Sugar Dating: Up for Debate

Sugar Daddy arrangements have been called “preconditioned experiences” by some, and “relationships re-imagined” by others, yet no matter where one stands on mutually beneficial dating, one thing’s for certain: sugars will tell it like it is 😉

Sneak Peeks?

It’s quite common for a Sugar Daddy to ask a potential Sugar Baby for a sneak peek prior to their 1st meet. Many arrangements never were because a sneak peek was requested too early, in the wrong fashion, or was followed by a Sugar Daddy disappearance…

“Depends on *how* he’s sneaking that peek. If he’s really just taking a peek and then just shows a momentary appreciation for what he sees, then it’s ok. If he’s taking his time to undress me with his eyes and making it obvious that he’s imagining having sex with me (all this lasts way more than a “peek), then that’s just irritating and gross.” -TXSB

Open Negotiable vs. Amount Specified

This personal preference can determine whether or not a potential SD or SB will ever know you exist, as 65% of sugars use the “assistance wanted” preference in their search criteria. Indeed, this was the first topic ever posed on the sugar blog (Sugar Baby Wonders if She’s Asking for Too Much).

How many times do you let someone flake/change date at the last minute , before you write them off ?JennaBeth

What are your thoughts on Sugar Daddies requesting ‘sneak peeks’ from Sugar Babies?

Would you ever take your sugar to a family gathering? For the Holidays?

    georges: they always say there’s a lid for every pot. look around and you will find someone who thinks that what you are offering is a fantastic deal.

    heck ask on the current blog and several of us will line up :)

  2. Georges says:

    I am thinking of becoming a SD. I am not loaded, but quite comfortable and single. I travel a fair amount: skiing in winter, Europe in summer, and lots of other trips as well. I have always been with younger women, and I am a professional (architect and professor). I would be happy to spend $1,000/ mo or more for occasional good companionship. But I cannot afford $3,000 or more per month. Should I even get involved in this kind of thing?

    New blog everyone!!

  9. cleo says:

    Dee stuff like that always gets me in trouble. it makes me laugh so i assume the guy is kidding or full of snark or wit and then 90% of the time he’s so stupid.

    but the one who isn’t stupid? worth it.

  10. Yaz10 says:

    OC: Thank you!!!!! You are a 100 in my book! 😀 😀

    I will try to make it as fun as possible :-)

  11. Yaz10 says:

    I might need one if my coffee date doesn’t go too well….

    • OCSugarbaby says:

      Yaz, here is the thing…It can’t go badly. Keep a positive attitude and think of it as just a fun time to meet and talk about common topics. You already have some idea as to his interests from your e-chats. You are such a fun and upbeat person, it will be fun! Just take a deep breath and think about staying in the moment and not thinking ahead. Here is a big pre-date hug… < :) >

  12. Yaz10 says:

    LOL Dee! I am sure he is already beating himself up for whatever happened so lets not add anything else to that. I think what he needs his a hug. :-)

    Let’s all show NYGent some love! *Group hug* :-) :-) :-) :-)

  13. Just Dee in NC says:

    Y’all have got to love this line I saw in a profile on another SD/SB site: “If you’ll make me your sex toy, I’ll make you my princess.”

    I wrote him and will let you know what he says. Sometimes I’m too much of a smart-ass for my own good, and I could not pass up the opportunity to skewer him if he turns out to be a total idiot.

  14. Just Dee in NC says:

    NYGent, you’re a lawyer. How can you wimp out on anything? You should have had the wimpiness surgically removed the night before graduation.

  15. Yaz10 says:

    OC: Thanks a lot for the advice! :-)

  16. EastCoastFilly says:

    Just about to go to sleep and wanted to catch up first.

    NYGent!!! What are you about to do that you know we will all yell at you for??? LOL!

  17. Yaz10 says:

    Yeah I am meeting him around 11 am after his meetings so depending on how it goes ( He might see me and run away or vice versa 😀 ) I will definitely keep you guys posted sometimes in the afternoon. :-)

  18. TXSB says:

    It’s such a beautiful night……..I wish I could just go for a walk outside.

    Look forward to hearing details on the coffee date…. :)

  19. Yaz10 says:

    Yes lol we are very excited to finally meet each other so we’ll see if the chemistry IRL is there…

    • OCSugarbaby says:

      Yaz, have fun and remember he would be lucky to be your SD! But worst case scenario you find that IRL you have zero sparks, don’t count it as a dud date. I have made some fun contacts that way. Rock it!!!

  20. Yaz10 says:

    OC: Agreed! :-)

  21. Yaz10 says:

    NYGent Another disaster sb date? :-(

    • OCSugarbaby says:

      Sometimes it is hard to spill when you feel foolish. THAT is something we all understand. But NYGent will be fine. I am sure of that :)

  22. TexaSD says:

    NYgent- what are you wimping out on?

    Or if someone else wants to fill me in

  23. cleo says:

    Realistic: thanks.

    i think you both think that i need better body pics and that the middle one isn’t useful.

    ah thank you about my words, that is a very solid change and more in tune with the kind of woman i am. Thanks for that.
    why do i post and THEN see other people’s comments? even if i refresh?
    NYGent: i think that’s the ticket, some kind of candid body shot and leave 1/3 alone…

    what do you mean about the disaster ratio?

    how are you wimping out? i’m excellent at bouncing stuff off if you want to drop me a line :)

  24. TXSB says:

    *sigh* @ the wimping out….AGAIN! :(
    Good Night. :)

  25. NYGent says:

    Off to bed, nite all.

    I will not even reveal my latest strategem, it is just too embarrassing. All I will say is that after all the encouragement to “get tough” I am wimping out again . . .

  26. NYGent says:

    Cleo: so keep photo # 3 if you like and sub in something else for #2

  27. NYGent says:

    Realistic/TexSB: given that the disaster ratio runs about 75% non-disaster SBs/SDs have a huge leg up.

  28. cleo says:

    (that was sarcasm, one thing that photo is not is sexy)

  29. Taz says:

    Awwwwww….sooo sweet Realistic :)

  30. RealisticSD says:

    TXSB, you’re the only SB I met who had no real picture of herself up. I guess your eyelashes were just that hot! But you also caught my attention at the right time–I was looking for someone different than the disasters I had met.

  31. Taz says:

    NYGent – yes Anna has my addy :)

  32. TexaSD says:

    Anna- Good Night

  33. cleo says:

    NYGent: I was afraid of that, sometimes you love things but have to let them go.

    am tempted by a hilarious one where i’m in a hat and laughing my head off while peering into a tent. it’s VERY sexy

  34. RealisticSD says:

    But I agree with NYGent that you could get a better picture to show off your body.

  35. RealisticSD says:

    Well, Cleo, the third picture shows your body habitus, so I’d keep it.

    I didn’t get the middle picture till I read your profile, which BTW I really liked, except for the last paragraph, which I would change to, “As long as we like each other and share mutual chemistry, everything else will fall into place.” As written, the last paragraph just doesn’t flow with the rest of the profile.

  36. NYGent says:

    cleo: yes something with more character would be better than photo # 3. It’s ok, nothing wrong with it, but as I say it’s just sort of so – so

  37. Anna Molly says:

    Good Night All :)

  38. NYGent says:

    cleo: yes, that’s the one I saw. I stand by my comments.

  39. cleo says:

    Muse: thanks!
    NYGent: oh i didn’t think it risque, i meant i didn’t think it was useful really but i love it so i used it anyway. i thought something with more character might be better…

  40. Anna Molly says:

    You have mail NYGent :)

  41. TXSB says:

    “RealisticSD says:
    If I like her, it won’t take long for me to peel off her clothes,”

    Hehehehe…. :) Thank gawd my eyes were attractive enough to get you to write me! BTW, my internet is back up and working again finally!

  42. NYGent says:

    agree with realistic

  43. NYGent says:

    cleo: text is fine.

    but i don’t understand why you think your third photo is not suited to the site. It is not too risque. Nothing wrong with it, just a pose and prone position that doesn’t really convey much helpful info.

  44. RealisticSD says:

    But one SB I dated for some time had a studio bikini shot in her profile which just looked a little too professional for my taste.

    Ideally for me, there should be a face picture and a clothed face/body picture that leaves no question about their body habitus. If I like her, it won’t take long for me to peel off her clothes, so why ruin the surprise before we even meet?

  45. Muse says:

    cleo- you’re so pretty!

  46. cleo says:

    NYGent: i didn’t realise until i joined this site that i didn’t really have a decent body shot so a friend of mine and i have agreed to play with a camera in the next while and then i’ll do that.

    i love my third photo but i wondered if it suited this site.

    so you would leave my text alone (other than to fix that error?)

  47. NYGent says:

    Taz: trying to think who we know in common. Anna Molly? TexaSB? Photogirl? East Coast Filly?

  48. Anna Molly says:

    My pics are approved….yay!

  49. RealisticSD says:

    I’ve been OK with bathing suits in the past, so I guess semi-nude does not include bathing suits. Some pictures are just obscence.

  50. NYGent says:

    TexaSB: I think bathing suits are fine, limited to one photo.

  51. Taz says:

    NYGent – Hmmm…well I am not sure who you have spoken to on the blog (have their email address) but perhaps someone has both of ours to get us in touch…? I just don’t like broadcasting it to everyone I don’t ‘know’ as well 😛

  52. NYGent says:

    cleo: if i got the right profile (canada?): nicely written and interesting and saucy. first photo is good, clear face. second photo (feet?) is totally useless, get rid of it. third photo is so-so, I would replace with a full body/casual photo. just my opinion . . .

  53. TexaSD says:

    Realistic- Semi nude? does that mean a bathing suit?

  54. RealisticSD says:

    “you have to use a male profile to look at men and a female profile to look at women”: Not true. Preview your own profile and change the number to see same-sex profiles, and look at any profile from the opposite sex and change the number in the address bar to see opposite-sex profiles.

  55. cleo says:

    NYGent I actually link mine but it’s 406468 (i know i made a mistake when i said something about shows, so since i have to fix it now is the time for critiques)

    • OCSugarbaby says:

      Dee the blog is open to non SA memebers, so anyone can post and answer. I am so sorry your question got ignored or over looked. When the blog starts to hit the 900 mark it is too long to read all the old comments.
      I am sorry sugar I will keep a better eye out for your questions. :)

  56. NYGent says:

    cleo/taz i’m happy to provide honest opinions if you provide profile #s. too hard to go back thru all the blogs to find your #s though.

  57. cleo says:

    dee: you have to use a male profile to look at men and a female profile to look at women…

    what happens if you try to look at mine?

  58. RealisticSD says:

    Kitten26, tell the guy to get a second pay-as-you-go phone. But TXSB is right—the phone can’t be caught by his wife. I’ve had mine for over a year perhaps and not caught yet. I have some BS excuses just in case, but if it’s found, I’ll have a much harder time in the future.

    SweetlittleK, the guy wants to marry you, and naturally he puts forth his most attractive asset—his wealth—to attract you. It’s only natural for a man to use whatever means at his disposal to attract the mate he desires. In his case, he is telling you that, with him, you will be taken care of financially for the rest of your life. Your choice to take it or leave it.

    NYGent, I agree with your take on pictures. There should be a face shot and one to show the body clothed. Semi-nude shots will exclude a SB from my list.

  59. cleo says:

    Taz: it would be totally awesome.
    dee: people only seem to answer about half of what is posted around here…

  60. Just Dee in NC says:

    I did that, Cleo. Every time I get the same message: Profile unavailable.

    Thanks, Yaz.

  61. Yaz10 says:

    Also If it says “profile unavailable” then maybe the person has edited their profile so it is still pending approval?? or they are hiding it from search results?

  62. Taz says:

    cleo – I was thinking the same thing – would be nice to have an honest sd’s opinion 😀

  63. Yaz10 says:

    Dee!!!! I can see you! :-)

  64. cleo says:

    JustDeeinNC: if you click on your own profile and then look in the address bar of the browser you will see a url with a six digit number on the end.

    take the numbers people tell you to look at and swap it for that six digit number.

    if you want to look at an SD profile then click on any SD and do the same substitution

  65. Just Dee in NC says:

    Does any body see me at all? Or do non-premium members have a limited number of messages they’re allowed to post on the blogs? I’ve left several notes in the last 24 hours, with comments directed at specific persons or questions for the group in general, and other than Taz replying to a comment about naps, no one has responded to anything I’ve posted.

    I asked several hours ago how to view specific profiles. When I try, all I get is a message that says “profile unavailable.”

    Anybody? Hello?

  66. cleo says:

    NYGent: thank you for those profile comparisons, it makes me want to ask for your feedback on mine even though (based on the ones you post) i’m not entirely your type. :)
    anna molly: i cleared my cookies and reloaded and i still see jessica

  67. Yaz10 says:

    I see Jessica!

  68. Anna Molly says:

    Thanks :)

  69. Taz says:

    nice pic btw 😀

  70. Taz says:

    nope i see you now :) for the last hour or so it has changed for me…

  71. Anna Molly says:

    It has to be a cookies thing…

  72. cleo says:

    Anna Molly i haven’t seen anything but jessica rabbit for you…

  73. Anna Molly says:

  74. NYGent says:

    back not “gack.”

  75. NYGent says:

    AM: now you are gack to jessica on my view.

  76. NYGent says:

    yaz point well taken. i doubt they are bloggers, and anyway once you post your profile on the site you sort of are fair game for viewing and comment. But I’m done with pointing out others’ profiles, good catch.

  77. Anna Molly says:

    Taz – Are you still seeing Jessica Rabbit?

  78. Taz says:

    Thanks for the entertainment NYGent :)

    Good evening Rudy – and everyone else!

  79. Rudy says:

    Hi everyone!

    NyGent, you are right about the photos; I had a friend take some photos of me and then I included some that were candid. I have noticed a lot of women on here post almost nude pics, but I don’t want to send a message that says “Escort”

    I hope everyone had a great day :)

  80. Yaz10 says:

    By the way NYGent you might get in trouble if you keep posting people’s profile numbers on here. Maybe they are reading the blog as we speak

  81. Anna Molly says:

    lol…I didn’t notice that.

  82. Yaz10 says:

    WOW I just realized that her marital status says separated…I wonder why lol Did her husband find out about the booty pic? 😉

  83. Anna Molly says:

    I’m beginning to wonder about the photos I took…lol

  84. Yaz10 says:

    Thanks NYGent :-) Pheww lol

  85. Yaz10 says:

    NYGent the first girl in the not so tastefully done profile is a dancer so I guess she is used to men staring at her ass..ets lmao Her profile does scream “pro” tho. The second one is just…..smh…

  86. Anna Molly says:

    Why? That’s all I can say.

  87. NYGent says:

    of course the 4 of the same person are a pro. Or a total fake.

  88. kitten26 says:

    Ugh ! the booty shots ! how would you even recognize them IRL ? hahaha

  89. NYGent says:

    Yaz: your self-camera is fine

  90. NYGent says:

    Here’s a couple of profile photo displays I think are very well done: 406XX and 378XXX

    and a couple not so much: 385XXX and 205XXX

    I think you can tell the diff.

  91. Yaz10 says:

    NYGent has spoken :-)

  92. Anna Molly says:

    It sure is quiet tonight :)

    hello NYGent :)

  93. NYGent says:

    to be clear on photos: there is nothing wrong with a professionally done, studio portrait shot. It doesn’t necessarily signal “pro.” If the text of profile is decidedly “non-pro” then a professionally done, tasteful photog shot is not going to raise any red flags. I would advise SBs who are serious to invest a little and go to their local photo studio and get a few nice head and body shots, tastefully clothed. It doesn’t cost that much. “Tastefully” doesn’t mean you can’t display a little excitement, but these incessant “mooning” shots you see from so many SBs are just a huge turnoff (at least for me). Ditto the “headless wonders.” A couple nice studio shots (one face, one body) plus a candid are very nice. There may be SBs who think they have to “bare all” on their profile, and maybe that’s true if they’re after a certain style of SD. But I doubt that’s what most of you are after . . .

    I also believe that profiles without at least one clearly shown face photo dramatically decrease your chance of getting contacted. There are undoubtedly plenty of SDs for whom other boldly advertised bodily parts are more important, but again is that who you want to attract?

  94. Anna Molly says:

    Yaz – Good luck with the coffee date :)

    Kitten – I agree with you :)

  95. Taz says:

    Good luck Yaz and have fun :)

  96. Yaz10 says:

    LOL Kitten I know right. But by resurfacing SD I mean: We talked a few months ago when I was on SA for a while but we never met. We had very conflicting schedules. I also left SA for a bit and rejoined not too long ago. He saw my profile and told me that he would love for us to finally meet since he would be in my area 2moro…We did have a lot in common and we used to talk on IM and on the phone often from what I remember. Oh well, the online attraction was there but what about IRL? Lol I guess coffee is a good idea in case there is no chemistry when we meet. If there is, then we can always go for lunch somewhere 😉

  97. kitten26 says:

    Anna — excuses , excuses , excuses. what a turd ! hahaha

  98. Anna Molly says:

    I have a pot, if you can call him that, that I haven’t heard from in at least a week and a half email me today and wants to get together with me next week. I gave him my cell number and he never called. I asked him if he still had it and he said no “my computer came down with a virus and I lost all of my info”. That’s odd because I’ve seen him online almost everyday since our last email….come on, give me a break.

  99. kitten26 says:

    I think a re-surfacing pot SD at least should at least get you dinner , youre worth more than coffee ! lol

  100. Yaz10 says:

    Hummm I have a pot who resurfaced out of nowhere and wants to have coffe with me 2moro….He will be in my area on business..

  101. SweetLittle_K says:

    Hello Cleo

    Yes he, on his end is seems so confident and genuine, me in the other hand I want some time for dealing with whatever issue I may have.

    I’m sound like a mess now LOL

  102. kitten26 says:

    Anna molly– yes , they use that full 24 hours to approve them! lol

  103. kitten26 says:

    Yaz- yes thats the outdoor one , the one I left up . I think it will be good when the retouched one gets approved so pot SDs can see the difference between re-touched and un-retouched .

    I perfer outdoor pics , I get red eye something horrible indoors ! lol

  104. Anna Molly says:

    Does it usually take forever to get photos approved?

  105. cleo says:

    sweetlittlek: maybe if you want to go the sd/sb route then you could just cash the cheque? i mean he wants to get to know you and he sent you 3 months of expenses, seems maybe like he’s going to take care of you either way. like to me that reads as though he’s already trying to pay you an allowance…

    am i missing something?

  106. SweetLittle_K says:

    OH! sorry for the typo , too many of them (:

  107. Yaz10 says:

    Hi Anna Molly! :-)

    Kitten: If it is the one of you against the wall that you left up then it is a 10 all the way! :-) I am sure the SDs would agree :-)
    I dont have any outdoors pics :-(

  108. SweetLittle_K says:

    Good evening all

    Hello and thank you so much for the comments Happy Lurker.

    I’m not sure what does the PH on you last line represent or stand for?

    I have no doubt of his good attention and kind heart, to me all the others.

    No he is not at all a collector and definitely not a player.

    I’m so appreciated what he had done and doing for me and I realized I may have chosen the wrong words on my last post. I want this to work out for the best but given my bad experienced with the pass relationship I’m afraid I may not be able to reach the point where we’re heading.

    On the ‘bad experienced’ I’m more than happy to tell, but here is just not the place for that. If you (or anyone) want to learn about it I’ll be more than happy to share, please provide the email.

    Now I’m considering hide my profile, I can only handle one at a time. Considering what he has done for me, he’s not and far from being my SD but……………….he is the one.

    Thank you

  109. kitten26 says:

    Awwww shucks ! ( blushing ) Thanks ! 😉

  110. Anna Molly says:

    Hello everybody! What did I miss? I could read the back posts, but I’m too lazy this evening :)

  111. Yaz10 says:

    Kitten: Nice! And by the way you are gorgeous :-)

  112. kitten26 says:

    Yaz — I do retro / rockabilly pin-up and promotional modeling as well as Im a stlyist for a photography studio .
    My current pic I left up ( one more is pending ) is actually un-retouched escept for the whites of my eyes and was taken outside with natural light , so no special lights eithers. The pending pic is retouched , whenever it shows up on there.

  113. Yaz10 says:

    NewSB: I like to use my middle name as my “fake name” lol it is easier for me to remember… 😉

  114. Yaz10 says:

    Kitten what kind of modeling do you do? I know some SDs put models/dancers/aspiring actresses all in the same basket as pros so yeah taking down the Black and White pics on your profile was a good idea! It would also be great to add one that hasnt been retouched ( or maybe just a little) or a close up face pic with your other modeling shots…

  115. Hi Sugars! interesting take on fake names today. I usually use my first initial until I am comfortable with names. A fake name could be fun…I always loved the name Sophie!

    Someone asked before whey the activity picks up days before or after your premium expires. That certainly seemed to be the case here. Chatting with a few new pots that seem to have a great grasp on mbr … yeah! Makes up for the one who wants a traditional rel with a fat life insurance policy in my name…I don’t even think I’ve seen that one in the blog!

  116. kitten26 says:

    TXSB — I agree with you , I actually do model and Im still afraid to do “booty” shots in modeling . “pros” and maybe “exotic” dancers are probably pretty comfortable with it though 😉

  117. kitten26 says:

    Soooooooooo glad I took down my b & w pics that didnt show my face . I dont want to be confused with girls like that. All color , showing full face from here on out ! :-)

  118. TXSB says:

    kitten & Yaz:
    Looking at the 4 profiles, the pics plus the description and the way it’s written….I’m willing to bet it really is the same 1 girl with 4 different profiles. And if she’s not a “pro”….then she’s doing a amazing job at coming across as one (heck how many non-pros have pics like that?!).

  119. kitten26 says:

    Yaz – maybe , just maybe ya think ? lol 😉

  120. Yaz10 says:

    Kitten I was able to see the profiles he was talking about. It does look like the same girl although she is not showing her face just her ass..ets
    😉 Maybe she is a pro? lol

  121. kitten26 says:

    Okay , I figured it out .

    Yes , they are def the same girl , all heads cut off, different outfits .
    Seems rather professional , call me crazy , lol

  122. Yaz10 says:

    NYGent said

    “I agree with Creme on the cell phone post. If done well they can be fine but so many of them look cheap and don’t really convey anything useful other than to prove you are who you seem to be, but that shouldn’t be an issue if the other 2 photos are not phony looking. It’s pretty easy to tell the diff between genuine photos and those of “pros.””

    So NYGent does my cell pic look cheap? 😉

  123. kitten26 says:

    NYGent —

    I typed in all of thiose and it says profile unavailable , what am I doing wrong ?

  124. Just Dee in NC says:

    Okay, how do you look at a specific profile? Or is that something only Premium members can do?

  125. TXSB says:

    LOL Cremebrulee! :)

    Thanks for the profiles…..it was definately fun looking at them.

    I agree with you the the “street needs to go both ways”. But unfortunately, the reality is that you can’t control other people’s actions. In the ideal world everyone would be honest and respectful with each other….but we all know that doesn’t happen. All you can do is control your own actions….and let the SDs deal with the consequences of their own actions. Personally, I’m a big believer in karma.

  126. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    NYGent – Now we know your “type.”

  127. kitten26 says:

    I wasnt aware I had to announce I was giving a fake name , pot SDs dont . thing is my email had my real name in it anyway , so if he actually looked at it he would have seen it . But I signed my emails another name . Ive NEVER blown up at a pot SD when he tells me his real name , and he never told me ahead of time that it wasnt . Im all for being fair , I just think the street needs to go both ways .

    Def not shaking his hand at a bar , calling him Daddy , LOL

  128. NYGent says:

    kitten: the guy was in the wrong to call you what he did and his reaction was inappropriate. I really doubt many SDs object to a SB using a fake name early on, in fact most savvy SDs totally expect it. Obviously this guy wasn’t savvy.

  129. NYGent says:

    Just for fun look at the following 4 SB profiles: 401XXX, 407XXX, 407XXX, 407XXX. Obviously the same person but slightly different though similar descriptions, ages, etc.

    Hope it’s none of you!

  130. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Kitten – Leave room for a little intrigue, mystique, and adventure. It’s actually quite fun to not know everything in advance… while still being prudent of course 😉

  131. TXSB says:

    Yes, the “old blind date approach” is what I used with the guy who didn’t give me his name or number. I knew the local restaurant we were meeting in and told him exactly where I’d be sitting and exactly what I’d be wearing.

  132. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Kitten – The incident you mention seems extreme. You were not at fault. As TXSB said, the risks are fairly minimal if present at all. If it’s really bothering you, threaten to call him Daddy. Then again, he might like that..

  133. TXSB says:

    In the situation where you got called that nasty name……did the guy know that the name you gave was a fake? Did you tell him something similar to “I’m not comfortable giving you my real name right now so you can call me X until we meet”.

  134. NYGent says:

    kitten: to clarify, I will usually give my real first name. also most profiles list a name and many people use that one for meet and greets. in other cases people email back and forth before meeting and that often has a name attached (real or not). In absence of any identifying info whatever can’t you resort to the old blind date approach: “I’ll be the guy with dark hair and granny glasses about 5’10” or the like?

  135. TXSB says:

    I met a potential SD once who said he wasn’t comfortable giving me his name…….so I just told him that I’ll call him Nathan until he gives me his name. Think about it this way……..have you ever had a guy buy you a drink at a bar or club? Or have you ever gone clubbing with your girlfriends and danced with a guy you met at the club? Well, what did you know about the guy in those situations? All this guy is doing is buying you a drink……..if things progress further, then you can request specifics.

  136. kitten26 says:

    Why do I get called a “lying , decpetive b***h ” if I give a fake name then ? I have privacy to protect too . But that doesnt seem to matter.

  137. kitten26 says:

    meant “guess”

  138. TXSB says:

    The whole not giving name is not a big deal IMO…..especially since he’s local so it’s not like you’re travelling to a different city to meet him. You have nothing to lose by meeting his at a public place for 1 drink. Now again, after that meeting, if he brings up an arrangement, then you can request his name. Depending on what he does for a living or what his family situation is….it’s doesn’t seem odd to me that he wants to take that extra step to protect his privacy with POTENTIAL SBs.

  139. kitten26 says:

    Then what do you call each other ?
    I just Im just naive , Im not comfortable knowing absolutly nothing about a person .

  140. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    NYGent – that’s pretty funny.

  141. kitten26 says:

    Im not talking about real name , Im talking about a name , period . He gave only one pic , that was far away , so i couldnt even pick him out in a crowd if I had to . So i literally have no idea between looks and name , who Im looking for . I know the phone thing was discussed — but this pot says hes not married , so why all the secrecy ?
    I gave a fake name once , and when I met the pot I told him my real name — he called my a lying, deceptive b***h , and left.
    So I started taking the 150% honest route

  142. NYGent says:

    creme you took the words out of my mouth . . .

  143. NYGent says:

    kitten: it is not unusual at all for a SD (or SB for that matter) not to give out their name on first meeting and even more common not to give a name in advance. I do not give my name until I am pretty comfortable with the person.

  144. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Kitten – It’s not that unusual to not be given a real name. I don’t give mine until much later in the process. The phone issue was addressed I believe.

  145. kitten26 says:

    this was a couple posts back , please someone give a little insight to this —

    Also , to everyone –

    Pot #3 is local so just wants to meet in person for drinks , however — not only will this one not give me a phone number , he wont even give me his name ! wtf ! there must be something in the water around here

  146. NYGent says:

    I agree with Creme on the cell phone post. If done well they can be fine but so many of them look cheap and don’t really convey anything useful other than to prove you are who you seem to be, but that shouldn’t be an issue if the other 2 photos are not phony looking. It’s pretty easy to tell the diff between genuine photos and those of “pros.”

  147. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    AM – A bit belated but.. good to see you stuck around.
    Yaz – Any time.

  148. Yaz10*399371* says:

    Ok!( I know…the lighting is horrible) I guess I will take another one outdoors then! Thanks CremeBrulee! :-)

  149. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Yaz – Cute pic. Give it another go with cam facing you, somwhere better-lit. You should be able to capture the same body portion, in a more.. natural way?

  150. Yaz10*399371* says:

    Cremebrulee: Good tips! :-) My profile # is right next to my name so you can check out the pic if you want and let me know what you think..

  151. Yaz10 says:

    Hey RX8sb!!

  152. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    I see, I see.. why not have the camera facing you and snap the photo that way? Or have someone take it? Google “cell self portrait” for inspiration.. Couple of Flickr groups out there. Also, outdoor lighting conditions are much more friendly when using cell cams.

  153. RX8sb says:

    Well I am going to say hello and good bye.

    Not in the mood to really chat all that much. so going to check on profile and head on out.

  154. Yaz10 says:

    Cremebrulee: I know what you mean. The pic is kinda blurry and the lighting could have been better….I took it with my crackberry lol. I guess I am just experimenting..Will see if it gets me more or less profile views. I mean I was off to work yesterday and I thought hey why not take a cell pic and put it on my profile, it is a recent and real as it gets lol…

  155. always2sweet says:

    ha ha Creme dont you just love when a good punchline comes right down the middle like that lol

  156. kitten26 says:

    Also , to everyone —

    Pot #3 is local so just wants to meet in person for drinks , however — not only will this one not give me a phone number , he wont even give me his name ! wtf ! there must be something in the water around here !

  157. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Yaz10 – Hmm.. just an opinion. But I do think that cell cams can/do take some cruel shots sometimes, and are unfair representations.

  158. Anna Molly says:

    Cremebrulee: The pic I have on my profile is the “all too common in bathroom facing mirror with arm extended in weird ways shot”

    I have one of those :)

  159. Yaz10 says:

  160. Yaz10 says:

    Cremebrulee: The pic I have on my profile is the “all too common in bathroom facing mirror with arm extended in weird ways shot” :-(

    I mean what can be more real than a cell phone pic? No enhancement, no photohop, no nothing….Now I am starting to think that it was a bad idea.. :-(

  161. RX8sb says:

    RX8SB- Ok we are up to 5 moms now, How is Vegas? I still miss it…

    Same ol. Nothing has changed really, Though It is finally starting to feel like fall.

  162. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Oh and by “enhancements” I mean light adjustments, color balance, etc. 😉

  163. always2sweet says:

    and I should add that I dont want “enhancements”, I want some work done lol, but definately not trying to enhance anything ha ha

  164. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Some non-SD thoughts.. Cell self-portraits have made it to reputable galleries. It depends on the camera’s capabilities and what features are available to you. Photos can end up tacky or brilliant! So in essence the device is irrelevant. If you think it looks good and the photo represents you well, you should post it. There are some neat guides online geared toward cell-tography and some free web-based software if you need some enhancements. However, DO avoid the all too common in bathroom facing mirror with arm extended in weird ways shots!

  165. kitten26 says:

    TXSB and Muse —

    I agree, I think I’ll ask for a crackberry if we continue to go forward . things happen at the last min with sds all the time , and I dont like to be left hanging.

    As far as traveling , he just got back to me and said he’ll be sending a plane to get me anyway , so airports arent an issue for meeting in ( I’ll believe that one when I see it ) Were meeting thurs for dinner and he SWEARS he does what he’ll say . Well, first show of faith — here we go .

  166. Coco says:

    Hello Sugarfam….

    How’s everyone today?…..

  167. always2sweet says:

    Taz, that may have been me, asking if SD’s expected their SB’s to be the epitome of perfection, or might an SD help you get there? To paraphrase my original question. If it was even me you were talking to lol

  168. Muse says:

    Kitten26 – I agree with TXSB. I personally would not feel comfortable going into an arrangement where I have no means of contacting someone. If he is willing to get a second phone or provide you with a smartphone so you can receive and send email instantly, it might work, but without the ability to contact one another, too many mishaps can happen.

    That said, if he does provide you with a smartphone, be aware that the monthly bill will probably be about $40-50 more per month than your current plan and that you are willing and able to cover the expense when your arrangement ends.

  169. Taz says:

    Hmmmm….there was a sb on here that was looking for a sd who would be willing to provide her with ‘enhancements’…if you are reading this let me know – I may have some info for you :)

  170. Yaz10 says:

    You are right Taz. SDs come out of hiding pretty please! :-) What do you guys think of cell phone pics on a SB profile? Yay or Nay? lol

  171. Taz says:

    Yaz – I think cell phone pics can go either way. I don’t have those on my profile but sometimes wonder if I should – at least they ‘look’ real. Would be great for sd’s to chime in :)

  172. TXSB says:

    My SD is married and has a 2nd phone just for his SBs. He’s very careful with it and it’s usually turned off when he’s at home. But I can see why a married SD would not want to take a chance with a 2nd “secret” phone…especially if he knows his wife is nosy. All it takes is just 1 time for him to leave the 2nd phone somewhere or forgetting to turn it off….and if his wife discovers it…that 1 single mistake has the potential to cost him dearly.

    My suggestion is that you meet him for dinner or whatever to see how things go. I’m assuming he has a blackberry or a phone that allows him to receive e-mails or IM’s instantly. *IF* he does offer you an arrangement, you can let him know that before you proceed with any arrangement, he needs to get you a phone that will allow you to receive e-mails or IM’s instantly. That way, if you need to get in touch with him for whatever reason, you can e-mail/IM him or he can do the same….and both of you will receive the e-mail/IM instantly. He also does not need to share his phone # with you with this solution.

  173. Yaz10 says:

    Hey Anna :-)

  174. Yaz10 says:

    I see everyone is updating their profile a little bit. I added a couple of recent pictures on mine ( one in my halloween costume and one cell phone pic I took yesterday) :-)

    Although, I have browsed many SBs profile before and I haven’t seen any of them putting up cell phone pics on their profile….so should I remove mine?

  175. Anna Molly says:

    Hey Yaz :)

  176. Yaz10 says:

    Afternoon all :-)

  177. Anna Molly says:

    I wouldn’t feel comfortable meeting a guy without a way to get in touch with him. That’s just me though :)

  178. Just Dee in NC says:

    Kitten, there are all kinds of cell phones available that don’t cost a lot to purchase, and don’t carry a monthly cost. He can buy a Tracphone, Go Phone, Jitterbug – Wal Mart sells them, office supply stores sell them, electronics stores sell them. Or they can be bought online from places like Amazon.com.

    The way these phones work is that the buyer purchases a packet of minutes. When the phone is used for voice calls or text messaging, minutes are subtracted from the total you own. When your total gets back to zero, it’s time to buy another packet of minutes. These minutes can be bought in stores or online.

    There are no contracts with these phones, so there are no bills coming to anyone’s home. If he’s careful about how and where he purchases his phone and his minutes, it can all be done in cash.

    There’s no excuse at all for him to NOT find a way to get one of these phones so that you are able to contact him when you’re traveling to see him.

  179. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Kitten – In the absence of crackberries, I would insist on a number (google voice, or otherwise).

  180. Happy Lurker says:

    Hi SweetlittleK,
    No in my opinion you are not off topic.
    Have read your story several times and tried to figure out what kind of person HE is. This is very important.
    You do not want to scare him off by stories of SD/SB.
    He looks like a genuine honest guy and he likes and respects you and his heart goes out to you, knowing how bad your situation is now that you are out of a job.
    He is not a picture collector or a test drive pilot.
    He is just kind to you.
    Why not respect him the way he is ?!
    Just enjoy the friendhip he offers and the emotional support.
    It does you a world of good.
    If you want to turn him away from you, start the conversation of SD/SB.
    If you wish to keep a cherished friend, admire him for the what he is.
    You are so fortunate.
    Often from the tone of het conversation here, I conclude that girls have never met a KIND person in their lives. That is so sad !
    It is my conviction that you have.
    Cherish his friendship and enjoy it.
    It all boils down to the “pleasure of your company”
    Clearly he enjoys the pleasure of yours.
    Why spoil it ?!
    Even you might turn into and HP !

  181. kitten26 says:

    East coast filly-

    I dont have an iphone or blackberry :-( I have a netbook it looks like I’ll have to carry around in my purse . Oh , and no doubt — I would never travel on my own dime to meet somone who wont even give a number .

    Anna- I still get Jessica

  182. EastCoastFilly says:

    kitten, do you have a blackberry or iPhone? I usually have someones # but it has happened where we just forget. Last time that happened I emailed the guy to let him know I was stuck in traffic (I also called the restaurant) but he did get the email. If you don’t have either then let him know that you need to be in contact in case of emergency. If he insists on not giving it to you then make sure all your travel expenses are paid by him so if you get there and hes not there, you get right back on the plane and go home, lol

  183. Anna Molly says:

    Hey NYGent :)

  184. Anna Molly says:

    Maybe you could put a bug in his ear about getting a trac phone
    That way he won’t be using his phone. :)

  185. NYGent says:

    AM: your avatar is definitely showing up as you now, not jessica. not sure why others see the old one

  186. kitten26 says:

    Margo – his loss then , he has no idea what hes missing ! hahaha

  187. kitten26 says:

    Hey , I got a question for everyone regarding a pot SD —

    Hes married ( fine ) and were supposed to meet for dinner in 2 days , however I asked for his number so I could text him when I got to the resturant , or he could tell me if hes running late , etc . He wont give me his number . Even after meeting if we decide to go on with this , he said he cant use his phone . So given the majority of the time he said would be on trips . How can I be certain I’ll get off the plane and he’ll be there , or I’ll find him in the airport , etc, etc . Is there some other means of communication besides texting or calling that can make meeting up work ? We both cant carry our laptops around all the time .

    Any thoughts ?

  188. Margo says:

    Kitten – it sounds like he found someone else.

  189. Taz says:

    Obviously 😛

  190. Anna Molly says:

    Hey Red! Didn’t miss too much :)

  191. RedMaru says:

  195. kitten26 says:

    Hey! It’s me..yay! Not sure if I like it though, might change it back again :)

  202. SweetLittle_K says:

    Hello Anna Molly

    thank you :)

    Turning someone in real life, wanting a traditional relationship into an SD is a tough thing, if there a chance.

  203. Anna Molly says:

    Poo, where is my avatar! wher is it?! lol

  204. Anna Molly says:

    Muse ~ I’m so glad I’m not the only Lioness on the blog…lol

    SweetLittle_K ~ Wow, that’s a tough one. I really don’t have an answer for you, sorry. I would say that the SD’s should chime in on this one :)

  205. Muse says:

    cleo- Thanks. I’ll pass that along to her.

    Anna – ohmygod! Me too. I heart Joe Pa!!

    James- that was so beautifully written that I read it twice for the sheer pleasure of reading it.

    Dee- I agree with your daughter. I am, and have always been, in love with my naptimes.

  206. SweetLittle_K says:

    Hello all

    I’m new to the sugarland and need some advices please;

    Here some background

    I was working and making a good living, a home, fully paid brand new car and all. The situation is different now since I got laid off, thank to the recession. I know this person who could be referring as the pot; he’s my former employer’s friend. A well to do with huge heart (adopted many children), he likes to help and takes pride in other’s success. Back then I didn’t give much thought of the sugar world and never think it’s something I’ll be doing. Sorry but it’s all in good attention saying this. sorry if one would find it’s offending.

    He knew my situation and offered a three months worth of living expensive (which I refused but the fund was send to me anyway, I never cash it and try to find the way to send it back) while we’re working on the relationship. That’s very generous of him and no we have never even a kiss or a huge. I’m very confused when he mentioned that he’s not looking for sexual relationship, or at least not until the married!??

    He’s looking for the traditional relationship and we have lots in common and amazing chemistry. It’s not a teenager day-dreaming either I’m in mid 30s or he is in his early 50s.

    I know I can be very happy with him but the problem is that I have not been in any relationship with men for age and don’t think I’m ready for this but rather want to have the SD/SB relationship at the beginning and go from there. My question is how to approach him with the idea without scaring him away and/or sending the wrong message….I’m all about money or worse? I have lots of respects for him and the reciprocal; he didn’t know that I’m on this site. Should I be in an open and tell him about this or should the ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ policy being in play?

    Thank you in advance for all the comments positive or negative.

    Sorry being out of topic

  207. Anna Molly says:

    Kitten ~ I hate it when they tell you they want to take you to a nice dinner or luch and the closer it gets to the date, some how, dinner is forgotten about and they offer you $350 to “frolic” with them instead….please.

  210. cleo says:

    kitten let us know when your profile is back up :)
    hey all, i noticed a mistake on my profile so i have to fix it up anyway, before i do, can those of you who are good at profiles make any suggestions you still have? i only want to change it once if i can manage it.

    also, do i mention any of the following?

    i like to watch/discuss hockey and tennis and understand football, am good at most sports i’ve tried, love the outdoors as much as a fine dining or lovely music experiences, dislike clubs (so loud…), can swing an axe, love to travel alone or in company, can cheer up angry people, say the nice things i think, like theatre/museums/ballet/jazz/blues/most music, live with a smile on my face??

    i don’t want to toot my own horn too much, or sound like i’m bragging, just really want to indicate that if you take me to a game i’ll actually enjoy it and that i’ve never met a situation i couldn’t handle…

    i know a need a better head shot, that one is old but i just don’t have a better one (which irks me because my face is prettier now.) is a full body shot better than the one on the floor in the white shirt (which is only a month old)? i want to have class but still be sexy (don’t we all *grin*)

    Congrats on your total revamp of your profile Anna!..seems to be a never-ending task 😛 I get bored with mine quickly and always looking to express myself better..

    You’re right. They either stand you up, become total freaks or just disappear all together :)

  213. kitten26 says:

  223. kitten26 says:

    Good afternoon all !

    So on the advice of some that I sounded too angry in my profile, I took out a few paragraphs and deleted the ALL CAPS , and fixed some grammer. . . . . No I just hope I dont get the flakes and time wasters I was trying to weed out .
    Still deciding which pics to change . I think the b&w were well done , but apparently they make me look like a pro , which Im NOT. maybe I’ll just take them all down .

  224. RedMaru says:

    Yeah I think its just us

  225. Taz says:

    Indeed! 😀

    Quiet on the blog today….

  229. Taz says:

    I’m back :) Decided to have a nap and I feel like a million dollars now!!

  230. Just Dee in NC says:

    Anna Molly, I was born in TN, am related to just about everybody in a particular northeast county, and lived in Memphis for 5 years in my late teens. I don’t follow football, but I know who Johnny Majors is. But I have to ask: what in the world do you like about the Thorn Birds miniseries? Richard Chamberlain as Father Ralph – the minute I first read the book, I knew there was no other actor who could be Father Ralph. But on the whole, I hated the miniseries. The book was so magnificent that the miniseries just fell flat.

    But I’m a purist. Movie or tv versions of books rarely come close to portraying the heart of the story. Give me the book, let me borrow Richard Chamberlain for my own private Father Ralph, and I’ll watch the movie inside my head as I read the book.

    James, that was a great post.

    Warm here in North Carolina, overcast with scattered sprinkling. Lovely, lovely, lovely day for November!

    And my mammogram is behind me for another year, which is always good.

    It’s been a busy morning here. I do believe a nap is calling my name.

    Oh well :)

  247. Anna Molly says:

    Good morning sugar world :)

    TexaSD ~ Have you ever shared you email on the blog? I thought that since you wanted to review my profile for me and give me a SD’s point of view I would e-mail my # to you. Of course it would be only fair if you reciprocate with yours as well :)

  248. Stina says:

    What about pictures with out your face?

  249. Elle says:

    His profile says Open Negotiable, as does mine.

  250. TXSB says:

    OK now I’m imagining you in that SWAT uniform….and I’m totally just blown away! I think for my own good, I’m going to stop asking any more details for tonight and calm myself down. :) Ummmm……oh and my sincere request for the profile # is still out there btw. :)

  251. Yaz10 says:

    James: Great post!! :-) Thanks a lot!

    Any other SD wants to give their opinion on that matter? :-) Come out of hiding please…

    Cleo: I know you are not a SD but your opinion was also appreciated. Thank you!

  252. TexaSD says:

    TXSB- I would say Athletic, No bulging muscles, but I am not over weight about 165, brown hair and i think hazel eyes, i think maybe a dimple or 2

  253. TXSB says:

    Wow….that was a very beautiful/classy response to the question. I had to read the 2nd paragraph like 3x!

  254. James says:

    The $64,000 question: why do men seek out sugar relationships? There’s probably no single answer. And, as the experiences of this little community suggest, a lot of the men who say they’re seeking SB’s aren’t even sure that they really are or don’t know what that means. I can speak only to my own experience and those of the women I’ve known over the past ten years.

    Men crave variety, and who can blame us? We’re programmed for it, and women are truly beautiful and fascinating in a thousand different ways. Men reach a certain point in their lives when they want to feel appreciated and respected, which for whatever reasons they all too often don’t get from their wives. Men fall into ruts in their careers where they can feel trapped by the roles they have assumed or been forced to assume. Men can reach a point when they say, it’s time for me to indulge myself a bit, to experience the things I’ve only dreamt about. To be able to escape for a brief while, with a lovely vibrant female who makes you feel special and appreciated, is a great reward and a satisfying pleasure. Football and fishing and hobbies really are no substitute for the fragrance of a woman or the pleasing touch of her smooth skin.

    But if you’re married with kids, the price of that escape can be too great: your first loyalty and duty is to your family, and if that does not deter you, divorce is emotionally, socially and financially painful. So to be able to escape and feel rejuvenated with someone who understands that it won’t necessarily lead anywhere, who accepts from the beginning that there are boundaries and limits, is like having your cake and eating it too. It’s valuable and worth something to you, hence the sugar. The feeling that your contributions, of time, money and advice, are making a meaningful difference in someone else’s life, while not limiting your life or your family’s, is another genuine satisfaction.

    Some men are happy to see escorts to fulfill at least some of these needs; some escorts are quite classy and sincere and there can be genuine friendships formed that way. But some men find the very idea of an escort unappealing, some are wired to want something more like a conventional relationship, and some find greater satisfaction in seeing someone regularly and developing an emotional attachment. But if that goes too far and becomes a conventional girlfriend relationship, their security and families are threatened. So the sugar relationship is the compromise: the great gray area in between, and it seems like everyone has a slightly different balance of things they’re looking for in that gray area.

  255. TXSB says:

    What about looks? Body type? Hair (color and type)? Eyes? Face shape? Any dimples? :)

  256. TexaSD says:

    TXSB- I like to go watch movies, I love history, I like antiquities and antiques. Car racing (Formula 1, SCCA) Motorcycle racing, Traveling to historical places, Foreign Affairs, Museums.

    Taz- then you would go look for the match lol

  257. TXSB says:

    OMG….u’r such a tease! :) Umm….ok, since u’r not going to share a pic…describe yourself. What about hobbies?

  258. Taz says:

    TexaSD – Lol..tyvm :)

    And ummmm..why not just copy and paste your profile 😉

  259. TexaSD says:

    TXSB- I also from time to time work as a Political consultant (election season only)

  260. TexaSD says:

    Taz- ok ok, you can be selective with that guy lol

  261. TXSB says:

    Forgot to ask, did this SD have a amount in his profile or does it say “open-negotiable”?

  262. TexaSD says:

    TXSB- about 5’10, my job is Research Analyst (political). Ok what else lol

  263. TXSB says:

    Do you know how often this SD wants to see you? And also, which state are you in? If you don’t have a specific amount you that you “need”…as in you’re just trying to pay off loans/start savings, then I would take those 2 things into account in deciding a $$ amount.

  264. Elle says:

    Hm. Thanks guys! I assumed that was it. The problem lies in the fact that I don’t know a specific number. This would be my first SD if this goes through.

  265. Taz says:

    Lmao – not picky – SELECTIVE! lol **shakes head**

  266. TexaSD says:

    Elle- Ditto what TXSB says

    Taz- ok now you can be picky lol

  267. TXSB says:

    I dunno…lol. Height, pic (although I think you wrote that you don’t have pics up), occupation…lol…..I already know your age, location, and marital status. I enjoy reading people’s profiles b/c it usually gives me a window into their personality (depending on how much detail they have in their profile). I have only seen 1 other SDs profile from the blog (other than RealisticSD of course) and am just always curious to see more. OK fine….at the end of the day, I’m just being nosy. :)

  268. TXSB says:

    Sounds like he’s asking you what amount you’re looking for in allowance. I’m assuming you want cash allowance each month for emergencies/savings right? Well, how much do you want? $1000/month? $2000/month? $3000/month? Even though you have told him that you need to pay off your loan or want to start a emergency fund, how’s he going to know what that means? So in terms of $$$, exactly how much do you want to receive from him monthly….that’s what he’s wondering.

  269. Taz says:

    Meh – just finished having a chat with the pot. I had the date with. Why oh why…250 each time we meet??? I KNOW I was very clear in stating what I was seeking…and he said he was wanting to try something new…any experienced SD’s out there that don’t want to waste a girl’s time???

  270. TexaSD says:

    TXSB-Like what kind of details?

  271. Elle says:

    Okay Sugars! I love asking questions! So I have another!

    I’ve been corresponding with a local man. Right off the bat he asked me what I was looking for. I responded and he wants to know what I require financially. Require? I don’t require anything. I’m really confused by all this.
    I would like to have an emergency net for traveling home in an emergency or if I need anything right away and have some savings to pay off my loans, but I already told him this.

  272. TXSB says:

    LOL….of course you laugh….you enjoy torturing us b/c you know we’re dying to know more details about you! :) Cool….I look forward to it.

  273. TexaSD says:

    Taz- Just keep your eyes open for both haha…

    TXSB- Lol, oh that always makes me laugh, ya I do go to Houston, Next time I head out there I will let you know

  274. TXSB says:

    Too bad I missed ya in Dallas…I’ll be heading there in a few weeks to see friends. Do you ever come to Htown?

  275. TXSB says:

    Gah…I really get annoyed by men who play games like that. If it were me, I would ask him to “define well deserved”. I would also tell him that if he’s expecting anything sexual at all (including kissing) while he’s deciding if I “deserve” his generosity, then he should move on to the next girl.

  276. cleo says:

    Muse i know that the three w’s and plastikwrap at the com place makes a xxs and really awesome clothing…

  277. TXSB says:

    The SD always pays/should pay costs related to travel (tickets, hotels, meals etc)

    LOL…yes, you did have a good explanation and I know the nature of your job doesn’t allow you to leave work unless it’s done. I know I’m very lucky w/ you in the sense that you always do have a valid reason for doing “stuff” and I’m grateful that you choose to share it with me….but I would never “demand” it. :) LOL….hehehe…..hopefully tomorrow your schedule will work out so I can help you de-stress…. 😉

    I completely agree with you regarding the reason as to why some men choose SBs. And I also agree that knowing that a SB/SD relationship can end at the drop of a hat makes it stronger in a odd way.

    All this talk about your profile has me curious again….like I said before…when you are comfy enough to share….e-mail me pretty please!!! :) Nah…the absence from the blog wasn’t vacation…it was a nightmare with my stupid internet connection. :( But on a bright note, SD did book our vacation for December so I’m SUPER excited about that. :) How’s u’r search going? Have you written anyone yet?

  278. cleo says:

    Yaz10 i am NOT a SD (all together now, big shocked gasp please) but the thing i see over and over on SD profiles is some variation of “don’t have time to date the traditional way.”

    i’m self-employed, i have control over my schedule in the sense that i work when i choose; i don’t in the sense that i work when my clients want to see me or i don’t work.

    men i’ve dated have been really irritating about my taking late clients or very early ones, as though my business was somehow spiting them. so i would guess that the nice thing about sb’s is that we are expecting that crazy schedule and volunteering to accommodate it.

    if you combine that with

    NYGent’s very sane comments about the spark inherent in an ephemeral relationship i think you have it.

    well that and that men tend to like variety and this way they can have it without getting divorced every couple of years

  279. Muse says:

    cleo- the 5’0″, 100 lb girl wears a size 00, XXS or shops in the kids section. I only know this because a good college friend of mine is almost exactly that size and poor thing has such trouble finding clothes that she likes. I’d feel bad for her if she weren’t constantly stuffing her face and never gaining a pound. 😉

    margo – I would ask him to define what he means by “well deserved” Something like that should be clarified immediately but frankly, it raises red flags for me.

  280. Yaz10 says:

    NYGent and RealisticSD thanks to the both of you for answering my question! :-)
    I was really wondering why accomplished men would go after SBs when they could just get a GF IRL and it is always interesting to hear what SDs have to say about it.

  281. Taz says:

    Hi Realistic nice to see you back :)

    TexaSD – hmmm not sure…but would like to know if I should keep my eye open for blue or orange 😉

  282. RealisticSD says:

    NYGent, I totally agree with your analysis of the SD/SB relationship. SBs are more willing to accept the SD as-is. Even if I were divorced, I’d look for SBs, as GFs and wives are just trouble. Plus, I would not want to sacrifice my independence and freedom by belonging to someone, essentially submitting myself to what I have come to see as slavery. The SD/SB relationship somehow puts two people on much more equal footing and the ease of ending things makes both work harder to avoid unnecessary and trivial conflict.

  283. Just Dee in NC says:

    Margo, I would ask him to clarify exactly what he means by “well-deserved.” He listed it as a qualification so it’s up to him to define it.

    But honestly, that choice of words raises red flags with me. If you’re looking for an arrangement that includes an allowance, you’re not likely to get it from this guy.

    Just my two cents.

  284. RealisticSD says:

    TXSB said, “I don’t get upset with him if/when he cancels our plans at the last moment b/c something at work came up (this happened just today actually!) or something came up with family. As his SB, I don’t ‘demand’ explanations for his behavior. I’m here for him when he has time for me….to make him relax and forget about his stress. Now if I was dating some IRL and my BF cancelled on me at the last moment….it better be accompanied by a GOOD explanation lol.”

    But in all fairness, I did have a GOOD explanation for cancelling today, and I even warned you on Friday that due to a one-day staffing change at work I might not be able to meet you today. But I can’t wait till the “make him relax and forget about his stress” part 😉

  285. Bunny NYC says:

    Hi all, have been taking a break from sugar dating since I’ve been really busy lately to even set up dates. Hence, haven’t been reading up on the blogs as much recently.

    NY Gent – I think the beauty in SD dating that you’re referring to can be summed up by the Japanese concept of “mono no aware” (a-wha-ray). The simple way to understand it is that something is beautiful because it is so ephemeral. But the undertones behind it are much deeper. It’s not just a classical Japanese term and idea, but one that permeates much of Japanese culture even to the present.

  286. Margo says:

    I’m talking to a new pot from another site. He said: “i can offer nice nights out, nice gifts, travel, and money if well deserved”.
    Not sure how to handle this “well deserved”. What would you answer?

  287. RealisticSD says:

    How many times do you let someone flake/change date at the last minute , before you write them off ? – JennaBeth

    It hasn’t happened to me, so I’m not sure. I’d say once, because two times is just too much.

    What are your thoughts on sugar daddies requesting ’sneek peaks’ from sugar babies?

    Never asked for one and never plan on it. Why ruin the surprise?

    Would you ever take your sugar to a family gathering? For the Holidays?

    If I was not married, I would. But it won’t work now. People I’m close to at work know about my SB, and the guys want to meet her (one did meet her and really liked her, saying “She’s the type of girl to fall in love with and marry”), but my female friends/employees don’t want to meet her.

  288. cleo says:

    TexaSD: 38 :)

    i think there is actually a mayoral election getting going that will culminate next fall; otherwise the next provincial election is in 2011 and federal is 2012. that said, i wouldn’t be surprised if that federal one happens earlier *smile*

    i like to find out about people, how they got where they are, what they want, care about, love, hate, would do if they were me, would do if they never had to work again. you know, what an autodidactic synthesist does when they meet someone new. also i’m always curious how useful businessmen would expand my business.

    more than a year? ouch… seriously. for that i would roast things even.
    Muse: i’m a medium on top (unless there are sleeves, then i need a large or the sleeves don’t fit… of course then the body is too big) and a large on the bottom… that’s fairly sane right? except i’m 5’11 and wear some muscle which makes me wonder: if i’m a medium? what the heck does the 5’0 girl who weighs 100lbs wear?

  289. RealisticSD says:

    Sorry everyone, I’ve been off the blog for about ten days now due to a combination of factors. First, I joined the blog out of frustration with the SBs I was meeting, and now that things are going smoothly and happily for me, I don’t have that crazy drive to incessantly visit the blog. Second, I decided that if I am going to devote as much of my free time as I can to my SB, I should devote much of the remaining free time to my kids, so I’ve tried to spend more time with them. Third, I was hooked for a few days on a really lame old computer game.

    Anyways, today I promised my SB that I’d look at the blog, but I ended up spending too much time booking our X-Mas trip. Mostly my time got wasted figuring out how to get the airline vacation package with first class seats, which for some reason it just would not let me do, saying that first class is not available, even though the first class seats are clearly available when I check. Anyways, I gave up, and will try to upgrade them later. But that having been said, last time I flew first class with an SB, I was rather disappointed, as the divider between the first class seats does not move up, so I couldn’t really cuddle with her as closely as I would have liked on our five hour flight. What problems, lol!

  290. Muse says:

    Thanks Taz.

    cleo- I know! It cracks me up too. I range from an XXS Petite (which makes me feel like I need to eat something) to a size 6. It can be really annoying when shopping because I never know what sizes to grab when I head to the dressing room.

    Kitten- if you’re choosing between losing weight off of an already petite frame or eating, I recommend eating. You’re more likely to have health problems from losing 5-10 pounds than from gaining them at your size.

    VC- just backtracking to the other topic but I’m a health nut too! I loved reading your comments (especially the diary ones) and got really excited about them. I don’t know nearly as much as you do but am enjoying looking up all the things you recommended. Thanks for that.

  291. TexaSD says:

    Cleo- How old are you? Toronto, ya if you will cook for me, I will be there as soon as there is an election, and let face it, in Canada thats been almost every year now lol. Picking my brain hmm, in what manner? Well honestly it could be longer than a year for home cooking, I really can’t remember…

  292. Coco says:

    Good night Sugar Fam….

  293. Margo says:

    NYGent – Marriage is for another purpose. You don’t raise children with your SB, and you don’t need to build a home for the family. So long term agreement is not necessary.

  294. cleo says:

    RedMaru: i just need to spend some money promoting myself but i can’t afford it… catch-22
    kitten: sizes have changed a lot, i was shocked a while back to fit into a ten at the gap, there is no way i should have. it’s quite odd, at jacob i’m a 30 and at h&m i’m lucky if the 36 fits. i wish they had more sane sizing. how am i a medium sometimes and an xl other times?

    anyway, when i was those measurements sizing was a little different than it is now, but yeah, that’s what an eight used to be!

    also re your profile? i think it’s really good but that you need to correct the spelling/grammar mistakes. some men will (maybe?) dismiss you as uneducated otherwise. i really like what you say but fix the vocab errors…
    TexaSD: well the thing is, most of the women here (i mean the blog) seem to find accomplished men super hot. i definitely do. i find that men who are not well off that are my age lack polish, life experience, and interesting conversation. money doesn’t make you interesting but it does give you the ability to become interesting and if you add a little drive it’s sexy as hell.

    thing is, as far as i can tell you are either my age or younger? and yet something about the level of accomplishment makes me want to pick your brain… so i guess it’s not so much age as hrm… life level?

    also? if you ever show up in toronto can i please cook you something? no home cooking for a year just hurts me to hear.
    Taz: my dad once told me “if you marry for money, you’ll earn it” and tragically i took him so seriously i only dated bums for years. if only he’d told me the corollary “if you marry without money you’ll pay for it!”
    NYGent: the thing is that it’s the nagging that kills it on BOTH sides. i went out with a guy for a year and the whole time i tried to get him to go to the doctor for something (he wouldn’t for anything and when he did go he didn’t ask about my concerns) and eventually you turn into this horrid nag because your partner won’t hear you.

    the thing with sb/sd dating is that it seems like people are paying more attention, working harder and generally trying to put their best foot forward.

    in some ways the loss of that is what kills conventional relationships …

    or, to put it another way; my parents have been married for more than forty years but when they got married the deal was that they would try it for six months and then get divorced… you know, unless they wanted to try another six months. i believe the lack of pressure is what allowed them to stay married.

  295. TexaSD says:

    Taz- Lol you think you found me again?

  296. NYGent says:

    Taz: I just assumed SBs wouldn’t necessarily want to be reminded about how fragile and evanescent the SB/SD inherently is. Most SBs on this blog seem to understand it, which is why so many of them recognize that it’s unwise to just quit their day job in reliance on an endless stream of allowance payments from SD. But again, the inherent fragility of the relationship is what IMO gives it its spark, at least for however long it lasts . . . And SBs/SDs are realistic enough (more than most) to understand that nothing lasts forever, in contrast with those rare couples (like my parents!) who lived to celebrate their 50+ years of marriage . . .

  297. Taz says:

    NYGent – I think it is very truthful :)

  298. Taz says:

    TexaSD – Ha maybe fifth!…still going…are you a premium member?

    LOVE your posts NYGent and Muse!!

    NYGent – why would sb’s not like this??

  299. NYGent says:

    margo: thank you. now i’m going to say something that SBs may not like to hear but which I think is true. The whole reason wives/girlfriends can get away with nagging, complaining so much is that they’ve “got you.” You can’t just call up or have lunch with a wife and tell her it’s over. I suppose you can do it with a long-time GF but it isn’t that easy. The whole beauty of the SB/SD relationship is that either party can call it off at the snap of a finger, just like that, with barely a recrimination (i exaggerate somewhat, of course there are still feelings on both sides to take into account, but you get my point). The point is that precisely because both parties know that the other can just leave at the drop of a hat, they are both on their best, non-fault finding behavior and just try to keep things cool and drama-free vis a vis each other without bloated expectations or trying to “change” their partner. So paradoxically, knowing that you can just sort of dump the other person without much explanation, harsh as that may sound, actually makes both of you more free, easy, and open with each other all of which makes the relationship better, fresher and more fulfilling.

  300. TexaSD says:

    Anna- Cool, I will let you know.

    Taz-Are you on your fourth wind now lol?

  301. Margo says:

    This is a brilliant post, NYGent.

  302. Muse says:

    NY Gent- That’s exactly why I love SD dating. I love spending good times with someone I like, but when we’re apart, I don’t want to spend 2 hours a day on the phone with them or having to account for my whereabouts at all times. I also am way too focused on accomplishing my goals to think about getting married/having babies right now, which is all my IRL boyfriends have been focused on. Instead of the headache, I get to be with someone a little bit older, a lot wiser, intelligent, charming and who can give me great advice and help me out a bit.

    Three cheers for SDs!

  303. NYGent says:

    Yaz/TexSB: it’s really not that hard to figure why guys would prefer to be SDs. Yes, marriage is a factor , but even for us single SDs there is (I submit) one overriding factor (and it’s consistent with the motivations of married SDs): Many if not most IRL girlfrieds/wives are “fault-finders.” They complain about this or that, criticize about this or that, are all over your case about this or that. Constantly. It can get to be relentless and humiliating at times. You can’t argue or fight back bec it just makes things matters worse. Who wouldn’t want a SB who is nothing but positive during the times you’re with her, who appreciates the help you give her, who doesn’t nag, criticize, ask you why you’re not doing more, accomplishing more, being better at _____? To be able to spoil and pamper a SB and have her truly appreciate it, without any backbiting, is almost priceless. Three cheers for SBs!

  304. Margo says:

    :) I’ve just got an answer from the younger guy who contacted me. I asked him what he was looking for. He wrote: “someone i can have fun with…i love older women
    what are u looking for?”
    And I reply that I am looking for an arrangement, and this is Seeking Arrangement website.

  305. Taz says:

    Hey NYGent – how is your evening?

  306. Anna Molly says:

    TexaSD ~ I’m near Albany NY
    Let me know when you’re headed my way and I’ll bake you some cookies.

  307. Taz says:

    TexaSD – I am a lifelong insomniac unfortunately. It’s not often I pass out lol…and no I don’t drink coffee or anything else caffeinated to stay awake..

  308. NYGent says:

    kitten: a couple reactions: those are great photos; the b &W’s look a tad professional which could signal the wrong thing, but the color photo redeems it. I might (stress might) consider subbing in another color face shot for one of the b & ws.

    As for content I know you’re trying hard to weed out the fakes and poseurs, but maybe it comes across just a little bit angry? I think you could accomplish what you want to and pull back just a tad on the aggressiveness (the tone is “don’t even think of bothering me buster unless you [fill in the blank]” Not a big deal, just my two cents worth.

  309. TexaSD says:

    Anna- Gee I have no Idea, but thanks. Where are you at, so if/when I am there you can cook for me lol.

    Taz- Ya, I needed it, I am surprised you haven’t passed out

  310. Muse says:

    Me too! I’m so bummed though. I was sick last week and didn’t get to see my SD and now that I’m finally better, he’s getting sick. :( 2 weeks without seeing one another is a long time.

  311. Taz says:

    Hi Muse – glad you are feeling better now :)

  312. Taz says:

  334. Taz says:

    Of course Cleo!! 337. zoomzoom says:

    I’ve been talking to a man from SA that wants me to fly to meet him. But, he hasn’t offered to buy the ticket. Who should pay?

  338. TexaSD says:

    RX8SB- Ok we are up to 5 moms now, How is Vegas? I still miss it…

    Cleo- I think I am understand a little on the mentoring aspect, maybe it has to do with the older people/younger women, I dunno really.

  339. TexaSD says:

    I think this is the first time I actually read the blog from the last message I left, LOL
    OC- My profile lol. Lets just say that, so far as of right now, those who are looking have not found it. Although like I have said before, there is at least 1 person in this blog that has seen it, although she does not know it yet. lol

  340. kitten26 says:

    Cleo — I cant believe 33-23-34 would make you a size 8 ! Maybe a 6 just cause youre very tall .Im thinking actually a 4 ,and thats very thin at 5’11” Everyones bone structure is different anyway . Im 5’5” and 34D-24-35 , and at the fitting the 8 swallowed me . But anyhoo.

  341. Just Dee in NC says:

    Okay, I’m going to throw in a story for everybody to giggle at. Gentlemen? I’d like your thoughts, too. It really ticked me off at first but the humor jumped out and smacked me in the face after 3 or 4 days and I’ve laughed ever since.

    This was on another site. Started emailing a local man who saw my profile. We emailed for several days, then moved to the smiley face IM and chatted nearly every day for 3 weeks or so. During these 3 weeks, he has seen more than one photo and he has watched half a dozen videos of me at a dance competition. So he knows what I look like. Short, curvy, moderately cute – and all the lumps and bumps under the dance skirt that became obvious every time my coach spun me.

    So after 3 weeks, when it’s obvious we get along and have similar sense of humor, etc., we’re talking about moving things to the next level. I know that about 6 weeks out, I have a long weekend home alone. He suggests that we go to the beach that weekend. He’s heavy into diving and fishing so he has a reason to go to the beach sans spouse, and it’s a solid cover story. And the idea is we’ll meet for lunch and then have the rest of the 6 weeks to spend time together off-line. Going to the beach was supposed to be the first time.

    Make sense so far? Taking things nice and slow, we’re both content with that, nobody’s in a rush.

    And we meet for lunch. He looks just like his pics. Nice looking guy, his looks fit his personality. But the conversation gets odd. Mentioning the beach trip elicited a sideways slide onto a new topic. Any teasing like we had done online was brushed off. When we finished lunch, we walked out of the restaurant and into the parking lot, and he starts walking faster and faster. Now, I’m 5’3″ and he’s 6’6″. I can’t match his strides. But here in the South, a man walks a woman to her car, sees her inside, and stands watching until she is safely on her way. Not this guy. He was practically jogging and didn’t even stop when I got to my car.

    Three hours later, things are slow where I temped this summer, so I get online and there he is. I thank him again for lunch and tell him that I really did enjoy it, and him, but that I couldn’t help but think that he had changed his mind. His response: “You look just like my sister. I’m going to have to think about this.”

    He’s seen pictures and videos. There’s NO WAY he wouldn’t have known ahead of time that I look like his sister.

    My answer was that if he needed to think it over that badly, that he was never going to be comfortable with me and let’s just drop it right here, right now.

    Am I right in thinking that he had some other reason, and that was the most tactful excuse he could think of? It was truly bizarre.

    Gentlemen? What do you think?

  342. cleo says:

    kitten: wow, size eight is plus size. i’m 5’11 and if i fit into a size eight (which i do not currently do) my measurements hit around 33-23-34 and that’s PLUS??????

    “Now if I was dating some IRL and my BF cancelled on me at the last moment….it better be accompanied by a GOOD explanation lol. ”

    LOL I know what you mean. And it better be a good one lol

    “Many of these men do not have the time or the interest for a GF. If they “date” someone IRL as opposed to getting a SB, the GF will probably get attached sooner or later and expect some type of “commitment”.

    I agree and disagree at the same time with that statement. Many of them DO have the interest for a GF but they usually don’t have time for a traditional relationship. I mean don’t you think that sometimes they wonder if the SBs would truly be with them if it wasn’t for the nice gifts or the nice allowance they provide? They are successful, yes, but they are also men that need to know that they are appreciated for who they truly are and not for the size of their bank accounts.
    Also, I have heard stories about some men falling in love with their SBs so it is not always the GF who gets attached and ask for a commitment.

    But thanks for your input TxSB :-) It is always appreciated! :-)

  344. lisa says:

    On the subject of shoes, I did find a cute pair of over the knee boots last week with a flat heel being that I can’t wear high heels because I have to walk and take the bus everywhere. They are very comfortable and slightly sexy and a nice break from the ballerina flats I wear most of the time.

  345. lisa says:

    Good evening everyone and thanks for the birthday greetings. Not quite the birthday I had planned. I was going to sleep late, spend the day at the mall with my parents while I did some shopping with my allowance but instead I ended up working and coming home to shower, change clothes and get to the mall to meet my family for dinner and had to get back before dark. Very tired now and still fighting getting sick. Still have slight headache so I’m going to take a hot bath, watch some tv, and have a nyquil nightcap. Will have to do the shopping on my day off.
    Have a good night everyone

  346. Beach_Girl*395953 says:

    James~ Shoes guy is not a SD, he’s from facebook!

  347. TXSB says:

    I’ve also worked in many “nice” restaurants and have met many of these men. I have a few IRL male friends who would meet that description too. Here are my thoughts as to why they look for a SB despite being a “great catch” IRL:

    1) A large # of SDs are married. And with an SB, they can make it very clear that they’re not leaving their family.
    2) Many of these men travel and work a lot….they simply don’t have the time to hit the bar scene or whatever hoping to find someone they click with.
    3) Many of these men do not have the time or the interest for a GF. If they “date” someone IRL as opposed to getting a SB, the GF will probably get attached sooner or later and expect some type of “commitment”.
    4) This is related to #3. Most SBs won’t ask their SD’s questions like “Why don’t you spend more time with me?” or “Where were you last night?”…lol. With an SB, the SD will not get demands that he “adjust” his schedule to spend more time with her, or drama when he’s travelling /working etc. The typical “issues” that arise when dating someone….doesn’t exist with a SB.

    From personal experience, my SD would be considered a great catch IRL. He’s good looking, young, highly educated, and has a great personality. But he’s married. I’m not his GF or mistress. I don’t have any delusions that he’ll leave his family for me. I don’t get upset with him if/when he cancels our plans at the last moment b/c something at work came up (this happened just today actually!) or something came up with family. As his SB, I don’t “demand” explanations for his behavior. I’m here for him when he has time for me….to make him relax and forget about his stress.

    Now if I was dating some IRL and my BF cancelled on me at the last moment….it better be accompanied by a GOOD explanation lol. :)

  348. TXSB says:

    Yikes @ at the story with your previous/new pot SBs’.

    I just got done reading the discussion on shoes and you drinking out of the heels….WOW. THANK YOU for that visual! :)

    a few new sb’s like TXSB get lucky and we can live vicariously through her eyes in the meantime”

    Awww….thank you Taz! Yes, I do believe I just really “lucky” with Realistic. Our “story” seems to be pretty unique. I honestly didn’t realize that it took people months and months to find someone until I started getting involved on the blog. I can’t even imagine the frustration. :(

    On a side note, I envy you girls who have all the designer stuff (especially shoes and handbags). The most “expensive” pair of shoes I own are a pair of Michael Kors sandals I bought last year at Macy’s for $120.

    Is today Lisa’s birthday? If so, Happy Birthday Lisa!!! :)

  349. kitten26 says:

    Margo –
    But those kind of men are the ones I dont want anyway , so Im just trying to save the guys reading my profile the time . before I put that , I had way too many guys just interested in email relationships, cyber-sex, phone sex , etc . So I was hoping it would weed those types out .

    And each addition was added after a guy said ” well you should say that in your profile ” and acted like I was withholding info from them , So i just decided the completely honest approach , throw it all out there and see what happens .

    Would just taking out the all caps make it seem a little nicer ?

  350. Yaz10 says:

    *would be*

  351. Yaz10 says:

    Completely off topic but I thought I should share….

    I have been looking at SDs profiles for a while now and I am shocked to see that a lot of them are very good looking professionals in their early 40s to late 50s and I don’t think that they would have any problem meeting women in real life. I was wondering at first why on earth would a good looking, polished and successful 45 year old come on SA to find an arrangement when he could have any woman he wants IRL and not have to pay allowances and stuff. After working for a while in the hospitality industry, I guess now I know why. A lot of these men are lonely, very lonely. All work and no fun…

    They work crazy hours, travel all the time and have very stressful jobs. I have seen many businessmen come and go where I work at and they were always traveling by themselves. They would sometimes come to me and ask me a few questions about the area and it would not be long before they start talking about their lives and their job ( I could clearly tell that they just needed someone to talk to…) I guess this is the reason why a SB is so important…Young or old, she provides what is sometimes missing in the life an extremely busy professional; fun.
    What do you guys think? It could be great if SDs could tell us why they think SBs are important to them..

    Ok, back to browsing more profiles…lol

  352. kitten26 says:

    TXSB – yeah turns out in lieu of the incredible shrinking sample sizes ( 10 years ago used to be 2-4 ) is now 00-0 . And 8-14 is plus and they are calling anything over 16 ” queen ” in some cases .

    So do I starve myself for my career to get to sample sizes ? or do I eat more to get to “plus” ? Im in the dreaded gray area where right now Im neither :-(

  353. Margo says:

    I think your profile should be changed because you mention there what kind of problems you have had before, and what men reading that shouldn’t do. And with big letters – DO NOT CONTACT ME. So they probably wouldn’t.

  354. TXSB says:

    Yes I know it was harsh and I do apologize if I offended you in any way.
    On a side note, really…size 8 is considered plus? I usually wear 0 or 1 but dang, even I don’t think 8 would be a “plus”.

  355. TXSB says:

    1. How many times do you let someone flake/change date at the last minute , before you write them off ? – JennaBeth

    2x. My SD cancelled our 1st meeting at the very last moment. I gave him a 2nd chance and things worked out. I think if someone needs to cancel the 1st time, then they should do everything possible to show up the 2nd time. If he cancels the 2nd time, he better be able to show me proof that that there are a very valid reason he couldn’t make it (ie. his grandmother died…or he broke his leg and was in the hospital getting a cast).

    2. What are your thoughts on sugar daddies requesting ’sneek peaks’ from sugar babies?

    I’m completely against “test drives” from potential SDs. I’m completely against sending semi-nude or nute or any type of sexual pictures (this includes web cams) to a potential SD. Now if a SD wants to “check me out” on our date…as in looking at my ass while I’m walking or trying to look down my shirt while I’m sitting or whatever…then it’s not different the men “checking out” women at a bar/club etc. I see nothing wrong with the latter.

    3. Would you ever take your sugar to a family gathering? For the Holidays?

  356. kitten26 says:

    TXSB – wow , it is a litle harsh . and I think its hard for anyone to say what they would do in that situation till its happend to them . Also I added that since his comment made me rethink my worthiness in my job ( modeling) it may have been some maitenence I needed to do anyway . So really other peoples opinion of my looks actually does effect my job , in this crappy industry Im in . I did however get turned down for a swimwear catalog because I wasnt big ENOUGH ( had to be above size 8 , and they actually considered that plus , crazy ) I need a new job .

    James — thanks :-)
    I know Im very direct , that aspect Ive actually had pot SDs compliment me on. but Im not sure which part to take out , because I want to make sure Im getting my point accross and not leading anyone else on .

  357. James says:

    TXSB, thanks for clarifying about the “sneak peek” — I had no idea what that meant!

    Kitten, I looked at your profile and I gotta say, if a guy looks at your photos they won’t care whether you say you’re 28 or 38 or whatever. I mean that as a compliment. I do think that 29 is better from a search parameter point of view, and it’s a traditional and respectable fudge number (my mom has been 39 for the last 30 years). Your profile is very direct, maybe too much so? Perhaps there’s a way to make the “don’t waste my time” points in fewer words or more lightly, it is a bit off-putting, although everything you say is fair.

    Beach, that is such a kick about the shoe guy. I’m glad you’re going for it! I think you may have found your turf, so to speak …. lots of shoe guys out there!

    Best to all!

  358. TXSB says:

    I’m not Coco. I haven’t been on the blog at all for 4 days.

    Regarding the “mentor” part…I didn’t have “mentor” in my profile. But I did write that I was looking for someone who would help me become more polished. I guess if I was still in college, then I would look for someone to help me start my career etc. But for me, I was looking for someone who would take me to nice dinner, plays, concerts etc…..just to expand my “experience” and help me become more “polished”.

    Sorry to hear that guy was such a jerk to you (the guy who told you you looked older). I will probably get attacked for this *BUT* if a few negative comments from a man sent you to spend 2K on a laser facial..$$$ that you don’t have, then I think you really need to work on your self esteem. Many men out there think I’m gorgeous….and there are many who don’t give me a 2nd look. It’s one thing to go home and cry and be bummed about being rejected….it’s a whole another story to spend 2K b/c of it. I’m sorry if I seem harsh or rude b/c that’s not my intention. No matter what we say here on the blog…at the end of the day, you need to convince yourself that you’re beautiful and be proud of you face and body.

  359. TXSB says:

    OK, so I’m going to start reading the blog backwards so I can keep up with new stuff being posted. :)

    Regarding the 27 year old potential SD that contacted you…..I say give him a chance. If you’re not into him…that’s different. But if the ONLY reason right now you have is his age…well, I’m sure you wouldn’t want SDs to pass you up just b/c your 44 (without giving you a chance). You wouldn’t want someone to judge you b/c your age….don’t judge him b/c of him. He could end up being a flake….or he could end up surprising you….you never know. My SD is in his mid 30’s which is young compared to most SDs….and IIRC, TexaSD on the blog is in his late 20’s. :)

  360. TXSB says:

    Hi Everyone…
    Gawd I missed this blog! My internet was down for the past few days so haven’t been online at all. Looks like I have a whole new blog to catch up on!

    I can’t believe they totally took my post out of context! (I’m referring to my quote at the top of the blog).

    For the record, I was talking about me wearing mini skirts or low cut shirts or whatever when I made that comment about men taking “sneak peeks”. It had nothing to do with SDs. The comment had absolutely nothing to do with men who request “sneak peeks” before an arrangement or first date. I’m completely against “sneak peeks” when it comes to potential SDs (in terms of sending them semi nude/nude pics, or “test drives”).

  361. kitten26 says:

    cakepatty40– very true , I agree

    but then again , I had a 45 year-old last week wanting the same thing( pics , cyber sex , etc)

  362. kitten26 says:

    Taz– I think my profile is about as direct as they come , I dont know how anyone could misinterpret what I want , expect , am looking for , etc . I even apologize for being so direct . But I could be wrong, let me know. #57445

  363. cakepatty40 says:

    My guess is that the 27 year old won’t follow through. I have been contacted by much younger guy as well and they always turn into poof daddys or they want to IM right away and then usually ask for racy pictures or want to have IM sex

  364. Margo says:

    About age issues – I’ve just got an email from a pot SD who is 27. My profile says I am 44. I feel embarrassed to go out with guys who are significantly younger even in traditional dating, but here! To be a SB of someone who is much younger – what do you think about this? Please give me an advice.

  365. cleo says:

    taz: i was a very young 26 at the time. tipped me $150 on a bill of $100 and offered to take me to jamaica in style and then see what happened. was one of my only customers all day and was just this really awesome guy.

    ah well, would that we were smarter when young huh?

    i don’t know if i would let her in exactly, but try to let her gently see the advantage of having accomplished men around

  366. Taz says:

    kitten – maybe post your profile and get some advice? Maybe your wording is being misinterpreted?

    cleo – same here lol!!…young and naive 😛 My sister will be 20 soon…I am wondering if I should let her in…thinking I will give it a few more years 😛

  367. kitten26 says:

    JustDee/Happy Lurker: i have a talent for the sensual words, so i can do the erotic bits *g*

  369. Margo says:

    I\ve got a last minute cancellation today. He wants to reschedule the lunch for tomorrow. No way, I am busy.

  370. Margo says:

    Yaz10 – I agree, but want to add that it is very important how he talks about other women – his previous girlfriends and SBs. I met a lawyer for lunch, and he told me that his previous girlfriend had mental problems, and when he gave her some money to rent a parking place near her job, she still parked at the street for free and saved the money for something else. So I got clear understanding what to expect.

  371. kitten26 says:

    SF SD — Thanks :-) Im just hoping these bads experiences arent making me too jaded . I cant keep kissing frogs forever. If I would have met my past SD on this site , I would have given up already

  372. SF SD says:

    CBNY> Some bizarre eco-twist at play here!

    My theory is that it’s some combination of PCBs, sunspots, and being dropped on one’s head at birth.

    CBNY> kitten26 – Not at all intended to diminish the impact of your experience.

    Yes, and I should also have said something to this effect as well. It’s all too easy to say, “Hey geddoverit. The guy was a jerk.” But that hurt and the doubt are no less real.

  373. Yaz10 says:

    Hello all! :-)

    Yup, like I have said before millions of dollars can’t change a man. Pay close attention to how he treats waiters in a restaurant, how he talks about his family (especially his parents), and what he has to say about people who are still struggling to be financially independent and people who work for him.

    This is funny that some men think women over 30 have issues. In my case, I have met a few men who have told me that they try to stay away from women under 25. One man specifically told me that he believed that women under that age thought they were entitled to everything simply because they are hot and only a few of them could connect with a man on an intellectual level. I guess like OC said there is truly a lid for every pot. What one man calls trash, another man calls it a treasure. If he won’t date you because you are over 30 then his loss and if he wont give you a chance because you are under 25 that’s also his loss.

    Happy Bday Lisa :-) :-)

    Ok back to lurk mode…

    Hi JustDee,
    Love you suggestion about a novel and your call for a co-author.
    Could I please create some smoking hot parts ?
    Writing erotic stuff is so hilarious.
    It wil make your ears glow.
    As to the matter of age, so unimportant.
    For me it is the personality that counts, walking in sunshine.
    It might make me walking on the moon (Sting).
    When a gentleman asks a girl out, he foots the bill of course.
    Good manners and chivalry still count.
    Anna, shall we start a bit on German for Special Purposes ?
    Lesson one for SBs.
    “Darf ich Ihnen einladen für eine Probefahrt ?”
    May I invite you for a test drive ?
    Lesson two for SBs.
    Verb denoting a core SD/SB activity
    As Shakespeare has it “to perform the sinful act of lust”. Lol
    Hope it brings a smile to your face.

  377. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    Just Dee – I see potential for screenplay adaptation. I’m on board.

  378. Taz says:

    Kitten26 – I am 30 as well and honestly put 30 in my profile…if someone is going to ‘judge’ me on my age alone then he is not the type of sd that I want to be with anyway. Conversely – in searches – where it is just a matter of cutting off at an age (even though there may be ‘exceptions’ to the rule) I may very well be missing out…but everything for a reason :)

    Koi – sounds like is not worth your time. I had a pot like this and he was new – when I suggested going to the blog to have a better understanding – he took great offence and said his judgment was the only one he needed….then he said an arrangement is whatever he decides it to be – Mmmmhmmmm – he also asked after our first date if we could next time meet in a MOTEL! Needless to say – NEXT! I don’t think it is the culture..’where’ he is from so much, but rather ‘how’ he was raised.

    Kitten – that is HORRIBLE! I am sure you looked wonderful and he was just an ASS!!

    Cleo – I agree with you about how people treat those that ‘serve’ them. I have been in the restaurant/hospitality industry for a good portion of my life…it is very telling.

  379. Just Dee in NC says:

    CremeBrulee, that’s why it needs to be a novel – all of us can imagine getting even in every wicked, evil, and twisted way, and once it’s in a book, we can laugh all the way to the bank! But you’re very right that it does come back around to them. We may never get to see what happens, but it will happen eventually.

    RedMaru, about 10 years ago I caught up with a high school friend on Classmates.com and … well, your pot SD wanted you to travel on YOUR dime? My guy was an airline pilot and could fly for FREE, but wanted ME to fly to HIM.

    There’s more to that story – he turned out to be a major cheapskate and had NO backbone, among other things – but I have a doctor appointment across town in 15 minutes.

    I’ve learned that you cannot expect SDs to display more tact and class by virtue of being self-proclaimed Gents…

    Well said, CrèmeBruléeNY. It’s the Internet, after all, which suggests that it’s a search for princes among amphibians.

  382. kitten26 says:

    CrèmeBruléeNY– yeah , thats why I titled it “storytime ” but at the time , it crushed me . I just look at him as a sad and pathetic man .
    Also because its my job ( I honestly do model ) and a verbal blow like that also makes me second guess my job and worthiness of it . . . . .. . . . I would never plan anything vengeful , but I also cant wait for karma to get him.

  383. SF SD says:

    Will Captain’s Verses ruin every chance a man may have at romance if he doesn’t meet Neruda’s standards

    Well, New SB, I’m hoping that keeping my shoes shined (like they do in NY) might make up some of the deficit in the poetry department.

  384. RX8sb says:

    LOL that sounds like an awesome book. and for a rl plot, just yummy with the visuals.

  385. kitten26 says:

    Well that kinda my point — there wont be a next time , and that was the first time EVER ! so it kinda caught me off gaurd . Maybe he couldnt really see me with only one eye . . . . hmmm

  386. RedMaru says:

    kitten 26- sorry bout your run with that jerk. Obviously he can’t appreciate beauty inner and out when he sees it. Keep chin up and you will find your prince. But sometimes you gotta kiss a couple of FROGS
    Hugs 😀

  387. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    I’ve learned that you cannot expect SDs to display more tact and class by virtue of being self-proclaimed Gents. I have had plenty incidents that left me bewildered and furious. However, it’s truly a waste of time and energy to dwell and consider revengeful paybacks. What goes around almost always comes back around. There does come a time when these incidents are diminished to mere stories to recall and laugh about.

  388. RedMaru says:

    Hey Just Dee – I’ll help with research and typing 😀

  389. RedMaru says:

    Hi Koi 😀
    Sorry bout your saccarin date(not real sugar). He sounds like a real cheapskate like my first sugar date who also didn’t believe in allowances, spoiling, gifts etc. But believed very much in me coming to see him when he wanted on the Greyhound no less on my dime. And talking about the businesses he had and all his money.

    kitten –
    I share your frustration at how many on these sites are genuine sugar daddies who really are about spoiling a lady, mentoring someone at doing their part in a mutually beneficial relationship

  390. Just Dee in NC says:

    Kitten, men like that are trash, and you can’t take anything they say as factual, or important. Don’t spend your money on a laser peel next time some man says you look “older” ….. just remind yourself that HE is the one with self-esteem issues and there’s nothing wrong with YOU at all.

    Hearing about jerks like that makes me want to come up with a master plan for “Revenge of the Sugar Babies” to give these idiots their come-uppance.

    Hey, that would make a good novel. Anybody want to jump in and co-author? 😉

  391. RX8sb says:

    Ooo, sounds like that guy needs a serious beating, and I know of just the place that he needs to get ‘lost’ too.

  392. Just Dee in NC says:

    Koi, he’s Brit and he claims it’s his “culture” that says the woman splits the bill? Say what? Granted, I haven’t gone out with hundreds of Brit men, but the handful I have known over the last {cough cough} years have ALWAYS paid and never once asked me to split the bill.

    Gee, you ought to stay in touch just to see what kind of whoppers he’s going to tell you next.

  393. cleo says:

    Koi: that guy sounds just ick. when people are rude to waiters i tend to assume they’re rude to anyone they consider ‘beneath them’
    NYGent: i think when financial equals are dating then as the relationship progresses you start to go more dutch or alternating but i really do notice when a man asks me on a date (early on) and then splits the bill, i just assume he is equally generous in life, in bed and emotionally and pretty much write him off.

  394. kitten26 says:

    East coast filly —

    yeah , true , I had ONE guy say he was looking for someone older actually . But in most cases Ive found , the SD wants arm candy , and as long as she smiles and giggles theyre happy .

    Storytime — A few months ago I met a pot SD in Vegas ( I was there for work already) .He constantly bragged about how much he spoiled his past SBs , etc. So we met and he looks me up and down like hes buying a car. Then says I look older in person ( first time I EVER heard that ) . Well lets start with he was almost 20 years older than and did not tell me about his ( not lazy ) but closed eye that Im not even sure he could see out of. but yet somehow , I was the deceitful one !! He goes on the show me pics on his phone of ALL the 21 year olds he flies in to take shopping ! WTF why would I want to see that ? And then basically tells me , If I was younger , it doesnt matter how smart I was or what my personialy was — I would have gotten the same . But because Im 30 , I was worthless to him . So why did he meet me in the first place then ?After crying in the airport to my friends about how old I must look , I went home and spent 2k ( of $ I dont have )getting a laser facial, because the one-eyed douchebag crushed my ego so bad .

    More specifically women over 28!!! lol. Ridiculous, I know!

    Okay, now I’mm really leaving! Bye all!

  396. Koi says:

    British, lol.

  397. cleo says:

    RX8sb: (man the rx8 is hot, i totally feel you on that) no, i don’t mean i’m looking to be an apprentice just that that was kind of the way i was defining mentor. i’m getting that you all mean it slightly differently and the way y’all mean it appeals to me as well… would love someone who could help me figure out marketing or business expansion :)
    OCSugarbaby: nothing hotter than an accomplished man who is willing to share his knowledge… god brains and drive are sexy
    Koi: wow, women over 30 have issues they say? hilarious, i’m about a 1000 times more together than i was when i was in my 20’s (not a comment about women in their 20’s, a comment about ME in my 20’s :)

    but then generalizations, especially around here, seem really not to work at all :)

  398. Koi says:

    I gotta get ready for work, good luck to all! Hope your coming dates are better than mine was!! xoxoxo

  399. NYGent says:

    excuse my Latin, it’s “a fortiori” (“a given”)

  400. NYGent says:

    Koi: even IRL if a man asks a woman out (unless they are long-time friends who trade off on paying), it’s understood that he pays. As we lawyers say, on a SD date it’s “a foritori” that he pays.

  401. kitten26 says:

    Koi — what culture is he from ? Douchebag ? I would have reminded him what site he was on too.

  402. Koi says:

    I agree. The amount of money a man has doesn’t define him. I’ve had broke college boyfriends, too, but even if we just went out for pizza or whatever they could afford at the time (Olive Garden, lol) they always insisted on picking up the tab.

  403. Koi says:

    I should have known better when he was less than pleasant with the restaurant staff, complained about a minor flaw in the service, and left a 5% tip! Only after I told him that not tipping (unless totally called for) was completely unacceptable in the U.S.

  404. EastCoastFilly says:

    Koi, I’ve had piss poor boyfriends who almost never allowed me to pay for anything even if I made more money. A man is a man no matter were he comes from, this guys was a poor excuse for a man in any book.

  405. RX8sb says:

    What a cop out. That is such a load of bull.

    I am sorry you wasted your time with that one.

  406. Koi says:

    Hi East Coast!

    Yes, he didn’t bring any of this up until after dinner when we were on to drinks at the bar. I suppose me not reaching for the bill irked him!

  407. Koi says:

    Yes, it very much surprised me, but I thought I’d try and enlighten him a bit. He is new to Texas and the states in general, so he said it is just not his culture to foot the bill.

    I thought it was interesting that he didn’t mind talking about all the money he had, but at the same time didn’t want to spend it. When we were getting drinks, he said he doesn’t drink Champagne because it is too expensive. I’m like ?? I didn’t want to be mean, but he’s got to know that his behavior will not likely land him many dates, much less a SB!

  408. EastCoastFilly says:

    Koi…ugh, sorry that happened to you. I hope he ended up paying for dinner.

  409. EastCoastFilly says:

    Kitten, don’t worry about the age thing finding the right guy takes time. I am in my upper 30s and look like I’m around 30. I thought coming on here was going to be a joke for me but its been quite the opposite, men closer to 40-45 have emailed me surprisingly. They dont’ want to meet someone younger than 30 as they feel they have nothing in common with younger girls. So just hang in there. Even though I am a lot older than you I neither have kids, been married or have issues. I’ve run a successful business for many years. I like most of these men was too busy making money and minding my career to settle down. Life has thrown some curves and I need some help now :)

    Leave the 30 as I don’t think it will make a difference. But if you decide to put it back to 28 no biggie either. I’m not a stickler on the age thing, if someone lies by a few years, so what, I’m not marrying anyone. If I am attracted, thats all that matters. I’ve had a couple guys lie by almost 10 years!!! But I still found them really attractive.

  410. Koi says:

    you’re right it is a double standard. there are unfortunately many men and women who post very old pics! however, i’d rather meet a man who looked just like his pic, but rounded down on age than someone who looked nothing like their pic but was the correct age.

    as far as being called a fake. just don’t give out your real age if it’s not important. then no one get’s called a fake, and he gets to date a beautiful woman, who he may have missed the chance on, going by the only date women in their twenties standard =)

  411. kitten26 says:

    Koi —

    OMG , that one would have been better if he did flake ! what a waste of time ! Why do men who say they have money , feel like they are automaticaly entitled to date women 20 years or more younger than themselves ?! Especially when they want to split a tab ! Ive never felt a dinner date , but in that case I would have gone to the bathroom and never came back !

  412. RX8sb says:

    lol he is an ass. and when a man invites a lady out to dinner no matter where they met, the man pays.

    he is a cheap bastard and most likely is broke.

    IME those who try to get the bill split or to get out of paying, usually have no to little money.

  413. kitten26 says:

    Koi– youre right for some reason it does.

    But then thats “lying ” and then they accuse you of being “fake ”

    Even though its okay for them to post pics that are 10 years old , if we do anything slightly dishonest — its game over.

    Ive never been married , I have no children , no baggage . And yes, I look even younger than 28 , but I rather be honest and just not hear it from them . If being over 30 means you automatically must have issues , I better just get off this site now the , cause Im not the norm .

  414. RX8sb says:

    IT is up to you. As I have only gotten flakes, I wouldn’t know what works either. I put my real age, (I am 30 as well) even though when I go to an ‘adult’ place I still get carded (will get annoyed and love it while it lasts)

    As far as issues, age doesn’t play into it. It is the person’s character.

  415. Koi says:

    To Everyone else:

    I posted yesterday about my Saturday date with a potSD but it got lost somewhere!!

    I met a potSD from Austin. He went on and on about his thriving business etc, but said he is not into allowances, gift giving, etc. He even suggested that women should split the bill at dinner!!

    When I asked him if he knew what site he was on, he became defensive and said he is a Sugar Daddy, just not one that has to throw around money to get a date. However, he said he only dates beautiful women in their early to mid twenties! I explained to him that picking up the tab for a dinner date was not throwing around money, it was being a gentleman when asking a lady out on a date. Did not go over well, with him! He said he was plenty a gentleman!

    I just had to vent! Please give me your feedback on my disaster date, lol.

  416. RX8sb says:

    Hello BG..

    I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

  417. Koi says:

    Hey Kitten,

    I think you should stick to putting 28. From what the men I’ve met have told me, they think women over that age have “issues” and if you look a bit younger, I don’t think two years should make a difference. But for some reason it does.

  418. kitten26 says:

    This was quite a few posts ago , but —

    Gemini29 “Plus I’m tired of guys who are all talk but then don’t walk the walk. ” — Amen to that

    I literally have been in the email-trying -to-set-up-the-first-meeting-stage , with about 10 guys in the last month , and you know how many have actually come through in actually meeting — NONE . Had last minute cancelations, flakes , no-shows , and some just disappear after I send them the flight info ( that they asked me to find ) .

    Are there that many pot SDs out there that just use this site for entertainment and to collect pics ? Im getting super frustrated with all of this .

    Any words of encouragement ?

    Also I read about the whole age debate and I agree it does matter to men the age , not what we look like in alot of cases , NOT ALL. I used to put 28 , just so I would be weeded out in the under 30 only searchers . But then I figured if we ever met , Id end up telling them anyway ( Im 30) SO I just sucked it up and put 30 now . I dont think its changed the responses a whole lot .

    I meant to say as long as he’s not rampaging around the house like a dinosaur…lol

    too late, the moment he started walking LOL but at least he does the harder play outside.

    Well my son and I live with the grand parents. They are helping out a bit. and it is more stable environment for my son. So if they wind him up, they have to live with the consequences.

      TexaSD; I have MENTORING in my profile. It is a deal breaker with me. A strong man’s business acumen is HOT! I have a huge desire for being mentored in the business world. I want to get ahead in my career and love the careful directional advice that a SD can bring to the arrangment.
      Now as for your profile anonymity, my sugar sweet… I have narrowed it down to two profile’s …one is the tart sugar that had the marathon tongue and the other seems quite nice. With that said…

  430. RedMaru says:

    Hi Just Dee 😀
    You are as young as you feel 😀 Work it!

  431. Just Dee in NC says:

    Mom here, too. Only I’m on the far end of the age spectrum from most of you: My daughter is an adult, has a 3-year-old son, and is pregnant with a daughter who will be born in about 12 more weeks. I don’t look old enough to be a grandmother, and I don’t act old enough to be one either. :-)

    And as for rampaging like a dinosaur – JUST WAIT!! My daughter and her family went out of town this weekend to visit *my* parents. I have a feeling my grandson has just about run my dad to pieces.

    How lovely it is to be able to hand them back!

    Awww lol as long he’s rampage like dinosaurs do around the house

    My morning is pretty tame too for a Monday. IT’s virtually quite around the office everybodys counting down to Thanksgiving vacation.

  434. RX8sb says:

    😀 And the little monster is finally awake. And this morning he just has to watch Dinosaurs the movie. He points to the tv and growls. Like the dinosaurs do LOL.

    How is your morning RedMaru? Mine is rather tame today.

  435. RedMaru says:

    RX8sb – See I knew it he is a cutie!

  436. RX8sb says:

    If you are actually looking to be in an apprenticeship then I would suggest that you add that to your profile. As they are similar yet different, in application.

  437. RedMaru says:

    Hi cleo as a up and coming entreprenur myself I second the emotion! My problem is not the demand for my product (I have plenty of that) its the working capital to keep up with the demand. Thats why, like you I would like a mentor in my SD as well as a benefactor. For the past year, I have been funding my business by myself with what little I can save from my nine to five salary after paying bills to buy supplies pay for upkeep, etc. I would gladly use my allowance to build up working capital

  438. cleo says:

    RX8sb: interesting, that wasn’t the way i was defining mentor at all… i was using it strictly the way we use it in the pilates world… an older teacher (not necessarily your regular teacher) who helps and guides you along your chosen path. it’s a very apprentice style world i work in so that’s how i read mentor.

    your definition actually makes a lot more sense for what i think TexaSD is asking…

  439. RX8sb says:

    RedMaru… O I could go on and on with stories with him. LOL I am glad I did wait till I was older before I had him. Was able to settle my itchies and am now a better mother I think. I try to spoil him, but times are hard.

    He is adorable. Has blue with in blue eyes. and is already over 2′. And just starting to talk a bit. And adores playing with the dogs. Always wants to sit on them LOL.

    Cleo… I am 30 and I have in my profile that I am looking for a mentor. I would like to set up my own business, and in more world trade but specializing in horses and the like. But between helping everyone but myself, all of my plans have been put on hold.

    I have a few contacts but no capital to releize anything.

    I think that those who are more interested in making themselves more are the ones who are looking for mentorship, has less to do with age I think and more to do with wanting to improve their situation, and or get into business.

  440. cleo says:

    TexaSD: i think part of the attraction inherent in the traditional SD (as in wealthy and a lot older rather than like some of these guys who are younger than i am) is the wisdom and experience they bring to the table.

    i know that regardless of wealth men get more interesting in their forties and fifties as they mature and gain accomplishment. so, maybe the sb’s that are putting that on their profiles believe that there are only older SD’s and they want some of that experience and wisdom to rub off?

    me i’d be perfectly happy using SD allowance to build my business, i’m fairly aware of what i need to do but cash flow for marketing is limited… that said, i would probably want someone i could talk it over with you know?

    that said, i have a brain that loves to troubleshoot and work through politics and the like so i’m thinking it would be a fair trade since they could absolutely bounce their stuff off me… but i’m 38 and not 18 right? different needs maybe?

    am curious if the sb’s who put that on their profiles tend to be the younger ones?

    (also agree with the answers you got already btw)
    morning all!

  441. RedMaru says:

    Hey Rx8sb how are ya. You mentioned a 19 month son…I bet he’s a cutie 😀

    Sneak peeks – I’m not too comfortable with sneak peeks

    Would I ever take my SD to a family gathering – Depends on level of comfort for both of us, due to nature of relationship. If he’s okay with it and I’m okay with then its a possibility.

  456. Taz says:

  457. obviously a SD cannot possibly accommodate all of our needs and in my humble opinion, invest while your allowance lasts. just my two cents

  458. Taz says:

    Soooo mysterious huh TexaSD??…I am letting it rest. Lmao..I have said it before – but these SB’s get me all worked up!! If you ever want to share and come out from behind the curtain I am sure you will :)

  459. @Yaz10 – i admire your “teach a man how to fish” mentality. but some sugar babies don’t think of such anymore. so sad.

  460. TexaSD says:

    Yaz thanks

    Taz, lol

  461. Taz says:

    Yaz – you too! Chime in at any time :) Although I don’t know how much longer I will be up – laundry is almost done and my diva wakes up in about 3 hours lol…

    TexaSD – I don’t think I found you anymore lol…but it was a great profile…

  462. Yaz10 says:

    By the way..HUGE thanks to Stephan for fixing the time stamps! :-)

  463. Taz says:

    Well if they are fake – any red lights obviously…NEXT.

    I don’t like to spend ‘a lot’ of time emailing and such, but if there is distance you have to know there is something of substance between the two of you. I really don’t like talking on the phone but would make an exception in that case. Meeting face to face – rapport and chemistry as I mentioned above…how one carries themselves is very important as well :)

    As OC shared – with a bit of time, sometimes things start to filter through that weren’t completely honest…that is a definite deal breaker.

    Sometimes I think it is a total lack of communication and experience…

    Shall I keep going? I think I am putting myself to sleep 😛

  464. Yaz10 says:

  468. Taz says:

  469. Yaz10 says:

    Taz said
    “I am too selective I think I figure if I take my time now – it will be worth it in the end!”
    I agree! You shouldn’t rush into anything if you don’t feel it 100%.

  470. Taz says:

    Not at all Yaz – everyone has their own desires for an arrangement. The key is finding someone that fits :)

  471. Taz says:

    Have you looked at my profile before? B/c I saw nothing recent…

  472. Yaz10 says:

    I dont know but like I have said in earlier blogs I would hate to have to expect money from someone all the time. ( Maybe I am on the wrong site? lol) I want that person to show me how to make my own money and how and where to invest it… :-)

  473. Taz says:

    Yaz – I do agree with you as well :) I am in the process of changing careers and it would be really nice to have the extra insight and knowledge :) I have a few business ideas as well…but that does not mean I want anyone to do it for me by any means…

    TexaSd – I met one pot a few weeks ago – went well but looking for different things I suppose – a real gentleman – the chemistry was kinda blah…and one last week…he wants to meet again this week – but his first time being a sd and he said he was ok with an allowance, but has not yet brought anything up about the arrangement only that he wanted to see me this Tuesday again. He is very nice, but we will see where it goes…as I said earlier…I am too selective I think 😛 I figure if I take my time now – it will be worth it in the end!

  474. Yaz10 says:

    Lol TexasSD so far I haven’t met anyone yet so no mentoring yet..

  475. Yaz10 says:

    “Give someone a fish and you feed him for a day;
    Teach someone to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Sounds familiar? lol….

  476. TexaSD says:

    Ahh, I was thinking something like that Yaz. However I always had a lot of admiration for those who achieved their status and success by learning the process threw mistakes and determination. However having a person showing you the ropes I can see has its advantages. Meeting the right people, I will have to think more on that one. A lot of those right people in the Finance Industry don’t have jobs anymore, i hope you aren’t getting any mentoring from those people lol…

    Taz- did you search for it? or you found it from looking at your profile?

  477. Yaz10 says:

    Ok…back to lurk mode..lol

  478. Taz says:

    Hmmmm….methinks I **may** have found your profile 😀

    But no way to know for sure…lol

  479. TexaSD says:

    Today luckily nothing too Important, I will do the sleep thing later on too, I just have 1 meeting today err make that 2, and I think I am finish, or at least I hope I am. How many Pot SD’s have you met lately?

  480. Yaz10 says:

    Hey Taz! :-)

    TexasSD, I have also mentionned in my profile that I was looking for a mentor. The reason is pretty simple:
    If I am going to date someone much older than I am, then I want to make sure that I learn A LOT from that person.
    If that person is working in the finance or investment banking industry even better! I am an economics major and a mentor can give me valuable advice and help with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts… And if he can introduce me to the right people I would thank him forever lol
    For a college student, a SD is like a personal business mentor. He is someone who has “been there and done that” and has accrued valuable experience over the years. Some SDs enjoy spoiling their SB with material things but some take a lot of pride in knowing that they also helped that SB make wise career choices.

  481. Taz says:

    Anything exciting for your day??

  482. Taz says:

    They all passed out and the rest are lurkers :( Lol..at least we are keeping each other entertained for now..

    Hmmm…at some point a bit of sleep would be good..perhaps healthy. I have a bunch of running around to do actually. And of course, after tonight – laundry to put away…yay!

  483. TexaSD says:

    Photo i think did too, or she is really wrapped up in her work lol.

  484. TexaSD says:

    i think Yaz passed out.

    Taz what are your plans for later today?

  485. Taz says:

    Understood..I guess I use mentor pretty loosely in that case.

  486. Taz says:

    It is going…have had some advice from some awesome blog sb’s and putting into practice soon :)

  487. TexaSD says:

    Mentor to me is someone is more like a close teacher, sometimes I guess like a parent. So how goes the revamp?

  488. Taz says:

    Hey Yaz!!

  489. Taz says:

    Indeed I am lol…it seems we are the only ones awake here on the blog – what time is it in Texas?

    I don’t know if you put SM or SB to be honest – either way no big deal lol…

    Perhaps mentor is the wrong word for me lol…I am in the process of revamping my profile and it does not mention mentor at all…or won’t soon 😛 What does mentor mean to you??..and any other SD’s that want to answer lol…I see them lining up now!!

  490. TexaSD says:

    Well How are you Yaz

  491. TexaSD says:

    I think we are the only ones awake, or who aren’t to busy to blog lol

  492. Yaz10 says:

    I’m up. lol Getting some work done.

  493. TexaSD says:

    Taz Actually I was curious if it was a sugar momma, If I put sb sorry lol. Good to know I didn’t put you to sleep. On the mentor thing, I have notice that almost 60% of the profiles i have seen it is mentioned, which makes me wonder about some of the woman. However maybe my thought on a mentor and what they thinking of are different. Are you the only one awake at your place?

  494. Taz says:

    If anyone else wants to chime in and enlighten TexaSd?!?!

    Lol…we are being blog hogs 😛

  495. Taz says:

    Not sure…for me I would have to say it implies I am looking for someone more serious..someone that I can learn from…someone that I can talk to and have him appreciate my mind as well :)

  496. Taz says:

    No – I was doing laundry lmfao! At least I am productive in my sleepless nighttime hours lol

  497. Taz says:

    Why’d you want to know if it was a sb? You have me very confused **shakes head**

    It is nice here – not all igloos everywhere – we actually have modern luxuries like telephones, cable, running water, and flushing toilets 😀

    Seriously though – where I live is nice; Toronto has much more to do…the weather has been SPECTACULAR the last couple of days…but suspect it will be cold soon enough…:(

  498. TexaSD says:

    one thing* not 1 think

  499. TexaSD says:

    I have a question, Why is it a lot of the SB’s want a mentor, that is 1 think I can’t seem to understand. If someone could enlighten me

  500. TexaSD says:

    Taz- I think I bored you to sleep… lol

  501. TexaSD says:

    Taz-So how is your city in canada, I have never been there, nice place?

  502. Taz says:

    No it was an sb…

  503. TexaSD says:

    Taz- That would be sweet if it was lol, go take a look at let me know lol

  504. Taz says:

    Lol – am I missing something here?

  505. Taz says:

    Hmmm…didn’t look that close 😛

  506. TexaSD says:

    Taz-lol, was the chick a sugar momma?

  507. Taz says:

    and of course I would still want to know who you are :)

  508. Taz says:

    Lmfao – indeed…when I checked the only one that looked at mine since I last checked was a chick 😉 Are you not telling us something??!! Joking!

    Fun huh? Let the games begin! :)

    Lol…damn – I am tired but can’t sleep – perhaps delirious now lol

  509. TexaSD says:

    Taz- Lets say, If I saw it about 2 months ago, would you be searching for my profile?

  510. TexaSD says:

    Taz-well it could be fun, depends on how you look at it

  511. Taz says:

    maybe not…

  512. TexaSD says:

    Taz- possibly

  513. Taz says:

    Of course I am not helping btw lol – what fun would that be??

  514. Taz says:

    I suppose that means you have seen my profile now? Lmao…

  515. Taz says:

    I am chilling…I cleared my cookies and needed to sign in again 😛

  516. TexaSD says:

    Taz- are you searching now?

  517. TexaSD says:

    Taz– your not helping lol

  518. Taz says:

    Lmfao – of course he is

  519. photogirl says:

    and no ladies… I do not have a premium account so I do not know his profile. I think he is enjoying the curiousity it is building among you.

  520. TexaSD says:

    photo- really? hmm, let me check something

  521. photogirl says:

    Texas SD – One is enough for now… I always send more in emails 😉

  522. TexaSD says:

    always2sweet- where you from?

  523. TexaSD says:

    Photo- you only have 1 B&W photo… maybe you need another 😉

  524. photogirl says:

    Yes, I am here…. multi-tasking too late in the morning/evening

  525. Taz says:

    Next time any of you SB’s get insulted through an email or on a first date you can call him a der Schwanzlutscher or an Arschloch or just plain Arsch…lol.

    They will look at you like your nuts, but at least you’ll get some satisfaction out of it. Unless of course he knows German.

  554. TexaSD says:

  556. photogirl says:

  570. cleo says:

    NEOhioSB now i’m curious how you would translate that… so long as you aren’t calling me one. *grin* the only thing i know about the university of michigan is that my swim team (high school aged but in very serious training) kicked their swim team’s ass. it wasn’t even a fair fight…

    so like, does that give me bonus points in your book?

  571. TexaSD says:

  572. Beach_Girl*395953 says:

    OC~Glad to see it went well

  573. Anna Molly says:

  574. Anna Molly says:

    Japanese is hard! An ex of mine was Japanese/Italian, he tried to teach me, but never caught on.

    Hey, maybe I could tutor you….lol

  575. Taz says:

  587. TexaSD says:

    Photogirl- 2 teens and 1 is 17, what about the youngest?

    • OCSugarbaby says:

      Let’s hold off on the congrat’s just yet, it was just a first date. Even if he asked me to consider an arrangement, it is still wayyy to early to tell. I guess I will push on and see if he keeps himself as the front runner. This week was a drag, 4 viable pots and three turned out to be a big fat NO. Remember the pot that I had a strange feeling about, well he dropped the bomb on me on Friday that he does infact have a live in girlfriend! LOL So, not single! The truth usually comes out in the first week or so. I am just glad I found out early. THAT is why I mull things over and go super slow with moving forward. They will wait if they are genuine.

  588. Taz says:

    Hi Anna!! Ok – now I am just being glutinous since I am allowed to post!

  589. Taz says:

    And in proper order 😀 Yay!!

  590. TexaSD says:

    Taz- I am here lol

  591. Taz says:

    I can post often now – but no one else is here??

  592. Anna Molly says:

    Congrats OC! Hope it works out for you two :)

  593. Taz says:

    OC so freaking happy for you!!!

    Hey everyone! Are we still messed up?

  594. TexaSD says:

    Congrats Stephan and Mjhinkson, I think you guys fixed it.

  595. photogirl says:

    OC – I had no idea you were in that part of OC. My brother’s wedding was at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott…what a view! I so miss having the beach AND mountains in my backyard.

  596. TexaSD says:

    Looks like you about got it, Nice job

  597. cleo says:

    Stephan: like i posted that last comment at 10:49 est and i posted it after Coco commented at 9:48pm blog time and yet my comment apparently posted at 7:42 pm…

    and it is now 10:50est and i am pressing send

  598. Gemini29 says:

    helloooo sugars?

    anyone? *echo*

  599. Koi says:

    Congrats on the good date OC!!

  600. Beach_Girl*395953 says:

    Well Stephan my posts are posting at 8 30 pm and it’s 11:44 pm right now!

  601. Koi says:

    Hi everyone! Hope everyone has been well!

    Went out with a potSD who turned out to be a major “N-O”

    He said he doesn’t believe in allowances, gifts, etc. And that the woman should split the bill at dinner! When I asked him why he was on a sugar site, he said he is a sugardaddy, just not the kind that has to spend his money. However, he will only consider dating women in their early to mid twenties! Talk about delusional!

  602. TexaSD says:

    Whoa the time stamps are crazy now…

  603. Beach_Girl*395953 says:

    Hello sugars!!!

    OC~ woo hoo on the date,,, god i miss driving on the PCH

  604. TexaSD says:

    OC- Dana Point, I think I have been there, in San Diego?

  605. TexaSD says:

    Photo- I just got back in, wow everyone shows up when i leave for dinner, Went to a Chinese food place here in the Chinatown, called Fortune my friends wanted to try it out. All i can say not bad, not great, service was good though. So we are on 4 moms tonight, wow, I wonder what the number will get to before 12am central time lol.

  606. Taz says:

    Thank you for responding so quickly!! I think we are having withdrawls lol!

  607. stephan says:

    yuck the problem is still here – sorry guys!!!!!!!!!!

  608. stephan says:

    Thanks Villa, Cleo, Taz, Photogirl and OC (metaphors are a staple here lol) – I’ll let y’all know when it’s for sure that the problem is fixed, it’s being worked right now! 😀

  609. Taz says:

    Yes the times are all messed up since the time change depending on what time zone you are in….I am Est and it is saying I am posting at the wrong times sometimes…so weird…

    And sometimes more than ten mins. elapses and we are being told to slow down!

  610. VillaCypris says:

    Yes Stephan, I believe that is the problem…

  611. VillaCypris says:

    and now this post, also made at 928pm, has a time stamp of 1228am….

    i think when the clocks were turned back on 1 November, things got screwed up…

  612. VillaCypris says:

    For example…. I just posted at 928pm Central time, and it showed up with a time stamp of 1128pm…. and posted above Taz’s last post, showing a time stamp of 1216am, even though she posted it at 916pm Central time…

  613. stephan says:

    sugars hello! What’s going on? To my knowledge none of the blog settings/time stamps have been changed,

    but obviously something is wrong… what’s the issue guys? I’m not going anywhere until this is fixed sugar fam!

    if you’re on the blog and know what the problem is – call me — I am the blog moderator/author, my name is Stephan, and my number is 720-241-0100

  614. cleo says:

    OCSugarbaby that sounds like an awesome date, driving and a coast and good company and champagne. lovely lovely lovely.

    very glad for you, how many are you choosing from now?

  615. Taz says:

    Blog Gods!!?? Please help us???

    • OCSugarbaby says:

      Back from my Pot date! It was lovely. Very impressive first date. A late lunch over looking the water. Champagne (NYGent, no he did not drink out of my shoe, I had open toe Manolo’s, it would not work) and good food. Our conversation was so easy and fun, we have a lot in common. We then went for a drive along PCH and laughed and told stories. He even asked me to consider an arrangement with him before Lunch ended. LOL
      All in all a good date, I will mull this all over and let you know the end ing to this story or if it will have many chapters yet to be written. I was about to give up this week. Hmmm multi-millionair, single, handsome, sane and can make me laugh for hours. Oh did I mention he LOVES to shop?!

  616. NeOhio SB says:

    NYGent ~~ lol….Glad you answered that cleo question…i would not have been so kind in my words and reply.

    Not quite sure why these posts are wacko….Used to be able to view the last timestamp as a RE point…now i cant.

    Enough………Nite to all.

  617. stephan says:

    all: ok I think we are close to having it fixed — — thank YOU GUYS! I’ll let everyone know momentarily as soon as the problem is officially solved.

  618. Anna Molly says:

    Yes, I would say. I love the scene where Lucy poses as Lola, Jerry’s sis. Favorite line from the movie: “I guess it was easier for her to change her name than for her whole family to change theirs.” lol

    What do I get for the extra credit btw?..lol

  619. NYGent says:

    Anna Molly: right you are! and a vg movie, wouldn’t you say?

    and cleo: a maize and blue wolverine is a University of Michigan stalwart.

    Now this non-chrono blog is frustrating, will be back when it’s fixed

  620. Rachel 386002 says:

    Testing…. it is 10:49pm in CT right now….

  621. cleo says:

    Stephan: problems:
    1 – commenters are being told they are posting comments too soon, even after 10 or 20 minutes
    2 – comments are posting in the wrong order because the blog is confusing what time it is where we are with what time the blog thinks it is.

    that’s it i think

  622. Anna Molly says:

    Where is my extra credit?….lol

  623. Gemini29 says:

    I second the blog god invocation.

  624. stephan says:

    VillaCypris – so the problem is that the time stamps are mixed up now with the time zones? and the comments are posting out of order?

  625. stephan says:

    I can see the Date and time beneath the screen name of all who post a comment – but is that not appearing for the rest of you??

  626. VillaCypris says:

    hi all –

    stephan – it seems that the time stamps are off…. or they aren’t consistent over the times zones….

  627. stephan says:

    hello, the problem is that the blog date is wrong, is that agreed? I am going to work on this right now

  628. cleo says:

    Flo Rida: nice, wasn’t thirty just the best birthday ever?
    photogirl: today a man asked me if my friends (6 and 10 years my senior) were my parents. fortunately he didn’t do it in FRONT of them. it cracks me up :)

    really my profile is good? i wasn’t sure, i always think i use too many words to say not enough.
    NEOhioSB: what’s a “blue and maize wolverine” ?

  629. Taz says:

    Welcome Back James :)

  630. Taz says:

    Lisa – hope you feel better very very soon! Sweet dreams!!

    TexaSD – we are all having posting trouble I believe…

    NYGent – don’t go!! Continue with the blog madness!!!

  631. James says:

    Hey guys, checking in after a weekend visiting my kids’ college to see my daughter in her first play there.

    OC, I am seriously jealous, that is my idea of a day in heaven. Dana Point here I come!

    Taz, I think it’s like any audition situation, a good photo makes a good impression. It’s you that makes it real. I think most experienced guys can tell when the photo is _of_ a professional, whether or not it’s taken _by_ a professional.

    NYGent, I read the “compensated for my time” as a polite way to say they expect to be paid for the introductory date. I have known some women who have been burnt by people wasting their time and have adopted this policy to establish the good faith of the person they’re meeting. I think there are other newbies who, seeing or hearing of that policy, adopt it too because it seems like a good idea (for them) by shifting all the risk to the pot SD. Obviously, as an SD you can choose to accept that risk or not. I never have, and it’s inconsistent with my idea of the nature of the contemplated relationship, as someone else said earlier.

    The suggested topics in the blog this time puzzled me, I had never heard of a “sneak peek” before a first meeting and think I must have missed something.

    As for number of reschedules, 2, 3 if I’m really interested. After that, it becomes ridiculous and unlikely to go anywhere. If you really want to see someone, you will make it happen.

    ~~~~ Getting lost with all these Longhorns blogging.
    OC ~~ Hope your date went well….brings back lots of memories living in Laguna driving up PCH ( truly paradise). Now i drive on all these pothole roads in O-H-I-O. Somethings just not the same. But then again…the Big 10 rocks…college football in Cali just doesn’t cut it for me.
    Good nite to all…………
  633. Coco says:
    TexaSD ~ As long as it works for both of you, everything else should fall into place…goodluck on that!
  634. TexaSD says:
    Coco- Maybe if I can find the time I will contact her then, hopefully for me, she will be online here. Although I don’t know about the whole being married thing yet… But I will keep looking in cities that I go to, or Keep looking in my area
  635. Coco says:
    texaSD ~ I bet if she gives you a good reason to visit her, then that should entice you to go.
  636. TexaSD says:
    Coco- Its a lot easier for me to go to Atlanta, Or LA or Vegas, or NYC etc, because i will work there, and If a SB lives in a city that I don’t have business in, I don’t Know when I would see her
  637. Coco says:
    TexaSD ~ in other words, are you trying to find a reason other than just to see her?
  638. TexaSD says:
    ohh she is married, sometimes I really need to read the profiles completely lol, I dunno what to do
  639. TexaSD says:
    OK, i am seriously thinking of contacting this girl, but I don’t have a reason to go to her city, other than her :(
  640. Coco says:
    TexaSD…I don’t seem to post too quickly but i keep on getting that msg…
  641. TexaSD says:
    Lisa- Ok lisa, take care
    Is anyone getting “your posting comments too quickly”?
  642. Coco says:
    Goodnight Lisa….
  643. lisa says:
    Have a good night everyone. I think the Nyquil is kicking in. Flu keeps trying to get me.
  644. lisa says:
    I guess it does work Taz, I too used to be a pillar of virtue, I didn’t even date till I was 19. Teacher’s pet, etc.
    I’m still alive because I am locked in before dark, I never even stand on my porch after dark.
  645. Taz says:
    Not everyone Lisa – you are still alive 😉
    Wait for the get together until I enroll my daughter in Lisa’s parents child rearing program 😀 LMAO!!
  646. lisa says:
    Yes another location, during the daylight, I’m under lockdown at dark
  647. TexaSD says:
    Lisa, hmm, on second thought… Maybe at another location
  648. lisa says:
    Do you live in a house or apartment? I live in those ugly apartments by gessner and westview, where everyone gets killed, lol
  649. lisa says:
    party at my apartment? Bring a weapon
  650. Coco says:
    Lisa ~ Oh yes they ( Metro Nat. ) do….am just a block away from Kempwood. May be we should meet sometime and have a cocktail or something…
  651. TexaSD says:
    Seriously, maybe we should have a party at Lisa’s house lol
  652. lisa says:
    edit “on” kempwood” not “me” lol
  653. lisa says:
    Spring shadows? that’s down my Kempwood right? I know metro national (the company that owns the mall) owns everything in spring shadows. I sometimes go to the Walmart neighborhood market over there.
  654. Coco says:
    OMG Lisa…. didn’t know you were that close…does Spring Shadows sound familiar???
  655. lisa says:
    Taz, you must have not been in my neighborhood, lol
    Coco, what part of Houston are you in? I’m in Springbranch, nw side
  656. Taz says:
    Lmfao – how much do they charge Lisa?? I couldn’t be far from her – but apparently you are where all the action is anyway lol 😉 And besides the couple of times I had flights delayed there when traveling – I wished I could stay longer! People are soooo nice in Texas!!
    TexasSD – I think there are a few more than that with children – just can’t think of who for sure and don’t want to offend anyone if I am wrong!
  657. cleo says:
    omg so many posts to read… just wanted to say one thing quickly
    yaz10? i was laughing my head off when i read that, thought you were being funny… wasn’t offended or ticked or thinking you were making fun of me. am sorry to make you feel uncomfortable though!
  658. Coco says:
    Lisa ~ Yes I do….
  659. lisa says:
    Do you live in Houston Coco?
  660. lisa says:
    send your daughter to live with my daughter and parents, no one’s going to get any action under their roof, lol
  661. TexaSD says:
    And so there is 3 mom’s in here now huh?
  662. Coco says:
    TexasSD ~ OH yes..
  663. Sisyphus maleSB says:
    Hi everyone, I thought I would come out of lurk mode for a change.
    TexaSD – Make that four from Toronto! Although I play for the other team so maybe I don’t count lol.
    How many times do you let someone flake/change date at the last minute , before you write them off?
    I always tell myself 2-3 times but I am far too forgiving and usually let the disrespectful behaviour continue for far too long. This tends to happen more with someone I really like and want to make things work with. If it was someone who contacted me and I was not all that interested to begin with they get one more chance only. In this case, I’m quite good at staying true to my convictions.
    What are your thoughts on sugar daddies requesting ’sneek peaks’ from sugar babies?
    I’ve given out nude pics once and I will never do it again. It was with someone who I had known for a while so some trust had been built up. As soon as I sent them the person dropped off the face of the earth. He knew what I looked like before, and I am quite fit so I wrote him off as a creep. Regardless, the best peak or preview is always a lengthy conversation.
    Would you ever take your sugar to a family gathering? For the Holidays?
    This would obviously depend on many factors. If it was a relationship that would be ending in the near future, absolutely not. If it were something more long term, possibly even serious, then of course I would (even if this made my family uncomfortable) I would not under any circumstances bring my SD if it was something he did not want to do. I try not to subject people I like to my family lol.
  664. TexaSD says:
    Coco- sweet, houston also? everyone lives there lol
  665. TexaSD says:
    taz- bpmca07 it is at the y
  666. Coco says:
    TexasSD ~ Yes I am in Texas…
  667. Taz says:
    TexasSD – definitely relationship status…and of course pics of my daughter as well lol…I would have no problem talking to you (or anyone else who posts on the blog for that matter) about me a bit more personally – I just know there are many, many other people who indulge in lurking – (I was one of them for a month or so :P) But hey – if you have Anna’s, VC’s, BG’s, or Flo’s addy (I think that is it :P) I would be happy to elaborate more :)
    It would be nice to know everyone a bit more – we have FABULOUS PEEPS on this blog!!
    Coco – My diva IS my life! She is first no matter what! That does not mean I am not allowed to have a life as well as have the rewards of being a parent – my time is just more limited – just as anyone who is successful at anything they do :) I am not asking anyone to be involved with my daughter in any way so don’t feel it is necessary to make her a primary factor in my profile (I definitely want NO strings!) but do believe any type of worthwhile relationship/friendship is based on honesty. I haven’t honestly found it to be a hindrance at all – perhaps it is b/c of my stance and that I don’t make it a big deal…that was quite the rant :p
    Lisa – I hope you can send some of those celibate daughter vibes this way indeed!! 😀 I need to have some fun now b/c when she hits twelve I will be a wreck!
  668. TexaSD says:
    Coco- your in Texas too?
  669. lisa says:
    I’m posting too quickly too, have to click several times to post.
    I know my daughter is not thinking of that, she doesn’t even date. She’s a carbon copy (for those of you that are not familiar, we used to have these blue or black sheets of carbon paper to make multiple copies when we used a, uh, a typewriter) lol of my mom and since they live together, no one is or will be having sex. Mom’s motto, having sex, move out!
    She has a good job and after expenses, she got lotsa spending money.
  670. Coco says:
    Taz ~ i totally concur with you. I’m in the same situation and i tend to be upfront and tell them about having a daughter….it gives them the choice of whether to continue with the relationship or bail out before its too late…
  671. Taz says:
    LMFAO – hey Lisa honestly TALK to her!!! How old is she again? 18?? I think that is what i recall from previous posts!? Better she finds out from mama than someone else and awesome that she felt she could ask you! If that is the route she is thinking of going (or even curiosity peeked b/c of KEN), your knowledge (of course I wouldn’t suggest telling her EVERYTHING) could save her a lot of heartache and keep her safe perhaps!? Food for thought…but indeed too damn funny! I know at four mine has already asked me about things that make me squirm and I give the same kind of answers til I have a chance to think and elaborate…this mom job is tough stuff lol! And yes – a caramel sucker would have been very truthful! lol
    Lisa – how come you can post so quickly??? Ugh…I am in posting limbo!
  672. lisa says:
    and sugarbabies are carmel coated rabbit droppings, lol
  673. TexaSD says:
    Lisa- Caramel suckers, that reminds me of the Sugar babies candies, mmmm i loved those things lol
  674. TexaSD says:
    Taz- lol, Keeping your daughter confidential or possibly being married? Sorry I understand if you want to plead the 5th. I just curious thats all, Don’t take any of that the wrong way, I think you all know I am pretty laid back, not trying to cause any drama. Again just making conversation and getting to know some of the people on here.
  675. lisa says:
    I should have told her a sugardaddy is a carmel sucker
  676. lisa says:
    I told her I thought it was when an old geezer spent money on a younger woman
  677. Taz says:
    Lisa – lmao definitely…my daughter is only FOUR – if she asked me that I may have to lock her in her room until she is 30!!
    TexasSD – WOW? Lol…I guess that is not such a good thing :S My situation is a bit different than others here (I guess everyone’s situation is different for that matter lol) – I choose to keep that confidential on the blog as it would take a bit for someone to understand lol…nonetheless I of course take the time to explain to any pot’s. Most have been pretty understanding as I am pretty blunt and up front about everything…as I would expect an pot to be as well :)
  678. TexaSD says:
    Lisa- Seriously I really did laugh out loud on that comment
  679. lisa says:
    funny I talked to my daughter on the phone last night and she had mentioned seeing something about Ken (barbie doll) being a sugardaddy and she asked me what a sugar daddy was. I acted like I didn’t really know, lol
  680. Nico says:
    <~~~mom here :)
  681. TexaSD says:
    Taz- I didn’t know you had a daughter, wow. i thought only lisa had one, your not married are you? (just asking)
  682. lisa says:
    another scary idea: Wives of men posting as sds on this site, slice their husbands into pieces and bury them in the walls. Log onto dead hubby’s profile and set up dates with unsuspecting sbs. creepy
  683. RX8sb says:
    NY Gent… No fair I have actually seen that movie tons of times, my family is an old movie buff and have a few in my collection. And Cary Grant is one of my favorites. But I can’t for the life of me recollect the name of the movie.
    Loved the one where him and his wife die in a car accident and haunt the cars next owner. 😀
  684. NeOhio SB says:
    NYGent ~~ First of all…..lol….i think your apology to any of those “up north” was a lil bit too kind. IF there are any of those lurking or on the blog, I do believe between you and I, Buckeye nation rules around here.
    RE: Carmen P (yes i know that name well)…well, suffice it to say, I wave my terrible towel…had lived in Pitt for many years and don’t do the orange and brown. At least the la perla designers have implemented a burgandy color, closest to scarlet they will get, but there is NO orange, brown nor blue and maize, so im quite happy!! And BTW, if you ever need or want any Buckeye paraphanalia, let me know…i can always deliver in my next migration to ny city. Heading up to westchester tomorrow for client meeting, but its a quick turn around…..into the city the end of the week.
  685. Anna Molly says:
    Movie: The Awful Truth with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne
  686. Coco_TXSB says:
    Lisa ~ That’s pretty scary….but i won’t be surprised at all. There are a lot of crazy people out there.
  687. Taz says:
    TexasSD – I AM using ‘professional’ type pics – but they are all of me and classy (different outfits and poses so hopefully that shows that they aren’t taken off of google or some other stock photo site)!!! Lmao…and I didn’t pay professional fees for them thankfully :) I have had some debate with myself over it but I refuse to post any pics with my little diva in them and I don’t have many more of just ME at the moment…soooo…I post them – but I hope I am not missing out on some great SD’s b/c of it. Anyone who has contacted me and asked for ‘candid’ pics I am more than happy to send them (with my daughter blurred out of course) just think it is kind of tacky to have pics posted with her blurred out…
  688. TexaSD says:
    Taz- are you thinking of using professional pics?
  689. TexaSD says:
    Taz- ya professional pics to me, usually mean a professional woman, although, If she is pretty wow, I will still contact her and hope i am just wrong about her being an escort
  690. NYGent says:
    Hint: the movie is about divorce and marriage.
  691. NYGent says:
    NE Ohio: unfortunately his sidekick carmen policy couldn’t turn the browns around . . .
    nor anyone else has been able . ..
    all: two points for anyone who can identify both actors in the photo atop this blog. extra credit for naming the movie. no googling!
  692. Taz says:
    Anna – I am lucky in that I know someone who takes amazing pictures!! Only problem is…so far on the blog it seems ‘professional’ pictures depict escort or professional which is definitely NOT the case…kinda stuck on that one myself 😛 I would be happy to hear what anyone has to say on the topic myself 😀
    As far as this site…there are all kinds. What each person defines as an arrangement is different and can making searching quite daunting. Don’t let it be!! Have fun and don’t get frustrated – you will find someone who is quality like yourself 😀
  693. Anna Molly says:
    I decided to listen to some music, maybe it will inspire me….lol.
    I am not posting too quickly! Ugh!
  694. Anna Molly says:
    Thanks TexaSD, I might take you up on that offer :)
    Photogirl gave me some good tips too. Thanks photogirl :)
      Hello Happy Sugars!
      I am off for my Pot date, driving together up the coast and a late lunch. What a lovely plan for a first date! I love when they show creativity. Two of my favorite things…driving with the top down in a fast car and… well…FOOD! Enjoy your day! Wish me luck!!!
  695. Coco_TXSB says:
    Thanks Taz… i think i’ll do that. How can a SD join such a site not knowing what a SD gotta do? Lol.
  696. TexaSD says:
    Anna- If you want I can take a look at your previous profile
  697. Anna Molly says:
    I’m like you Taz, I find writing/talking about myself to be very awkward. How does one take good photos of themselves? I have difficulty with that as well. I could use some good tips :)
  698. TexaSD says:
    Taz- don’t feel bad, same here.
    Anna- lol good start
  699. Anna Molly says:
    TexaSD ~ So far, all I have is hi…lol.
  700. Taz says:
    Have fun with that Anna – I have been trying to rewrite mine since I joined 😛 Not good at that stuff…talking about myself. I have had a few people from the blog give me suggestions and I am working with them lol…just waiting to get some new pics and will update in a clean sweep I think :)
  701. TexaSD says:
    Anna- How is the profile re-write, although i never saw your previous profile, so i will be totally unaware of the changes lol
  702. Taz says:
    Coco – I have to say I am and have been in the same boat. I have found that being upfront and honest is the way to go. This way no one is wasting time. Everyone has different ideas and expectations out of an arrangement (as with any relationship) and there was a lot of time that could have been wasted if I wasn’t (for me and pot. sd’s). I wouldn’t ask it first thing as I am sure you want to make sure you are compatible to some extent – but perhaps ask what he is seeking out of an arrangement and then hopefully he will ask and you will know if you are on the same page :)
  703. Coco_TXSB says:
    Correction **dumb**
  704. Coco_TXSB says:
    A quick question to ya’ll Sugars…
    I have a pot SD but he seems to be un aware of what a SD is expected to do…. do you think i should go ahead and tell him what I expect from him or he may be playing damn for some reason?
    The Pot SD claims that he’s never been in a SD/SB relationship…neither have I.
    Please help….
  705. Taz says:
    I do have a premium account…and anything is possible that’s why I was wondering if someone knew something that I didn’t lol!
  706. Anna Molly says:
    I’m trying to re-write my profile.
  707. TexaSD says:
    Coco- I am doing nothing, and its the best…. just searching threw profiles, watching tv
  708. Coco says:
    Hello Sugars…..
    what is everyone up to?
  709. TexaSD says:
    although its possible, you do have a Premium account correct?
  710. Taz says:
    Teehee – I thought so TexasSd lmao…someone emailed me asking if we spoke OFFLINE! Lol…I didn’t think so but thought I would ask lol…
  711. TexaSD says:
    Taz– Lol ON the blog,
  712. Taz says:
    TexasSD – were we chatting ON the blog? Or off the blog?…do you know something I don’t know??? Lmao…
  713. Anna Molly says:
    bye photogirl :)
  714. Anna Molly says:
    Hi photogirl :)
  715. photogirl says:
    correction *only*… boy I’m tired. Off to work!
  716. photogirl says:
    Texas SD – I have not seen any FL SDs on the blog on a few SBs
  717. TexaSD says:
    NewSB- Ya Beach is from Montreal, and Taz and cleo are both Ontario, ya sometimes i don’t go back and read the blog, I am more of an,”in the moment” blogger lol. As for the age thing, I can understand you women changing it slightly so you are not missed if your ages are so close to their (SD) cut off range. I wasn’t trying to say anything about it. I was having trouble remembering who I was talking to that was from ontario, it was Taz, see I remembered her age (which i think I should get credit) I was just not expecting so many people in here are in each others town, that is what caught me off guard.
    Photogirl- I thought there was a FL sd, or maybe I am thinking about a FL sb.
    TLG- I Knew I remember someone saying that they were in DFW, but man alive, i just couldn’t remembered who, The whole time I was like,’ I know i told someone i would meet up with them once I got to DFW, but oh well did that fall threw.
  718. NYGent says:
    just got back from a run in NYC — glorious day here and i assume all over the east coast and midwest.
    coco: how specific is your profile in terms of what you’re looking for? If it’s readily understandable then maybe he is playing dumb. If there is any subtlety or ambiguity maybe he misunderstood. or maybe he is just clueless in general . . .
    at the risk of sounding clueless myself, what exactly does it mean when an SB says in her profile, “I expect to be compensated for my time,” esp. when she already has a $ requirement posted? Is that something above and beyond the allowance? per diem or hourly charge for the time you’re togetether? or just another way of saying looking for mutual benefits? You don’t see this phrase too often but it does appear from time to time.
  719. Beach_Girl*395953 says:
    Have a good day everyone!!
    I don’t think I’ve said hello yet.
  721. NYGent says:
    NEohio: i’m with you, and off for a run myself. And just stomp on anybody from that school up north who gives you s__t. (apologies to any michiganders on the blog)
  722. PS – Beach Girl is also from Canada
  723. Gemini29 says:
    Morning everyone! I have a pot SD who…I’m starting to think that unless he can commit to an actual date to meet me, I’m going to cut loose. He keeps putting it off with “I’ll be back in Blahblah in the next few weeks…” Also we supposedly had a possible date sorta on the books…except that while originally he said he’d take care of a hotel and transportation for me…he never mentioned again before the “date” how he was going to take care of this for me. And I wasn’t willing to risk my own money on getting up there (not my city, not even close to my area) on a vague promise.
    I need to readjust my outlook on this. I’m really starting to agree with whomever said that if the schedules haven’t met up at this point, how would they meet up again enough to have a sugar relationship?? Plus I’m tired of guys who are all talk but then don’t walk the walk.
    I think I’m stuck in the scheduling pit of doom. So depressing.
  724. Texas SD – The age piece is something I have been fighting with. I’m 42, however I did put 39 so that I won’t be missed in people who limit their searches to 40 (per the advice of a sd blogger. It’s still deceptive, but there is a logical reason. I’m not ashamed of my age and actually look younger than 39 :-)
    I’d even venture to say that had you not read the previous blog, you would not have questioned my age.
    I lived in DFW a few years ago….loved it!
  725. NeOhio SB says:
    One more note and im outta here to enjoy the beautiful day. Absorb the things that are meaningful and helpful to you…”let go” of the things that have no relevant meaning to you. I can appreciate you standing up for yourself and who you are….trust me….some “blue and maize wolverine” starts bantering trash to me…and you can better believe i will bring out the tallest cl heels i have and stand my ground.
    Ciao everyone………have a great day.
  728. Yaz10 says:
    You mentionned that in earlier blogs people were lying about their age. I really had no idea since I just rejoined the blog not too long ago. I haven’t had time to read the older blogs. I didn’t know you thought I was being sarcatic…..Wow
    Ok maybe I shouldnt say anything else… Bye everyone
  730. RX8sb says:
    Good Morning everyone. How are you doing?
    Any sugar searches bearing fruit?
  731. cleo says:
    oh hey, the comment posted after all? oops now i’m feeling funny for reposting it… weird since the blog just kept telling me that i was posting comments too soon…
    ah well, morning y’all!
  732. cleo says:
    TexaSD: no i’m 38… (which doesn’t mean 42 or 34 [i’ve been reading the back blogs about age and how lotsa folks are lying about it]) and i haven’t spoken to really anyone yet except on the blog since i just got here…
    wow, run on sentence much?
    [that was the comment the blog refused to let me post last night, which is still in my cache impressively enough]
    anyway i didn’t take it rudely because no one ever believes me when i tell them my age, i get into arguments about it because people are so convinced i’ve added years. so for me it’s kind of a pride thing, besides, i’ve earned my years and they look good on me :)
    Yaz10 that’s impressive that you can make sarcasm sound like it in text, i have always had trouble with that one…
  733. Anna Molly says:
    I’ve had a little luck. Might be heading back to the city next week :)
    We need more FL SDs to come out of lurk mode…
    Just got in a couple hours ago. Long wedding day and another one tomorrow!
  744. TexaSD says:
    Cleo- that wasn’t meant to be rude or anything, I feel bad, that i can’t remember, now I feel bad for asking, lol no win situation for me
    Yaz- I know I know, I didn’t know we had that many people in here that are sharing the same citys, we have at least 2 NY’s 2 Toronto’s 2 houstons, 2 Atlanta’s,
  745. Yaz10 says:
    Cleo: Really??? I had no idea people lied about their age on here!! Wow…
  746. Yaz10 says:
    TexasSD You should never ask a woman her age 😉
  747. cleo says:
    TexaSD: no i’m 38… (which doesn’t mean 42 or 34 [i’ve been reading the back blogs about age and how lotsa folks are lying about it]) and i haven’t spoken to really anyone yet except on the blog since i just got here…
    wow, run on sentence much?
  748. TexaSD says:
    D-Dubs i think this is maybe what you are talking about read her profile
  749. stephan says:
    SA is all about mutually beneficial relationships – it was the first dating site to use the term. As many SD’s and SB’s have said, it’s not always easy, and chemistry is still a big factor, so I bid you hold on for what you know you deserve :)
    Wishing you the best!
  750. TexaSD says:
    Lisa and TXSB houston,
    Cleo, are you 30? I remember talking to someone on here 30 and from Toronto, but wow i just can’t remember who
  751. cleo says:
    TexaSD: i’m in toronto and it’s gorgeous here! so nice today that a friend and i sat on the balcony and i wore open toed shoes out in the evening for what may be the last time this year…
    the leaves are fallen and falling and the air smells like that peculiar combination of freshness and rot that happens only in the spring or the fall and whatever else happens a deep breath tastes good.
  752. Yaz10 says:
    Lisa maybe?….or TexasSB?? Again, I’m not sure…
  753. TexaSD says:
    Yaz– sorry, lol, I am just tired i got in from Dallas not so long ago, is there any sb or sd here from Dallas, i think i remember someone saying they were from there, but hell i just can’t remember, NewSB is from canada?
  754. Yaz10 says:
    TexasSD I am not in canada lol I live in Albany,NY. I believe Cleo and NewSB are in Canada…I’m not sure…
  755. Yaz10 says:
    Oh by the way D-Dubs, how was your date? :-)
  756. Yaz10 says:
    TexasSD is right. Unless she is flying to meet you in your hometown at her own expense then, maybe, you could offer to reimburse her for her ticket but other than that, I do not know why you should give a pot SB any money at all before a meeting.
    However, some SDs do wire SBs some money to prove that they are genuine but I believe a SB should not be expecting any money from a SD she hasn’t met yet. If she brings it up right after you guys have set a date for a first meeting…RED FLAG!! Lol
  757. cleo says:
    D-Dubs/TexaSD: I’m new so take this with a grain of salt but i don’t think i would want to meet a girl who needed to get paid to have dinner with me. Isn’t the whole point to want to spend time with each other that then happens to turn into something that benefits everyone?
    Yaz10 is right about travel of course, or if time off work were required for the meeting, but otherwise yeah, same page :)
  758. TexaSD says:
    See Yaz is pretty smart, I forget to mention if she is flying to you for the first meeting, but then again, how many SB’s actually do that?
    Yaz- how is canada?
  759. Yaz10 says:
    NYGent said:
    “sorry if the “shoegasm” comment caused such a stir, it was mostly tongue in cheek. I have noticed, though, that some SBs begin to hyperventilate when they enter a store full of louboutins and choo’s etc . . . Add in some prada or LV bags and they start to approach ecstasy . . .”
    LOL I am one of them. Guilty as charged 😉 The funny thing is, I do not even own a single pair of designer pumps or boots but I do drool and daydream a little bit when I am in front of them. As a grad student, I can’t afford any yet so until I can buy my first pair of Louboutin pumps….I will keep drooling…….;-)
    Cleo: Got ya! :-)
  760. TexaSD says:
    D-Dubs, a lot of women here i notice think their time is more important than ours, your not the only one who sees that. Some of these women are escorts and want to get paid just to show up, if they aren’t putting out and they want to get paid just for you to meet them, does that sound like something you are willing to do? Or do you think that is just a scam, if they didn’t like your profile, then don’t bother with it, Or if they are willing to put out, and your ok with that, then by all means go ahead, I am not sure exactly what you are getting, but I am sure you know what you want, and are willing to pay for, but yes It does say mutually beneficial relationships, so if your not benefiting, then don’t bother with them
  761. D-Dubs says:
    hey y’all…
    just wanted to get clarification on something.
    Is this a site for “mutually beneficial relationships”
    or, for “mutually beneficial dating”??
    I’ve been coming across way too many potential SB’s who keep wanting to put the cart before the horse.
    How can I agree to an arrangement when I haven’t met you yet?
    Do I really need to pay you to take you out the first night to see if we connect or have any chemistry?
    Seems to me if you weren’t attracted to me at all from my picture, profile, or brief conversations leading up to that first date…then DON’T GO!
    Oh, and please don’t say I’m paying you for “your time”. My time is valuable too.
    Way too many are looking for a quick payoff and not a relationship of any kind. But I swear at the top of this website it still says “Mutually Beneficial Relationships”
    Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m sure some of you will.
  762. TexaSD says:
    Was there any SB’s or SD’s in Dallas? I just got back from there and the whole time I was thinking someone is from there, I know a few here are in Houston, but I think someone was from Dallas right?
  763. cleo says:
    Yaz when i said i like shoes but not like some of you girls i just meant that i’m far more likely to salivate over that ferrari that keeps passing me when i’m walking up my hill or a really great coat [can you tell i’m from a winter country?]… but the older i get the more i understand the pleasure contained in a beautiful pair of shoes or boots.
    well i’m glad i misunderstood what NYGent said about some sb’s (though i wasn’t referring to the girls on the blog and i didn’t think he was either, you all seem awesome) because i like the idea that there is warm feeling between people in these kinds of arrangements.
  764. Anna Molly says:
    Gute Nacht jeder!
  765. PS
    BG – I’m sure if you are in public, the scene will end up on YouTube. Then we will all see it!!!
  766. SF SD & NYGent- Is DL like the movie? Will Captain’s Verses ruin every chance a man may have at romance if he doesn’t meet Neruda’s standards :-)
    I’m thinking healthy balance – Captain’s Verses and Team of Rivals.
    That should get me through the winter!
    Quiet night here. G’night sugars…sweet dreams.
  767. Taz says:
    BG – email or msn me and let me know what his name is please? I had a guy contact me and seemed very nice (another site) and then asked at the end of his last email what my favorite shoes were! Lol..I am not a HUGE shoe girl…purses on the other hand lmao…
  768. Beach_Girl*395953 says:
    Taz~ He wasn’t on a Sugar site at all, he contacted me thru facebook
    Anna ~ I wish I could film it… wouldn’t that be something 😉
  769. Anna Molly says:
    I’m on one of those tiny micro computers, so I appologize for any and all typos that have or may occur.
    Stupid computer!
  770. Anna Molly says:
    I would love to see the guy lick those shoes BG….that would be great! You have to tell us all about it!
  771. Anna Molly says:
    Like I said beore, I’m a handbag girl. I have to have the matching wallet too, it drives me nuts if my wallet doesn’t match.
    As far a lingerie goes; give me a mans dress shirt I’m happy :) I think I’ve said that before too.
  772. NeOhio SB says:
    Good evening all !!!
    NYGent ~~ O-H-I-O. Pretty sad, forget the “shoegasms” and the “bag gasms”, i was havin “Buckeye gasms” in Happy Valley today. Totally stoked. On another note, I am absolutely a “lingerie gasm” woman. Some la perla, some carine gilson………forget it> Add some CL’s, lace thigh high stockings…….that’s it for me.
    Yaz ~~ I am soooo on the same page with you. Those “simple little things” are by far the most important….When those are missing, the big things become meaningless.
    JennaBeth ~~ I think honesty is the best policy for your SD. Let him know that gifts are nice, but your priority is to take care of your debts first and foremost.
    Everyone else………..have a wonderful weekend!!!
  773. Rudy says:
    Hi Everyone!
    Taz: Thanks for the encouraging words! You are right about there being others factors in play when it comes to something like this. I have been viewing profiles today and noticed that many men have been taken for a ride and their profile reflects that; this makes the process even more daunting.
    Flo Rida: Were you referring to my profile headline? I am asking because my profile starts with ‘4’ as well. I appreciate all feedback positive or negative :)
    Gemini29: I like the shoes!!
  774. Yaz10 says:
    Cleo says:
    “i didn’t used to be a shoe girl but i like them now… not like some of these girls though”
    Here is what NYGent said:
    I really have had my eyes opened by dating Sbs on this site to the fact that for them, shoegasms and bag-gasms are almost as good or better than the real thing. It is truly mind-boggling yet a fact. And it has made me much more conscious of the shoes i wear, since no matter what you look like, how much money you have or or willing to spend spoiling, if you’ve got bad shoes then in an SBs eyes you’re toast!
  775. Beach_Girl*395953 says:
    Hello Everyone!
    Taz~ Gianmarco Lorenzi guy said that he ordered the shoes and will let me know when he gets them 😀 so he can put them on my feet and lick them in PUBLIC 😛
    I so can’t wait!!!! GML shoes! 😀
  776. Yaz10 says:
    Sorry about the long post 😉
    Oh and Happy Lurker said it all. Little things do matter because they can tell a lot about somebody’s personality.
  777. NYGent says:
    sorry if the “shoegasm” comment caused such a stir, it was mostly tongue in cheek. I have noticed, though, that some SBs begin to hyperventilate when they enter a store full of louboutins and choo’s etc . . . Add in some prada or LV bags and they start to approach ecstasy . . .
  778. Anna Molly says:
    What did I miss? :)
  779. Yaz10 says:
    cleo*406468 says:
    “Yaz10: one of the SD’s (i think it was either NC or NY Gent but they confuse me a little with their handles) said he was surprised because for a sugar baby a shoegasm was as, if not more, important than a real orgasm.
    and i don’t get that… i mean i love shoes but my pretty boots don’t keep me warm at night (though i do get a happy glow from looking at them) and so i’m curious. is that common? do most sb’s really prefer shoegasms to orgasms? (or handbags or clothes or whatever)
    i know this is fundamentally a business arrangement but i wonder, do sugar babies really prefer shoes to orgasms? do sugar daddies really not mind that? i know i’m new but i thought we were talking about chemistry and genuine liking of people… like friends with benefits and cash more than straight up sex for toys.”
    Cleo: Nobody here said that they liked shoegasms more than the real thing. I came up with that “shoegasm” word because we were all joking around and talking about shoes and lingerie and whatnot. Where did anybody say that they would choose a shoegasm over a real orgasm??
    Please re-read all the posts. Obviously, it must be a misunderstanding.
    Even, NYGent said that he realized that no matter HOW MUCH MONEY, SPOILING, OR SHOPPING a SD is willing to offer some SBs would not give a SD a second look if he does not know how to dress himself. If a SB is really only interested about his money than she wouldnt care about what he wears or how he treats others right? All she would think about would be how to get more and more money from him. ( Isnt that how golddiggers think?)
    Right after NYGent commented on how he nows pays attentiong to what kind of shoes he wears, I stated,”
    “You are right NYGent. In my case, I like to pay attention to the little things. ( How he talks about his mother or siblings, how he treats waiters in a restaurant, shoes he wears ) They can tell a lot about a man. Money cannot change everything about a person and most of the time you can tell someone’s personality just by noticing little things.”
    Me talking about “shoegasm” was only a way to joke around and emphasize the fact that I love Louboutin pumps. ( It all started from NYgent telling us how sexy it was to drink champagne from a woman’s shoe)
    I hope it answers your questions and clears up the misunderstanding. :-)
  780. Rachel 386002 says:
    Hi all! Looks like I missed a lot while at work. Still no sugar plans this weekend, so I’m going out with the girls tonight!
  781. Yaz10 says:
    Cleo…Re-read all the post from last night because you got us all wrong
  782. JennaBeth says:
    How did I get bumped to ahead of the previous posts ?
  783. Taz says:
    OC – I posted last night but it prob got bumped – where is the sd from that you said sounded familiar? I would love to get some info :)
  784. Taz says:
    Flo – thanks so very much!! I will be applying changes shortly :)
    SF SD – I have a nickname for you – VOR (Voice of Reason)
    BG – when do the shoes come in???
  785. always2sweet says:
    yes, I meant surgery wise lol. I have a gym membership, and a trainer would be very nice, but I meant going under the knife
  786. SF SD says:
    Re: VOR. Taz, it is all a carefully crafted façade. 😉
  787. JennaBeth says:
    Flo rida- Yeah , Im not sure thats legal . It doesnt mean that much to me to get arrested ! lol It just seems a little ass-backward for a SD to be like — ” no I want you to stay in debt from college , but heres 2 new pairs of Laboutians ” I just dont get it .
    Email you where ? what ? lol . Would you mind sharing your profile number ?
  788. Flo Rida says:
    JennaBeth or OC – kindly email me I have a handbag q for one or both of you.
  789. SF SD says:
    Missed this one:
    I am also wondering if it is ok to ask a pot SD to help me in an area of improving my body?
    I have had this asked of me, and I did not consider it to be an inappropriate question.
    One of the things that this blog illustrates is the wide variety of motivations, life situations, and preferences that comprise life in the sugar bowl. You will encounter people who have a rather set (dare I say “rigid”?) conception of what an arrangement is about, and this may or may not include what you have in mind. Others might be more flexible. My (non-authoritative) view is that it’s a judgment call, based on the individuals involved and the quality of communication they are able to develop.
  790. JennaBeth says:
    OC– haha , I just now see you have a gucci bag in your post too !
  791. Flo Rida says:
    Gemi – SD just bought a LV handbag for his nanny – her very first LV. She was soo excited. SD can be crazy generous (but also crazy cheap) at times.
    Happy Lurker – I leave for Prague tomorrow. I’ve already been to Asian countries with swine flu and also there are outbreaks of swine flu in US. I’m mentally tough but I’ve no doubt swine flu can kick my ass if I contract it.
    always2sweet – yes of course – anyone on here may email me – but don’t be surprised if email is short.
    someone else asked about ‘improving SB body’ – i’m assuming you mean funding plastic surgery? generally as breast augs and lipo and nose jobs cost the same as allowances (or multiple allowances) can’t this be handled by receiving an allowance and then spending on plastic surgery. Or diod you mean gym membership? Confused
    JennaBeth – why don’t you ask propsective SD to make a direct deposit to your loans (rather than buying gifts) OR set up an internet – ebay re-selling operation (not sure if this legal). Money launderers pay anywhere from 2% to 30% so it’s just a transaction cost.
  792. SF SB says:
    “…all i can say is that too much bubbly preceded it. they were both lovely girls who, tragically, passed away in a fire together many years later. Life is a strange and random mixture of joy and tragedy . . .”
    It sounds like the plot of a telenovela. I guess truth can be stranger than fiction.
    “A pot SD says he wants to spoil me , take me shopping and nice dinners , etc . However — offer NO allowance or finanical assistance…”
    If this not what you are looking for, then any further efforts with this pot are likely to be fruitless.
    With regard to shoegasms…
    I rather like the CL “Paris” short boot. After all, a girl does need to go out now and then.
    Confidential to NewSB: The Captain’s Verses (Pablo Neruda), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Pierre Choderlos De Laclos), Adultery (Louise A. DeSalvo).
    OC: Good to see you’re still in the game.
    Have a good weekend everyone!
  793. cleo, I posted a reply, but it’s a few posts up.
  794. cleo says:
    newsb: it’s amazing what you can misread in text isn’t it?
  795. Happy Lurker says:
    These days the blog has turned again to the craving SBs have for shoesgasms and baggasms.
    As to drinking champagne out of her shoe, I specialise in pouring champagne in her navel and take it from there. Very stimulating !
    To be honest, please observe the shoes of your pot SD.
    It seems a little detail, but tells a lot about him. After all, the outward appearence is a reflection of his inner world.
    Just the other day I went out to order some made to measure shoes. They are special and called “veldtshoe”. The model dates back from the Boer wars fought against the English in South Africa. Great shoes for a gentleman who is a countryside lover.
    On a more serious note, I read that some SBs have an outing planned to Europe and I read the name Prague.
    Over there the swine flu is rampant !
    In my country the Government is busy inocculating the population.
    Have two linguistis students that I sponsor in Ukraine. They wrote me that their Goverment has no means to fight the swine flu.
    Untold amount of inhabitants die of it. Almost looks like the black death
    from Medieval times has returned.
    Schools are closed and people stay indoors.
    I bought a box of TAMIflu and send it to them.
    Hope they will survive. My heart goes out to them.
    So be wise and put a halt on travel abroad.
    I am hapy to tell you that last week I met HER !
    Yes, in a forest. A smashing type of young lady that made me ask in silence “why did not I meet you years and years ago ? ”
    Talking about chemistry !
    She gave me her e-mail address, very promising sign.
    After all I read here on the blog that a woman decides with the first five seconds of meeting a man that she will bed him or not !
    I invited her for a day out in Belgium and the immediate reaction was
    affirmative. Does that mean “take me” ????!!!!!
    Made some nice pictures of her on that shooting day.
    When I look at them , I hear Ray Charles “Georgia, Georgia on my mind. The whole day through !
    Life is like a comic strip to me.
    That makes me into that HP !
