss for 2 weeks. The remainder of our monthlong trial arrangement consisted of me administering nursing care 4-5 days a week at his place. Our sexual life after that involved no more than me changing his bandages and listening to him whine incessantly about how sore he was…

Needless to say, I got bored pretty quickly and kicked him to the curb. So I really hope you’re up for this and can deliver all that you promise.

The initial deposit of $100 you propose will buy you 15 minutes of my time on the phone. If we click after that, I’ll have dinner with you for another $100 the next night. And if you’re really good, I’ll be happy to accept $100 for another dinner date the following weekend.

If we should progress onward into an arrangement and mutually decide to take things to a sexual level, I will have unprotected sex with you.

The minimum allowance I can accept for an exclusive arrangement of this nature is 1 million dollars per week.

Thanks for your interest and can’t wait to meet you!”

  30. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    London~ good night!

  31. Lisa Marie says:

    good night London….

    Summer you have mail

  32. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

James~ Thank you! I just wrote to a SD names James… didn’t hear back though… You are not the first person to tell me I look like their ex… story of my life! lol. It’s nice to know that some SDs go a little higher!
Now , I don’t think I look my age though, my friend she’s 35, and looks old, I don’t know if it’s the clothes or the way she holds herself, but when we go out to lunch I feel like I’m with my mom! lol

Taz~ I know, what an Ass, He was 49.
are you in your 30s girl? lol ,

Hey I can party like a Rock star, get up the next day and be ok, or have a dinner in a fancy restaurant! no problem! 😀

  33. LondonCalling says:

Loving this blog! Very informative and funny!

    Oh lawd….apologies Flo Rida…lol..I get it now. Shepherd’s Bush ! Nice …

As for the name London Calling (for Hawk and Flo) …I didn’t know about the history…
I actually just made it up…seeing I’m a Londoner in London…and I was Calling on you lot for some advice. Thanks for letting me on that historic bit…might check it out on You Tube…..eheheeeeheee.

Good night guys….it’s bedtime over this end of the pond….HUGS and be safe…*waving*

  34. Taz says:

BG – that is horrible – what an a*s*s! Curious…how old was he lol?

I tend to agree about women in their 30’s – not sure why everyone thinks it is such a horrible thing! 😀

  35. James says:

Sweety, thanks. Really cute photos, just adorable, and a fun upbeat profile. In your case, I would absolutely believe you were 37, in fact I’d be convinced you were being honest about that because you could get away with lying! You look too much like an ex of mine for my own peace of mind, we were together when she was 35-38 and your smile reminds me of our happy times. When I do need to search, I set the age parameters at 25-38 because of her, and if I lived in Montreal and saw you I would be glad I did! She moved away and is now engaged to a guy she knew back in architecture school … story of our lives.

  36. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

James~ to view an SB by number , open any SB profile, there is a number in the task bar at the top , change it for mine!

    Summer~ lmao, that is funny….

  37. Summer says:

    OK, now for something positive!

Here’s an example of a GOOD email from an potSD who “gets it”:

“I travel to your city about once a month. Sometimes more, but not usually. I would love to have someone to spend an evening with for dinner, drinks, maybe a night out. Really someone that I could call a friend. Ideally if things are there sexually I would love to have someone to wake up with, but not necessary. Just someone that doesn’t run out the door afterwards.

I don’t see any travel involved. But it would be nice on occassion to meet for lunch as well as keeping in touch either by phone or email when I am not in town. Long story short, I have spent my whole married life catoring to my wife and have no friends. I don’t intend to interupt your life or family life anymore than you feel comfortable.

I can meet with you today or tomorrow, just let me know.

    Take care.”

    File this one under “keepers.”

  38. James says:

Sweety, I don’t know how to look up a person by profile number

  39. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Summer~ I should send him a reply, but I don’t feel like wasting my words on an AssHole! lol

    It just pisses me off!

  40. Summer says:

Sweety SB – my Lord, this place is turning into Craigslist 2.0!

“You wrote about enjoying travel and experiencing new cultures, at your age you surely went plenty of places. If You, of all people can Find a Sugar Daddy, You are in Dream land. Get off this site Old HAG.”

If you send a reply at all to this one, just tell him that this site is for adults 18 and up and ask if his mommy and daddy know he’s on the computer.

  41. James says:

NYC SB, sorry! I don’t think we’ve met (although I did wonder at first). That was unclear phrasing on my part. I meant some women under 25 clearly seem to have the maturity for this, and gave a nod in your direction as someone under 25 who everyone here would recognize as such.

  42. Summer says:

RealisticSD – maybe try dating a hottie your own age?

Don’t you know that women don’t hit their sexual peak until they are in their 30s anyway? (grins)

By that age, they’ve also had more experience dining in finer establishments and have amassed an appropriate wardrobe. When I was in my 20s my closet was stuffed with nothing but t-shirts and jeans and I’d only wear a dress to weddings and funerals.

  43. NYC SB says:

sweety – what an crude punk he is… dont even let it bother you…

  44. NYC SB says:

RealisticSD says: They might like the idea of being showered with gifts/money, but they don’t have the slightest clue how to act in public or how to make an SD happy.

Send them to SB school… I will train them for you 😀

  45. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

This is what I think about the age thing, if you look up to a certain age, maybe you are missing out! At 37, I’m certainly not an old hag….
This is the email I just got:
You wrote about enjoying travel and experiencing new cultures, at your age you surely went plenty of places. If You, of all people can Find a Sugar Daddy, You are in Dream land. Get off this site Old HAG

  46. Lisa Marie says:

lol….oh summer…you have to email me. I have some questions for you!!!
    yahhh at unbreakable_dream5

  47. Lisa Marie says:

Well for immaturity….you can have that at any age….I myself am 25. I have quite a bit of experiance in life for my age. I find myself feeling more comfortable with people older than myself because the men my age between 25-about 28 occasionally the 30 yr olds are still immature. (sorry Realistic…I know your not one of them, since you have shown us nothing but mature decorum in this blog)
But it annoys me to no end with the men around my age and thier mentality. I guess thats why I gave on on dating men my age. My old boss would tease me and tell me to date someone well over my age….her husband is 20 yrs older than her. She is 29 and he is 52. Amazing couple.
As I am still new to this site and yet to have an SD. I am not knowledgable on the whole relationship…but I ask a lot of questions to experianced SBs and I am a fast learner. So getting to know the younger SBs is still a good idea just incase you click and they surprise you

  48. Summer says:

As you might have gathered from my last post, I am not the least bit submissive.

Speaking as someone who has enjoyed a good deal of BDSM play and is a frequent attendee at fetish clubs, I am always on the hunt for a new slave but HATE being approached by wannabe “masters” on the interwebs…now, where are those handcuffs? lol;)

  49. RealisticSD says:

As an SD in his 30s, I am pretty much meeting women in their 20s, most of whom are way too immature to understand this type of relationship. They might like the idea of being showered with gifts/money, but they don’t have the slightest clue how to act in public or how to make an SD happy.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

RealisticSB: They may not be immature but just the WRONG SB’s. I am sure the right one regardless of her age range is looking for you right NOW!!!

Summer: I got an intro email from a SD yesterday and I read it but did not yet reply (was going to send my nicely written thank you but) so 1 hour later he RE SENDS it and again in 30 minutes. So at this point I am like… ok, need to send the reply NOW. So long story short, I sent my thank you but email 3x’s!!!

  50. Lisa Marie says:

Summer…..ha ha ha. I LOVE it!!!! I will have to use that one when I get the urge to have a sassy comeback on them.

  51. NYC SB says:

James – Have we met? Or am I misreading your post?

  52. Summer says:

Lisa Marie – I get those annoying “are you a submissive” emails all the time too. Usually I just delete them but occasionally it gives me a sort of sado-masochistic pleasure to send back a “biting” reply such as:

“Oh yes, thank you for asking! I am extremely dominant by nature. Actually, there’s nothing I enjoy more than putting a man in the hospital for a few weeks and crippling him from the waist down permanently.

It’s an even bigger turn-on for me when I get paid handsomely for it by an eager volunteer!”

  53. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

James~ So you automatically think that SBs are older than they say? wow, now for SBs, like me, that put their real age, 37, that is just …..
I like to think that people are honest, maybe I’m wrong, but I never assume that people are older than they say. I just don’t get the age thing. I feel 25, and I sure don’t look my age… maybe I’m wrong there too! ( you could give insight on this!)
sorry, this whole age thing is just getting to me

  54. Lisa Marie says:

I need more pictures… LOL Anyone wanna take pictures for me?? I am normally the one taking the pictures for others. SO I need some recent pics. LOL.

  55. Taz says:

    Lmao @ Summer….tooooo funny!

  56. Lisa Marie says:

Hey OC!!! Hey I still havent seen your profile. I wanted to see if I could get some ideas.
And how are things on your brainstorming for your SD?

  57. Summer says:

And another classy guy from my inbox:

“I have learned, however, that things go sour fast when I have to be careful about what I say. I like being open and honest and not worry about walking on egg shells. The money is for the sex, plainly stated without any pretenses. Companionship is desired and important but not what compensation is for.”

SB TRANSLATION: Wants to be a “regular” client to an escort.

    My reply:

“I totally understand what you’re looking for but I can’t do anything illegal. As you know, sex for money is prohibited by law.

Thanks and good luck in your search…”

  58. Lisa Marie says:

Ha Ha Ha Summer thank you for you hilarious retorts. I will have to keep them in mind with all my replies I have been getting. Got any ideas for sassy replies for my constant BDSM emails??? I keep getting emails asking…”Are you a submissive?”….nothing else…just that.
Which is funny. No where in my profile or my picture do I put forth that I am displaying it.

  59. Summer says:

    Here’s another – unnnnnnnreal:

“This is about sex and it is important to find out if that will be mutually enjoyable before moving to any arrangement.”

    SB TRANSLATION: “free audition”

At this point I chose to delete but if you’re looking for a clever retort:

“This is about money and it is important for me to find out if that will be mutually enjoyable before moving on to any sexual arrangement.”

  60. Summer says:

I’ll throw out a couple of recent examples. I got this one from a pot SD as a follow-up to our first meeting over a quick lunch (during which he proceeded to explain his previous sugar arrangement consisted of seeing a girl strictly for sex 3-4 times per week and then “paying her the following week” – at which point I had to go excuse myself so I wouldnt laugh out loud in his face).

As you can see, this fella doesn’t like to waste time:

“I really enjoyed meeting you. The day got hectic and it looks like tomorrow will be as well. But we ought to at least get togehter again and see what the bedroom chemistry is like, hopefully later this week. I’ll try calling tomorrow night.

    Pleasant dreams sweetheart….”

SB TRANSLATION: wants “free audition.” No intention of setting up an arrangement.

    My reply:

“I found you very attractive and interesting sweety but if you’re just looking for some “bedroom chemistry,” I’m not the right girl for you.

I’ve never enjoyed one night stands. I only date men I can respect and who respect me in kind. But there are lots of escorts in town who can provide you the services you’re looking for.”

  61. Summer says:

I think we should start a new blog or forum where both SD & SB’s can post excerpts from both the best and worst examples of email we get from potentials. (names/handles, etc…removed of course)

Sort of a “what NOT to do/say” guide. Or you could call it “GONE IN 60 SECONDS.” lol.

Not only would it be helpful to the newbies here and give them ideas on how to respond to certain common approaches/situations, it would give the rest of us a few good belly laughs!!:)

  62. Summer says:

Just had to share this…ran across it on Craigslist and LMAO!!!!!!!

  63. James says:

My two cents on the age point. For a man my age (52), the difference between 25 and 35 is trivial. Younger than 25 (recognizing that’s arbitrary), I will have some initial concern about whether the young woman has the maturity to handle the situation — not just from my perspective, but hers too. I have met a number of women younger than that who do — like NYC SB — but it’s a question. At that age, I would want to be sure that the young woman has some other life plan, otherwise I might worry that my contribution to her life might actually be negative. It can be a great supplement and boost to someone at a crucial time helping them to reach their goals, but some young women draw the wrong conclusions from it and some of them start to slide into a professional mentality. Nothing wrong with that either, I suppose, but that’s a different scene and not something I would particularly wish to facilitate. I wouldn’t see anyone younger than 21 on general principles. Over 35 is very situational and depends entirely on the individual. There can be great advantages in being with someone who has more life experience, allowing a different kind of sharing and friendship. There is usually more understanding about logistics, scheduling, even breaking up. And many women, like men, do become more caring and intelligent and skillful lovers over time! On the other hand, there can be more potential issues, more baggage, and more serious needs, which can ultimately jeopardize the essential fantasy. (I’m sorry but I wouldn’t date someone this way who indicates on their profile that they’re here because they have a young child, that’s just too much to take on, I have my own and I take the responsibility of parenting very seriously.) The more mature woman, to her credit, likely has a better sense of her boundaries, tastes, and needs, and will be more direct in expressing it. If you’re in alignment, that can be great. But many SD’s like the daddy part as much as the sugar, want to mentor, guide, share their life learning with someone more impressionable or in their mind more in need of it — whether it’s sex or business or ordering wine. They want to open doors, show the way to a better world, feel like a big shot. They’re not looking for a second wife or they wouldn’t be here. And to be honest, much of the attraction for the SD is the SB’s relative youth, physically, psychic-ly, emotionally — it’s a primal urge. I stress relative youth, and of course to some extent youth is a state of mind and a function of overall physical health.

As to lying about age, I think there was a study that showed that 80% of people on personals sites fudged their age, the average being two to three years. When I see 29, I expect reality to be up to 35. When I see 39, I figure up to 50. I believe any age below 29, for any age in the 30’s I add two or three. I’ve only met one girl who said she was older than she was, but maybe that’s because I don’t favor the young ones.

  64. NC Gent says:

Good morning VC and NYC SB — best wishes on your date ECF! (can I see that bootie in jeans please???!!!!)

  65. EastCoastFilly says:

is it just me or is that woman at the top in the blog pic really creepy? LOL!

on that note I must run. have a great afternoon everyone.

  66. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Oh she does! Not only wine, but the finest first press olive oil… her boyfriend brought some back when he came to visit us in August… YUMMMMM!!!! My mom has it in baccarat and refers to it as “liquid gold”….

  67. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Morning NC gent! I agree with your advice to east coast filly… wear whatever you want, as long as it makes you feel good about yourself!

NYC SB – your sister sounds like my sister! Who is, coincidentally back living in Italy! That would be a great trip… me, you, and your sister, to go visit mine! :)

  68. NYC SB says:

Sign me up VC! make sure she has access to tons of wine hahaha

new moto: wine a little you will feel better 😀

  69. NYC SB says:

EastCoastFilly – 90% of the time I meet pots after work… so I show up in a full on suit… they dont seem to mind… at the end of the day wear what makes you feel good… for me it happens to be my work suits… its funny bc i struggle to find jeans/tops combos when i go out… i always want to pair the jeans with a crisp white shirt a blazer and heels …

  70. EastCoastFilly says:

Well NC Gent there you have it, LOL, I am a bootie girl and jeans always look best on me but I guess I feel more feminine in a skirt? Although they usually don’t hug me back there the best way. And most dinners I’ve been to for first meets are in fancier places.

    Back to the closet….

  71. NYC SB says:

VC – my sister is 20 … she is BY FAR the classiest person in the world… loves wine and cheese nights… and her conversation skills portray maturity of a 30 year old…. I asked her if she would like to go to Vegas for her 21st bday on me… to which she replies “no thanks id rather go to italy and visit museums… i am not that interested in seeing half naked girls spilling their drinks all over me”

  72. NC Gent says:

    Good morning all!

EastCoastFilly — I recommend that you wear whatever makes you feel sexy and confident! I know you will wear what is appropriate for the setting. Regarding your assumption, I like nice jeans, cute top and heels, but I am a bootie guy (well after eyes and smile) lol I think it was NYC SB who mentioned that guys are either breast, leg or bootie guys.

  73. EastCoastFilly says:

Stupid question. Anytime I meet a Pot SD I wear a dress because I think thats what they would want to see. Am I right in that assumption? Nothing tacky or too short as not to send the wrong message in the first meeting, always classy

  74. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting….

Ok, BG, I’ll adopt you as well 😀

As the oldest of four, I’ve always been the “big sister” !!!! My sister, who is 27, is my best friend. It’s quite amazing, given the difference in age, but we have the same mindset, attitude, world view, love of travel and other cultures, etc. Awwww….

  75. NYC SB says:

Awww you guys are too sweet

VC – Same in spanish and the other languages i speak its “how many years do you have” (literal translation)

  76. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

VC~ Yes, It is funny, I know sometimes I make mistakes in English because of my French lol, but in Chinese it’s “what age you are”… something like that …
And, I think I’m still 25 in my mind so…. VC you can be my big sis too!!! lol

  77. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Flo Rida – of course! :) I’d love to be your adopted “big sis”.

    hahahaha – don’t be sorry about my age… I’ve already been 28!

in fact, given all the discussions on age, I was thinking about the way in which we “ask” that question in English… “how OLD are you”…. in contrast to French, for example, they ask, “what age do you have”? without the negative connotations of being “old”.

can’t speak to other languages…. but I find that interesting.

  78. Flo Rida says:

NYC SB – I missed the bit about your age until now – I was going to ask you to be my adopted older sis but now I have to ask you to be my adopted younger sis, how about just adopted sis :-)

VillaC – assuming u are older than 28 (sorry babe) will you be my adopted sis as well? big hugs.

  79. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    Hi Happy Lurker 😉

how was your trek along the Camino de Santiago? xx

  80. Happy Lurker says:

Tell you why I liked the name LondonCalling.
It is the name of an album 1979 by the group The Clash.
It is the opening song of the album.
Weird connection for me to the second song on the album.
It is “My Baby drew up in a Brand New Cadillac”.
Way back I liked that song very much being a bluesman.
Quite a coincidence as just for a funcar I am in the process of obtaining a Cadillac de Ville Convertible 1976. The coachwork is bright red and the interior is white leather (dog is in a small kennel on the backseat).
I might take a canine friendly lady to Belgium this Sunday in that car to spend some time with me in the countryside.
As it is a convertible there will be no steamy windows (Tina Turner).
    No test drive either.
Sometimes I regret being that perfect gentleman.
But the idea in itself makes me that happy lurker.

  81. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Ochila Luna – thanks for finally posting! Welcome!

  82. VillaCypris *396153* says:

NYC SB – yes, I did! And I bet you haven’t had Amedei before… they are made in the “chocolate valley” of tuscany… mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Well, I’m never too busy for my friends. I’d have the car from LGA detour to bring you chocolates on the way to my fantastic SD …. I’d bring him some as well 😉

  83. NYC SB says:

Vila – did you say chocolates??? YUMMMM … if you were in nyc you would be too busy sugar dating 😉

East – Aww thank you… maturity happens when you need to grow up before your time… its not a bad thing … i wish i knew about this during college… i was working 3 jobs to pay my tuition

Hi Sweety :) hope your email is full

Ochila Luna – welcome to the blog…

  84. Taz says:

    Welcome Ochila Lune :)

  85. Taz says:

Well ladies we have some making up for lost time to get at 😉

  86. Ochila Luna says:

Well as a newbie I have found reading the “blogs” very interesting to say the least. What I find most interesting is that the regular bloggers really let their personalities show/shine through. It felt like time to submit a “comment” as I was starting to feel like a voyeur (not in a sexual way).
It seems age is a big deal. Personally I believe it is just a number and so do not lie about it. There are many people in my life and their ages range ALOT! There are some very young ones that have had life experiances that make them mature beyond their years and 70yr ones that have the life experiances that make them very immature and naive. It is not just about “life experiances” but about intelligence as well.

A couple of points some of the bloggers have made seem puzzling to me. One is that whatever one is looking for by being a member of this site they tend to say they want “honesty/trustworthiness” yet “fudging age” is okay? (just a declamation) At first I thought because of my age I should put myself as a SM but seriously I have paid the way for enough men in my life and refuse to do it anymore. I think it started because I was out of our family home at age 16 taking my 15 year old bro in tow and just fell for every story in the book ever after that.

It would be nice if there was another option to chose from such as “Sugars” as we are all sweet people, both the males and females. Perhaps though it would be too much like other dating sites? Anyway I guess the long and short of it is I joined this site because after the 20/20 interview thing and hearing the comment that there are not many older men who can not seem to find women their own age willing to date that I figured *hey I am older and all the other dating sites seem overloaded with under 30s maybe if I join that site I will meet someone who has had life experiances and education closer to my own* So there you have it.

That being said I do believe to the depth of my soul that … with friendship comes trust…with trust comes love…and whatever level that takes for those two people is between them but all of this takes time. In todays’ Zap society it would seem everyone is wanting everything right away. In my opinion if a person starts off “fudging” then right there it tells me about the person and the seed of doubt is sown and so I say “if you want an honest relationship then you have to be honest” There is a saying “you get what you give” and so…
((((BIG WARM HUGS)))) to all who want or need it…..later gators ta ta take care

  87. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    And Taz!

I third that sentiment…. NYC SB is extraordinarily mature and accomplished for being 24! And I, too, wish I’d known about this years ago…. 😉

  88. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    Hi eastcoastfilly and BG!

  89. Taz says:

EastCoastFilly – I tend to agree – I wish I was aware in my twenties too! And also – a forum would be PERFECT for this site – not hard to do either if you are in that field 😛

  90. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

SugarDiplomat SD~ I know that understanding and respect are the basics to any relationship but, many do not understand this. It’s nice to see when someone gets it! I wish more did. Your SB seems to respect and appreciate you, and enjoys making you happy, also something needed in a Sugar relationship. With my ex-SD, I always added intimate times to the schedule, I enjoyed being with him…Always making sure we had a good time, not only sexually, was important to me!
If you weren’t spoken for, I would try to get your attention, for sure 😉 I really enjoy the way you write. It’s different !

VC~ You are so right, it is important to stay grounded, it makes life more enjoyable in many ways. To see the little things and appreciate all of them….

Happy Lurker~ A book? That is very nice. Hopefully it’s something she really wants!

London Calling~ I would just say thanks but no thanks! I have been to London once… loved it! I wish I could of stayed longer. The only problem was the driving! I couldn’t get out of the parking to and make a left turn… it was very funny for everyone!
    NYC SB~ good morning girl!

    Good morning to everyone..:D

  91. EastCoastFilly says:

NYC SB: I was surprised to hear you are 24? You seem so mature! Love that. Feel like I could hang with you and I’m way older, lol. [email protected], wish I knew about this stuff when I was your age.

Good morning everyone. I am almost regretting my first post, I am too addicted to this blog! We need a forum too, where we can post out own Qs.

  92. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Same to you, Liv! The rain stopped and it’s a gorgeous autumn day here, brilliant blue sky, and blazing orange, eggplant and scarlett foliage.

NYC SB – :( if I was in NY I’d bring you some Amedei chocolates…. from tuscany, to die for!!!!

  93. Liv. says:

goodmorning, ladies and (perhaps) gents! I hope you all have a lovely day!

  94. NYC SB says:

Hi Villa, Flo and everyone else… another day of work for me… and im working this weekend… BLAH… the next time I have a day off i would have been working for 19 days straight… so if i become dillusional in my posts blame it on sleep deprivation

  95. Taz says:

TLG – ONE whole year?? You are baaaad :)

Happy Lurker – Great idea for a gift for a first date? Maybe I should set up a meeting with the new to the lifestyle pot’s and give them a book…probably wouldn’t go over too well lol!

  96. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    ciao ciao buon giornata xox

  97. Flo Rida says:

VillaC – hey hon – I can’t stay on long. catch up 2nite thru email. ciao bella

  98. Flo Rida says:

Margo – NYC SB – My data point is 1 person but my SD is EXTREMELY skilled in bed & has done things which would make me blush (& i’m broadminded) – but he’s been a player since high school & as I said before, slept with 1,000 women (he’s clean)- add a billion dollars plus to his bank account and there are women falling over themselves to date him. I don’t think my SD is a valid datapoint though as I doubt other SDs are like this (challenge extended guys!). He’s also in his early 40s and I’m in my late twenties.

  99. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Hey Londoncalling, Margo, and Flo Rida!

  100. Flo Rida says:

Londoncalling – I grew up in Shepherds Bush London – was a bit of a wild child – from a good but broken family (long story morning glory). I’m not the Flo Rida silly, but I do like his music. Btw I’m a girl. Is Hampton Court in Greenwich? You’re in the burrbs. Do you like punk or mod music – the name Londoncalling was 70s? I moved to northern florida – hence the name. Must dash PS He’s probably a flake but humor works better than having bad karma.

  101. SugarDiplomat SD says:

That is great to know. I’ll take your word for it, NYC SB. :-)

  102. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    Hi NYC SB 😀

  103. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    SugarDiplomat –

the seeming conundrum in which you find yourself reminds me of a line I once had in my profile…. “I would like to find someone who enjoys the “finer things” in life, but at the same time, realises he or she is very fortunate to be experiencing them”.

The key, in my mind, is the ability to stay GROUNDED, in the midst of great wealth, opportunities, experiences, people…. this enables one to enjoy all the good fortune, the gifts, the wine, the dinners, the five star hotel suites, the private jets, the trips to grand cities, secluded islands…. and APPRECIATE all of it, without taking it for granted, feeling entitled to it, demanding it.

  104. NYC SB says:

SugarDiplomat SD – after being with an older man… who i was attracted to and he knew what he was doing…. its going to be tough to back to guys my age… i dont even think i want to…

Also, sounds like your SB acted similar to how I did towards my old SD… he would want to go out to dinner… well I clearly had other intentions… TRUST ME you are not in the friend zone if she adds lovemaking to the agenda :)

  105. Margo says:

I cannot agree more with what you advised AoifeUKSB because I’ve learned it on my own experience. A guy can promise lots of things and the chemistry looks great, but then he starts criticizing you and doesn’t keep his promises. So a financial agreement should be done and the first payment received before you actually start your relationship.

That guy told me that he was still struggling with the idea of formal arrangement, but being a generous person he was usually giving more than he ought. And I wanted to show him that I did it not for money, because he treated me well and I liked him. That was a bad mistake.

  106. SugarDiplomat SD says:

VillaCypris says: SugarDiplomat – is this the girl about which you are wondering if you are being too generous? Does she act appreciative of all the things you do for her?
Same girl. I’ve always preferred GFE (girl friend experience) so I never have more than one SB at a time. Obviously, this means that I also prefer my SB to not be involved with other men as long as our relationship lasts. Which might also explain why I tend to err on the side of generosity …better to spoil too much than too little.

VillaCypris says: Does she act appreciative of all the things you do for her? Absolutely, in fact I even suspect it might be a bit of a turn-on for her. But as far as I am concerned, I just don’t want to fall into the “friend” and “provider” category in her head. We have such a sweet thing going so I see it is part of my job to make sure that I keep the passion lit.

Sweety SB says: SugarDiplomat SD ~ You are the kind of SD I need to find. Thanks, and if I weren’t already spoken for then you would certainly be able to draw my attention, Sweety SB. My previous SB was exactly your age (and I am two years older), and worth every second that I spent with her.

Sweety SB says: Someone who understands and respects the person they are with! Of course this is basic to any relationship, sugar or not. Likewise, as an SD I want my Sugar Baby to understand and respect me, too. In this particular case I met my current SB in real life, and this is her first-ever sugar arrangement. So I almost had to go slow and ease her into the situation, teaching her the ropes and being tolerant while mentoring. But it is fun: One of the surprising things that I found myself enjoying is to watch her quick personal growth, her boost in self esteem and how natural she now makes friends in my social circle, which is a segment of society that she had no access to before.

coco says: What do you think younger sb (at least 15 year age difference) bring to older sd? Lots and lots. For instance: It is so much fun when we hit the mall together and we buy clothes and accessories for each other. I would never have picked some of the things that she asks me to try on – heck, I would probably never even have entered some of these stores – but I have to admit that I look way more hot now … to the point that now I even have women hit on me; something which rarely happened before the “transformation” of my off-work wardrobe!

  107. LondonCalling says:

Thank you too Happy Lurker !! I think to be feisty I shall use Flo Rida’s line. Will keep you all posted….doubt he’ll reply though…lol

  108. LondonCalling says:

And whereabouts in London did you grow up @ Flo Rida? I currently live in Greenwich, south east.

  109. LondonCalling says:

Thank you LONEGUNMAN and FLO RIDA…(scratching head, could it be the Flo Rida?? Shawty got low low low… Naaaaay…lol) ….sorry about that…I do the silly at times.

Thank you guys…I think I will use those eaxct words that Flo used…lol…

  110. Flo Rida says:

Londoncalling – I grew up in London. Tell him ‘I’m definitely interested in one-off arrangements provided it means we meet once and I get an allowance, in advance, of GBP8,000 (substitute). It’s so kind of you to be so considerate of my time & my feelings’. Or you can simply say ‘Sorry but I’m not an escort’.

Margo – The best way is to describe what you want, what your previous experiences are & how he should behave & how you will behave, and what is important to each party.’ It’ll take some time & you risk him being a flake but ‘if you risk nothing you get nothing’. Must dash good luck!

  111. Happy Lurker says:

    Hi Margo,
Tell them to buy the Sugar book and read it through.
Then they will understand what it is all about.
Someone mentioned presents earlier for a first meet and greet.
I have decided to bring the book as a present if ever I will meet a pot SB. No doubt it will enrich their sugar career, even if we do not have chemistry.
LondonCalling (how I like that name) tell that person that you are only looking for a gentleman and that he is not in that category.
Always keep it sweet and simple and laugh about it.
When something irritating happens, I make a joke about it and laugh.
    Laughter dispels all frustration.
I just came across an amazing bit of news, a new taboo.
A book has been published. It seems that a survey proves that men today take more blue pills than e.g. an aspirin on a yearly basis.
They might wish to walk around like cloned Bushmen from the Kalahari Desert. These are the only tribe in the world whereby men have this peculiar quality that they are “constantly on the ready”.
On the other hand lots of SBs immediately mail about an immediate sex urge and wish to devour poor me at the first meeting.
Also a new taboo in society. There seems to be a new desease among modern women called ReGS. They are constantly on the verge of an or**m. The advice is obvious for them.
Just emigrate to the Kalahari Desert.
Hope I made your day with a laugh.

  112. Margo says:

    Good morning,
How do you talk to men who are new in that and don’t know much about an idea of arrangement?

  113. The Lone Gunman says:

Welcome to the World of Sugar, so much sweeter than the Mundane world!

He’s looking for an escort, not an SB. The tell-tale ‘one-off’ is the biggest indicator of his intent.

  114. The Lone Gunman says:

It’s Mid-Week! Are you half-way towards a tasty Sugar Weekend Adventure?

Randomly scanning the blog, I see the base conversation has turned to the topic of the age of Sugar participants.

Typically, the Sugar arrangement has been a younger SB/older SD relationship, ranging the level gamut from Basic to High. This appears to lead some pot SBs on the site to question themselves as to whether they are ‘too old’ to be an SB, and/or to fudge their actual age in their profile because of fear of being passed over in searches.

Allow me to offer this observation:

A more mature person offers a vibe of relaxation and comfort that the younger ones never can, because their life experiences so far tend towards go, Go, GO! with little time taken to stop and savor what is transpiring around them–something only experience will teach them. They cannot understand the simple pleasures of just *being* with someone without the pressures of time constraint or performance.

There’s also a common interest aspect that the mature share with one another, with an openness to other ideas and methods.

An experienced SD/SM knows this, and will not arbitrarily rule out a potential based on a number alone.

I recognize that this may seem a bit odd to hear from an SD who acknowledges that his current SBs are all college-age. I also wouldn’t mind connecting with an a more mature SB if the chemistry is right as well.

And, for the record, I DID fudge MY age on my profile. I’m actually 53, not 52. 😉

  115. LondonCalling says:

    Good morning sugars! and Dads…lol

Just wanted some quick advice as I am new to this site. Anyone on this morning?

Well, I have only joined yday and I have recieved a message from a pot SD ( yes I’ve been reading your blogs and I’m down with some of the terminologies, some..lol) anyhow…this is the message he sent.

” you look hot would you be interested in short term or maybe one off adult fun..for spoiling ”

Bloody hell ..lol…I mean I am no expert as like I said I am new to this ….but hmmm…how should I reply to that?

  116. AtlNicole says:

GoodTimes – To my knowledge, this lifestyle is built around a fantasy of older man/ younger woman. Men fantasize about having a younger, attractive woman’s company and women fantasize about being taken care of by an older, more experienced man. I am not sure how popular the reversal of roles is at this point. The benefit to this is that those SMs that are on here are more likely to be serious about the arrangement, so you will have less options but a much lower % of flakes to weed through.

  117. Where are all the SM at? Seems like there’s only a handful who have even logged in over the last few weeks.

  118. AtlNicole says:

I am going to increase my age to 25, which is a 2 year difference, and see if that makes any difference. I will let everyone know in a week or so.

  119. SincereSD says:

BostonSugahBabe says: Sincere- Yeah I am with NYC; getting carded and not being 21 is definitely embarrassing. The excuse “Oh I don’t have my ID on me, I left it at home.” doesn’t really work outside of your own thoughts. I am grateful for the advice and trust me I am taking into account all your suggestions, but how would you feel about an SB lying about her age on her profile? I figure if you can’t tell I am mature enough through initial contact then you probably never will. I figure my real age would be exposed eventually, so why not get it out on the forefront

NYC SB says: Sincere – did you just advocate that Boston lies about her age??? Imagine if she is out with an SD and she orders a drink and then gets carded… how embarrassing for her and for the SD…

Guess I created a maelstrom of a discussion here with my suggestion of changing the age on your profile. Good point about being carded but I assumed all student had fake ID.

How do I feel about being lied to about age? I personally don’t think it’s a big deal was long as the actual age is within 10% and I am told before we meet or on the first date. It’s been my experience that many 21-23yo have increased their ages and a 28-40yo have decreased their ages. Age is just a number but we tend to put so much importance on it. I have meet some very mature 21yo and some very immature 40yo.

My profile reflects an age 3 years younger than I actually am. I’m at an age that some younger SB would consider too old. Does the means justify the end … in my case, it does … the response rate to profile with my “youthful” age was much better than my real age. Anyways, I always tell a pot SB my true age when we meet and they are floored at how young I look.

photogirl says: But then again, you could always put 21, then as the first line in your profile add something to the effect of “I am 19, not 21. I am mature for my age and did not want to be overlook simply because of a number”

Maybe this it the best compromise.

NC Gent says: it doesn’t bother me if an SB lies up on her age as long as she has the fake ID and maturity to back it up. I figure a large portion of women/men misrepresent their age here. I basically assume that an SB who lists her age from 29 to 49 has shaved about 3 to 5 years off her age anyways. If you do a search on SBs, it is amazing the disproportionate number of SBs that are mysteriously 29 and 39 lol I guess the one penny discount.

I’ve observed the same trend. Call me jaded but I expect most age, weight and body type information to be “slightly skewed” as well as photos being old.

  120. coco says:

    Hello to my fellow sugars!
Sugardiplomat: I enjoy the company of older men because they bring table so much knowledge and life experience. What do you think younger sb (at least 15 year age differnece) bring to older sd?

  121. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

SugarDiplomat SD ~ You are the kind of SD I need to find. Someone who understands and respects the person they are with!!!

  122. VillaCypris *396153* says:

SugarDiplomat – is this the girl about which you are wondering if you are being too generous? From what you just described, she sounds like a wonderful, passionate woman, who is eager to please on many levels. Does she act appreciative of all the things you do for her?

  123. SugarDiplomat SD says:

NJSB, you could do worse than listen to NYC SB. At least don’t rule out anything off the bat.

My current SB is the same age as you are (she is 25) and I am her first-ever older man.

In the beginning she was apprehensive about the 14 year age gap between us, and a bit selfconscious about things like holding hands in public. And at first we did not include sex in the many other ways that we enjoyed each others company.

Now, however, she is even more eager for sex than I am. There are times when I am fine with just doing something else but my current SB adds lovemaking to the agenda. She also almost always takes the initiative, and (without meaning to sound crass) it is very clear that she openly enjoys being intimate with someone who is both older and more experienced.

  124. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    Hey SugaCane! Thanks! HAHAHAHA. 😀

I have a very active imagination.

  125. SugaCaneBby says:

VC – LOL! That was a very eloquent description!

  126. VillaCypris *396153* says:

If you’re feeling ‘lazy’ it probably is your body’s and/or mind’s way of letting you know you need to rest… and once you’re rested, then you can be motivated and accomplish things.

  127. AtlNicole says:

I wonder that more here sometimes than when I am emailing a pot. Sometimes, like today, I am just feeling lazy. Lazy me. i need to get motivated.

  128. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Don’t you ever wonder who is sitting on the other side of these words which you read…. I think about that sometimes…. hmmmmmmmm….

  129. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Night BG – bonnes reves! xx

    AtlNicole – 😀

  130. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

night VC~ i’m so tired… talk to you tomorrow

Night to all who are lurking, ladies and gents!

  131. AtlNicole says:

VC – sounds like a bad episode of CSI.

  132. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    VC~ that’s creepy….

  133. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Not to mention deceptive and creepy….. bringing to mind a musty, darkened basement, illuminated by the light of a glowing computer monitor, his body casting shadows on the walls, which are filled with thousands of beautiful women from around the world, that he is “collecting” and about which he is dreaming…. heartbeat fluttering as he looks at all his ‘catches’… with the tortured gaze of someone who will only ever look, and never touch.

  134. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    AoifeUKSB – excellent profile!

You do not post a photo – how has that affected the messages that you are receiving? Do people pretend to be interested, only to obtain your photos, and then disappear? I have experienced this phenomenon, over and over… “SDs” feign interest, ask questions, beg, plead, what have you, and then once they receive the photos they disappear without a trace.

    I think that is shitty.

  135. VillaCypris *396153* says:

I see… too bad SA can’t figure out a way to block the IP addresses from computers in that country… but it probably wouldn’t matter anyways.

  136. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

I wish I had gotten mail from the US or Canada you know

  137. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

VC~ i deleted them but it was something like, serious , no jokes want you to be my sb, i’m a very rich sd

  138. VillaCypris *396153* says:

What do the messages say? from there…

  139. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    VC~ I know…

  140. VillaCypris *396153* says:

That would be hilarious…. especially since that webinar I attended today mentioned Nigeria as one of the *the* most corrupt places on earth in which to do business.

  141. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

VC ~ i’m sure they will find you lmao

  142. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    Hi ladies! :)

Atl – forgot to say Congrats earlier on your biology midterm! That was my major in college… loved it!

Miz_Red – did you see our discussion on the color RED and heightened attraction??? 😉 good choice for your name.

BG …. my profile is new as well…. I feel so rejected, no emails from Nigeria for me! muahahahahah!

All I can say is…. go MINNESOTA!!!!! Twins just beat Detroit tonight in 12 innings, and head off to NYC tomorrow to play the Yankees! Woo! 😀

  143. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    Sweet dreams Miz

  144. Miz_Red says:

    Alright ladies…
Im going to curl up & fall asleep. Talk to everyone tomorrow!

    Sweet dreams to all!

  145. AtlNicole says:

He is a 7 week old kitten that I rescued yesterday. I live on my own and need to have some sort of company. He is the cutest thing I have ever laid eyes on.

  146. Miz_Red says:

Hey *Atl* I love th’ name! What kind of furball is this you’ve got?

  147. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

AltNic~ awww love the name of the little fluff ball….Yeah I do hope I get some real SDs ….

  148. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Miz~ if i knew why i would tell you,… I have no clue! yeah i didn’t understand what she asked ….. communication is the key! but we lost ours so … lmao

  149. AtlNicole says:

Hello my Sugar friends! Hope Tuesday was good to you. I am having a lazy evening with a ball of fluff in my lap. I settled on the name Jasper for my furball.

    NYC – You’ve got mail.

NJSB- I would not imagine many SDs are on here looking for a buddy. Yes younger men tend to be more attractive at first sight, but we have all had selfish lovers before, and most men outgrow that by 40, which is a benefit in itself.

Sweety – you are probably pulling in the scammers that jump on everynew profile. Give it a little time and the real SDs will show up.

  150. Lisa Marie says:

  151. Miz_Red says:

Hahahaha!!! Communication is th’ key ladies!!! LOL! That was funny. Yea *Sweety*, y r u getting all of those places?

  152. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    night Lisa Marie

  153. Lisa Marie says:

ok ladies….I am off. Need to go to bed. Have work early in the morning.

  154. Lisa Marie says:

Ha Ha….well I know that!!! We all are!!!!! LOL

  155. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

LM~ what are you asking me then lol

  156. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    LM~ what i’m looking for? a SD!

  157. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    India, Thailand, Nigeria, and Italy

  158. Lisa Marie says:

    what are you looking for?

  159. Lisa Marie says:

    sweety…you been getting Europe??

  160. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Miz~ I just got my new profile so…. hopefully i will get mail from the americas

  161. Miz_Red says:

Hahaha….id be so sad handing back the keys, lol. But at least now you know what they’re like! So u’ll have sweet dreams, lol!

  162. Lisa Marie says:

I know!!!! They were like….free upgrade because they didnt have any smaller ones. Ugh….thanks for the upgrade but now I am dreaming of a dream that wont come true. LOL. Not anytime soon anyways.

  163. Miz_Red says:

Hahaha…its awful when ur stuck with a rental that’s waaaay better than ur own car. U don’t want to give it back! Lol!

  164. Lisa Marie says:

The rental car place is teasing me with my rental car. They gave me an 08 Jeep Liberty. Makes me miss my Jeep I had back in 2005 before kids. The older Libertys were to small for car seats so I got rid of it.

  165. Lisa Marie says:

lol I wish I was excited about the car shopping.
I have to have my dad sign with me because I have a repo because of my ex husband. So it is going to be an intresting weekend.

  166. Miz_Red says:

*Lisa M*- Me too! Well im so happy you weren’t injured badly. & good luck with car shopping!

  167. Lisa Marie says:

I am still working on my search too. No luck yet.

  168. Lisa Marie says:

I think its all the crazy TX weather kicking my butt. it cant make up its mind if its going to be cold or hot right now. Always happens to me when the weather changes. More like allergies I guess. I hate it.

  169. Miz_Red says:

*Sweety*- My search is “eh”…lol. I was emailing with a pot SD a few days ago, until my phone company started having complications. Now my emails are all out of wack. Hopefully he hasn’t been emailing me & thinking I changed my mind =\

*Lisa M*- My girls & myself just got over being sick. Its the worst! Hope you get over it quickly!

  170. Lisa Marie says:

I have 2 little girls Red.
And I was injured a little. I was truely blessed. I had a small 2004 Malibu Maxx Hatchback. And it was and F250 or F350 that hit me. All that was hurt was my right hand. Its badly bruised. But its healing pretty fast. It hurts when I have to write with a pen…which I have to at work sometimes…but I can manage fine. And of course a few bruses on my arms and the lovely deatbelt brused to go with it.

  171. Miz_Red says:

*Lisa M* Oh no! Were you injured? You’re blessed it wasn’t so bad you lost your life, esp with a little girl to care for! Im so sorry about that! I fear things like that now a days with 2 little girls who need their momma =)

  172. Lisa Marie says:

ugh I think to top it off ….I think I am getting sick. Ugh damn.

  173. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

LisaM~ are you and your daughter ok?

Miz~ wish I had mail from SDs closer to home, how is your search going?

  174. Lisa Marie says:

    Hey Red

  175. Miz_Red says:

    Im good ladies.
    Bored o_o
Waiting to let myself fall asleep.

Any one have any interesting stories or questions tonight?

  176. Lisa Marie says:

I got in a car accident Friday on my way to pick up my daughter from school
Guy pulled out of a car dealership drive while I was in the middle of changing lanes.
    My car is totaled.

  177. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Good, why are you car shopping? what happened?

  178. Lisa Marie says:

    how are you doing??

  179. Lisa Marie says:

eh tired. busy day. still a little sore. Looking forward to the weekend…but not at the same time. LOL. Not looking forward to car shopping Saturday.

  180. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Lisa M ~ good and you?

  181. Lisa Marie says:

I am lurking….how are you ladies?

  182. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Hey Miz~ guess everyone is off watching baseball or something!
    How are you?

  183. Miz_Red says:

    Good evening Ladies & Gents!

  184. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

    Hi all,

Taz~ I couldn’t agree more, Where are they hiding?

OC~ I’m so happy for you girl!!! YAY

James~ glad your new search is going well!!

  185. Summer says:

    SF SD writes:

“ladies, don’t expect to attract more than “basic” level players (see Male SB’s classification scheme) if your strategy is to plaster you *ss all over the Internet.”

Just a brief snippet I particularly enjoyed from SF SD’s very well-written and thoughtful post!

You said it ALL in one sentence, SF SD.
Hope the new girls are taking notes…;)

  186. The Lone Gunman says:

    OCSugarbaby says:

Ok, before I dish… TLG, I am currently missing my favorite “Guia La Bruna” Babydoll night’y. Did you see anyone lurking around after you left?

    I….ummmm, er…ah……

sound of running feet and slamming door….

  187. NYC SB says:

NJ SB – I think that finding such an SD will be time consuming and might not ever happen. The only time I have ever encountered someone who was not looking for sex was a man who had serious SUB/DOM fix and he wanted me to basicaly abuse him… walk on him with my dirty shoes… and other things I was not comfortable with.

Keep an open mind I am your age as well… you would be surprised at how incredible some of these men look… and you might even find them to be much better lovers than guys our age.

My advice is to take a look at old blogs for good advice on how to handle this whole thing…

  188. AoifeUKSB says:

Like you i am new but i will give what i believe to be a common sense view.
Perhaps the reason you don’t feel you can be intimate with a man 40 yrs upwards is simply because you have never done it before and just as, i’m sure, you would not find every 24 year old male to be attractive enough to be intimate with so you will find with older men: some are more appealing than others, it really depends on the man in question.

Rather than restrict yourself in your search to a non intimate relationship why not restrict yourself only to those men you feel some chemistry/sexual attraction for.

i am also new at the giving advice thing so hope that helps. X

  189. Taz says:

James – I couldn’t agree more :) now where are all those like minded sd’s hiding??

  190. lisa says:

NJ_SB I seriously doubt you’ll find an sd that will give you 3000 a month just to be buddies.

  191. NJ_SB says:

Is it ok if an SB requires no intimacy? meaning no sex? I’m 24 yrs old and I can’t imagine myself making love to a 54 yr old or even 40 yr old man? alot of the men come on so strongly in the email…especially with the sex part. also is 3000 alot to ask for a month, in terms of an allowance? a potential SD wanted to “negotiate” my allowance fees…sorry i’m new…so i really don’t know the process here…please don’t feel offended about what i say

  192. AoifeUKSB says:

James – i quite agree. In my view its actually less messy to agree an allowance figure at the outset and not have to mention it again. Gifts can act as a sort of bonus for good behaviour…lol.

  193. James says:

Thanks NYC SB, my search has already been fruitful!

AoifeUKSB: I agree with those who say it depends on what you’re looking for. Personally, I think that the gift/spa approach is too vague and has a tendency to become a control thing, unless you have some reason to really trust the guy. That’s hard to know at the onset. Do you want to be waiting for his generosity to strike him or worse, “suggesting” presents and then negotiating about them? I understand some guys may think it’s more genteel and less mercenary, but to some extent they’re kidding themselves and to some extent they’re kidding the women. I’ve said it before, I’m a great believer in those green Universal Gift Certificates!

  194. Taz says:

NYC SB – yes! stop thinking about him!!

EasyCoastFilly – I tend to agree – for summer my wardrobe is WONDERFUL – winter clothing..much to be desire – perhaps it has something to do with not liking the cold 😉 Any SD’s that want to go on trips to warmer climates – I am your girl lol!

  195. AoifeUKSB *349207* says:

EastCoastFilly – yes, i see what you mean. Maybe if I had previous experience i could accommodate his needs . shame though cos he has been one of the few genuine enquiries i have had. ooh well the search continues.

  196. NYC SB says:

    Very true east coast

A – he will support the maintenance (spas/clothes/hair make up) 😉 but you know best

  197. EastCoastFilly says:

AoifeUKSB: I agree on the maintenance and clothes. Summer is easy for me have lots of cute going out stuff but winter is a whole other thing. I need nice clothes for winter so I am trying to be creative with shopping ideas. Looking expensive for a lot less is a challenge!

  198. EastCoastFilly says:

Sorry NYC SB, I know it sucks. Every time I get let down like that I remember thinking that I’ll never find that again and BAM before you know it you find another great one!

  199. AoifeUKSB *349207* says:

NC Gent and NYSB – Thanks for your thoughts.
I think it best we part ways and carry on searching. I haven’t actually had an SD before- one of those dreaded newbies – so its hard for me to see how it could work.

I do have a full time job which just about covers my living expenses so it would have been nice to have a bit of extra cash to play with. Afterall i would be expected to look my best so I imagine i would have to start spending more of my own cash on maintenance and clothes etc. so financially wouldn’t work out for me at all.

  200. NYC SB says:

Eastcoast – yes… chemistry between us was beyond intense… sad part he was willing to provide allowance and shopping and mentoring… ugh… i need to stop thinking about him

  201. EastCoastFilly says:

AoifeUKSB: I just posted about a guy who first said he would be there financially or at least eluded to it in his profile but then turned into a gift/spa daddy. It was nice for a while but I need my bills paid and all the facials in the world wouldn’t make me pretty enough to make the bills disappear, LOL. You need to remember why you are on here and don’t be with someone if they don’t fit your requirements. If you can still meet someone else who can fulfill your monetary needs and keep this SD for the pampering well then you have a bonus! If something feels off it usually is.

Perhaps he feels that if he buys you things he has more of a mistress as opposed to a SB? If that makes sense, maybe he feels less used than he would if he admitted to being a SD?? Not sure if that makes sense or if its coming out the way I mean it?

  202. NYC SB says:

AoifeUKSB – he is what i would call a “gift daddy”

some men for whatever reason are uncomfortable with a monetary exchange (women too) and prefer to provide their support in terms of shopping and gifts and travel rather than cold hard cash. Now if you are in a position where you dont actually need monetary support and you have chemistry with this man then by all means go for it. my best Sb experience has been with a gift daddy… it was almost like living in a fantasy world where i got to travel and have fun and do things i normally couldnt afford…

  203. EastCoastFilly says:

    Good afternoon everyone!

    VillaCypris: great legs!

OCSugarbaby: YAY! Sounds like you found something good.

Realistic: sorry for asking, I was just curious as I have gotten a feel for where everyone else is from. Sometimes you wonder if opinions, tastes and such vary from location to location and age range (I think I read you were younger so I wanted to keep track of your take on things). I don’t post pics. Too uneasy about it and don’t want men in my “neighborhood” to see me.

NYC SB: I piggy back on what James said, sorry about NYSE. Isn’t it always the guys we have the best chemistry with that end up being the wrong guy. I had that happen early on here, one guy claimed to be able to give something he decided not too, I know he can financially but kinda did a 180 after we met but by that point the chemistry was insane we continued to see eachother but it was more of a gift exchange than what I need which is cash. God help me, I was helpless against his ways, LOL. So I remained strapped for cash but I was pampered in the spa and even more so where it counts. He was my first older man and I won’t look back 😉 SO glad you are rid of him!! NEEEXXXTTT.

As far as the lying about age. Everyone does it. I have met so many guys who said they were 41ish and turns out they were 48+ Duh I could tell right away. I didn’t’ mind in the end but at least stay within a couple yrs unless you look that fantastic which I have yet to see. But again, I do expect it. A couple guys started at 45 and by the third date were up to 50, LOL. Gotta love it. OH and don’t get me started on what the definition of athletic means. Guys, your profile reflects your current shape, not the shape you were in in college. But alas, that is a whole other blog topic.

For the women I understand it as well. I myself am upper thirties so I feel like I am left out of the running a lot of times where if they met me in real life would have no issue and never know how old I am. One guy said I should list myself in my 20s. I would never, but made me feel wonderful! So I really don’t see it as being wrong although if someone was offended I can see why too. Don’t think I can find a right answer to that one. Only issue I have is a girl of 18 posing as a 20+. Feels a bit weird. Most men I know would never go that low in age so they may feel odd dating someone who could be their daughter. Sounds icky to me but then again I am not a man.

In the end, does it really matter if there is an attraction and chemistry. This whole website is kinda about an illusion, a fantasy? Who cares of your SB is 40 when she looks 30, ya know. Especially on a site where we are all tipping the scales of whats morally right or wrong in society’s eyes, so whats a couple years in the grand scheme of things?

  204. NC Gent says:

Aoife — if you aren’t satisfied with the deal, tell him so. Stand your ground!

  205. AoifeUKSB *349207* says:

    Hi everyone.

i have a question and i’d be grateful for your thoughts.

I am liaising with a pot who is adamant that he does not want a financial relationship but will pamper as much as the sb likes. When i enquired what this means exactly he says: well with my one and only mistress i took her on lots of holidays, stayed in 5 star hotels and bought jewellry, clothes, shoes etc which is all well and good but i can’t help thinking a bit too vague and bordering on control freakery. Why not just decide a dollar sum as well and let the sb buy what she likes too. My thoughts are that we are not compatible. Am I wrong to see it this way.

  206. NYC SB says:

James – I love SA because there is something so honest and up front about it… I understand the need for discretion of course but this one blatantly lied to my face… even when I confronted him with evidence he tried to lie… not cool at all

Are you excited for your SB search?

  207. Lisa Marie says:

James, I am glad your moving. And the respectable thing to do is face to face. Its good your doing it that way. Some would not be so mature. Strange to say grown adults do that, but sadly they do.

  208. NYC SB says:

    hi villa 😀

  209. James says:

NYC SB, glad to hear that! That’ll teach me to be so cynical! It all goes back to honesty and trust, doesn’t it.

Lisa Marie, trip was a lot of flying for a short event, thanks. My friend has not returned from Australia yet so no final resolution. As I said before, I’m intent on talking to her next in person. She’s still sending me emails just about every day, trying to strike various notes in hopes of finding one that works. Meanwhile, you can rest assured I have not been standing still. :-)

  210. NYC SB says:

James says: NYC SB, sorry to hear about Mr. NYSE. I think he is a big faker, I thought so at the beginning with the whole immediate investment thing, but didn’t want to judge too fast. But I am sorry for your disappointment. You don’t sound like someone who’s easily discouraged though, so hang in there.

James – lol Mr NYSE is a different man from my Waldorf SD who is the one which offered the investment… Waldorf SD is actually getting me incorporated as we speak :) He was also up front that he is otherwise attached (aka married) so I knew that from the start… Didnt bother me and I appreciated the honesty

None the less Mr NYSE was someone that I will miss not having around… i just wish he didnt lie :(

  211. Lisa Marie says:

Hey James. how was your trip? How is everything going with you previous situation you posted about?

***everyone, if I dont reply back very soon, I had to jump off. I sould be back on later or tonight.

  212. James says:

Hi guys, back from a business trip to the OC and kinda surprised to see a big block quote from a posting of mine featured on the blog!

Sincere’s taxonomy of newbies holds a lot of truth. It’s amazing how often newbie SB’s just vanish or no-show for dates … cold feet I guess.

NYC SB, sorry to hear about Mr. NYSE. I think he is a big faker, I thought so at the beginning with the whole immediate investment thing, but didn’t want to judge too fast. But I am sorry for your disappointment. You don’t sound like someone who’s easily discouraged though, so hang in there.

SugarDiplomat, don’t have time to give it the extended discussion it deserves and I’d want to know a lot more before offering any advice, but I think your concern is valid. You may be overwhelming the girl. And try to think down the road — can she live like that forever, does she want to, do you want her to? The expectations bar has been set pretty high — is it sustainable for both of you? It may be a thrill to sweep her off her feet, but she may start to feel ungrounded ….

Gemini29, that’s a funny point about guys saying “I’m not one of those creeps.” Many SB’s say the same thing though — “I’m not like the other girls here,” “I’m way better than anyone else you’re going to find here.” I suppose it’s human nature, to try to distinguish yourself in what appears to be a crowded marketplace (although far less crowded in reality when you strip the fakes/newbies/wannabes/etc. away). But in defense of both sides, we all hear stories — often it’s a good icebreaker in a first meeting, I mean I have some pretty funny doozies to tell — and we’re all trying to say we get it, we’re aiming higher.

General comment about photos, definitely an increase in fake photos and they are definitely more racy. Again, the marketplace at work. Personally, they make me skeptical. I prefer something that shows the hair, some skin (great sign of health), a sense of figure, and most importantly, some personal wit or style. Doesn’t require fancy lingerie to achieve. I can well understand why people don’t display photos (heck, I don’t even display my profile), or try to obscure their faces, because I think there’s a lot more people cruising this site out of curiosity than before. But the number one lure for any man, whether he realizes it or not, is the look in the girl’s eyes. My opinion anyway.

    Good luck to everybody!

  213. Lisa Marie says:

oh yeah…OC I still havent seen your newly done profile….share please??

  214. NeOhio SB says:

OC: The tweaked profile, the RED shirt…along with a classy, great woman….Congratulations. If it was “perfect” and “amazing”…i would NOT even think to ponder second thoughts. Go for it. You know the needle in a haystack is very hard to find. Savor the moment….and don’t let him go. Could just be a chance of a lifetime. Congraulations again…you are soo deserving of a great man.

  215. NC Gent says:

There is a major difference between a decade and a few years, IMHO.

  216. lisa says:

yes when I met him I kept thinking “he looks so much older than my 57 year old lover and he says he’s 53. Anyway he turned out to be a month long sd that understood the concept so it could be overlooked. This way way back in May and he was from the other site

  217. NYC SB says:

Lisa – maybe he thought you wont catch on… however im sure you were onto him based on his looks as well

  218. lisa says:

nope he wasn’t. if you change your age, you have to change your birthdate, highschool graduation, marriage, and children’s ages along with your favorite songs when you were in junior high, etc what a tangled web we weave when we practice first to deceive, lol

  222. DC *320283* says:

    So happy for you!!!

  223. lisa says:

Back from the store. Kinda sweaty, shouldn’t have worn a sweater dress even though it’s sleeveless. Everyone is in shorts here.

Bought one of those honeycrisp apples everyone is bragging about here, not impressed, cost 1.58 for one apple. I don’t like apples anyway.

I think honesty in age is important even if you don’t look your age. I’m 43 and I dont’ lie about it. I would find it difficult to lie as I would have to be thinking constantly about everything I said as it would have to balance out with my age. If I said I was 35 and then mentioned graduating in 84, that would make 10 when I graduated, 17 when I had my daugher after being married almost 4 years which would have made me 13 when I got married. You know what I mean when you get to talking to someone you might let something slip. Like the sd I met that said he was 53, yet when we passed the big clock at the mall that said “established 1962) I mentioned that the mall was open before I was born and he mention that being the year he finished highschool. Added it up if he was 53, that means he finished highschool at age 6 . He was actually 65.

  224. NC Gent says:

    Congratulations OC woooohooooooo!

  225. Flo Rida says:

OC – Good things come to those who are good and you my dear are top class.

  226. Taz says:

OC That is so great!!!!! I am so glad you had such a great time and clicked. I hope everything prgresses wonderfully for you!

  228. RealisticSD says:

OC, I am so happy for you! Sounds wonderful.

  229. DC *320283* says:

    Hi NC-

I don’t think 3 years is a big deal or that much of a stretch for an SD

  230. Flo Rida says:

SouthernGent2 – Jimmy Buffet concerts tend to attract Southern Barbie gals too. I’ve only been to one – not my scene, but it’s an experience and the Hawaiian t-shirts (though poorly made) look good in Florida, Asia, Cuba and South America.

DC – Yes it must have been the trip plus your name – ciao

GinaZ – if you’re lurking – good luck with your studies. Miss you girl.

  231. RealisticSD says:

Why not be honest? Marketing yourself and misrepresenting yourself are two different things.

Once I dated a girl for a year, thinking she was a couple of years younger, and a decade later I found out she was older than me. Not a big deal, but definitely a big surprise, especially since I was in my early 20s at the time, so it would have made no difference.

Also, I’d rather not say where I’m from on the blog, but if any of the regulars wants to share their profile #, I’ll be happy to.

  232. SouthernGent2 says:

Flo Rida – lol on the southern barbie talent. But you are pretty much correct with your comment. And I even admit to liking those barbie dolls. Go to a college campus on a Sat game day in the south to see all those barbies gathered in one spot.

Other comments – I just would have a problem with someone lying about her age on the profile. I can see someone 20 saying 21, or someone 30 saying 29, but that is about as gray as I would be willing to tolerate. What else is she lying about would be my thinking?

  233. Lisa Marie says:

hey everyone I am off and on today. hows everything going in sugarland?

  234. DC *320283* says:

Flo- I was in Washington, DC on a trip a few weeks ago. Perhaps that is why you thought that. maybe I mentioned it.

As for lying about age…..I don’t think a few years up or down is a big deal but doubt it will make that much of a difference at this site.

I have been dating for a while….. at SD sites and regular dating sites and every single man I have met has lied about their age. Especially the SDs if they are over the age of 60. Every one has listed their age around 50 when it is clear they shaved off a whole decade. When I meet them I don’t have the heart to ask them their true age and frankly it doesn’t matter since I am not looking for a relationship here.

If they did that at a non sugar site it would piss me off.

People have told me I could knock a decade off my age as well but that would bring me to age 40 and that wouldn’t make much of a difference at this site anyway. I figure I appeal to men who have been with younger SBs and choose to give an older woman a try. It may account for only about 1% of the men here LOL, but nonetheless they are out there.

Good Morning/Afternoon Sugars! ** Update from my AH-Mazing sugar pot date last night…
Ok, before I dish… TLG, I am currently missing my favorite “Guia La Bruna” Babydoll night’y. Did you see anyone lurking around after you left?

The first date: One word Perfect. I have to say that I might be done with my search. He is open to far more than the SD/SB arrangement. Which for the first time in years I can see myself considering the possibilities. You just never know what opening your heart and mind will bring. I will be giving him my answer today. The conversation was fun and so entertaining! The night flew by. I was sad to see it end. The best part is if we had met in IRL, we would have been drawn to each other instantly! Similarities’ yet complimentary contrasting differences. I feel good about the decision. But will still give myself the better part of the day to ponder it a bit more.

  235. NYC SB says:

Flo – 137 hours… hahaha not fun… been there done that… on a non busy time i work about 60 hours and during crunch time i average about 120 (including weekends) again… NOT FUN… but at least I can pay my own bills should an SD drop out of the picture

  236. Taz says:

NC – well those that are so closed minded are perhaps not the sb for you 😉

  237. photogirl says:

Thanks NC Gent – When I am out with my oldest, jaws drop when they realize I am her mother, not her sister(she is 17). Here’s to hanging on to my youthful look for many many years to come! :)

  238. NC Gent says:

yeah Taz — not most, but I have seen a number of profiles that have said “no one over 45” maybe they should have said no one who looks older than 45 :) I guess that is the equivalent of the nickel discount!

  239. BostonSugahBabe says:

One more quickie before I hop in the shower…

I think it’s more understandable and acceptable for someone who is older to..stretch the truth about their age. I don’t think there is a big difference between 45 and 48, but there is a huge difference, in terms of accessibility to things, between 19 and 21. Damn our laws, lucky Brits.

NC Gent-It would figure, missed opportunities and no jobs available..what a recession. I’ll stick to schooling I guess for the next couple of years. It’s come to the point where you can’t even get a job at McDonald’s anymore. Competition for flipping burgers–Who would’ve thought!

  240. NC Gent says:

I understand your perspective photogirl. You could easily pass for early 30s. I guess it just puts the onus on the SDs to expand their search :)

  241. Taz says:

NC – hmmm so maybe I should put 25 since people tell me I look 20 😉 Lol..I wouldn’t do it myself but I think a happy medium is just fine – not that it would matter to most SB’s whether you were 42, 45, or 48 😉

  242. photogirl says:

Boston – Considering your specific age I personally would not change it.
It was suggested that I shave off a few years on mine I’ll be 37 right around the corner, but I decided against it. Those that have premium accounts search specific age ranges so those of us outside of the say 25-35 range are obviously not even going to be seen even if we may look 25. This is where patience comes in on our part :)

But then again, you could always put 21, then as the first line in your profile add something to the effect of “I am 19, not 21. I am mature for my age and did not want to be overlook simply because of a number”

I am sure that some of the more eloquent writers here can rephrase that better for you.

  243. NC Gent says:

Hi BostonSB — we just hired someone in our Mass. office but pretty sure it wasn’t for your skill set :)

  244. NC Gent says:

Taz — yeah I am sure there are plenty that tell the truth on their age too. I lie on mine. People usually tell me I look about 42 and I am 48, but I put 45 on my profile. One person complained when I revealed my true age, but other than that, it has never been a problem.

  245. Flo Rida says:

All – Do not lie about your age – & that applies to downward upward SD and SB – dishonesty is not the route to go. Having said that a range is ok, massage it with humor (see above on designated driver). Finally I think a fake ID is equally bad (though I know people do it – I’m glad I grew up in London where I could drink at 16).

  246. BostonSugahBabe says:

and Sweety turn that frown upside down…you’ll find one soon enough…Im sure of it 😉

Going to take a nice hot shower to warm myself up, then Japanese homework…I’ll be on and off when I need a distraction..Get this–the lesson for this week in Japanese is shopping. I’ll be ready for my Japanese SD’s in no time 😀

  247. NC Gent says:

I think as long as you reveal your true age when you meet, it isn’t that big of a deal, as long as you have provided recent pictures. I would say about 3/4 of the potential SBs that I have met misrepresented their age. It really wasn’t a deal breaker if they had provided recent pictures. With the ones that provided older (and slimmer) pictures, it really sucked.

AtlNicole — I met one SB who added years to her age — she said she was 26 but actually was 21 — I felt a little uncomfortable, but she was very mature so it was fine.

  248. BostonSugahBabe says:

Ack! This age thing is a toughy, two SD’s say them don’t mind and I should, I just hope all the rest don’t take offense. I don’t have a fake ID, if I want liquor I have other ways of obtaining it, plus I am turning 20 soon and then 21 soon after. I am in no rush to purchase a bottle for myself. I would never want to come across as a liar, especially on first impressions.

AltNic- Good Stuff Honey! Go Shawty, it’s your birthday! Ahh to have 60 degree weather everyday…but the cool weather does have it’s perks, and I must say I do love Boston a whole heap.

NC Gent- Yes New England is definitely famous for Fall Foliage, Maine has probably already turned yellow, orange, and red (ahh, how beautiful). We are still pretty green in Boston–Any chance that office is hiring 😀

  249. Taz says:

    NC Gent – I assure you I don’t lie at all on my profile…I am 30 – not 29 😉 AND my profile states 30 :)

  250. Flo Rida says:

VillaC – Suggestion only – face pic first, full body shot second, leg shot 3rd. Love the write up.

Boston & Sweety – I agree with VC – I would not lie on age, you’ll be found out later & it’s not worth it – maybe say ‘After we have established chemistry & an arrangement, I can be the designated driver’. I think instead of stating your values (fun etc) prove it with an example or story. Great job both.

DC – I did not know you were in Seattle. I assumed you were in Washington DC – silly me.

Must dash I have some errands.

  251. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

NC~ I didn’t shave anything off my age , but i am thinking about it
since most SDs want someone 35 and under

  252. skip says:

wait hold on why would youlie about your age
people are going to know when they see you

i mean some of us (me) have trouble looking 20
most of the time i look like i am 12 lol

  253. AtlNicole says:

NC Gent- I have seriously considered adding a few years to my age. I have always been told that I am mature for my age, and I get the feeling that the kind of SD I am wanting to attract may be looking at a slightly higher age range. I hate the idea of starting off with dishonesty though, so I have not made that decision yet.

  254. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

Boston~ I got 6 yesterday and 3 today , but like I mentioned, it’s from India, Nigeria, Thailand, and Italy… Nothing from here or the US :(

  255. BostonSugahBabe says:

Sweety–Oh My Gosh….You are gorgeous!!! Seriously, how many hits do you get a day?

  256. NC Gent says:

Hi BostonSB — it doesn’t bother me if an SB lies up on her age as long as she has the fake ID and maturity to back it up.

Also, my company has an office near you BostonSB — I always try to find an excuse to come up to that office this time of year – it is spectacular :)

  257. AtlNicole says:

Hello Sugars. Just rocked the socks off my Biology midterm. Glad to have it over with.

I hate GA weather until I start to hear what you are all putting up with. At least I get to enjoy clearly defined seasons. It sounds like some of you jump straight from Summer into Winter. It has been sticking around the 60s here, which would be nice if it stopped raining for more than a few hours at a time. I feel like I live in the land of mud.

  258. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Skip – you are the first one I have seen….

Boston – hmmmmmm…. difficult question…. it would be rather embarrassing, as someone pointed out, to be “carded” in the presence of your SD, and then have to fess up about having lied about your age….

perhaps some would not care? and others would extrapolate from that initial deception to assuming that you lie about other things as well?

  259. skip says:

Good Morning Flo! Sleeping in is a great pleasure!

Villa-Thank you my dear. So what do you think about Sincere’s suggestion of changing my age to 21?

Hello NC Gent… I love this time of year as well I admit it, seeing the fall foliage, all the leaves blow magically around me as I walk to the bus stop for school, the birds chirp–It’s like a disney movie, with a lot less cheese if you know what I mean. Question? What would you think of an SB who has 21 on her profile, but is really 19?

  262. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

hey my comment came out all flooky,,, i said, not sure I should add it, profile#, but since it’s new. I want input people

  263. Sweety SB~AKA BG*395953 says:

  264. NC Gent says:

Heya VC – -great new profile :) and BG — it is starting to cool off here in NC and has been raining like crazy, which is good because I seeded my lawn about 10 days ago. I love fall, so I am welcoming the cool weather :)

  265. VillaCypris *396153* says:

    Good morning, Flo rida! :)

Boston – happy to offer my opinion. You write well, and your profile conveys that you are a mature young woman who has herself “together” and is excited about accomplishing her goals!

  266. BostonSugahBabe says:

Thanks for the feed back Villa…I appreciate it mama.

As for the weather, here in Boston it’s kind of hectic. One day its a beautiful 67 degree sunshiny day, then its a bleek gloomy 45 degree just-wanna-stay-inside-and-not-go-to-this-6 o’clock-class kind of day :-/

  267. Flo Rida says:

SDs in general – Maybe the L word I was thinking of was ‘lesbian’ I’ve always been attracted to my roomie. Haaaa got your attention didn’t I. Only kidding. SD is divorced & I live in his three unit condo. Maybe I can say I ‘little L u?’ It’s so nice to sleep in.

SBs & SDs – I truly think there’s someone for everyone the path is just much harder but if you give up I guarantee you that you won’t find anyone.

NYC SB – the longest SD worked is 137 hours one week – I timed him – it was brutal but that’s why he’s rich.

AtlNicole – I lived in Atl, Atl does have talent but it tends to be the barbie southern talent (forgive me southern ladies). You have a unique look which means it’ll take some time. As I said above be patient.

VillaC – haven’t looked at your profile yet but will do so as soon as I get some oolong into me.

  268. BostonSugahBabe says:

Villa- I can imagine the increase in tickets sold by having THE Brett Farve as your QB. Allen had a stupendous game, 4.5 sacks, amazing. It was a pretty good game if I do say so myself, if only they had recovered that onside kick….

Any who back to sugarland…yes that line is definitely coming out/re worded etc

  269. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Someone with good qualities that I can look to when their bad ones start to show.

Everyone has “bad qualities” or “undesirable traits”… perhaps not necessary to point that out… instead, expand upon the good qualities to which you are attracted… could say, “Someone who is honest, respectful, honourable, a gentleman”.

  270. DC *320283* says:

  271. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Bye Lisa! Stay cool :)

Boston – this line: I’m looking to be mentored, wined, dined and spoiled like I should be.

Based on what some of the SDs mentioned previously, I would take out the “like I should be”.

You could say, “I enjoy being mentored, wined, dined and spoiled.”

or, “I’m looking for someone to mentor me, enjoy fine wine and dinners, and mutual spoiling.”

  272. lisa says:

I have 4 winter coats now and they hang lonely in my closet. It’s short sleeves again today. I think I got to wear my winter coats about 20 times last year.

  273. VillaCypris *396153* says:

Oh yeah, AP had a good game last night… but Jared Allen was intense. Great game all around…. Favre saved the Vikings franchise this year, as they had so many unsold tickets, and were talking about blacking out some games in the local market, which would’ve pissed people off to no end.

Signed Favre and sold upwards of 15,000 tickets the next day. Nothing happens by ‘accident’. 😉

  285. BostonSugahBabe says:

    Good Morning Sugars!

Sincere- Yeah I am with NYC; getting carded and not being 21 is definitely embarrassing. I figure my real age would be exposed eventually, so why not get it out on the forefront.

All this talk about Louboutin…jeez I definitely want to see what all the fuss is about.

I would still like a bit more feedback, having some from an SD is truly helpful. (#365985).

I hope everyone is enjoying their week. May we have a speedy journey to the weekend!

  286. EastCoastFilly says:

Realistic SD, just curious if you don’t mind me asking, where are your from?

  287. lisa says:

Back from doing laundry. It’s supposed to be really hot here today. Heat index might be 110, BG please send Canadian air to Texas, please.

DC to answer your question, blue members are a waste of time. Orange members usually are too but at least they are paying members and can read your email.

RealisiticSD given the choice, I’d rather be shot in an American city than spend my life in a middle east prison for showing my hair. Most recently a reporter was facing the posibility of being beat or something for wearing pants in public, so the thinks that are innocent in our cultural can get you killed in another. I learned alot about the Islamic culture in my 3 year marriage so it’s not just speculation.

Off to the grocery store now. Have a good tuesday everyone.

  288. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

VC~ change your number lol…. And yes I totally agree that SDs are missing out based on age, i’m 37 and everyone i know tells me i look in my 20s, and act younger than my age…. although i still have all the knowledge to get me by!
NYC SB~ red is an amazing color, my nails and lips are always red… and well I dont have louboutins right now…. but i will soon…

  289. VillaCypris *396153* says:

That’s a good point, NYC SB – I have favourited “blue” profiles, and then a few days later they upgrade to orange. So you never know who will decide to ‘take the plunge’!

  290. VillaCypris *276489* says:

DC – many thanks – for the hair and for the age comments! 😀

age is really just a “state of mind”… unfortunately people get caught up in the numbers aspect of it and rule out great people based on one arbitrary factor… rather sad!

  291. NYC SB says:

DC – the only blue member that contacted me is one whose membership expired by the time i had a chance to read his email 😉 but then he renewed

  292. DC *320283* says:

Viila- you look gorgeous. I wish I had your hair. You are not 34…seriously….you look mid to late 20s and I’m not just saying that!

Yes, I forgot that about non paying members, that they can’t read our e-mails. Has anyone been contacted by a “blue” member and they turned out to be a serious SD?

Sweety- it has to be age because you are gorgeous as well. I just don’t get it. I have a friend at this site in her 20s who is drop dead gorgeous as well and lately she gets maybe 1-2 e-mails a month. Are there just so few SDs to go around that they can afford to be so picky?

  293. VillaCypris says:

    oops…. disregard that number!

    thanks NYC SB!
    will send you mail!

Is it Karremans’ article in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology? If so, I think I’ve recently been the poster boy for that one.

For those who may not have seen it, it’s a study about mixed-sex social interactions. Conclusion: Interaction with attractive women causes men to experience a temporary but significant decline in cognitive performance.

    That is the one! :)

  299. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

VC~ you are hot, I sent mail!!!

  300. NYC SB says:

VC~ did you see my new profile? 395953

  306. VillaCypris says:

    Good morning, DC –

I have emailed a few, but that was before someone pointed out that they are unable to read emails as a “blue”.

My thought is that they just signed up to “look around” and see what this is all about, before deciding to commit to pay.

  307. RealisticSD says:

Sweety SB, I put as my criteria age 18-35, select my city (which is a large city), non-smoker, single/divorced/widowed, select races I prefer, and then sort by newest profile. Then I look at the pictures. As a man, I am very visual, so the first picture is key. It should either be a pretty face or a nice body or both, but not a picture that shows so much skin that I wonder if the girl is an escort or stripper. The geographic search in SA sucks, because there are lots of town around here and I cannot just search within a 50 mile radius of where I live, and the whole state is way too large and would waste my time.

As for the earlier discussion on gifts on the first meet, I have always given a monetary one and no one has been offended, perhaps because I don’t make people feel obligated and don’t treat them in a way that would make them feel belittled.

As for me, I don’t like implants. I met an SB with implants, and that for me was a huge turn-off.

As for the Middle East, I would avoid cultural stereotyping, especially when you’re much more likely to be killed in LA or NY or Chicago than anywhere in the Middle East.

As for red, it has such a “sinful” connotation that it works perfect in the setting of sugar-dating.

Flo Rida, the L word is OK, as long as it is totally understood that it does not require more of my time than I can give and as long as it is understood that I won’t leave my family. We can’t help our emotions, so how can be forbid them?

“Interaction with attractive women causes men to experience a temporary but significant decline in cognitive performance”: totally agree, which is why I said earlier that attraction leads to infatuation which leads to irrationality.

As for an SB getting hits, nothing is more important to me than the first profile picture.

    Question for the SBs:

I remember a while back someone mentioned not to bother with the SDs that are not paying members (orange vs. blue membership). Then NYCsb made a good point about the fact that just because they are a paying member it does not guarantee they are serious about being a SD.

What has your experience been with SDs on this site who are not paying members?

  320. NC Gent says:

HI Gems — SDs that put down other SDs are just insecure and/or fakes. The SDs that I have interacted with from the blog are great guys. Unfortunately, competition sucks lol

  321. hello Everybody! I do not have much to say today

Sincere if you have any leprachauns with their pots of gold yeah drag them down here too!!! lol

  322. Margo says:

I don’t have much experience in that, but can say that the sugar life is exciting even before you find a Sugar Daddy. Getting attention from wealthy men, all that fine dining when you choose best restaurants in the town. You do feel valuable expensive woman and that changes the way guys treat you. I became more confident and love this lifestyle. And I am in my forties.

  323. NYC SB says:

Villa – no wonder why the red soled shoes are so popular with both men and women 😉

SF SD says: Just my $0.02.
Now SF… aren’t you supposed to be an SD… you should be giving more than just two cents… maybe next time say just my two black cards 😉

ATL – email me… I know why you are not getting as much attention

Sincere – did you just advocate that Boston lies about her age??? Imagine if she is out with an SD and she orders a drink and then gets carded… how embarrassing for her and for the SD…

Happy Lurker says: You pussy should definitely be called SUGAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

Umm… im blushing at this comment

Margo says: got an impression that SD may be more demanding, expecting her to be more giving all together and very enthusiastic instead of paying attention on her own pleasure.

In a lot of cases this is indeed how it works… but not always… it really depends on the SD and his preferences

EastCoastFilly says: I’ve not explored the older man thing until SA. WOW, what was I missing.

Hahaha yes… this comment makes me think about my hot gift daddy from this summer… he looked incredible and umm knew exactly what to do… I think he showed me what great sex really feels like … aww I miss him

NC – some people feel important when they get to “preach” to others and pass moral judgement… clearly SA should be the last place where this is happening

OC – i hope your date was lovely!

HIYA SUGARS! Im back at work for another 15 hour day 😀 YAY!

  324. NC Gent says:

Hi Lisa — it means your going to find a pit bull of an SD that thinks a good date is going to do laundry — he will probably end up being a poof daddy anyways, so don’t sweat it!

  325. Gemini29 says:

Ok I have a question/rant. What is it with pot SDs putting down all the rest of the other SDs on this site as a “bunch of creeps”. I’ve had…so many messages along this line. But obviously…this site is not ALL full of creeps. This blog is proof of that. And I’ve met some nice pot SDs on this site…I’m in talks with a few who seem like decent guys. Frankly…I’m a bit put off if a pot SD is trying to reel me in and has to put down all the other SDs on this site in his attempt. To me its just a bad and lazy attitude. A pot should be spouting his good points, not putting down others in order to make himself look better. Just. argh.

  326. photogirl says:

Gemini – but sex and sugar in the morning is yummy :)

TLG – Did you sneak a pair of panties while you were snooping in OC’s room?

  327. lisa says:

    Good morning

Ok someone please deciper this dream I had last night:

Had a very attractive sd come to my apartment. He was carrying a large medicine cabinet (open, no door on it) stocked with the usual stuff. He said he needed to do his laundry first. We walked down the street to the laundrette (in a direction where there is none in real life) and couldn’t walk down the sidewalk after encountering tons of pit bull poop everywhere. I woke up after that. Really weird.

Off the shower for me now

  328. photogirl says:

SG2 – I realize that question was very broad and would be an answer of personal preferences on the part of a SD. I appreciate your feedback. As an older SB in my late 30’s I am fully aware that I am not going to be in the pool of choice for many. “Good luck, you’re going to need it” was uncalled for. And yes, I agree attitude is a deal breaker for SB’s and SD’s alike. I have been fortunate so far with SD’s that prefer older women in my age range and am blessed with good genes as I have been told I look about 10-12 yrs younger than I actually am.

I truly appreciate the participation of the SD’s on the blog.

  329. Gemini29 says:

Morning sugars! *rubs sand out of eyes* Hrmmm…sex and sugar in the morning. I don’t think I’m awake enough for that particular discussion. No matter what pair of panties TLG is wearing on his head.

And I think SouthernGent2 has a point…some women will probably never get a SD. But on the flip side, some SDs will never get a SB. There has to be a dose of realism here…sometimes it may not work out…but that putting your best foot forward (positive profile, good pictures, positive attitude) is a step in the right direction of trying to attract a SD/SM or SB.

  330. NC Gent says:

I agree a lot with what SG2 has said. However, I look for SBs in their late 20s to late 30s.

Also, yesterday VC posted qualities of the perfect SB… one thing that is super important to me — the SB has a job or source of income other than the SD… it just puts a lot of pressure on the SD under those circumstances.

  331. SouthernGent2 says:

Photogirl – I know my comments may have been a bit harsh. And maybe my comments are personal bias in qualities I look for. If a girl is seeking to be with someone that is upper crust as many true sd’s are, then she needs to be prepared to handle that role. I don’t think most are. It takes an investment in oneself to give yourself a real chance. Hair, nails, wardrobe, makeup are important. Does a true sd want to be with someone that presents a poor image in appearance? I know I could not spend time with someone unless she presents herself very well, or in other words shows that she knows how to handle being part of the circles that are in my lifestyle.

Age and attitude are dealbreakers I hate to say. I received a message from someone the other day that was older than I would choose to be with. I tried to be polite and reply that I was seeking someone in her 20’s. I get a reply back stating that girls in their 20’s don’t have experience, that they are self-centered, etc. Then she goes on to say “good luck, you are going to need it”. Now what kind of attitude is that?

The girls that have the biggest advantage on this site are ages 22-29, single, that know how to handle situations, how to act at fine dining establishments, how to dress for certain occasions (they probably have some money to get themselves properly equiped to meet potentials). Also, this group probably has some other source of income other than a sd.

I would say the next group in line would be the age 18-22 “responsible college girl”. Many of us have a soft spot for helping a girl get through college, especially if she is focused, goal driven, etc.

After these two groups, I think the likelihood of finding sd success drops considerably. You then fall into the ones that have bill issues, have personal problems, have had children due to a personal mistake, etc. These often are the ones that have a poorer image, and thus not attractive to the serious sd. These can be all ages.

I realize my reply is a bit disjointed due to distractions around my work right now. And maybe I am just being a master of the obvious. But the bottom line is that there are some on SA that are not going to have success no matter what efforts they put into it because they are restricted by age, attitude, personal life issues, etc.

  332. NC Gent says:

Good morning all! I loved SincereSD’s comment regarding your preferences on married men, especially if you aren’t interested in married men. Two times in the last week I have been the recipient “holier-than-thou” tongue lashings from potential SBs regarding their feelings about married men on the site. I just hit delete, but I always want to respond – Why don’t you just put NO MARRIED MEN PLEASE in your profile. It will save both of us some time. Also, it seems a little bit hypocritical for the SB to making moral judgments about people on this site. I think “normal society” has moral issues with people on both sides of this sugar table, and both should reserve pious judgments. Something like he/she who is without guilt cast the first stone…. ok thanks for letting me vent, but is it too much to ask! Maybe I am missing something.

    Switching to decaf now lol

  333. photogirl says:

EastCoastFilly – I have to agree about those older gents 😉

  334. photogirl says:

Sincere – Set the GPS to someplace warm yet not HUMID! And do you mind picking me up a Caramel Macchiato on your way :)

  335. EastCoastFilly says:

Margo: I have found the sex with an SD to be different in both ways. I do try harder to please him. For instance if we are going on a date and I am just not really in the mood or had a long day, etc, I make myself get in the mood, lol. If I were with a regular BF you know you can say honey, not tonight maybe tomorrow. With an SD there may not be a tomorrow so you have to always be on.

On the flip side since I’ve almost always dated younger guys in real life (I look way younger than I am) I’ve not explored the older man thing until SA. WOW, what was I missing. Comparing the 2, the guys I’ve dated IRL either didn’t know what they were really doing or were quite selfish. They looked good but thats about it. Maybe I’ve just been lucky on here but the guys I’ve had/have as SDs have been so outrageously generous in the bedroom, its almost like I have to force them to let me do things to them. I am never going out with a younger kid again, LOL!

  336. SincereSD says:

opps … good morning Margo, TLC, HL and SG2.

  338. SincereSD says:

  339. The Lone Gunman says:

Good Morning! It’s Titanic Tuesday in Sugar World!

A random walk through the blog follows.

    AtlNicole: Mr. Bigglesworth, of course.

Sweety SB~ AKA BG: Maybe. You don’t know just what I may be wearing as a stocking cap, eh?

LostSB: Be yourself without fear or trepidation; the fact is that not everyone’s switch trips for the same reasons–and you are someone’s overload. You just haven’t met yet.

    GoodTimesOnly09: Same advice as LostSB.

Now everyone go out there and sweeten your life!

  340. Margo says:

Thank you ladies answered my question about sex with SD,
I got an impression that SD may be more demanding, expecting her to be more giving all together and very enthusiastic instead of paying attention on her own pleasure.
    What would you say?

  341. SincereSD says:

Margo says: Is sex with SD different from sex with a boyfriend?
Don’t know because I’ve never had a boyfriend :p … but imho, sex with a SB is usually much better from a physical perspective … probably bc you try harder in a sugar relationship. Remember these relationship are a little surreal and everything tends to be better than in conventional ones. The only thing I miss is the connection of love … but I don’t want to go there. Btw, I’ve also found my SB to be more open minded.

Flo Rida says: Sex is the same BUT I would think SD’s are generally older so think of what that might mean. My SD is 14 years older than me and ordinarily I would not date that age range BUT he’s actually wonderful & I don’t want to use the L word but I do think about it. I daresay most SBs and SDs don’t want to x that line.
I’ve had 2 SB cross the line, as well as, falling for one myself. It’s not a comfortable position as it starts to cross into the gray area of a convention relationship. I think that Sb end up falling in love with the treatment and mistake that for love.

OCSugarbaby says: Ok — Red or black top? Quick! I can’t make up my mind…

SouthernGent2 – In your opinion/experience, what is it that is keeping them from being chosen?

  343. SouthernGent2 says:

Peisinoe – you make some good points. Unfortunately for some on the site, they are simply not going to be able to meet anyone. They can have a great profile. They can put forth a lot of effort into messages to potentials. They can try and try and try. But the bottom line is that only certain girls are truly cut out to be chosen.

  344. photogirl says:

AltNicole – Those two names bring a certain movie to mind. I’ve always liked both of those names :)

BostonSugahBabe says: Could you take a look at my profile. I just got an upgrade to premium but I haven’t gotten any feedback..I think it’s time for a re-vamping. #365985

    Couple of quick comments:

    – Shorten your profile
    – Think about raising your age to 21 (helps with wining and dining as well as concerns about maturity)
    – If you are open to an attached or married SD, put that in your profile (if you have your own place, say so)
    – Remove “spoiled like I should be” and reword to something like “spoil me and I’ll spoil you in return”

  347. Peisinoe says:

Or women you desire, for those babies out there seeking Mommies. :)

  348. Peisinoe says:

I notice a lot of women asking for advice because, despite the fact that they have taken the time to create quality profiles, they are getting very little attention. For those ladies that are having this problem: Are you referring to not getting responses to messages you send out, or are not getting any initial contact? The root of these problems is very different, and I know that the first has been addressed often and in depth. Some of you might be overlooking the second.

The ratio of SB’s to SD’s on this site is said to be something like 10 to 1, there is a lot of competition for the true high-quality gentlemen even taking into account the fake and ‘professional’ SB profiles. Also, many of the types of men we SB’s are looking for lead very busy lives and have less time to sort through all the profiles. Frankly, many times they don’t have to do a lot of searching because there are many ladies out there aggressively seeking them. Maybe not their perfect match, but if they get enough nice girls contacting them that are decent matches, they are more likely to see if those work out first. Yes, it is possible that your perfect match will run across your profile, become captivated, message you, and fun and games and joy will ensue. However, finding your perfect match (or indeed any match) is much much much more likely to happen if you do the footwork. It is time consuming but nothing in life worth having comes easy….. or something like that. My brain shut down for the night long ago, sorry that this was a big ramble!

To summarize: We as SB’s are much more likely to have success if we put in the effort rather than sitting back and hoping to be found. Not getting profile hits and messages does not necessarily mean something is wrong, it means you need to make yourself visible to the men you desire!

  349. SugaCaneBby says:

AtlNicole – I named my cat Sith. He’s all black with yellow-green eyes. I had a hard time naming him as well when I got him, but it just sort of clicked in my mind after a couple of days of having him.

…In other news, I received my invite to google voice earlier! 😀 Just got done making some yummy spaghetti (it’s super late, I know). My eyes are burning right now from the onions. A rather delayed reaction. But I’m stoked about getting the ball rolling on my search seriously!

As for the SBs that feel discouraged about their looks and not being able to “measure up”, you have no one’s standards to meet what your own. The sugar search doesn’t go by the motto “If they’re not buying what you’re selling, then sell what they buy” (I would hope not!). Be true to yourself. What do you find to be your best attribute? Amp it up and show it off. I get told I should model a lot but I’m reeeeeaaaaallllly not photogenic at all. But I know I have brains and that’s what I want to shine through, my intelligence. And as has been mentioned before, confidence is an awesome attribute. Be sure of yourself and your goals and you’ll attract your match with ease.

    Helllllooo Sugarland!!!

It been a while since I last posted a blog but I have been reading up.

    Margo says:
Is sex with SD different from sex with a boyfriend?

IMO if the sex is different, meaning you don’t have the same feelings as having sex wiih a BF, or worse case, you don’t feel it at all, maybe you shouldn’t being having sex with that person at all. I think if you feel like you shouldn’t be doing something, chances are you shouldn’t.

SincereSD and Summer-Great posts–esp. from Sincere (and I am in no way taking away from your post Summer). I just think it’s great to have the SD’s in on the discussions. We could all (and have) learn a lot from each other.

OC-Could you take a look at my profile. I just got an upgrade to premium but I haven’t gotten any feedback..I think it’s time for a re-vamping. #365985

AtlNicole-That is precious! For some odd reason I named my kitty “Pickle”. I know…weird, esp. since I hate pickles. So maybe my names would be a bit outlandish for your taste. Nevertheless here they are: Pop, Cottonball, Chancellor, Commander Puss, Captain Paws, Mew-Mew, Mittens (a classic), Snookums…Hmm can’t really come up with any more as off the moment but hope is helps. I hate giving a pet a name that not well thought out, something like Snowball or Paul is too mediocre.

Question!! What are your takes on a newbie SD and a newbie SB getting together? A second pot has contacted me and he seem like the real deal…just wondering.

I am upset about the Packers loss, though I knew it was coming. Gosh, Brett Farve leaves a bad taste in my mouth (No offense Villa, because I am super fond of Adrian Peterson…Oh well the Patriots won so I am happy. My Brady is getting back to normal..watch out now. Next Sunday, Denver!

Well I guess I will go to bed…Night Sugahs!

No sugar news for me. I am chatting with a very nice gentleman from NYC. He was very easy to talk to. He says he is visiting at the end of the month. I just don’t have time for much of a LDR though. The search is still on for an Atlanta based SD. I don’t have the time or money to invest in trying to find one on my own IRL. The bar I work at now caters to college students.

I am not getting much attention on this site, and I have not figured out why. There must be something about my profile that is turning away pots. I know I am attractive and intelligent. There are a lot of beautiful women in Atlanta, but come on…

Measure up to whom? Lost, if you’ve spent that much time looking around, you surely know that the women of the SA blog comprise a wide range of ages, body types, ethnic backgrounds, nationalities, and social circumstances. I cannot think of a more attractive group.

What counts is finding an SD who appreciates the qualities and aspirations that make you who you are. It’s not a walk in the park, but you’ll have a better shot by building on the attractive qualities you know you have, and perhaps a few you have yet to discover.

I must go to sleep. Good night SF SD, Flo Rida and AtlNicole – sweet dreams!!! xx

  363. VillaCypris says:

Hi AtlNicole! aww cute! hmmm for a name…. *thinking*…..

  364. VillaCypris says:

Hi Flo Rida! Missed you coming back home. Hope you had a fantastic night out on the town! :)

SF SD – that is a related article… what men do/say/think (or fail to do/say/think) in the presence of a beautiful woman. It seems to render their brains to jello. I will have to find that article as well. Highly interesting!

  365. AtlNicole*389079* says:

Hello all of my wonderful Sugar-Friends! I had a long weekend away from home, so i am still catching up on what I missed. I still have one more day of blog to read, and it is a long one.

I wanted to share my real life news:
Today I rescued a tiny kitten from a neglectful home. It was perfect timing since my neice really wanted my adult cat Max to stay with her (she is on bed rest). The kitten is solid white with baby blue eyes and a male. I have spent the last day trying to come up with a name and nothing is sticking. I really need some ideas. I can’t keep calling him kitten forever.

  366. VillaCypris says:

    Hi SF SD –

thanks. Sorry you dealt with something similar… not sure why or if he would want to “take me down a peg”, unless he truly was a complete asshole.

Maybe, as DC pointed out, he is one of those men who are only attracted to women with huge fake boobs…. but then he should’ve just said, You’re an attractive woman but I don’t think we would be a good match.

I agree, self-confidence is paramount, without crossing the line into conceit or arrogance. His comment isn’t a continuous thorn in my side – quite the contrary. I’m happy with my body, it allows me to do some really amazing things, like bike 122 miles or hike up 3000 feet in less than an hour. What “size” any of the particular “parts” may have is irrelevant to me.

I did have to chuckle at the response of one of my best friends in LA, who said, “that guy is a total douchebag”. HAHAHAHAH! RIGHT!

  367. Flo Rida says:

LostSB – yes there are beautiful women here BUT you have to have a positive attitude – let your personality shine through – there’s always one SD who wants personality overarm candy. Cheer up.

  368. SF SD says:

“The women shown framed by or wearing red were rated significantly more attractive and sexually desirable by men than the exact same women shown with other colours…”

What do you think, SDs of the blog????

So perhaps there is some truth to the mythology of the lady in red. But it may not be entirely fair to ask us what we think,, since this phenomenon is thinkly not about clearing, er, ah…

  369. Flo Rida says:

VillaC – Hey babe I just got back – he might have been doing a bad boy disconnector – my SD & I were discussing it – apparently some guy did something called the Pick Up Artist & you go around making women feel bad like saying ‘you think you’re too good for me don’t you’ or ‘you look awkward’. OR he could be just a complete jerk and good riddance to him. As Eleanor Roosevelt said ‘The only person who can demean you is you yourself’ or something like that.

Margo – Sex is the same BUT I would think SD’s are generally older so think of what that might mean. My SD is 14 years older than me and ordinarily I would not date that age range BUT he’s actually wonderful & I don’t want to use the L word but I do think about it. I daresay most SBs and SDs don’t want to x that line.

    Ciao peeps.

  370. SF SD says:

    > Villa – “I was rather taken aback by that guy’s suggestion that I need to get implants in order to “compete” …. “

Villa, I quite understand. I was in a chat forum (not here) when a guy accused me of being a false SD, challenged me to name who my SB was, and suggested that I was too, um, geriatric to be on the site. I blocked him rather than arguing. What he was saying was clearly ridiculous, but the comment bothered me for days.

I suppose the guy might have been trying to take you down a peg, but it could just as easily have been a random comment, chosen from library of insults about body parts.

For the ladies here who wonder why they get messages that say things like, “Do you do this?” or “Are you that?” – there is no reason. Or no reason that has anything to do with you. These j*ck*ffs send out dozens of messages like this just to see what will happen. In one case out of twenty someone will reply, and that will be good for a bit of amusement. So, don’t grant them that. Maintain your confidence. It’s one of your sexiest assets.

  371. LostSB says:

Yes I did go through all the blogs, they were very interesting and educational. I am just looking at all these profiles of these amazingly great looking girls and I am getting the feeling that I do not quite measure up is all.

  372. SF SD says:

    > Lannie – “I will take that as a compliment as I do put my self out there in my post and show my heart and soul….”

It was indeed a compliment. Your sincerity and insight are a refreshing combination. Go well.

  373. VillaCypris says:

What do you think, SDs of the blog????

Hello LostSB – for what sorts of advice are you looking? Have you gone back and read thru the older blogs? There is a lot of good advice and perspectives to be found.

If you have specific questions, feel free to ask them here and people will be happy to share with you their opinions and experiences.

  374. VillaCypris says:

Gemi – you are so RIGHT about wearing RED! I remembered reading an article about this earlier in the year, so I found it. Quite interesting!

    Paul Taylor

From Friday’s Globe and Mail Last updated on Tuesday, Mar. 31, 2009 09:07PM EDT

Women interested in attracting a man would be well advised to wear red – and the more red the better.

A series of studies by researchers at the University of Rochester has revealed that men are far more attracted to women in red clothing or surrounded by red accessories than females who sport other colours. What’s more, men seem to be especially generous to the lady in red – and are more willing to open up their wallets to wine and dine her.

To measure the amorous effects of red, the researchers gauged men’s responses to pictures of women under different colour conditions.

In one experiment, the pictures were framed by a border that was either red, white, grey or green. In other tests, the researchers digitally altered the photo so that the same woman was wearing either a red or a blue shirt.

“The women shown framed by or wearing red were rated significantly more attractive and sexually desirable by men than the exact same women shown with other colours,” the researchers concluded in their study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

Psychology professor Andrew Elliot, who led the research, noted that throughout history many cultures have linked sex with the colour red, ranging from ancient peoples who used ochre body paints on fertile females to modern-day “red-light” districts.

But Dr. Elliot speculated that men’s response to red may also have deep biological roots that go beyond a learned cultural response.

The sexual parts of female baboons and chimpanzees take on a conspicuously red hue when they are reaching ovulation. In similar fashion, many human females will become flush-faced when they are interested in a male, Dr. Elliot said.

“It may well be that males have this deep-seated sense of red indicating sexual availability,” he speculated. “I think females can use that to their advantage – and to wear it or not, depending on their desires.”

Still, it could take more than a red dress to win over a reluctant male. Red did not change the way men rated the women in terms of likeability, intelligence or kindness – just their physical attractiveness.

  375. LostSB says:

Help? any friendly advice for a brand new sb?

  376. VillaCypris says:

Looks like I missed everyone! :(

VIKINGS won!!!!! 😀 was a fantastic game.

I was rather taken aback by that guy’s suggestion that I need to get implants in order to “compete” …. but then again, he claimed to be the “richest hottest man on the site” and was bragging about the fact that he is a REAL SD with not one, but TWO black cards. So, I can’t say I was completely surprised.

TLG – yeah, kind of creepy eh? But that is what is so fascinating about the human mind, all the deviances of which it is capable… and why.

Regarding the Middle East…. as NYC SB mentioned, understanding the culture is paramount. I had a terrible experience in Morocco because I did not take the time to learn about the land and people into which I was travelling. Subsequently, I devoted much time and research into future destinations, and had wonderful trips to Tunisia, Egypt, Dubai, Oman and Jordan. I’d love to visit Lebanon. Beirut appears to be a fabulous city, and the food is amongst my favourites.

Hope everyone had a nice evening!

  377. Koi says:

    Goodnight Sweety~

  378. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

I wanted to say guys but… the “s” disappeared… lol

Good night ladies, gents, and all the lurkers!

  379. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

KOI ~ Hey girl, yeah almost the same question lol…. we need insight guy !

  380. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Liz~ If someone I know sees me here, and I do know some SDs on here personally, We didn’t talk about it. I so don’t care! lol because I know their secret too! 😀

  381. Liz says:

Sweety SB – LOL that’s a classic! If I ever get that compliment though over the site, I’m going to be confused because I purposefully put up pictures where my eyes aren’t very visible. This is just in case a friend of my father happens to be on here. That would make for an awkward situation, especially since I’m friendly (not that type lol, just for clarification purposes) with some of them.

  382. Koi says:

    Ha! Sweety!

We both had the same question at about the same time. =)

  383. Koi says:

    Hey SB ladies!

Do any of yall have premium memberships? What are the benefits of it? Do you think it’s worth upgrading?

    Oh, and SD’s out there…

What do you like to see in a SB profile?

  384. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Liz~ lol, that’s funny!!! I got one mail today that said i had beautiful eyes!

  385. Liz says:

Sweety SB – I sent it about twenty minutes ago, so no. I’m waiting patiently for a genuine, interesting message to come my way; something that consists of more than “hey sexy” and you’re hot.” Did a frat house take over lol?

  386. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

I have a question for the SDs for this blog
When you do a search, what do you do?
do you search by most recent log ins?
do you search by city? age?
    or by newest member?

When a SB looks at your profile, do you automatically go look at hers?
Do you like when a SB write to you?

  387. Margo says:

Is sex with SD different from sex with a boyfriend?

  388. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Liz~ that’s great, did he answer you?

  389. Liz says:

Sweety SB – I just put the question in the last message I sent. The guy had about three sentences in his profile and they were all vague. I tried though lol!

  390. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

TLG~ are you still looking at OC lingerie!!! lol

    Sincere SD~ ewwww

  391. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Liz~ no i have no clue what the convo was before, i was just surprised….
i’m trying to find where that convo was started…. do what you feel is right, i think it might be a good idea especially when they only have 1 line of profile….

  392. SincereSD says:

opps … posted this in the wrong blog. here it is again.

photogirl says: reunions with a romantic partner… yikes. I think I’d rather have the memories of the ‘lively’ sex.

hmmm … Otoh, this could be exactly like the memory of “lively” sex with married partner (without the “I have a headache” comment). Sorry … I know this is in bad taste but I couldn’t resist.

  393. Liz says:

Sweety SB – Should I not? I’m still learning how to navigate the sugar waters!

  394. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

    Island~ woo hoo!!!!

  395. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Liz~ you are going to ask then how their search is going???

  396. He seems to be, I asked him to be straightforward with me and he did it without being disrespectful. Great start. 😀

  397. Liz says:

Gemini and DC – I’m going to start asking them how their search is going! Thanks! I don’t know why I never thought to include that. It seems like a given almost lol.

  398. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Well I think my new profile is a hit in India and Nigeria! way way too far….

  399. Liz says:

Island Beauty – He worded his question very gracious! He sounds like a potential great SD!

  400. thank you fort the advice, absolutely love you guys. Good night.

  401. RealisticSD says:

    Good night everyone!

  402. The Lone Gunman says:

    VillaCypris says:

back when I was interested in forensic psychiatry, and taking classes in abnormal psychology, there was a study regarding the reasons why people have sex with corpses….

…and the word EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww was heard throughout the land…

    OCSugarbaby says:

Thanks guys, it is like having all of you here looking in my closet!

Thanks for letting us all look in your closet!

Now, I’m just going to amble nonchalantly over here to rifle through your delicate things drawer over here….

  404. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

NYC SB~ have a good night girl!

  405. Flo Rida says:

Island Beauty – there is no magic number or formula – it’s what you feel comfortable with and also what you need to help with expenses and debt and also how much “effort” (trips, travel) you put into the arrangement. If you’re comfortable with $2k then go for it – free country. Having said that if I were you I’d quote a range and make it $2-3k. Also it might not be a good idea to post your profile # AND ask this q – he might read the blog ask NICELY one of the ladies and they can help you through private email.

NYC SB – sweet dreams to the sweet hearted – awwwwww

OC SugarBaby – Party like a rock star.

  406. NYC SB says:

OC – have a lovely time… i would have voted for red as well… cuz it matches the soles of my shoes 😉

i just got home from work dear sugar fam… im off to bed

  407. Gemini29 says:

Island Beauty – Well… what are your allowance requirements? Do you have a range in your head? I try not to let the “meetings per month” determine the allowance, I have my range and I stick with it.

Liz – I know! The guys who have such a short amount of information in their profile…so hard to work with! I sometimes try a bit on who I am, and then ask them what they are looking for. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m still trying to figure out what works as far as a first message goes… that one girl on the 20/20 special who laid it all out in the first email…that is a bit much for me and not my style.

  408. May I ask you, and please pardon my directness, the extent of the “sugar” you seek? I couldn’t see you more than twice a month due to my schedule and life commitments, and with my last SB I gave her a monthly allowance and occasional gifts when I felt I wanted to. The question is, what allowance might you have in mind? I don’t want to waste your time if we’re not thinking along the same lines.

    His exact words

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Oh Gemi! You are right. RED it is! Thanks guys, it is like having all of you here looking in my closet! Later! 😉

  409. he’s a lawyer, who’s married, no hints he just asked he mentioned allowance and gifts when he feels it.

  410. DC *320283* says:

Liz- that is a dilemma…how to personalize it when there is nothing to go on. Well as we discussed…men are visual and I think if you write something thoughtful, even if it is generic and short, and they like your profile/picture, they will write back.

If there is nothing to go on I will usually ask them how their search is going.

  411. Liz says:

Island Beauty – Well, what is the allowance you have in mind? Has he already given you hints on a budget range?

  412. Gemini29 says:

Psh, Red. Red gets them EVERY time. There was even a study on it! 😉

I say this despite the fact that I have no less than 7 different black cocktail dresses and seem intent on buying more.

  413. Liz says:

I just sent out a few messages to a couple SD’s on the site! I made them fairly personal and tried to incorporate their profile into it. How do you write a message to a SD though? I definitely am staying away from the generic messages, but there’s only so much personalization you can do with a guy who has a grand total of five lines in his profile.

  414. Good night everyone, i need some help asap. I’m chatting with a pot SD who wants to meet 2x a month. He wants to know what allowance i have in mind. Please help first actual pot. HELP!!!

  415. DC *320283* says:

Black with lots of jewelry (preferably gold) OC.

  416. DC *320283* says:

    Is this the latest trend?

An SD writes to you and puts “You” in the subject line. That’s it! I think I have gotten about 10 e-mails over the last few months from men who put that in the subject line. Kinda funny.

  417. lisa says:

oh look we answered OC’s question before she even asked

  418. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Lisa ` that happens a lot!!! it’s a little scary lol

    Oc~ I agree black!!!

  419. photogirl says:

    Black OC :)

  420. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

Don’t think I suggested you trade your nationality. I share it with you and equally proud. Again, that is not the Middle East. This is clearly futile.

  421. Taz says:

Lisa – that sounds very scary and I am sure it was a nightmare to go through. Thank you for sharing your experience :)

I didn’t mean to start any bitterness between anyone. To be honest I am not well traveled – I am very comfortable traveling within North America, whereas I am much more apprehensive traveling by myself that far away – whether he said Lebanon specifically or not.

Thank you for your sound advice Vixen :)

  422. lisa says:

Yes I would warn people about my neighborhood, nothing wrong with being cautious. I just prefer not to be beat for laughing in public or put in prison if I am raped. These are facts based on what people I have known that have traveled to the middle east many times.
I was warned before I married my husband but I didn’t listen and it caused me heartache for many years.

I wouldn’t trade being an American for anything in the world, sorry

  423. NYC SB says:

2 cents on travel – know the customs of the culture you are visiting and then respect them… thats all …

  424. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

Lisa – It is insulting and as woman of that culture it is my duty to correct your statement which is flawed to no end. I suppose I should warn people about going to Texas based on you prior descriptions of your neighborhood? Please refrain from disseminating false info.

  425. lisa says:

DC I sent you an email

  426. Vixen says:

Taz-Like any place one travels to, do your research and know what topics to avoid speaking about in public

  427. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Thank Photogirl, you have mail back
DC~ how are ya girl? I know what you mean by being rejected!!!!

    VC~ have a good game!

  428. lisa says:

He was controlled by a dangerous religion

  429. DC *320283* says:

Villa- I can’t believe he said that about the implants and competing. Jeez! That makes me so angry. You were too nice in return. I wonder if that creep has a daughter and would like her to be judged on the size of her boobs.

I have heard from other SBs that guys will say nasty things to them, unprovoked. It must be the wounded animal syndrome again. They have been hurt by others rejecting them and want to reject someone before they themselves are rejected.

I say in my profile if you like Pamela Anderson, you probably won’t like me. That weeds out the a-holes.

  430. lisa says:

Sorry but I’m just warning women considering traveling to the middle east. And please note that just because someone makes a statement doesn’t mean it is an insult. Please get over yourself.

  431. Vixen says:

CrèmeBruléeNY-So glad you handled that one. I wasn’t even sure where to begin.

  432. photogirl says:

Sweety – You have mail :)

  433. Taz says:

VillaCyrpus that is horrible – what a jerk!

Thank you ladies – I was very apprehensive when he asked…as I thought he was from U.K to begin with…he did say if Lebanon was not good that he would consider other countries to travel to. I will have to ponder it a bit more to be fair. I do not know him well enough to say I would consider meeting him at all.

  434. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

Have you considered that perhaps he was just a disturbed individual and it had nothing to do with his heritage? Anyhow..

  435. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

Here’s another problem.. Pakistan, Afghanistan and Saudi are not the “Middle East.” This isn’t a history/geo forum, I know. I am merely pointing out that to make such a strong statement discouraging travel to countries with cities more liberal than most of this country (particularly Lebanon/Egypt) is not acceptable, and frankly insulting.

  436. lisa says:

Hazro Pakistan District Attock or something like that

He once locked me in the closet all night because I got mad at him for not calling me to me he would be 3 hours late coming home from work.

  437. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

Lisa – Where is your husband from? That is absurd and is by no means, again, an accurate representation. You’re talking about well over 20 countries here (depending geo-political definitions).

  438. lisa says:

CrèmeBruléeNY I would still advise any woman not to travel there alone. Things that American women do everyday (wearing revealing clothes aka pants or a skirt), could get them executed over there. I would never travel there. My husband’s sisters weren’t even allowed to talk on the phone when he called the family. They sent audio tapes of them talking instead.

  439. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

CrèmeBruléeNY~ I was not saying it was not a worthy place to travel…

  440. Gemini29 says:

Villa- You should have told him that you would get implants when he got a brain transplant, because no woman should have to tolerate his rudeness. What a loser!

Flo Rida- My weekend was good! A strange combination of party-party and relaxation, but very very good. I slept all day today though to try and “catch up”.

Oooh 10 minutes to Gossip Girl!

  441. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

Lisa – Middle East is a sizable chuck of Asia and Africa. To characterize an entire region based on isolated incidents is ridiculous. I was born/raised there and certainly there are the horror/war time stories but it remains an incredible part of the world with many worthy travel destinations—including Lebanon.

  442. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

OC does have good skills in the profile department!!!

  443. Sincere I am also in florida !! I will be listening to the Sky as you make your way across the state!!on your uni!! lol

    • OCSugarbaby says:

SincereSD: You know I was kidding about wanting to meddle in your SB search. I think that should be done by you and you alone! Otherwise that would make me ahh well ahem “your p-i-m-p” So not interested in butting my nose in someone elses Sugar! Besides, you are doing just fine on your own! Someone will snag you up!

      • OCSugarbaby says:

SincereSD: Howwwevvv-er I am available for profile consultations. My marketing skills are very useful in that area! Services are always FREE of charge.

  444. SincereSD says:

OCSugarbaby says: SincereSD: Ah hem… I think you will find in the small print on my contract for Triple Diamond – SB searches there is an exclusivity clause.
OC, you may have to split commissions with Sweetred; or maybe we can do a west and east coast search. 😀

DLlady says: Sincere shouldnt have to mount the unicorn and come waving the benjimans to evade Eviction!! OMG What in the World… if you cannot keep a Roof over your own head there is a problem!
Sometimes life deals you a bad hand and it takes time to recover. I’ve seen sob stories such as women leaving everything behind to escape from abusive spouses to having to pick up from medical or ex-husband’s debts. Yeah, unicorns are tough to ride and sometimes they don’t always believe the stories.

Flo Rida says: SouthernGent2 – RealisticSD – I would hate to be described as arm candy or a drama queen (though I probably am a tiny bit of both), sounds like the rental version of a trophy wife.
Flo Rida, I believe you were referring to my post? Arm candy is not necessarily a derogatory term; I was referring to a good looking women who would not normally be with an older man like the SD. You don’t sound like a drama queen though.

Flo Rida says: Margo – I agree – I absolutely deserve spoiling AND I work really hard to look this good (I don’t eat dessert anymore, I work out all the time, I pay so much time paying attention to fashion and business and current events) and to pay attention to my SD – I think many many SBs deserve spoiling. PS i’m totally serious and not kidding. Having said that I also appreciate the spoiling tremendously.
For the record, I have no problems with spoiling and I like to treat my SB like a princess … and of course I have an ulterior motive as I love it when she shows her appreciation. My point was one of entitlement … demanding to be spoiled and being unappreciative.

sweetredhead says: Wow SincereSD, you sound a little “jaded” yourself lol
Do you really think so? :$

VillaCypris *276489* says: I think we are missing another category of SB – a POSITIVE one – and one into which many of the ladies on the blog reside:
VC, you are perfectly right. SB should take lessons from the women on this blog.

VillaCypris says: especially after last night, I got a message from someone, after he viewed my photos, which said, “cute, but when is your appointment for implants… cmon hun… this is 2010… you have to compete to be on this site”.
Positive comments aside, you should have told this a##[email protected]$ that he should take his own advise and get penile implants.

  445. lisa says:

Exactly Sweety that was a worry of mine all through my daughter’s childhood. Luckily her dad had no interest in her but I lived in fear that sometime he would exercise his “rights’ to take her to the middle east during the month he could have had her. I know alot about middle eastern men and the culture. A friend of mine was beat in public with a cane by a strange man in Saudi simply because she laughed in public.

  446. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Taz~ Lisa is right about that! women do not have any rights in the middle east, remember the book, not without my daughter?

  447. lisa says:

I wouldn’t recommend any woman take a trip to the middle east. You could end up kidnapped and force married. American or Canadian laws won’t protect you in alot of foriegn lands.

  448. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

SincereSD~ are you from Canada too??? And most of the SBs from last year, i’m happy to say, are all settled in arrangements!

  449. Taz says:

How would you sb’s feel about taking a trip to Lebanon, or someplace else overseas? I am kind of apprehensive of Lebanon as there is a lot of controversy in that part of the world…

Liz – understandable as I have gotten the escort messages as well :(

  450. SincereSD says:

Taz says: How exactly do you explain to new sd’s how things work? It seems all the sd’s around THIS area (ontario, canada)
Sweety SB~ AKA BG says: Maple~ are you Canadian? if so, I am too!
Maple Sugar says: Yep, sweety SB, I’m Canadian. Let me guess, my name gave it away? 😉
Taz says: I am from Ontario as well…a few hours from Toronto..closer to Detroit

Welcome fellow canucks … what is it with all the Canadians on this blog, eh? I remember there were a bunch of us here late last year but I hadn’t seen them here on the blog. Kitty, Girlie, CSB, Scarlett, Silly, Stig430 … where are you?

Fall is definitely here … time to get ready for hibernation or fly south for the winter to visit Sweetred, AltNicole, OC, PG, Flo Rida and all our friends down south.

SouthernGent2 says: SincereSD – that was a great post about the types of sb’s that are out there. Sounds like you have had experiences similar to mine. I tend to gravitate toward the invesigators and arm candy types.

RealisticSD says: SincereSD, you’re right on with your classification. I have dated investigators, arm candy, “I deserve to be spoiled”, drama queens, and the jaded, but not yet the diamond in the rough. I am kind of bummed out because I had to break up with three SBs in the last nine days.

SF SD says: This one belongs in the Hall of Fame, alongside Suthrn’s “How to spot a fake SD.”

NC Gent says: I loved the post on the types of SBs — maybe we missed a category though that I have encountered — The Narcissist but maybe that is the same category as “I am pretty and deserve to be spoiled!”

Thanks bros …with all the female feedback on the blog about the trials and tribulations of sugar dating, I thought it was important to share a male perspective on the blog. We men run into our fair share of “poof” and fake SB as well.

While these categories are gross oversimplifications, I hope through the education process here on the blog, we turn everyone’s sugar experience to pleasant ones … and to the gentlemen SD, may you find a perfect match with your GEM SB!!!

  452. SugaCaneBby says:

NYC: Lol. You must have a made a deep impression with him. He’s still a creep though.

  453. NYC SB says:

ay drama – just got an email from my pot from last weekend – the one who claimed to be single and turned out to be married – “I cant stop thinking about you! I am working on some things on my end. I am unhappy in my marriage, today I hired a divorce attorney. Once this is done lets elope in Vegas and move to Bora Bora.”

ummmmmmm yikes! this is after spending a day with me… i really hope he is full of sh*t

  454. VillaCypris says:

Alright – 70 minutes til kick off! Go Vikings!!! 😀 (sorry OC!xox)

see you all later…. have a wonderful evening!

  455. NYC SB says:

chiming in for a sec before my dinner break

I kept on receiving an email over and over again from a guy along the lines of “HI BABY IM ITALIAN, FAT, BAD BOY. CAN I SPOIL YOU PLEASE”
read his profile and it was pretty much blank… took a look at his prof number and it started with a 1 (meaning he has been on the site for a while). I wrote back that he is more likely to receive responses if he put a bit more effort in his emails to women. He writes back “its hard to for me to type” so I drafted a blanket email he could send out to SBs… two weeks later he found one and gave me a nice gift card for my efforts

  456. VillaCypris says:

SugarCane – good for you! Can’t wait to see it!

photogirl – I wasn’t trying to imply you feel it’s your place, I know you better than that! :) Yeah, I thought it was uncalled for as well. But better to know someone is shallow and rude from the outset than to find out after you’ve invested time and energy!

  457. photogirl says:

Villa – No, I do not feel it is my place either, I should have added that. I was just genuinely curious and if I ever thought it was my place I would have never gone about it the way Mr Implants did. That was completely uncalled for.

    Nothing wrong with natural :)
(atleast that is what I keep telling myself lol)

  458. SugaCaneBby says:

Got my package. :) My profile should be up and running again by Friday. I’m excited. 😀

  459. photogirl says:

Villa – reunions with a romantic partner… yikes. I think I’d rather have the memories of the ‘lively’ sex.

  460. VillaCypris says:

photogirl – no, I have not given anyone “constructive criticism”…. I don’t feel it’s my place, or necessary.

especially after last night, I got a message from someone, after he viewed my photos, which said, “cute, but when is your appointment for implants… cmon hun… this is 2010… you have to compete to be on this site”.

I replied, “I do not wish to “compete” in that manner. Good luck in your search”.

  461. VillaCypris says:

photogirl – hahahahaha!! nice way to put it!

    lisa – that’s a Class A misdemeanor in Texas….

back when I was interested in forensic psychiatry, and taking classes in abnormal psychology, there was a study regarding the reasons why people have sex with corpses….

“these individuals reported the desire to possess an unresisting and unrejecting partner (68%), reunions with a romantic partner (21%), sexual attraction to corpses (15%), comfort or overcoming feelings of isolation (15%), or seeking self-esteem by expressing power over a homicide victim (12%).”

not to digress from the sugar world…. but since you brought it up 😛

  462. photogirl says:

Completely off topic but there was talk of men being visual creatures.
Women are as well and I am a sucker for a great smile, one of the first things I notice. My lips may be there at one point after all…

I have been contacted twice by a seemingly nice gentleman that by his profile is doing very well for himself and offering a very generous allowance. He did not have a photo up so I honestly did not even recognize the name when he contacted me the second time…until I received the photos again.

I kept my lips shut and sent a polite thanks but no thanks. But I am curious if any of you have ever given anyone some constructive advice on something they should take care of? Unfortunately it was a complete turn off for me.

  463. photogirl says:

Lisa – Thanks for the imagery of the funeral home worker *rockin’* the coffin.

  464. Lisa Marie says:

Flo….I am only 25…and my picture is a head shot. So there is nothing in there to reach out to BDSM on my profile. LOL

  465. Liz says:

Taz – Most of the messages sound tailored for escorts lol! They all talk about flying me in, checking me into a 4-5 star hotel, giving me an allowance for my trip, and etc. I’m waiting for a guy to mention something in my profile in the message he sends. It’s there for a reason! Read it!

SugarDiplomat – I understand the angle you’re coming from. You don’t want to smother her or lay it on too thick. If it’s becoming a growing concern, I would suggest briefly becoming a little elusive, but then we’re entering the outskirts of game-playing territory. Eeek.

  466. Lisa Marie says:

LOL…nope TX is to big for me to ride a bus…got to much “baggage” to ride a bus. I have a rental car for now.

  467. lisa says:

I’ve never had a car, sounds like i’ll be seeing alot of you on the bus :)

  468. Lisa Marie says:

Koi….Yea I know I saw the post about you car being stolen.

LOL. Thats a way to keep them away.

Ok…well off for a few hrs. Should be back on tonight!

  469. Koi says:

SugarDiplomat, I agree with Gemini’s response above. Unless she is taking you for granted, you are probably overthinking it. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

  470. Flo Rida says:

browneyes6082-365391 – Change “Secratary” to “secretary”, also “all be it” is more commonly written “albeit” though “all be it” is grammatically correct. Good luck in your search.

Lisa Marie – i don’t know much (anything) about the BDSM world, is it your pics – age? Just trying to help.

Gem29 – was your wknd ok?

SugarDiplomatSD – the most important part of a relationship is communication, you feel that you are bweing over generous and want to pull back but have you talked it through with her?

    Must dash, fun night tonight.

  471. lisa says:

just heard on the news that a former funeral home worker at a funeral home not far from me has been arrested after images of him having sex with a corpse were found on his computer. Weird

  472. Koi says:

    Hi Lisa Marie

Sorry about your car woes. I just had mine stolen.

I get the submissive question a lot. I just respond, “No, but I like my men to be.”

That keeps the doms away. =)

  473. Lisa Marie says:

To add that to the bill…..I got in a car accident Friday….Totaled my car. This guy just pulled out of a drive while I was mid lane change. I was lucky though, all I hurt was my right hand and its just brused…and a few odd bruses from bumps and my seat belt.
I have a small car, and it was a big F250 or F350 that hit me.
Was NOT a good start to a weekend. So now I am having to look for another car I cant afford right now.

  474. Lisa Marie says:

Bad thing is…in no way in my profile does it make it seem like I am a submissive. And then….I dont seem to be clicking with anyone right now. Not even through emails. But I mostly get these stupid Submissive questions. :( Kinda sucks

  475. Lisa Marie says:

LOL…only you TLG! :) I couldnt imagine you could resist on that.

  476. Lisa Marie says:

LOL…Well TLG. I couldnt tell you on here. But as for outreach reasons…no. As per experiance in the lifestyle, no.

I do read a LOT of books. And other stories written by people wishing to be authors. So to admit to curiousity….yes.

  477. The Lone Gunman says:

    Sorry–couldn’t resist….

  478. The Lone Gunman says:

    Lisa Marie:

Well? ARE you a submissive? :)

  479. Lisa Marie says:

Ugh I keep getting these darm emails asking me if I am a submissive….nothing but “Are you a submissive?” Point blank…thats it. How do they attract SB’s like that??

  480. Taz says:

Liz – Maybe they are just busy and putting out feelers? If one catches your eye and you see some potential from the profile it wouldn’t hurt to respond back – maybe you will be surprised :)

  481. Lisa Marie says:

Hey there Sugars! I am on for a few minutes before I head out!!! How is everything??

  482. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

SugarDiplomat SD ~ Like VC said before , if you think you are being to generous then you are!
Just cut back gradually. It will be better for you and the relationship, I think. And she won’t feel like all of a sudden you stopped taking care of her. No, you don’t want to be taken advantage of or taken for granted.

  483. Gemini29 *365643* says:

SugarDiplomat SD – I think you have a good balance already…I was reading that although you COULD stay with her 6 out of 7 nights, you don’t. You give her her space, and I think that part is key. But I really have to ask…are there any signs from her that you are getting that she IS taking you for granted or that you ARE being over-generous? Because you could be over thinking this or maybe you are picking up on some sub-conscious signals.

  484. SugarDiplomat SD says:

The question of whether a Sugar Daddy can be too generous is of course relative as to what we can afford, as DC said. But in my case I just spend the “mad money” on my SB so I am well within my budget and I could actually spend more before cash flow would become an issue.

Rather, my concern is more related to the fact that as a male, I am now in a relationship with someone who is being introduced to the ropes of how sugar arrangements work, who has no previous experience of sugar daddies and who instead instinctively compares the arrangement to her previous relationships, which have all been traditional boyfriend/girlfriend situations.

And in those sort of relationships it has been my experience that nice guys finish last. Our “generosity” can be misconstrued as actually lowering our relative value, in the way that VillaCypris picked up on: So on one hand, I want to keep the sugar tap open for her. But just not at the cost of losing her respect, or being taken advantage of, or being taken for granted.

  485. Flo Rida says:

DC – Thanks, I napped, took an overdose of Vit C, doing a light workout to shake the lethargy out of my body and then another nite on the toon 2nite! i’m getting excited again. Sorry about the moods. I know the holidays can be stressful – loooong story on my part. Hope you feel better. Ciao

  486. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

JetSet~ Love LA, when are you going?

  487. JetSet says:

    Happy Monday Sugars!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Just getting ready to book my LA trip! WooHOO!!!! Can’t wait to get some time with my best friend and visit some of my FAVORITE stores and restaurants!!!!

  488. Liz says:

SugaCaneBby: Thanks! That’s what I’ve been doing! I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t an unofficial etiquette or anything. As you can tell, I am new to the sugar world so I am not quite 100% sure how everything goes.

  489. ATXCocoaSB says:

Thanks, Lannie. I’ve only had a profile for less than a week, so maybe patience is not my best virtue. I’ll see what happens.

  490. Lannie says:

    ATXCocoaSB says:
What am I doing wrong? How do I get an SD to see that I am TRULY a diamond in the rough (referencing a previos post)?

Hello Cocoa, how long ago did you create your profile and has it been approved yet? Until it can be viewed by being approved you will not get responses but once it is approved it sometimes takes a few days but you can also search and email profiles that you find interesting. As I was just looking at profiles I found a few of those had been returned the next day. You can see who has looked at your profile on the search page if you scroll down and also email them if someone’s profile attracts your interest. Do not give up and just be yourself and it will happen.

  491. skip says:

are there not many Male SB’s here
    thats sad!

  492. SugaCaneBby says:

Liz: If you feel like replying, go for it, but frankly what they’ve attempted to do is waste your time. You shouldn’t let them succeed by attempting to be courteous. I’d say just ignore them all if you’re not interested.

  493. Liz says:

SF SD: The level of thought and considerate you put into your gifts is such a lovely thing to hear (or uhm. . . read lol)!

You and SugarDiplomat both sound like exemplary gentleman! :)

Question to all the SB’s: It seems that most of the messages I’m receiving are of the copy-and-paste variety. I personally have no interest in any of these men, but should I respond anyways out of courtesy?

  494. ATXCocoaSB says:

    Hi all!
This is my first time replying to a blog, although I seem to have spent countless hours reading the blogs before I created a profile myself. I am worried that I am not getting any real replies, so maybe my profile needs help?
I began to feel like what was mentioned up top, like maybe I am supposed to post partially-clad photos in order to get the attention of a pot SD. But I really don’t want that kind of attention. Just a pot SD so that at least I know I’m on the right track. I am smart and work hard. I am a single mother. I also can give a SD lots of affection and appreciation, seeing as how I stay single, LOL.
What am I doing wrong? How do I get an SD to see that I am TRULY a diamond in the rough (referencing a previos post)? I’d appreciate any help. You guys seem like a great group.

  495. SugaCaneBby says:

Hi sugars. Slow day today. Just sitting around deep conditioning my hair and reading. I need to go through my comp and upgrade some programs as well as run a scan because the main page for this site refuses to load (sources point to a memory leak, which doesn’t suprise me). I wish all the SBs with Pot dates in the works tha best of luck.

  496. DC *320283* says:

    Hey Flo Rida:

I have been feeling the same. The colder weather and rain really brings home the fact that summer is over. It went by so fast :( I feel like hibernating already. And it brings home the fact that the holidays are right around the corner. A stressful time for me.

  497. Flo Rida says:

VillaC – you have email – also buono notte (I’m off to bed – feel sleepy). x

Maple Sugar – make sure you have an escape route, also a local contact and read my and others’ earlier post on first meet protocol – just go through the posts backwards. Have fun.

  498. Maple Sugar says:

Woohoo! He offered to put me up in a hotel!
And it looks nice, too. (I am the easiest SB in the world to please ;))

  499. VillaCypris says:

Yes, but c’est la vie…. sorry you feel crappy. Email me, we can be friends even though we missed each other in charlotte…. xx

  500. Flo Rida says:

VillaC – yes I saw it – I pop in and out of the blog but I do read it, nice profile btw, isn’t it a tiny bit scary that great gals like yourself and others are in between SDs or boyfriends or blah blah – what has the world come to. I’m a tiny bit sad today, I think the weather changing and me not getting enough sleep and having too much fun has made me feel like a lead weight. I feel yukkie. Cheerio

  501. VillaCypris says:

Don’t know if you saw it way back up on the blog… but thanks for thinking of me….

  502. Flo Rida says:

Lannie – I’m so sorry, you have my sympathies. I don’t need to know what happened and I will give you the support and sympathy and time you need. Again so so sorry.

K-K – On your email q to me – us – I responded directly to you – cheers babe.

    OCSugarbaby – Have fun 2nite!

NYCSB and NEOhioSB – sounds like you two should form a number crunchers club.

  503. VillaCypris says:

Hey Flo Rida! :) hope you had a good weekend!

  504. VillaCypris says:

Oops…. I need to remove the old number!!

  505. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Hey DC!

I’ve got a whole new profile in the works! My sugar baby idol has helped me tremendously…. so I am ready for the most fantastic SD!! 😀

  506. DC *320283* says:

Hey sweetie- too funny about the CD. Your new profile looks great. Get ready to get bombarded with e-mails. I’m doing good….my back is another story :0. How is the ankle?

OC- so happy for you. Hope he is as fabulous in person.

Hey Villa- will be nice to put a face to your name finally

SFSD- good to have you back on the blog. Still recovering from my trip. Good to be home. I need a real, non-family vacation now, know what I mean? Like a beach vacation..or a month in the Cinque Terre.

SugarDiplomat- too generous…well of course it’s all relative as to what you can afford. I guess we all tend to go a bit overboard when we are smitten with someone. And we do put ourselves at risk of being taken advantage of. I am sure, with time, you will find a good balance as you see how she handles that generosity.

  507. NYC SB says:

Gemi – one downfall of Gvoice (on the blackberry) – it allows you to text and dial from your pre existing addressbook however if that person replies you do not see their name as it appears in your addressbook but just their number… slightly confusing… but if you add them to your online gvoice addressbook you have no issues

your number should be xxx- agemisb

  508. Gemini29 *365643* says:

Oh and the Google gods finally let me have Gvoice. Yaaay! 😀 Can’t wait to use its new features… and such perfect timing too, since all these pot SDs want my phone number.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Thanks Gemi and NYC SB: I will keep an open mind. I love the whole local SD factor. I may come off as a strong minded individual, but in the end I am still just a girl.

  509. Gemini29 *365643* says:

Morning sugars! Back from my long weekend, now onward sugar! 😀

Looks like the blog has been quite active over the weekend, I like the new blog subject.

OC – Good luck with your new pot SD date!
Lannie- Sorry to hear about your tough times, hopefully you will bounce back quickly from it!

What do you think about copy/pasting initial messages to potential sugars? Are you offended when you receive a cloned message? Why or why not?
I’m not offended per say, but I did have a SD send a rather explicit cloned message…twice, which frankly irked me. I’ve noticed that the cloned message people normally don’t have much to say anyway…they can’t even converse with me, and so I get bored and drop them. I like a guy who can carry a conversation or interact with me. If a pot SD cannot even give me the time of day to write a nice email, I wonder how generous he’ll be in person…its not always about generosity of $ugar but also time, conversation, personality and character.

Are there different levels of sugar daddies and/or sugar babies? If so, what are they in your opinion?
Of course there are different levels of SD/SBs…just like in any other relationship. Its finding the right level of SD or SB for you…someone who’s goals match up best with yours so that the time spent together is mutually beneficial to both of you :)

  510. NYC SB says:

Miss OC – Have a fabulous time! Keep an open mind… he might be so charming that you wont want to keep your options open 😉

I love that feeling when you walk away from a pot date and you cannot stop smiling and you have butterflies in your ummm stomach 😉

  511. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    OC – wow – THANK YOU! 😀

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Well, tonight I am meeting a pot SD. First time in a long time that I actually feel super excited! We talked for hours on the phone last night. He is local, fabulous and hits the high mark on so many levels. He found me, which is my preference. He set himself apart in his initial email. Not just with promises of being genuine which most seem to feel the need to do. He asked me easy questions and found a unique way to get me to open up about myself without feeling too exposed.
I don’t want to make a quick decision when it comes to my next SD. I hope he is willing to give me the room that I need to make the right decision. I sure could use some SD wisdom off line to help me with all of this! Wish me luck!

  512. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Hey OC!

You’re welcome!!!! Wish for the “perfect” SD 😉

    K, I uploaded a new face picture…. approval pending!

  513. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

OC~ Hoping to have tones of mails!!!! Thank you…. 😉

VC~ you are! and thank for the Wish! 😀

  514. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Awww…. thanks BG! 😀

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Villa: Fabulous legs!!! Va va va OMG!!! However I will be honest, cut the content down. You can always add it back.

  515. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

NYC SB~ thank you! I finally got a mail!!! YAY for me! lol

  516. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

VC~ yeah you need a close up photo,,,, you are so pretty… 😉

  517. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Thanks NYC! :) all that biking pays dividends… 😉

Good point. I’ll find a close up of my face.

  518. NYC SB says:

NeOhio – My company is an international conglomerate – so I hear you 😀

Villa – Nice legs chica… I love the profile… its consise its engaging… the SDs should be lining up… My only comment is that the picture with your face is somewhat blurry – maybe you did that on purpose – i would also include a face close up 😀

  519. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Congrats BG! That’s great news :)

NYCSB – what do you think of mine… I modified it a bit….

  520. NYC SB says:

Sweetie – I LOVE the new profile… i always loved the pictures…. this should land you an SD in no time

Lannie – understood… onward and upward

  521. Lannie says:

Thank You for your concern, this too will pass and in the meantime I will give the situation some critical thinking. I can not say anything on the blogs but Kit-Kat is welcome to share what happened as I do not have others email addresses and she knows what took place. I just do not want this experience to affect me in the long run and that is what is important.

  522. NeOhio SB says:

NYC SB: HA. I can relate to your work crunching. I am also a finance numbers manipulator, although on a diff. level with international implications.

  523. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Thanks Lannie! I sent a mail to Kit Kat, asked her to send you my email!
    Hope you are ok!

  524. Lannie says:

Well at least you know he looked at your picture … good luck on the new profile.

  525. NYC SB says:

Lannie – sorry to hear that you are going through a rough patch… let me know if i can be of any assistance … in any event the best healer is time

  526. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

I have just gotten my first mail, saying : You have such beautiful eyes!

guess my new profile is good lol…

  527. VillaCypris *276489* says:

I agree with what Lannie just posted above… it sounds as though you are worried that your “generosity” will be misconstrued in some fashion, and lead to you feeling disrespected, taken advantage of, or used by the SB, who could potentially take you for granted.

No one should do that which makes him or her uncomfortable…. if YOU think you are being “too generous” most likely you are….

  528. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Thank you, Lannie! Best wishes on your healing… sorry… :(

  529. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Lannie~ i’ll send kit kat my email and she can give it to you…. I hope your ok…
margo~ i have no clue how to add gravatars here, but i think it’s the email that give you the gravatar… not sure… hope someone can help!

  530. Lannie says:

SugarDiplomat: says “Is there such a thing as a sugar daddy being too generous? ”

I love that question and I actually believe that being too generous can be a downfall to some degree. There has to be a balance in a sugar relationship and often I think generousity can lead to feelings of being used or at least perceptions of this. I have been known to refuse assistance at times when I did not need it or too many gifts as it would change the course of the arrangement and take away my independence to some degree. If she is new the sugar arrangement it is so important that she learns guidelines and what a good arrangement is, so in some ways you are a mentor in that regards and not all SD’s in the future will be as honest, real or generous as you. Just some food for thought. (smiles)

  531. Margo says:

I’ve created an avatar in Gravatar. How to add it here?
    Thank you.

  532. Lannie says:

Sweety SB: I did not get your email addy but I can not post what happened here in the blog. If you email with Kit-Kat, talk to her and she can relay the information as I have a lot of thinking to do and healing as well.

SF SD: I will take that as a compliment as I do put my self out there in my post and show my heart and soul. That is probably my down fall actually as I do not put on airs which I am starting to realize makes me vunerable to prey. (smiles and hugs to you)

Villa: Good Morning to you! I love these blogs as you can see who really does get it and actually gain a greater feel for what is important to others. For me it is learning from others that keeps me reading and responding on the blogs. Have a sugar coated day.

NYC: ummmmm chocolate now that is my favorite smile getter… I can not be blue when I have a creamy chocolate melting in my mouth especially Godiva Chocolates lol.. I once had the most amazing experience in a tub filled with chocolate syrup lol…

  533. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

NYC SB~ ahhh, now i get it!!! oh redid my profile, would love your imput!!! if you want or have time… 395953

SugarDiplomat SD~ I have had only one SD, for a long time. So, i’m not sure if I could be answering your question of being to generous. She does see you a lot, and i’m sure that is compensated. I do think that you have the right attitude about staying over too…It is hard to define this type of relationship to someone that knows nothing about it. I’m sure she is comfortable with the gifts and the help you provide. Since it’s not a cash in an envelope transaction…
Hope others can help you with your question!

  534. SugarDiplomat SD says:

It has so far been three months: My current SB and I are just entering our fourth month together now.

The first month was mostly just gifts and outings, and a lower level of financial assistance. We never explicitly discussed an arrangement because she was new to the situation and I actually had to think of how to assist her with cash in a way that felt comfortable and natural for her.

But as of the second month I had her bank details and started surprising her with out-of-the-blue deposits, and she also got more comfortable about dropping hints; both about what sort of gifts she would love to get and also regarding her allowance.

When the third month started I made a hotel suite available to her in the best five star hotel in town, a few blocks from her job, and she has now been living there for little over a month. It is a large apartment-style sugar pad so we don’t have to go out all the time but can cook at “home” and even entertain friends and colleagues as invited guests together.

I should add that my current SB is available at a moments notice some six out of seven days per week. I can also sleep over as often as I want, at the hotel suite which I got her, but I try to make it not more than twice a week … to keep it fresh, and not form a habit.

    Now I am wondering —
Is there such a thing as a sugar daddy being too generous? In my last SB relationship this was never a concern of mine because she had been in arrangements before and knew the ropes.

But with my current SB, who is a newbie and in her twenties, her only previous relationship-frame is that of a traditional boyfriend-girlfriend situation where a nice guy’s over the top generosity is often confused with neediness. This might then lead to a lack of respect for the SD as a man, which is the exact opposite of the goal here in the first place.

Have fun shopping Lisa! Hope you’re going to the Galleria!

  552. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Good morning Lannie – I completely agree. Well said!

Thanks SF SD! It’s too bad we can’t have a “mini SA” with only blog members and people who “get it” allowed 😉

  553. SF SD says:

    Well done, Villa!

Agreed that the denizens of the sugar blog exemplify all that is positive in SBs.

  554. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Photogirl – I think what I described could be in the broader category of “diamond in rough”….because as the SD peels back all the layers, both literally and metaphorically, he might find that what appeared to be an unpolished stone is really a sparkling diamond.

NC – yeah, definitely. I amend my description to include –

loyal, discrete, respectful, honest, committed… all those are a given for me, and I forgot to point them out!

    thanks! :)

  555. Lannie says:

Have you ever run across a sugar daddy or sugar baby with exceptional character/quality? What drew you to them?

My previous SD was a cut above the average and a very long term arrangement. I was drawn to his honesty, and the manner in which he conducted himself…always treating others with respect. I learned through him the importance of chemistry, friendship and confidentiality which enhances an arrangement. I also discovered how important one’s character plays in a SA, it is so necessary to trust one’s SB or SD and to have open communication. What I loved the most was the absence of drama and how this person never changed throughout the years . There is something to be said for a person who represents their persona right from the beginning in a humble and respectful way.

What do you think about copy/pasting initial messages to potential sugars? Are you offended when you receive a cloned message? Why or why not?

I do not get offended by cloned messages but if I suspect or realize that this is what I am getting I simply delete and have no further response with this person. I do not know that I would consider this as being fake but I would rather recieve a thoughtful communication that shows the other person has actually read my profile.

Are there different levels of sugar daddies and/or sugar babies? If so, what are they in your opinion?

Absolutely and I actually agree to some level with male sugar baby and lone gunman with the basic, medium and upper level. What I do not agree with is the money range as for me I look at a basic level as being someone who has very limited time and actually want a short term arrangement. A medium level arrangement for me is one where friendship on some level is a must, and both people in the arrangement are benefiting from the arrangement on a greater level. I also look at the medium level as being more exclusive in the arrangement . Upper level arrangements in my way of thinking are spelled out to the letter, and actually require the SB for example to be available at a moments notice to some degree, have an appropriate wardrobe, and the degree of interaction is more intense and requires the highest level of confidentiality and respect. In financial aspects the arrangement is higher in figures as the demand is more and often includes a sugar pad. In a previous blog I remember the topic of using talents in an arrangement and in upper level arrangements this often comes into play, for example I use my ability to speak many languages fluently in my arrangement. What a SB has to offer often puts that person in an upper level arrangement but I think ones honesty, character and how they conduct themselves actually plays into what type of arrangement they ultimately end up with.

  556. lisa says:

Morning DC, Villa,Photogirl, Sweety, NC, others

Off to the mall for shopping now

  557. NC Gent says:

HI VC — good to see you! Yes – we needed that category — sorry for focusing so much on the negative. You pointed out a number of things I look for in the perfect and elusive SB! I guess the one thing that I would add to your list is… committed to sugar arrangement. Can’t remember who posted it earlier, but a couple of times I invested quite a bit of time, only to find out that the SB wasn’t really ready for the sugar world, even though we had great chemistry. I guess many times fantasy is better than reality.

    Hi BG and DC!

  558. photogirl says:

Villa – I second that!!! Although I was flattered to hear that I was in the catagory of ‘diamond in the rough’ by a SD. :) Made my night.

  559. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Hi DC!

Thanks eastcoastfilly! Just wanted to remind all the SDs out there that there ARE fantastic women on this site…. just takes time to find them and the courage to contact them! :)

  560. DC says:

Morning Lisa, Percy, OC, SFSD and Villa!

  561. DC says:

SFSD- What a nice story about the SB you spent time with in 2 cities. I feel the same about the SDs I have met. I would never…in a million years…meet these men off of a sugar daddy site. They would never show up in my social circle. Even though our lives have gone in different directions I will always be so grateful that I had the opportunity to spend a little time with them. Each one of them was exceptional in their own way

NYCSB- I was wondering what the heck your gravatar was LOL

Photogirl- sorry to hear you ended it with your SD

As for copying and pasting messages…well it’s not my preference to receive a cut and paste but I understand it from an SDs perspective. What’s important is how they respond to my message. I like it when they ask lots of questions to show interest.

SugarDiplomat SD- your SB sounds like a lucky gal…and vice versa of course!

  562. EastCoastFilly says:

    VillaCypris: Amen to that!!!

  563. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Hi Lisa and BG!

Missed you posting while i was detailing my ideal SB … 😉

  564. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Good morning Skip, TLG, photogirl, NC !!

I think we are missing another category of SB – a POSITIVE one – and one into which many of the ladies on the blog reside:

    the “desired” SB –

    1. well-educated – via school, via life, or both

    2. emotionally and mentally healthy – grounded, sane, balanced – avoids manipulation, games, drama, whining, childish behaviours

    3. physically healthy – “fit” on whichever level one desires to be – can hike up at mountain, play a breathless game of tag-you’re it running thru the corridors of a chateau in bordeaux, walk from bed to bidet without breathing heavily, swim across the infiniti pool at Ciragan Palace Istanbul, or lift a jerobaum of Krug to the lips.

    4. intelligent – can think for herself, read critically, analyse information, form her own conclusions and defend them when challenged. Versed on current events, finance, global politics, history, art, literature, music – fill in the blank.

    5. emotionally intelligent – can “read” people, has good intuition, perception, empathy, openness in thought and mind, a kind heart, a good soul.

I’m sure there are other attributes which I am missing, but instead of concentrating on the more negative stereotypes, wanted to bring to light a positive portrait or framework into which we might try to place the persons whom we meet.

  565. lisa says:

Yahhh, it’s Monday the start of my weekend!

  566. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

    Good morning
    Woohoo new profile approved!!! YAY!
Hope everyone had a great weekend?

  567. NC Gent says:

Hello all — hope everyone had a great weekend! I caught massive amounts of fish on Thursday and Friday. Anyone like wahoo and/or mahi mahi?

I also officially ended it with my SB on Wednesday so we have something in common photogirl!

Hope everyone has a great week!

I loved the post on the types of SBs — maybe we missed a category though that I have encountered — The Narcissist but maybe that is the same category as “I am pretty and deserve to be spoiled!”

  568. photogirl says:

    Good morning!

Sweety – No, I do not have a SD. It just recently ended.

TLG – Weekend was fairly quiet…but nothing wrong with those kind of weekends!

Skip – Not sure that I have seen you on here, so welcome. Nice to see Male SB’s on the blog.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  569. The Lone Gunman says:

Monday morning wake-up call, Sugar World!

How was everyone’s weekend? Was it spent in sweet sugar fun, or did the Mundane world creep in to gray your day?

  570. skip says:

as a SB i hate it when i see people copy past the same messages!
what is the point. i want to make each one of my SD feel differnt, not that some boy is trying to take there money. i like to add a small pun or joke something differnt then from all the other money hungry boy toys.

  571. browneyes6082-365391 says:

Sweetred- I may need to hire you as well! lol! I am very much so the girl next door and would think from my profile and pictures it would be easier to find someone who is not soley interested in getting in my pants. I’m very new to this, I have yet to meet up with any gents from this site actually. I’m talking to a couple potentials but had no idea how difficult it would be to find someone who seems real. But anway, I suppose I’ve ranted enough about this! lol

Here’s to hoping someone out there is serious when the say they want the girl next door type.

  572. VillaCypris *276489* says:

Now you have piqued my curiosity…

  573. LostSB says:

I have just become quite educated while reading these posts, although I must admit I still find myself a bit lost on this site. I joined a while ago, and have just recently come back to the site. Does anyone have some friendly advice to offer?

  574. SF SD says:

Suthrn, you’re welcome. For the newbie SBs who don’t know what I’m talking about, google the words “sugar daddy blog fake sd” for some useful advice about getting your bearings in sugar land.

    On to the questions:

Have you ever run across a sugar daddy or sugar baby with exceptional character/quality? What drew you to them?

One of the good things about sugar is the opportunity to spend time with women you would not ordinarily seek out. Having said that, this truly exceptional SB matched my typical preferences: Well-grounded, intellectually curious, with a clear direction in life and a goal that would benefit from my assistance. What drew me to her initially was simply an accident of timing and location. I was able to see her in two different cities.

What surprised and delighted me was a spontaneous and creative sexuality that was belied by her rather ordinary appearance. It sprung not only from her desire to please, but also from a joie de vivre that animated her entire being. I mentioned earlier in the blog about the “first date” chocolates. She not only recognized them, but had actually visited the place where they were made. She proceeded to unwrap one and place it between her lips so we could share the first bite. Our discussions of world economics, snuggled between the sheets, are etched in memory. Alas, she moved out of the country within a few months. I fully expect to see her in the paper one day, either as a foreign diplomat or on the arm of one. (Sorry if this was TMI.)

What do you think about copy/pasting initial messages to potential sugars? Are you offended when you receive a cloned message? Why or why not?

It’s not offensive, and it’s easy way to screen. My profile includes a few conversation starters, as well as a question that I am almost inviting a pot SB to ask. It’s pretty clear who’s paying attention — though I did respond to “Found anybody yet?”

Are there different levels of sugar daddies and/or sugar babies? If so, what are they in your opinion?

Male SB and TLG nailed this one.

  575. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Taz~ I had canceled my profile and now just made a new one! I’ll see how it goes…. Hopefully I will meet an SD that will think I’m amazing…. soon
You could get opinions from the SBs on this blog to help with your profile, maybe that is why you, or me, aren’t meeting SDs! or the right ones!
I asked everyone to help and they did, these ladies and gents are amazingly nice and helpful. 😀

  576. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

SugarDiplomat SD~ you are very generous indeed! I don’t know that she might think you of as being needy but, holding back now that you started, might be a little difficult no? For her, this is all new , being an SB?
How long have you 2 been together? it’s quite amazing that you did all that for her….
I do think your an amazing SD though, wish I could find one like you!!!
    Hopefully soon….

  577. Taz says:

Wow SugarDiplomat – you sound like an SD in shining armor 😉 Congrats on finding the one!

Sweety honestly – I’m not meeting the right SD’s either…but I am holding out! Let me know if your luck changes :)

  578. SugarDiplomat SD says:

Sweety SB, thanks for the best wishes. It is working out great so far, with only my main worry being if I am perhaps spoiling her too much. I say this because I met her in real life, and she has no previous SB experience so her frame of reference is that of a boyfriend-girlfriend situation … in other words, where “nice guys finish last” and those who give too many gifts can sometimes come across as being needy.

I am merely concerned that I may be giving her too much of a good thing: Right now we’ve moved her out of her roommate arrangement and for the past month she has been living permanently in her own large apartment suite in the best hotel in town. I also paid off her credit card debts and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to surprise her with several nice deposits in her bank account recently. All in addition to the gifts and our frequent outings together.

Still, my gut tells me that perhaps it is time to now hold back a little, just in order to re-establish the upper hand in the relationship.

  579. SF SD says:

After some time away I just spent about four hours catching up with this and the previous blog. Thank you and sugar hugs to the SBs who made such kind and gracious comments. I truly enjoy my time here in the sugar bowl, and it’s because of all of you.

  580. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

I think I’m not meeting the right SDs lol
Hope you all have a good night

  581. VillaCypris *276489* says:

    Good night, all…. *sweet* dreams!!!!

  582. Koi says:

I’m off to bed. Good night all!! Thank you for the fun/informative comments!

  583. Koi says:

Oops! I started the accidental typo of “SuperDiplomat”, ha. Just noticed it’s “SugarDiplomat”!

And all good first date gifts, SF SD!

  584. SF SD says:

    > Koi If you don’t mind disclosing, what kind of first date gifts have you been given, SB’s?

By first date do you mean the get-acquainted meeting? My philosophy here is to give a small token, something that says you appreciate the fact that she took the time and trouble to meet you, without implying any future obligation. There is a shop nearby that provides small boxes of exquisite hand-decorated chocolates, and these seem to do quite well.

If you have conversed enought to know more about her interests and tastes, you can become a bit more creative later on. Some of the more successful gifts I can think of include a bolt of Chinese silk, novel signed by a favorite author, and a souvenir from a performance of a famous entertainer. That’s not to say that things like money and gift cards are not appreciated as well. It’s nice to present these in an appropriate fashion, such as slipped into a silk-screened or letterpress note card.

  585. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Liv~ yeah made a typo there lol i like that too!!!

  586. Liv. says:

Sweety- I liked the ring of “SuperDiplomat!”

  587. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

SugarDiplomat SD~ sorry messed up your name , she is a lucky girl!

  588. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

SuperDiplomatSD~ it’s great to hear!!! hope all works out for you two!

  589. Koi says:

    Hi SuperDiplomat!

The watch was a very nice gesture! Congrats to both of yall for finding each other =)

  590. Liv. says:

Not only very appropriate, but generous as well.

Diplomatic in all affairs, I see.

  591. SugarDiplomat SD says:

Koi, with my previous SB the first date gift was a pair of shoes that she wanted (we had spoken by phone about this before and I asked for her shoe size).

With my current SB I actually gave her a pre-first date gift: I met her as the customer service rep of a telecoms company and she had solved a problem on one of our accounts, so I bought her a watch and called it a thank-you gift, which I gave to her at work prior to our first date.

For our first date I did not bring a gift but we had dinner and drinks at a restaurant inside a large upscale mall, and when we hit it off (as expected) we both agreed that she would be accompanying me to some of the diplomatic parties that I have to attend as part of my work.
So when we left the restaurant we went straight to one of the stores in the mall and she tried on several full length dresses and formal gowns for her to wear at the events. We then bought two and that was my first date gift.

(Later we have bought many more for her. Last week alone she got three new ones, on account of joining me for the National Day parties held by the embassies of China, Nigeria and Germany, three days in a row.)

  592. VillaCypris *276489* says:

well i tried adding a picture – or rather a gravatar

  632. Taz says:

Photogirl – can you politely ask him to fill in the rest of them? :)

  633. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

photogirl~ send the SD my way girl… 😀 lmao

  634. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

OC~ I hope so… I have to get a new email for sure…. But like I stated to you before, i’m just a little hummmm discouraged!!!
oh i did add something else to the text though, sending it!

  635. photogirl says:

Sweety – No…I am all the way down here in Florida.

  636. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Photogirl~ are you from Canada???? I know one here that does too…. he was awesome, cute, the works…. but I’m too far :(

  637. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Koi~ I’ve only had a few first dates…. and it never added up to nothing for me….

  638. photogirl says:

I know one SD in Canada that gets it 😉

  639. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Taz~ I am so not the person to ask, since I have not had any luck!
I would say yes they are different…. I think the Americans understand this better than Canadians… but lots of SBs on this blog are from the states and they say that the SDs don’t get it either so….. I’m so confused!!!!

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Sweety SB: If you enter a new email for your new SA account. It is just for notifications that you have mail. You can still give pot SD’s your old one to communicate with you. That is what I did. I log into SA enough that I can see my mail and it doesn’t matter that it goes to the new one.
You are going to have a great smoking profile with the new one!

  640. Koi says:

Sweety SB~ Lunch / dinner is should be a given. Sorry, I don’t think it counts as a gift. =) I’ve received small things that I thought were nice gestures. A bottle of Chanel perfume, a sweater…

  641. Taz says:

Koi – I am very excited for you! Have fun and keep us posted :) I have not received any first date gifts and like photogirl, was not aware of it til I came here.

Sweety – I am from Ontario as well…a few hours from Toronto..closer to Detroit…

Do you think American SD’s and Canadian SD’s differ? How so? And how about the SB’s?

  642. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

OC~ did you take some sun for me? my ankle is still painful, but it will get better!

  643. photogirl says:

Koi – I personally have never received any first date gifts. But I was not even aware that SD’s do this until I came to this blog.

  644. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Maple~ yes, you should ask him. Also if have a friend call or text you while your there, let someone know where you are! just be careful girl!

  645. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

KOI~ I never got any gifts on the first date ,,,, ever! mind you they did pay for lunch… lol does that count? lmao

  646. Koi says:

    SB’s and SD’s

If you don’t mind disclosing, what kind of first date gifts have you been given, SB’s? What kinds of first date gifts have you given your pot SB?

  647. Maple Sugar says:

    Yay, Canadian girls represent! :)
Haha, I need to get offline and study! But this is far more interesting than psychology I’ve already learned a million times. Someone needs to learn discipline. (hint: it’s me.)

I think I might ask him if he can arrange a hotel room for me, and if he says no, I’m out of there.

  648. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Everyone is going to be on Sweetred to hook them up lol,
    How are you tonight TLG?

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hi Sweety SB: Hope your foot is feeling better.
I have to say that getting inbetween someone and their SB or SD is not a good idea, don’t you agree SweetRed? It is always best left to the individuals involved!

      • OCSugarbaby says:

Koi: First Date gifts are not common. All my dates have been to see if we have chemistry. I actually would refuse any type of $ gift. It would shift my SB type of dating to the far end of the spectrum. I don’t need to be compensated to meet them. However I have gotten lovely gifts the next day. But that was after we agreed to move forward with the arrangement. My SD sent me shopping to this lovely boutique in Newport and a spa day. He was so thoughtful.

I’m in the DFW area. Ask Stephan for my email if you want to forward her info to me.

    No guarantees, though.

  650. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

    Maple~ nice!

  651. Maple Sugar says:

    I’m from Ontario.

  652. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

    TrOpIcAL BaBe ~ hey girl!

Taz and Maple~ i’m from MTL!!! where you girls from?

  653. Koi says:

It’s okay if you don’t have past experiences, we’ve all been there! Just state what you would like.

I’m with you when it comes to asking for allowances! I’ve even posted on here about the best way to approach it! The advice I’ve received was to let the pot SD bring it up. However, some will not.

With the current pot SD I’m looking into, after our date, I messaged him thanking him for the great time. I also took that time to bring up the allowance I would like. He said he really enjoyed my company and would like to discuss the details of the allowance during our second date over dinner & shopping! I’m excited to see where it goes, because he is someone I had a great time with!

  654. Taz says:

what part of canada are you from maple?

  655. Maple Sugar says:

Yep, sweety SB, I’m Canadian. Let me guess, my name gave it away? 😉

  656. “Have you ever run across a sugar daddy or sugar baby with exceptional character/quality? What drew you to them?”

…ahh nope, where are they??? are they hidding or somthng? lol.
unnfortunately, I havent been lucky to find my match, but I know I will eventually, possitive thinking right! =)

OC – …your kisses picture gave me a craving for chocolate, and kisses too lol…

  657. Taz says:

    Hi Koi!

Thanks for your response…I actually have never had more than a dinner and coffee with a couple pot’s…so I personally have nothing to compare to…I have tried to talk a bit about what I have read on the blog here..and suggested they should check it out sometime – but I have a hard time with bringing up and talking about money as that is not ALL I am interested in…but it is definitely apart of it…I am not sure if he is just clueless and eager…or trying to play me…I get good vibes from one pot. and he is within an hour’s distance from me which is nice but it seems like he really has no clue about what an ‘arrangement’ is..he is married and not wanting to travel much which is ok with me so I am not sure how to broach the topic without sounding like a gold digger..which I most definitely am NOT. I have met him once and chatted and texted quite a bit in the last few weeks as well and not talk about anything on his part – he seems innocent so I am not sure where to go from here :(

  658. SuthrnExec says:

SF SD, thanks for the high praise of “How to Spot a Fake SD”.

    Greetings all

  659. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Maple~ are you Canadian? if so, I am too!

  660. Maple Sugar says:

I am originally from a small town that’s actually pretty close to the city in which he wants to meet, though I haven’t visited the city much.

  661. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Maple Sugar ~ where are you originally from?

Hello all, how is everyone tonight?

  662. Maple Sugar says:

    Thanks for your reply Koi!
It’s a little bit more complicated than that–I’m a student and I live away from my hometown, and to be honest I’m about equally as unfamiliar with the city I’m living in and his. Thank you, though, I think I will talk to him a bit more first (I won’t be available until the weekend after this anyway, so there’s lots of time).

  663. Koi says:

    Hi Taz!

The fact that he is new to his could work to your advantage.

In my experience, new SD’s have wanted to know about my past experiences. When I tell them the trips I’ve been taken on and experiences, they know what I’ve come to expect. In most cases, they want to meet or exceed the last person.

  664. Koi says:

    Hi Maple Sugar~

The fact that you are “not entirely sure what to do” speaks for itself. Being a new SB is challenging enough on your nerves, without having to throw in new confusing surroundings!

I always insist on meeting for the first time in my hometown. If he is serious about having an ongoing arrangement with you, he should be free to travel some. It is the gentlemanly thing to do. A real SD will want to put you at ease, so that the date goes as smoothly and easily as possible.

    Good luck!

  665. Taz says:

How exactly do you explain to new sd’s how things work? It seems all the sd’s around THIS area (ontario, canada) I am pretty new around here and am not sure how to ‘gently guide’ pot. sd’s so they understand how it is supposed to work (ie: NOT pay for play, when to bring up allowance, etc.) I am very inexperienced and was really hoping to meet someone wonderful who would guide ME! lol…I know..I know…wishful thinking 😛

  666. SF SD says:

Sincere SD – At the risk of stereotyping, here are the types of newbie SB I’ve encountered.

    1. “Investigators”
    2. “Arm Candy”
    3. “I deserve to be spoiled”
    4. “Drama queens”
    5. “The jaded”
    6. “Diamonds in the rough”

This one belongs in the Hall of Fame, alongside Suthrn’s “How to spot a fake SD.”

  667. Realistic SD= said ” I have dated investigators, arm candy, “I deserve to be spoiled”, drama queens, and the jaded, but not yet the diamond in the rough.” I think that’s because you havnt met me yet! 😉

  668. Maple Sugar says:

Sugars, would you mind helping a newbie?

I’ve got a guy who emailed me yesterday. He seems really interesting and well-educated, and we seem to share quite a few similar interests. I emailed him back last night, and he just sent me another message. He’s offering to buy me a ticket (about a 2 hour trip) to his city. I’m not entirely sure what to do:
    1) Is it generally “ok” to bring up meeting so soon?
    2) I have a very unique last name–actually, from Googling (oh, admit you do it too, hehe), I’m pretty sure I’m the only one of me in the entire country. I’m a little nervous about giving it out, therefore, but I don’t know if this is unfounded. Any experience with this?

  669. SF SD says:

    > Summer – “I tried to look at it from the man’s point of view: someone who just arrived on this site being totally new to the SB/SD experience and not knowing what to expect. He’d probably take a quick look around and quite naturally assume that these girls are escorts. Can you blame the poor newbies for getting mixed signals?”

Summer, I couldn’t agree more. Someone just arriving could not be faulted for assuming that the name of the game is pay-for-play. No doubt there are escorts having “success” here. But, ladies, don’t expect to attract more than “basic” level players (see Male SB’s classification scheme) if your strategy is to plaster you *ss all over the Internet. Of course, I’m preaching to choir here in the blog.

    > “It’s very frustrating for the SB’s to deal with educating guys who haven’t done their homework before signing up here.”

I’m sure “frustration” is understating it.

    > “I’m hoping that the more experienced SD’s will help them out a bit with advice and counsel…”

We’re doing our best here. Having had some discussions on other forums, I’m sorry to say that the “be a gentleman” line does not always go down well.

The flip side is that ungentlemanly conduct is a useful screening device. Delete and move on.

  670. Flo Rida says:

RealisticSD and NCGent – Oops I re-read your definition and I’m absolutely not a drama queen in the way you describe (ie desparate with problems) I just like being the center of attention :-)

Sweetredhead – VillaC – I actually know two great guys in real life looking for SBs but my SD won’t let me ‘represent them’ in case something bad happens downstream and it reflects poorly on me – him – he also says ‘you don’t the money’ which he’s right. I loooove one of them the other one’s nice to. Both would never go on a website and would find SBs IRL. VillaC – I would have loved to have put you in touch with one of them – soooo sorry.

NewbieSB – I’ve only had one SD in my life whom honestly I would probably date without an allowance so I don’t really know. He’s divorced. I would think married and single SDs would both have commen interests with slight variations. Privacy and discretion are pretty clear, also money trail & hiding allowance, time constraints, married SDs have more to lose and also generally are older. I would guess if you are young – really young then younger SDs (single) would be more interested. Good luck.

  671. Koi says:

    Figured it out! ha

    • OCSugarbaby says:

SweetRed says: I guess because I am so honest, I see through dishonesty. I can tell when a person is not being truthful.

      Um, that’s quite a gift…

  672. Koi says:

    Hi everyone!!

I noticed that several of you have mentioned browsing through other members profiles to see what the other SB’s and SD’s are posting. How do you do that?? I tried browsing and it would only let me see SD’s. I’d like to browse other SB profiles, too.

    Thank you!

  673. 1/2 Step Down says:

I love this phrase of RealisticSD’s:

“The problem with physical beauty is that it creates infatuation, which leads to irrationality.”

If only I learned this VALUABLE lesson years ago.

  674. RealisticSD says:

A few questions about the blog:
    How do you italicize words?
How do you get a picture to load?
Is there a way to edit what I have posted (e.g. typos).

  675. sweetredhead*269443* says:

not here tx email me and I will give it to you

  676. texaSD says:

whats the dallas SB profile number?

  677. sweetredhead*269443* says:

    Hey nico!! how are you?

  678. Nico says:

    *high-five* Red 😉

  679. sweetredhead*269443* says:

Something you would not say on the blog. I agree.

  680. sweetredhead*269443* says:

I guess because I am so honest, I see through dishonesty. I can tell when a person is not being truthful.

  681. RealisticSD says:

I am totally honest with SBs also. But I am not sure they’d want their issues broadcast on the web.

  682. sweetredhead*269443* says:

My pot knows about the blog and see’s everything I write. He says he is impressed by what I have to say.

I am the type of person who will not say anything behind your back that I would not say to your face, so I don’t care if he see’s what I say about him.

He says I am too honest for my own good, lol I think I have to agree.

  683. RealisticSD says:

Call it a gut feeling. But at the moment, a short break from sugar dating is in order for me.

Do people on the blog ever worry that their sugar-dates are reading the blog and would know they are writing about them?

  684. sweetredhead*269443* says:

I am off to get ready for the week, ughhhh Monday’s!! If anyone needs me feel free to email me. sweetredhead5253 at the y place

  685. sweetredhead*269443* says:

RealisticSD one that falls though? lol positive attitude mr!

  686. sweetredhead*269443* says:

Anyone looking in Dallas? I found a sweet girl, looks like she is true to herself and a nice catch for someone :)

  687. RealisticSD says:

Sweetredhead, I have one more SB in the pipeline, and don’t want to broaden things at the moment. Once that falls through, I will let you know.

  688. RealisticSD says:

With the first pair, I was definitely a third wheel. This current (or immediate past) pair has tended to include me pretty well, although their rather unusual personal lifestyle makes it a lot of effort to meet on time, etc. One advantge to a pair is that you don’t have to entertain them as much. But one problem with a pair of SBs is that you get caught in the middle of their feuds and conflicts with one another. Way too much drama.

BTW, despite the fact that I have dated two pairs of SBs, I am not particularly looking for a pair. In fact, I’d much prefer one SB-one SD.

  689. Liz says:

Wow, I have rewritten my profile about 4 times now. I think I finally have it to where I really like it!

RealisticSD – Did you ever feel excluded from the sugar baby duos since they were already close friends and had that bond? I know that if I was doing this with a friend as my partner, it would make me less inclined to become connected to the SD. That could be a good or bad thing.

  690. Margo says:

Back to the subject of this blog – Sugar Presentation.

I responded to a message from the guy, who presented himself at his profile as a generous person looking for a special woman to spoil and pamper. But when we started talking, he complained that many women at this web site have unrealistic expectations and put silly dollar figures on their profiles.

I believe that some guys here present themselves as generous SDs, but they just want attract women and are not ready to provide a monthly allowance or anything like that.

  691. SF SD says:

    >RealisticSD – “I think it actually works out to half the pleasure and four times the trouble.”

Hmmm, yes. The Inverse Sugar Postulate.

  692. photogirl says:

Sweetred – I don’t think you need to worry about the clients…looks like they are already lining up for you!

  693. sweetredhead*269443* says:

I am a smart business woman lol. now I need the clients and a good reputation as a match maker

  694. NeOhio SB says:

Sweetredhead: Trust me, im a smart business woman too, but it takes a heck of alot more than business skills to find the right SD/SB combo……..A few good matchmaking skills and you can be the offical SA matchmaker.

  695. Sweety SB~ AKA BG says:

Sweetred~ you are on a roll girl …. lol

  696. sweetredhead*269443* says:

RealisticSD you have a deal :) now I just need your profile number and an email letting me know what your looking for

  697. NeOhio SB says:

Sweetredhead: You have definitely got the right niche and target market here…there are “lunch date” matchmakers, etc….be the next SA matchmaker…could open up a whole new market and a great commission $$$.

  698. sweetredhead*269443* says:

I can try. But as you know, not many of them to go around. what is your profile number? I will look at it then look at sm profiles for you. See if I can come up with a match

  699. MALE_Sugar_Baby says:

I would love to be your first MALE client. Can you find a SM?

  700. RealisticSD says:

Sweetredhead, you can find me the right SB and take a 20% commission.

  701. RealisticSD says:

I think it actually works out to half the pleasure and four times the trouble.

  702. lol I agree wit sweetred recipe for disaster.

  703. sweetredhead*269443* says:

RealisticSD lol your asking for trouble with 2 lol double the pleasure double the problems

  704. RealisticSD says:

NYC SB, you also should realize that the dynamics are very different when it is one SD-two SBs than one SD-one SB. In the latter, there tends to be much more intimacy more quickly, while in the former, the SD is like a third wheel. This is my second time meeting pairs on SA, and the experiences, though different, both are similar in that regards. It takes a lot more effort to create intimacy with two women than with one.

  705. sweetredhead*269443* says:

RealisticSD Maybe you need to hire me to do your screening :)

  706. RealisticSD says:

NYC SB, what is odd enough is that the pair and I have been much more intimate before this trip. Also, they verbally express interest in me and in having sex with me, but their actions speak differently. I think part of their issue is that they are best friends and roommates, and they are scared of how sex with one man may complicate their relationship. Totally understandable, but not really my problem. They should have sorted it out before creating a profile. Another complexity is that I did not really express interest in sleeping with them until this trip, primarily because the rest of their behavior is such that I am not sure if things can last with them, and I don’t want a one-night-stand or a brief fling but a LTSBR.

Sweetredhead, you are right about everything you say. True that when I screen, I just end up selecting the prettiest girls whose pictures and profile don’t lead me to suspect they are escorts. The problem with physical beauty is that it creates infatuation, which leads to irrationality. I guess I don’t have a system of screening for inner beauty online. IRL, it’s totally different.

I really think I am a little bit more on the emotional side of sugar-dating in the sense that I want an SB I can love and adore and who can love and adore me, even though it is understood that there is discreteness and limits to the relationship. A simple money-for-sex deal, no matter how it is presented, is just not enough of a turn-on for me.

  707. NYC SB says:

Realistic – what a lovely SB pair! I need to talk to them to figure out how they get away with such behavior… If an SD takes me on a vacation (im assuming this because of the hotel room and flight) then in my mind clearly he is expecting some form of intimacy and companionship…

  708. Citrus says:

    @Island Beauty,
that’s what I think too. I just thought I’d cut down the times I waste with the ones that turn out to be jerks. thanks.

  709. sweetredhead*269443* says:

Ok now, A woman deserves it? What about the SD? This is a mutually beneficial relationship. Both should be getting something out of the relationship, it works both ways. A woman keeping herself beautiful is all well and good, but what else does she have to bring? And Sd’s yes they bring money but what else?

People, come on there is more to it then money and beauty. That only gets you so far. Then what do you have?

  710. Margo says:

    NYC SB,
Those women expect to be spoiled not just because they are beautiful, but for spending their time with that man. The man can consider the whole package and decide, if she deserves it or not.

  711. sweetredhead*269443* says:

RealisticSD I think you need to screen a little more. Sounds to me you have either party girls OR substance users there.
Sometimes I think you men just look at the “package” not the inner beauty of a woman. You might want to look a little deeper and talk a little more.

I know you are busy and do not always have the time to screen a Pot SB before meeting. But don’t you think you are wasting time and money by not talking more to them first before meeting?

It like jumping into bed with a woman you think is hot and she is not very good sexually. Just because I woman looks good doesn’t mean she is good.

Take a little time to find out what a woman is about. My advice to you SD’s out there.

  712. SouthernGent2 says:

Flo Rida – I understand how you feel about the term “arm candy”. Its just an expression I guess, though truly I only would see a beautiful girl.

  713. NYC SB says:

Flo Rida says: I absolutely deserve spoiling AND I work really hard to look this good (I don’t eat dessert anymore, I work out all the time, I pay so much time paying attention to fashion and business and current events) and to pay attention to my SD – I think many many SBs deserve spoiling. PS i’m totally serious and not kidding. Having said that I also appreciate the spoiling tremendously.

Yes dear you do deserve it… because you EARNED IT! You dont sit there doing nothing and expecting your SD to still take care of you… he wants you to portray a certain image and you spend your time working towards it

  714. Citrus Delete and move on, pervs come in pack like wolves… Addressing in in profile might give of the wrong view of you.

  715. Margo says:

Flo Rida, thank you for understanding.

To decide what she really deserves, the SDs should consider her looks and what she does for them – her effort, attention and the happiness she brings.
If the girl does not care about him – he should just move on and there is no reason to complain.

  716. Citrus says:

@ Island Beauty, Girl, have you been reading the blog? lol.. I am no expert but from experience, I’ll warn you that you prolly don’t want to deal with the ones that are constantly talking about sex and so early, or lean heavily towards it. You don’t even know if you’ll have chemistry and they’re already talking about what they’d like to do to you, lol. If you’re comfortable with it, that’s another story, but if not..

  717. DC It’s on SDfor me they all pay only way to contact me… I’m definitely not doing the online sex thing, very tacky.

  718. Citrus says:

Hey y’all, hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.

I have my face/eyes hidden or cut off in all my pics, so I did feel the need to compensate by highlighting some of my other assets, in an halter dress. Even though it’s tastefully done, it still kept attracting the wrong types of dudes. Every time I got some unwanted email, I ended up changing my profile and adding to it the list of people I do not want to contact me.
Some of those include those who are contacting because of some racially-based fetish, asking me to get naked on webcam, etc. I felt like I had to address it in my profile, but i’m now wondering if my profile reads like I’m a little pissed/demanding/slowly into the “i deserve it” category, especially since the number of emails i’m receiving (both the good and bad) have gone down considerably since I started adding to it.

This might sound silly, but when you get unwanted emails, do you just delete and move on? Do you address it in your profile? I don’t want to have to change my pictures to deter the time-wasters..

  719. Those are definitely helpful i think i’ll definitely use the combo @ Florida

@NYC and Sweetred I’ll try the combo and if that dosen’t work i’ll NEXT him…

  720. Newbie SB says:

I’m not a SB — not yet. When I signed up I didn’t realize quite how driven and decisive these men are! Silly of me, I know, but I’m backing off until I have a better sense of perspective. Well, and until I’ve settled into the current school term.

Anyway, I’ve fielded responses from about 30 men in my first six days. About 10% went nowhere (“interesting profile” “nice” etc.), but to the other 90% I sent out a response. Sure, a fair few were rejections, but about half got my private email address and sent replies to my questions. Of these, 75% were duds — they weren’t as articulate, imaginative, witty, and honest as I initially thought. The top 10% stood out. They knew what I was looking for. In terms of appearance, humor, and confidence, they were the kind of men I would want to date IRL. Of the men I’ve talked to, one really took my breath away. His sense of humor was by turns dry and playful and he seemed really interested in knowing more about me. Huge turn-ons! I think if a man’s emails can make your face light up you will have the right kind of chemistry in person (yep, I know, I’m naive/a romantic/insufficiently disillusioned).

I only received one strange “top ten sexual activities” form letter. They’re looking for something that I’m not offering; I can hardly take it personally!

One question: do you find that married and single SDs are looking for something different? Do you try and attract one kind specifically? I don’t think a single married man has contacted me (as listed in their profiles)… and, quite honestly, I would appreciate the discretion, privacy, and normalcy of a more mistress-like relationship. But it’s not like I have any experience with that. I’d love some insight.

  721. NYC SB says:

DC – Even if he is a paying member (at $45 per month) doesnt mean he is serious about being an SD… say he lures girls to play with him on webcam… thats his entertainment for the month and it cost him less than a date for 2 at applebees

  722. RealisticSD says:

Summer, I agree with what you say. I like tasteful pictures that show the woman’s face and body habitus without looking like a centerfold, otherwise I wonder if the woman is an escort.

SincereSD, you’re right on with your classification. I have dated investigators, arm candy, “I deserve to be spoiled”, drama queens, and the jaded, but not yet the diamond in the rough.

I am kind of bummed out because I had to break up with three SBs in the last nine days. One of them was the first SB I met on SA about six months ago and things kind of fizzled out after we met a few times back in the spring. Later on, I thought that I had been unfair to her because she was my first SB so when she asked to give it another try, I agreed. But once we were in bed and she wanted to become more intimate, I pretty much realized that despite her attractiveness I just didn’t want to sleep with her. So I had to have the uncomfortable conversation of telling a girl I don’t want to have sex with her. She tried to meet again afterwards, but I ended up telling her that I just don’t see it working out with us.

Then I had an SB pair I have been seeing for two months and whom I have been very fond of, but they don’t really seem to have any concept of how to keep an SD happy. They sleep endlessly and generally struggle to be out of bed for a 3 PM meet. On a recent trip, they laid on my sides and just passed out instantly two nights in a row, too tired to make out. It shows complete lack of interest, even though they claim to be totally into me. Anyways, I deserve to be treated much better than that, so as hard as it was, when they were about to do the same thing the third night, I confronted them and ended up leaving them and taking an earlier flight back. I was nice enough to call their hotel room later to make sure they were awake in time for their return flight.

Anyways, still holding out hope for the diamond in the rough who wants a truly mutual relationship in which I would enjoy generously spoil her and she would enjoy being with me and spoiling me in return. But the process of finding one involves a lot of effort, heartache, and wasted money.

  723. DC says:

Island Beauty- more than likely after playing with you on CAM you will never hear from him again. I have encountered a few guys like that. I don’t think they seriously want to be a sugar daddy. They are just a*holes using the site to eff with women. Is he even a paying member? (look at his profile..if it is orange he is paying, if blue he is not.) It’s like another site I use where I say I am looking for a sugar daddy and men send me collect messages. I find that pretty funny….a sugar daddy who expects me to pay to read his message….NEXT!

  724. NeOhio SB says:

Island: Thats a NEXT for me too….definitely not a SD worth giving your time to. Loved Flo Ridas interpretations….excellent.

  725. sweetredhead*269443* says:

There are a lot of clues in how people come across. things they say that have other meanings.

  726. NYC SB says:

    Island – NEXT! lol

  727. sweetredhead*269443* says:

Island Beauty -327489 My advice would be, leave him alone. But that is just me. It sounds like he will get you into bed and say see ya. Or he wants to get frisky on the video cam and never talk to you again. Stick to your guns.

  728. Flo Rida says:

Island Beauty – He’s probably just interested in the chase, rather than an actual SD. BUT if he may be the real deal you could try 1) humor “Hey I love playing online poker – do you want to try it with me, or if you meant in person I like rollerblading” 2) assertive “I love playing to, but don’t you want to get to know how fabulous I am first, don’t you want to know how great of a connection we could have?” 3) blunt force trauma to the eardrum “I absolutely don’t play unless I feel safe and also we’ve laid (forgive the pun) the groundwork for an arrangement in advance”. Or a combination of all three. If he can’t focus on anything but he’s wiener he’s not going to be a good fit for you.

Margo – I agree – I absolutely deserve spoiling AND I work really hard to look this good (I don’t eat dessert anymore, I work out all the time, I pay so much time paying attention to fashion and business and current events) and to pay attention to my SD – I think many many SBs deserve spoiling. PS i’m totally serious and not kidding. Having said that I also appreciate the spoiling tremendously.

Lisa – Nice to hear from you and Percy too.

Ciao peeps, I’ve got plans 2nite.

  729. NYC SB says:

Margo – I believe the SDs post was more geared towards those women who believe they should have anything and everything handed to them because they are beautiful. The quote from Mr. Wade maybe taken out of contest when it stands on its own. I believe it was part of the chapter where it outlines allowance negotiations… it was more of a “ladies do not feel bad for having an SD give you more than you have ever imagined. do not devalue yourself”

  730. we were on video chat, i guess he wanted to see more.
    DC Thanks

  731. DC says:

    Island Beauty-

“Play” with him before meeting? As in IM sex or phone sex?

Yeech! If a guy wants to immediately IM with me in the first e-mail I usually delete them

  732. photogirl says:

Margo – (correct me if I am wrong SD’s) I understand the quote but I think it is different when one comes across in every way possible that they ‘deserve it’. I would imagine that is a very huge turn off to SD’s just as it is a very huge turn off to me that just because he has the money he ‘deserves it’ to have every woman waiting at his feet biding for his attention.

  733. Margo says:

Regarding SBs, who “deserve to be spoiled”. Here is a quote from Seeking Arrangement book of Brandon Wade:

” Listen up, Sugar Babes: You do deserve it! That’s what a Sugar Baby is for – to be adored and pampered and coddled and given to.”

  734. Hello every. I have a pot SD in Florida, we just started chatting and he wants to “play” with me before meeting. I mentioned to him that i wanted to be comfortable or i gave him the option of flying me out earlier than planned. We haven’t gotten to the allowance it seems to be leaning more to sex than anything else. So we exchanged number to discuss further details, but he again mentioned “playing” The convo was brief and he said i’ll hear from him later. He seems like a great guy, how do i approach the situation when he calls back. He’s my first pot, so i need some pointers. HELP!!

  735. lisa says:

I’m Percy’s sugarmamma, but now i’ve made him look like a sissy girl

  736. sweetredhead*269443* says:

lmao lisa you mean mean mommy!!

  737. photogirl says:

Lisa – I was wondering how you were doing! I am sure Percy looks fab!

  738. lisa says:

Percy spilled some of my OPI nailpolish that I had sitting next to the computer. I punished him by painting his toenails Chick Flick Cherry

  739. Flo Rida says:

DC – In addition to NYC SB list I would add “meet for (just) breakfast”, also if SD travels, meet at airport (but the lounges are beyond security) or at a hotel near the airport (just lounge not the bedroom) – he can schedule coming back or leaving for a trip with your schedule after work. Sorry I’m not a SD but hope the above helps.

  740. sweetredhead*269443* says:

photogirl look at you inbox lol

  741. photogirl says:

    Sweetred – Of course!

  742. DC says:

Good to know NYCsb and thanks for the suggestions. I guess they could say they have an appt. with their acupuncturist which would not really be a lie. Or massage therapist.

  743. sweetredhead*269443* says:

My assistant has to go through a screening process also :) Privacy, honesty and integrity and have experience in the SD lifestyle.

  744. photogirl says:

Sweetred – Need an assistant? Or how about you help me find a SD, then I’ll assist :)

  745. sweetredhead*269443* says:

Ok I am starting my new Sb screening business. Who wants to be the first Sd’s to use my services?

Saves you time, and aggravation. They do not get to you until they go through me :)

  746. NYC SB says:

DC – here is what most pot SDs have offered to me regarding not being able to meet during the day since i work

    a) meet right after work for couple of hours
    b) overnights work if the SD travels often so its not unusual for him to not be home at night
    c) I do not live in NYC
    d) meet me during lunch

  747. NYC SB says:

DC – i googled his name and it showed me he had a social network account… clicked on the link and it wasnt private… so i looked through

  748. Maple Sugar says:

Hello everyone. :) I’m brand-spankin’ new here, and new to the whole SB scene. I’ve been reading the blog voraciously over the past couple days! Lots and lots of good info there… I’d probably have made a ton of mistakes if not for all those lovely posts and your lovely comments. Thank you to Summer for your comment way up near the start of this comment thread… I’ve been looking through the other SB profiles and been very intimidated by their revealing pictures! My plain pics might not get as much response, but at least there won’t be as much gunk to filter through.

  749. DC says:

    Good morning sugars!

NYCSB wrote: i refuse to play silly games because i found his social network account with pictures of his kid and wife so i knew he lied… i gave him a chance to come clean and he messed it up… NEXT 😀

….just curious..when you say you found his social networking a/c what do you mean? If you don’t want to post it here you can e-mail me. Would love to know how this works for the future.

Question for SDs- if you are married and you click with a SB and the SB works full time how do you handle get togethers. In the past I have had SDs who were married who could only meet during the day when I was unemployed which might change. How do you handle it if the SB cannot meet during the day and meeting after work would raise suspicion at home.

Curious minds want to know. Thanks!

  750. Olivia says:

Oh, and after this comment, I will be posting under Liv.

Hope everyone is enjoying their sunday!

  751. Olivia says:

Wow, NYC SB- I’m sorry! It’s like, ok! Games up! Time to come clean…and he still didn’t! It certainly not worth all of the trouble and the silly games.

  752. Flo Rida says:

SouthernGent2 – RealisticSD – I would hate to be described as arm candy or a drama queen (though I probably am a tiny bit of both), sounds like the rental version of a trophy wife. Btw I met the current wife of Rupert Murdoch and she’s an absolute Betty and super bright too (I can mention her as lots of people have met her – she does a lot in charities and is a social queen). Though I’m ok with a broad discussion let’s try and play nice. Ciao peeps.

  753. NeOhio SB says:

NYC SB: Absolutley a NEXT for me too. You deserve better…and you will find it…no doubt. Some things in life there are NO SECOND CHANCES.

  754. Winnie says:

southerngent – I like how honest and up front you are. That’s the whole point of this, unfortunately, everyone doesn’t play by those rules.

  755. Flo Rida says:

NYC SB – I was just going to say if you want to fatten him up take him to Peter Luger’s across the Brooklyn (?) bridge – alas you have kicked him to the touchline. I agree though – if he lied to you about being single what else is he lying about. Thanks for tip about bikram (?) yoga place, I just got a mat out and performed in situ. Roomie is gone (so sad).

RealisticSD – I post from my wireless device (treo not blackberry). As you may know SD & I met IRL so I haven’t gone through the BS that you guys – gals go through (and frankly I’m not sure I’m brave enough to do so), BUT I was emailing another SB and thinking isn’t the best way to find someone who knows how to behave is to ask SD or SB to describe previous experiences and what works for them – that’ll quickly tell you if you’re dealing with a newbie. Equally newbie’s should be very careful (and safe) disclosing what they know to pot evil SDs.

K-K – I was just in Bristol (Motor Speedway) as roomie lives near Abingdon – Marion. I’ve never been to a NASCAR event (bear in mind I live north of Daytona) as I hate the traffic that comes with the event. Maybe going live would be fun. No offense.

NewbieSB – forgot your earlier q – just check the archives and search for key taglines or favorite SD or SB comments – as AtlNicole mentioned we talked about Lannie’s situation and people have talked about first meet – date protocol – allowance etiquette blah blah – just search for those key words and you’ll be a veteran pretty soon. Any q-s don’t hesitate to ask any of us, if it’s private just do a shout out and someone will connect with you by pribvate email – K-K seems to be the hub of the network.

VillaC, OC, Sweetredhead, Photogirl, Sweety – hi y’all – practising my southern twang (not).

  756. NYC SB says:

NE – yes once I found out I confronted him… he said “no im not married and i dont have kids” then i said “xxx is not your wife and xxx is not your daughter” to which he is like “xxx is not my wife here is her number call her and ask her what she is to me” ….

i refuse to play silly games because i found his social network account with pictures of his kid and wife so i knew he lied… i gave him a chance to come clean and he messed it up… NEXT 😀

  757. texaSD says:

SouthernGent- lol on the paypal bills…

  758. SouthernGent2 says:

SincereSD – that was a great post about the types of sb’s that are out there. Sounds like you have had experiences similar to mine. I tend to gravitate toward the invesigators and arm candy types.

The investigative types tend to like me. Maybe because I am willing to give them a bit extra time to get comfortable with the situation. But like you, I have found some don’t have what it takes to stomach the situation. I think those that found the site from Tyra Banks show often live in a dream world when it comes to how this really should work.

I do like arm candy. I had to learn my lessons though w
