Sugar’s Mission: What’s Yours?

Whether it’s dating in the Sugarbowl on SeekingArrangement, or on a traditional dating site – it’s probably safe to say we’ve all experienced the ups and downs of promoting ourselves, contacting potentials, and going on dates. Sugarland is a place that requires much inner strength and resilience to be successful.

“I want to share that without this blog, our sanity of all this would be lost somewhere. So keep on posting and sharing thoughts and experience, no matter how long the post may be! When bad dates or experiences happen, at least it can be vented about here and we can all chime in, understand and laugh.” -Stephanie

“…[the sugar blog] is one of the few places I know where free men and women speak frankly as equals and in mutual support. A post-modern Quaker meeting, if you will.” – James

What book are you reading now or would like to read? (All titles mentioned will be added to the new ‘sugar’s choice’ reading list)

Do you have a dream or goal that a sugar could help you fulfill? Care to share?

Hello everyone! I’ve been reading the blogs for quite some time now and I’m stepping out of the lurk shadows in order to ask for guidance. In the last week, I have had dates with two potential SDs who both want to see me again but are reluctant to talk about the arrangement. I waited for them to bring it up but because one wanted me to go back to his home on date #2 and the other wants me to send him sexual pictures and start getting intimate, I had to bring up the arrangement first. Neither of the two would define exactly what they wanted and the conversations were quite frustrating. The first said that he would provide a monthly allowance but the amount has not been ironed out. The conversation got uncomfortable and he kept pouring wine into my glass and trying to convince me to go home with him. I managed to change the subject, still have a good time over dinner, and go home. He has called me for another date, I have a good time with him and, beside the awkwardness of “negotiations” he is a lot of fun and I could definitely enjoy myself with him.
The second potential SD has in his profile that has a monthly budget of 3K-5K. When I spoke to him about it, he stated that we could talk about the final allowance once we are more comfortable with each other and trust has been established. He said that he has been burned before so he doesn’t want to give me the whole allowance up front (amount STILL pending). What he has offered to do is give me $500 in the meantime which wouldn’t even make up 1/4 of monthly allowance if we were to see each other once a week.
Both of these “negotiations” have left a bad taste in my mouth as the people who I would like to spend time with seemed really sketchy when it came to talk about the arrangement. How often do any of you run into this type of thing and how do you handle it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Full Package says:

Thank you so much for your advice! It is hard to navigate this type of world because it is not something I can discuss with my friends (I am the most daring.)

The man I have been seeing has not had an arrangement before, nor has he been with anyone besides his wife since their marriage( or so he says.) I asked him what was missing in his life; and he told me that although they connect on some levels on others it is like they are worlds apart. He also mentioned that she possibly has a drinking problem which is more severe than he thought. This makes me think marriage is just so swell! I think I am going to bring it up, as I have alluded to some of the other “offers” I have received, some of which are quite intense. We were also discussing the cost of rent in my building so he knows its not cheap.

I have to admit it has crossed my mind that I could just see him to see him, without the idea of an allowance. I enjoy his company that much… Don’t worry there is always another guy coming along so I am not overly attached. I do not want to make it so easy for him that I become someone he can have on a whim, because I am not that type of woman.

Anyway, thank you all for your comments. I love coming on to see the dialogue that is going on.

  7. Felicity says:

Of course! I am badunderscorebadgirl at hot male dot co dot uk.

I’m driving to Brighton tomorrow. The other guy is still interested! I just want to do some ‘research’ whilst he is away, so I know I’ve got what I want, rather than thinking my first SD offer was ‘the one’!

After all, I’d never buy the first horse I saw!!

  8. Irish SB says:

Ah Felicity there you are!! Would love to get your email address if thats ok with you!

Where is the date? What happened to the other guy??

  9. always2sweet says:

Thanks sugars! I am excited, I start tomorrow. Get to set up my own get out of debt plan, insurance, investments etc. so that will be great. At this point now that I am hired, I am not even allowed to breathe in someones financial direction until I am certified. So I am definately going to be keeping my mouth zipped until I get my federal certification…after that, feel free to ask anything!

  10. cleo says:

yee haww! you go miss always2sweet!

  11. Felicity says:

Always2sweet – congratulations! Such a shame you are State-side – I’m bound to have some questions, I’m a keen financials follower (if only my interest translated into my current account!!)

JD in NC – I’ve kind of got a bit behind with Doctor Who, so I’ve no idea what’s going on! I have a friend who is Dr. Who bonkers though, so I’ll ask him & see if he can shed any light.

Much love to all you fabulous people.

Coco is so in the right. i owe my credit card far more than i care to… not in trouble but not happy either

  17. Felicity says:

Hey Irish SB! Great to see someone from our side of the ‘pond’! Its a bit crazy getting used to the time differences & all the posts that happen when I’m away – but its such a positive, honest & supportive place that its well worth just giving it a go!

I def. think its worth having the conversation with your guy – ‘I really like you, but I’m focussed on finding an SD & I can’t afford to continue ‘us’ unless it is what I am looking for.’ – If he doesn’t offer you an allowence then you can move on knowing you weren’t looking for the same thing.

I have a pot SD date tomorrow – it means me driving for 2+ hours, but I’d rather know sooner if we ‘hit it off’ in person, than wait for him to have time to visit me in a couple of weeks.

Happy Lurker – you are SO too good to be true! Would be fab to meet up / share if you find yourself in Salisbury!

  18. Coco says:

    Hello Sugars…..

Have not posted any comments for a while but have been lurking anytime i had a chance to get on here. My daughter and I came down with a cold and it’s not fun. It seems like I’ll be spending the rest of my week indoors. Well, apart from a couple of sugar dates ( from another site) this week.

    Big welcome to new SB’s…..

As usual….more views and no emails. Well, i tend to go with the flow. I don’t have any high expectations either.

Anna Molly – Can’t wait to hear about your date.

    Back to the Blog questions:

What book are you reading now or would like to read?

I hate to read, period….I would rather write and watch documentaries…lol.

Do you have a dream or goal that a sugar could help you fulfill? Care to share? Pay my tuition until I graduate….would have considered paying my credit card if i had any.

Sugar Date Weekend Report: Who’s got sugar in their plans this weekend? Care to share?

No Sugar plans this weekend but have one tomorrow and Thursday…may have one on Friday but not confirmed. Have pot dates in the next two weeks ( out of town SD’s) but I’m not counting my chickens yet.

By the way, I luv you all….

  19. Irish SB says:

Hmm sorry that last comment did not come out the way i typed it!

  20. Irish SB says:

OCSugarbaby – Have you given any further thought to the ski break?? I
was in the same boat as you although it involved flying from Ireland to
the States for a week! It came up after a month of contact and tickets
and everything was sent to me so i thought if it doesnt go well i can
entertain myself for the rest of the holiday but my instinct was right, it
helped that he gave me full contact details so i could check everything.

I used the excuse that i won free flights to my family and left! I go to
several places in Europe every year so this wouldnt surprise them. They
knewwhere i was staying so no lies there. I half thought about not telling
them where i was going but the catholic guilt set in, and the image of the
plane crashing somewhere in the atlantic while my family though i was
visiting a friend down the country was too much to bear! lol

Cant wait to hear of your decision!

  21. NC Gent says:

I think my words already might help — I did have some SDs view my profile — I am pretty sure I know a couple of them. There are SDs lurking too. Come on out guys! Ty Always — I will go check.

  22. always2sweet says:

NC, you’ve got mail…again Im sure lol

  23. Just Dee in NC says:

NC Gent, maybe you could write some kind of testimonial that is aimed at those potential SDs who lurk, and convince them that coming into the light could be worth their while.

And yes, of course I took a look.

  24. NC Gent says:

Yes — you are correct – she is the one I owe the referral fee! Thanks CASB!

  25. Irish SB says:

NC Gent – Carpe Diem as they say! I think you owe CASB for twisting your arm!

  26. NC Gent says:

Yes IrishSB — my views went through the roof – got some emails from some SBs I never would have considered emailing, and also got to see a lot of blogger profiles — I guess it was worth it putting it up — do I owe SA a referral fee??

  27. Irish SB says:

    Hey Everyone!

Im loving the imput from everyone and yep RX8sb im getting hooked!! Even if we did have the alowance talk now he will always want more. I was introduced to a lot of his family and friends which although i handled it well I did tell him i wasnt that comfortable doing that so soon! And it also made it difficult for us to talk. But i think if i told him how i felt we could still be friends, it was a new concept for him too and neither of us knew how to act.

I think NC Gents profile views have gone through the roof at this stage!!

  28. cleo says:

it’s okay milady, i miss folks all the time!

    • OCSugarbaby says:

NYGent, I still don’t know what to do quite yet about the ski daddy. The nameless daddy deserves another chance. I really liked him. He just caught me in moment of… well… let’s just say I was not as sugary feeling as I could have been when I sent him that message. Note to self: Do not respond to pots when you are in a less than FULL Sugar mood! thanks for your insight, you are going to be my “Dreamy Invisible SD Mentor”

  29. always2sweet says:

Hey sugars, and welcom newbies! YAY! I can actually say that now lol.

Just got vaugely caught up on the blog, see that I have missed a ton, per usual. Off to check out your profile NC, so fyi I will be one of Im sure the 1million new views you have.

Speaking of profiles, I have GOT to do something about mine. Im assuming its terrible, as I have not gotten any interest as of late :( an overhaul must be had! I wish I had more luck her at SA, especially since I like this site 10 times more than the other one that I am on. Will see if giving the profile a makeover helps me out some *fingers crossed*

  30. RX8sb says:

    • OCSugarbaby says:

IrishSB, I like to think of the SD relationship as the “Ultimate Boyfriend” experience or UB for short. The UB takes the time to make you feel special! He gets a wonderful feeling to help you grow as a person and to help you reach your goals. Speaking of goals. Do you have them? Can you articulate them to this potential? Goals help the SD better understand the financial arrangement aspect of your desire to sugar date. Be it school, classes to better your career, or start a business. How are you going to take the financial benifit and make a difference in your life? This is a great conversation to have with him. It shows you have drive and that something special. With that said the discussion of paying half the allowance upfront is not my favorite approach. It can put both the SD and SB in a stand off situation. Moving forward together takes the right two in the mix to have it work. Now finding that other person is the fun part!

  34. TXSB says:

Good luck on the phone convo! Look, I’m sure this guy nice and you like talking to him and enjoy spending time with him. There’s nothing wrong with that. I just want you to think about what exactly you want him to be……a SD or a BF and act accordingly. It’s not good to have “regrets” when it comes to men…..especially regrets that could’ve been easily avoided. If you’re ok with having him as a BF, then go for it. But if you expect him to be a SD……and he’s saying that he wants you as a GF, then you really need to let him know that you two aren’t looking for the same thing. Good luck with him either way and keep us updated. :)

I just went back and re-read our convo. LOL I honestly think we both agree with each other….yet somehow kept thinking we didn’t! Like you said, in my situation the guy really was trying to use me…..and the posts I wrote were referring to guys like that. Not “true SDs” who’re looking for a long term relationship.

I’m off to the gym…..later everyone!

  35. TXSB says:

*** Clarification on the above: The SB above never hears from the man…never gets the allowance or whatever she was promised. In that case the con artist got sex from the SB and the SB got nothing.***

  36. TXSB says:

    LOL………I think we’re talking about 2 different things. :)

I agree with you that a true SD (ex. in my case RealisticSD) will stick around b/c of a SBs personality.

But I’m talking about men who’re con artists……..who never had an intention of paying an SBs allowance to begin with. These men meet up with SBs, sweet talk them, and promise the world. The SBs will sleep with them b/c the man “promised” them an allowance or whatever. After the sex is over, the SB never hears from the man. :)

  37. Yaz10 says:

Think about it. An arrangement allows you to have an allowance on a “monthly” basis and a guy ( who has enough disposable income to do so) can have a different SB every month of the year. It is a NSA so one party can just walk away whenever they feel like it.

Take your case for example: You are in an arrangement with RealisticSD and it has been quite a while now. Trust me, he saw in you more than a sex partner and that’s what I was talking about. According to you, you guys see each other 3 to 4x a week. A guy who is looking into sleeping with as many women as he can will *grow tired of you* after a while and end the arrangement. In the case of Realistic, your personality AND the amazing chemistry between you is what is keeping him around ( ahem what you teach him behind closed doors also helped I am sure 😉 )

I hope that cleared up what I was saying earlier.

Ok my sister is getting mad at me because we are supposed to go to the gym together and I am sitting here typing away lol. Later babes!

  38. TXSB says:

Yes, you’re right. He can pay half my allowance, have sex with me, and not continue our relationship. But the line you wrote… “both parties got what they wanted” is the difference.

If I had sex with a potential SD, and never got my allowance or even half of it and he dissappears, well then what did I get out of it? (other than feeling like an idiot for falling for his words) I haven’t heard of any SBs who become a SB b/c they can’t find men to have sex with.

I wasn’t looking for “pay per play” and would’ve never agreed to it. *BUT* if my SD had dissappeared after the 1st time we had sex and I only got 1 month’s allowance…..then at the least I wouldn’t have felt like I got taken advantage of. The SB/SD relationship is a temporary fling…..whether its in a week or 1 year or 5 years……sooner or later the SD will leave for one reason or another. But even if that “relationship” lasted one week…….it should be beneficial to BOTH parties.

  39. Yaz10 says:

    TXSB said:

“Yes, with men who’re truly looking for a GF or a SB, a woman can keep them around with her personality for months/years. However, with men who’re just jerks looking for a “quick lay”……..a woman’s personality doesn’t matter at all. ”

I’m not naive. We are all sexual creatures and men AND women have needs. I said your personality is what will keep him around months after your body has satisfied him.
In the case you mentionnned, it is clear that the guy WAS looking for a quick lay and saying everything and anything you wanted to hear just to sleep with you. Good thing you got rid of him before he used you!

  40. Yaz10 says:

I guess some SBs are fine with it as long as they got their money but some others may be looking for more ( not necessarily a relationship tho….)

  41. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: Like you said above, you will not get physical with him unless he pays you at least half of your allowance upfront. Well some men have no problem with that. They could give you that money, sleep with you and still leave you the next day. On to a better and fresher “model” like they call it. In that case it was still a sex for money fling and both parties got what they wanted….
Like I said, don’t mind me. I was just thinking out loud. lol

  42. TXSB says:

LOL about the book! That sucks! :(

    1) In the SD/SB relationship, we’ve all read the stories here when SBs slept with a pot SD b/c he said all the right things and she felt “chemistry”….yet after the physical part was over, she never was offered an arrangement or received her allowance etc.

    2) In the sugar dating scene specifically, there are too many con artists or men just looking for women to take advantage of. I’m not saying a man is going to get up and run away as soon as it’s “done”….I’m saying that the *chances* of a potential SD not giving me an allowance is too high so why take that chance? Heck in my specific story above….this guy went on and on about how amazing my personality was and how he could see a future for “US”….yet when I made it crystal clear to him that I’d date him as his GF but won’t have sex with him anytime soon…I guess at that point, my “personality” wasn’t good enough to keep him around.

    3) Yes, with men who’re truly looking for a GF or a SB, a woman can keep them around with her personality for months/years. However, with men who’re just jerks looking for a “quick lay”……..a woman’s personality doesn’t matter at all. The only thing that matters is how naive she is and how soon she falls for his words.

  43. NC Gent says:

Thanks for the compliments on the profile. It is kind of simple and direct. I tried to view your profile, and it wouldn’t let me TXSB – wonder if it because it is hidden? It used to be one could view hidden profiles but maybe they changed it.

NY Gent — yeah very high initial hit ratio, but I would say I only hear back from about 1 out of 4 SBs that I send my picture…. ouch lol used to bother me but then I realized there are lots of attractive women on the site, and I pass by about 95% of them. After that things go awry for a number of reasons… I think the top 2 reasons are… unrealistic expectations, and not really serious about entering a sugar relationship. One of the many great things about the blog — the SBs all here are serious about entering into a sugar relationship!

  44. Irish SB says:

TSBX – i am just writing down your antidotes so i can use them for future reference!! I suppose from day 1 it didnt feel like an arrangement and i can blame myself for that – its weird starting off with no experience to guide you! But i live and learn. Everything was just ‘friendly’ for the first few days but i was attracted to him and it felt more like a holiday romance than an arrangement! I loved every minute of it and dont regret it but i realise its not exactly what i want or looking for..

Wish me good luck for that phone conversation later!!

  45. Yaz10 says:

I dont know….Like I said it is just a thought…and as a woman I have thought about it several times.

It could also be the reason why some men would never leave their wives even tho they have several affairs outside their marriage….they have found in her more than a sex partner…Ok I am rambling…

    Off to the gym! :-)

Cleo : Did you call him to at least get your book back? lol

  46. cleo says:

Yaz10: actually it’s happened to me a few times. one guy chased me for MONTHS, told me i was IT for him and blah blah blah.

finally months later i slept with him and then lent him a book in the morning. never heard from/saw him again. what actually pissed me off there? he took the damn book! couldn’t he have left it on the stoop or something?

  47. Yaz10 says:

Your beauty and your body will attract him for sure but * the real you* ( your personality) will keep him around for a loooong time.

  48. Yaz10 says:

I hear many women saying they are afraid that the man will leave them after sleeping with them……* scratching my head*
I am a woman and I have thought of that before but…..I really don’t think that a man will leave right after sleeping with you. Oh dont get me wrong, I will never “give it up” on the first, second, or third date, ( Only when I feel comfortable doing it) but I do think that (unless the man is ONLY looking for sex) he will not run away from you right after you sleep with him. Just a thought….

  49. EastCoastFilly says:

    TXSB…that was a good one!

  50. TXSB says:

    SDs having pics on profiles:

It didn’t make any difference to me when I was searching. If the height/body type met my requirement….then I didn’t see any problem responding to them or writing to them even if they didn’t have a pic. I figured I would get one on the 1st or 2nd e-mail anyway. Besies, I didn’t have a pic in my profile so it would’ve been hypocritical of me to ignore SDs who didn’t either. :)

  51. TXSB says:

    Irish SB:
I have “trust issues” when it comes to men. That combined with my blunt personality…..lol……I don’t have the time/patience/energy to deal with anyone’s B.S. I’m also pretty conservative when it comes to physical stuff (like I said earlier I don’t get physically involved unless a relationship has been discussed/established so that also makes it impossible to men to take advantage of me….I don’t “give it up” just b/c of their sweet talk).

I had one potential SD…we had great chemistry. After our 2nd date he even offered me an arrangement and we agreed on it. On our 3rd date, he invited me back to his house and I politely hold him that I’m not comfortable going to his house b/c I won’t do anything physical until at least half of my allowance has been paid….and I don’t want things b/c us to get awkard. Well, the next few days…he started talking about how I have totally changed his views on life….that now he wanted me as a GF blah blah blah. I told him that’s fine……I’m single so dating someone as a potential BF is a possibility for me. But I told him that I was worried that he would leave as soon as I slept with him. I told him that if he really liked me for my personality and if I’m really that special……then he should have no problem dating me for 2 months w/o any sex. LOL……..Mr. “You have totally changed my outlook on life and I want you as my GF” never contacted me after that. :)

  52. cleo says:

re SD photos in profiles (nice profile btw NCGent – if i came across that in toronto i probably would have emailed you… well 50% chance, it’s a little brief; i would totally have answered your email if you sent it though.)

for me the photo or not doesn’t make a lot of difference, if i like what i read and i like what your email has to say i’ll answer. this is very different from traditional online dating where i definitely don’t answer emails from profiles with no pic. i think it’s because here i accept that some of these men have a need to conceal their identity.

i don’t think i would meet without one though, what’s the point if i think you repulsive?
NYGent: do you think the odds get any different based on the age of the SB you’re emailing? sorry not odds of her answering, odds of actually getting to an arrangement…

  53. Irish SB says:

TXSB – What you wrote is exactly what iv been thinking! I got on great with him and had a fun time but I dont think hes comfortable with the whole SB / SD relationship now. It never occured to me that id get involved with someone from SA and feel bad because i couldnt return their feelings. I wasnt expecting that element. Theres more cons to single SDs than i had envisaged!

  54. TXSB says:

    Full Package:
Has the man ever had a SB before? I was lucky in the sense that my SD brought up an arrangement BUT the men I met before him, usually during the 1st or 2nd date I would just flat out ask them what type of arrangement they were looking for? I’m not uncomfortable talking about money and didn’t want to talk to someone for weeks or even months if him and I were not going to agree on an amount.

Also, I wasn’t planning on getting physical with anyone (no sex, no making out etc) until they paid me at least half my allowance. So with 1 of the guys I had met, after our 2nd date he tried grabbing my ass and I moved away from him and politely told him in this case, I’m not comfortable with men touching me unless he was actually my SD. B/C of my strict “no physical” rule, the allowance issue would come up if they tried touching me in any other way other than giving me a hug and peck on the cheek.

If you and this man don’t have a arrangement agreement then I don’t see why you should not keep on searching for a SD. It’s great that this men spent time with you and all….but without an arrangement, he’s NOT your SD and that’s what you want right?

If this SD wants a real relationship and wants you as a GF, be honest with him if you’re not going to stop searching for a SD. If you really do need a SD to help you out with bills, debt etc…..this man’s “love” isn’t going to help there.

  55. TXSB says:

    NC Gent:
    Nice profile. :)

  56. TXSB says:

    Good Morning everyone!

Welcome to all the new faces!

  57. NYGent says:

NC Gent: that’s a very high hit ratio, so your strategy must be working. I maybe get 60% responses to emails (most of the non-responses are from younger SBs who I suspect write off anyone above a certain age). As we’ve discussed before, though, when you multiply the percentages of success at each successive stage, the ratio really starts to drop. E.g., 60% responses may lead to 20% first dates of which maybe 30% of those lead to seconds of which maybe 25% of those lead to arrangements, so it ends up being very needle in a haystack-like even with a good start.

  58. Irish SB says:

True true NC Gent – but i would be like wow hold your horses to any male that mentions even jokingly about relocating and marriage! Haha have i thrown up a new dilemma where the SD is toooo keen!

  59. NC Gent says:

I am assuming he was single, Irish SB — there are some downsides to married SDs, but they are generally very commitment-phobic when it comes to sugar relationships lol

  60. Irish SB says:

    Hey Taz!

Hands up i was a lurker! Just felt out of loop being over here but i see Felicity from England started posting so il have to give her credit for getting me involved – i hope to catch her at some stage!

  61. Taz says:

Hi IrishSB – welcome to the blog!

  62. Irish SB says:

Thank you NC Gent. Although i dont think he would feel the same! He deleted his account and i went as far to hide mine but changed it. Its funny because his profile was very precise in what he was looking for – but he changed when we met, more wants to have a really real relationship!! Ahh any committment phobic SDs out there! Haha

  63. Taz says:

Lmfao I am sure NCGent…now you get to try and figure out who is who lol..and weed out all the lurkers 😉

  64. NC Gent says:

No problem and good morning Taz — I have been trying to figure out who all the views are — I think I have figured most of them out now – some lurkers here though lol

  65. NC Gent says:

Hi IrishSB — I have learned to always be looking until I have an arrangement, so there is nothing wrong with that. Welcome to the blog – I don’t think I have seen you here before :)

  66. Yaz10 says:

Morning all! Wow lots of new faces :-D!

I have to go to the gym today but I am dragging my feet lol……

  67. Taz says:

Good Morning Sugar Fam!! Welcome to all the newbies :)

NCGent – hope you don’t mind…had a peek at your profile too!

  68. Irish SB says:

*** ahh that was meant to be a sad smiley face!**

  69. Irish SB says:

Hey all been following the blog for a while and wrote once before but had no stories to share but in the last two months that kinda has changed!

There are very few irish SD and those that i sent emails to didnt reply :) being Irish doesnt do you any favours in Ireland!! lol

I meet with a English man who flew over to me after about 3 weeks of emails. God these guy was like a leech the minute he arrived and cudnt take no for a answer totally off putting so not my style. Very glad in that situation that he flew over to me.

But… Some american guy got in contact with me ( he loved the Irish thing!) and we were talking on a phone for a month i knew his full name and place of business so could google him. Wait for this girlies oh and boys he flew me to the states for a week! He had already posted me a present to show he was interested. I was nervous going but he was a gentleman and i had a great time. He brought me shopping, dinner and museams. The talk of allowance never came up and i dont think i could bring it up now as its been a bit long. He wants him to come back and all though i loved it i am using my annual leave and lying to people and have huge phone bills ( he did pay one of them) so an allowance would be nice… Hmm decisions decisions i recently unhiden my profile and have more interest is that wrong??

  70. EastCoastFilly says:

NC Gent: yes I saw it, sent you one back. I try and keep a low profile around here, lol

  71. SweetLittle_K says:

I know what you mean ECF

  72. RedMaru says:

    Morning SweetLittle_K and ECF 😀

  73. NC Gent says:

Hi ECF — I think I saw that and sent you a note – I had actually viewed your profile before not knowing it was you :)

Hi NYGent — I figured that was you who looked at my profile. You are correct that I don’t post pics for discretionary reasons. I also hide my profile, and only email potentials that I am interested in. I actually get about an 80% response rate from initial emails that I send out, but I offer up in my initial email that I have some recent pictures that I can share if they are willing to provide me with an email address. I am very selective (as you are I suspect) to whom I send an email, and I try to pick someone with common interests to mine. I would estimate that I lose very few because of no pic posted– interestingly, I have gotten a few replies that said something such as — I don’t respond to SDs without pics posted, but not very often. I suspect they didn’t read my email very closely but oh well — that is good info too. Sorry for the long-winded response!

  74. EastCoastFilly says:

    Morning Sweetlittle_k and everyone else.
Don’t know why I even looked at the blog when I know I have to run out the door…ugh hard to tear away, lol.

  75. SweetLittle_K says:

    ******a blue member****

  76. SweetLittle_K says:

    Moning EastCostFilly

    An Eagles fan?

I’m a bue member and I missed all the profile sneak peek!

  77. NYGent says:

NC Gent: i notice you don’t post a pic, I guess for discretion purposes. Do you think that cuts down in any way on responses to emails? I hide my profile and only email pots i’m interested in, but was thinking of also taking the pics down and just offering to send them when I email. Of course it’s like proving a negative, you never know who doesn’t respond who might have had you had pics posted.

  78. EastCoastFilly says:

NC Gent, just checked you out. Hope you don’t mind :)

  79. NC Gent says:

    Good morning SweetLittle_K!

  80. NC Gent says:

Good morning RedMaru — I went out about 10:30 pm and I saw one shooting star in about 15 minutes of time — I was a little early or premature as some call it lol

  81. SweetLittle_K says:

Good morning NCGent, Susan, Red and all

  82. RedMaru says:

Morning sugars! Would you believe I got myself all psyched up for the meteor shower as one of my hobbies is astronomy and I ended sleeping through it :( thanks to my workout.
Anybody catch it how was it

  83. NC Gent says:

Hi Susan — not spammers but definitely scammers lol I think we have all gotten those. Delete and block!

  84. Susan says:

Just wondering if anyone has received what appears to be SPAM but from a SeekingArrangement member in their INBOX? I got an e-mail from a member but his writing is nothing like his profile. His english is broken although he is listed as an American, words misspelled, sentences running into each other, asking me to reply to a yahoo address. Red flag went up right away!

  85. NC Gent says:

OK — I don’t post my profile number often. But here you go CASB. It is amazing the number of lurkers out there lol 372812

  86. NC Gent says:

Hi Monica and Full Package — welcome to the blog. Monica if you provide your profile number, we will give you some honest feedback.

Full Package — sounds like you are pretty far in. I would suggest you bring it up next time you talk with him on the phone… maybe subtly mention your finances, but I am not the best at doing things subtly :)

Thanks for all the “love” on the blog SBs — looks like I might have to do some lingerie shopping — oh darn lol

  87. CASB says:

Greetings all! I’m new to this site and have been trying my best to read the blogs the past few days, but goodness, you all post a lot! :)

My curiosity has gotten the better of me on 2 things:
    1. What ever happened to the girl who had the pot date the other day? It was being talked about in the last blog and she never resurfaced.. I think NYGent asked about her whereabouts, but I never saw any updates. That just concerns me a little.
    2. I LOVE reading the advice from the SD’s that come on here. I wish that you guys would post your profiles, I would love to see more about you (NYGent, NCGent, RealisticSD). I realize that SD’s tend to be more discrete than SB’s, but I just love how substantial your personalities are and how friendly and helpful you are to the SB’s here.

And for my first piece of offered advice..
Full Package — If it were me (and I’ve never been a SB before so take this with a grain of salt) I would broach the subject now so he knows that you are, in fact, looking for a monetary allowance. It sounds that by him asking if your “needs were met” and you said that they were exceeding what you needed, that he may think that you’re looking for an emotional connection and support as opposed to monetary, especially since you used your “personal bond” as emphasis. If you don’t bring it up now, he may be surprised when you do the next visit and it will have been wasted time for both of you. Good luck to you!! :)

  88. Full Package says:

    Hi all,
I recently had my first meeting with an amazing man, we have this great connection that is unbelievable to me. He is married and lives in a different city but comes to the city I live in once a month for about a week. We have spent a lot of time together recently, and it has been great. He is leaving in a couple of days and I was wondering if I should broach the subject of an arrangement this trip, or wait till he comes back in a couple of weeks.

I suspect he will miss me when he is gone (as I will him) but I also want to assure him that I am interested… I am also uncomfortable with the money discussion and don’t know how to bring it up. He did ask if my expectations were met, which I told him the truth he has exceeded my expectations fully. I elaborated on our personal bond versus the other stuff…

    Any feedback would be amazing!

  89. Monica Marin says:

hey yall. i hope this website isnt too good to be true
Please check out my profile and let me know what changes i can make, to attract the right guys. im new to the site and im hoping to meet a good SD soon. open to any tips or advice :-) just introducing myself. you ladies and gents will be hearing alot from me

  90. NYGent says:

OC: On the ski trip I think I would go with your gut. Does the guy seem trustworthy/honorable? The fact that you are flying in friday night (presumably kind of late?) and back on saturday night probably diminishes the possibility that he will press for a test drive — it would be different if a sat. nite stayover were involved. So if you want to do it, do it — just keep in mind that if you barely know the guy, there’s a heavy caveat emptor element involved. But as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained . . .

on the name/job issue, did he ask you for yours or did you just volunteer it? If the former, he impliedly agreed to exchange. If the latter, though, I wouldn’t turn his declination into a deal breaker. This topic has come up on the blogs a few times and there are considerable numbers of both SDs and SBs who take the position that they are not willing to reveal their real name until later in the relationship or at least until an arrangement is reached. If there is something about the guy that causes you to doubt his bona fides and this is why you want the name (to google or otherwise check him out), then maybe the vibes aren’t the right ones. But if there are no red flags, I wouldn’t be too rigid on the name thing, at least not this early. I recognize that some SBs (I think Gemi) feel strongly that they want the name before meeting, so if that’s your position it’s your position, I just think it could lead to arbitrarily precluding meeting some decent pots.

  91. Yaz10 says:

Boy, Now I think my profile is too long! Aaaaaargh I give up…

  92. always2sweet says:

back at the blog…am a little sauced lol! I am so addicted to this thing, gonna try to catch up.

  93. Mina says:

Being coy and kittenish gets old after a while anyway, lol
I’m off to bed, good luck with re-writing assignment!

  94. Yaz10 says:

I am trying a different approach in my profile…..very straight forward…Ca passe ou ca casse 😉 lol

  95. Mina says:

    “I’m headless so I can’t speak. I’ve been told I’m a great listener though.”

  96. Yaz10 says:

Yeah I don’t want to put a full face pic on my profile anymore ( apparently I scare people away 😀 ) So I will just post a headless pic lol…enough for them to get an idea of my body shape and skin color lol. If THAT scares them away too then I just don’t know. I will just stick to blogging 😀 LOL

  97. Yaz10 says:

    Lmaooo Mina

  98. Mina says:

Well, do keep us posted. We’ll try to be as helpful as possible, even if you just need to vent a little :)
    Sweet dreams

  99. Mina says:

My profile had pictures of me… That were cut off just below the eyes, ha. If privacy is an issue, I think it’s totally fine to do that and a much better option than not posting any pictures at all. You never know who could be lurking on the site 😉
But if you use pics in which you are cut-ff at the head, be prepared for guys to make jokes about “so if the pictures are accurate, you’re headless?” Hardy har.

  100. Mina says:

That’s not very nice of him.
Is he in your city/ close by? I have met a few potentials without knowing their full name (then again, they didn’t know mine either) but all who wanted to have another go and meet again were more than happy to provide their full name.
On one hand you could say… What’s the harm in just getting coffee or having lunch? But on the other hand, he has a major advantage over you by knowing your name/place of employment.
See, this is exactly why I don’t work! Joking 😉
I guess it’s another one of those “trust your gut” situations. If you’re uncomfortable for any reason at all, don’t go through with it.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

No he lives in a different city, but has a private jet, so arranging to meet is easy. I will heed caution, you think I would learn. lol Trust my gut that is in knots over all the pot stress. I am fighting to keep the fun and humor in all of this and laugh at my stupid rookie mistakes!

Nite all, I will be falling asleep at my desk in the morning!

  101. Yaz10 says:

I will post a headless pic of me ahaha 😀

  102. Mina says:

Perfect… The plan has been unraveled, lol.
I’m sure she wouldn’t mind that at all! There’s so much to do, so many museum exhibits to visit, you’ll hardly notice an absentee SD lol

Did you know he was not prepared to share his full name before your shared yours and your place of employment? I feel like he’s being awfully unfair…

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Mina, I thought he would also share. But my mistake or maybe not.. Let’s see how he responds to my last email. I feel strongly that I will not meet him without that.

  103. Yaz10 says:

Then it is only fair that you at least know his full name!

  104. Yaz10 says:

    Ok I am completely re-writing my profile…

  105. TXSB says:

I can barely keep my eyes open..

    Good Night everyone!

  106. Yaz10 says:

You told him where you work at?

  107. cleo says:

OCSugarbaby you’re a smart cookie, trust your gut.

as long as your safety is assured and you aren’t that worried about the expenses i think you find someone to lend you some nice ski stuff and then you rent your gear.

ohh skiing, i must do that!

  108. TXSB says:

Well, I have casually mentioned to a few friends that I’m dying to go on a short vacation just to get away for a few days and will be looking at “deals”. As for my Saturday night date….lol….I posted about it on the blog that night. Date went great! I can’t wait to see her again! With SD leaving town this Friday…..I think she’s going to be the one consoling me in his absence! :)

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Let’s see the other viable pot has sent me over a dozen pictures. Has told me a great deal about himself, except one thing. He won’t tell me his full name. I know that it can be hard to trust but he has mine. He feels that first we need to meet in a public place (for my comfort) for dinner, then he if WE both agree there is chemistry he will tell me more… like his full name etc. LIKE I was born yesterday! UGH! Such a nice man, but I told him…
“We stand at an impass. I will not under any terms meet someone without even knowing their name.
I have shared mine and also my place of employment with you. Yes, you can always walk away if there is no chemistry. But trust or building trust is linked to the non physical chemistry.”

Am I crazy to meet him without his full name? I don’t think so…

  109. Mina says:

Don’t let the skiing cloud your judgement!

  110. cleo says:

see and i agree with mina too…
mina never challenge the universe like that… unless you really want your life to change

  111. Mina says:

Oh, karma… I’m still waiting for it to bite me in the ass one day.

  112. Mina says:

There are certainly ways to go about it. Giving you the hotel information and confirmation number for separate room in your name, refundable ticket in your name, having cash/debit card on you (just incase, you can never be too careful)
I’ve always been big on trusting your gut instinct and going for whatever seems right, but safety first…

    • OCSugarbaby says:

The ticket and seperate room have been talked about, actually he has made this about my comfort. It is a quick flight for me from CA. I would fly in on friday night and out on Saturday night. Not worried about expenses. I can cover what I would need to if it came to that.
Mina, I am also very trusting. Still I don’t allow myself to be fooled (well too often). Oh how I want to ski! Plus it is a very public resort. But I will sleep on it. Thanks for your input. I have been mulling it over all weekend and hate that I can’t tell anyone but my sugar sisters. Which just happens to be the best place in the world to come when you have doubts like this one. I really think I need the quick get away for a little fresh cold air.

  113. Yaz10 says:

I agree with Dee. I couldn’t have said it better. Be careful…

  114. cleo says:

JustDee hrm you’re right, i hadn’t thought of the karmic debt… i just htink of how much i miss the slopes :)

  115. Just Dee in NC says:

That raises red flags for me, OC. I firmly believe that first meetings should be someplace neutral, with minimal expenses, and close enough to home that either party can break away should they feel uncomfortable, pressured, or simply uninterested. If he flies you to a ski resort and pays all those expenses, you’re racking up an obligation that has to be paid back, even if it is only a karmic debt. If he’s not the same in person, you can’t run home, call a taxi, or have friends come by to get you.

Are you sure he isn’t just hoping to get you on an expensive trip so he can pressure you for a ‘test drive’?

I just think a big trip like that should come after a relationship is established, not as an introduction.

My .02 worth. Your mileage may vary.

  116. Mina says:

    TXSB –
Have you thought of how you’re going to explain it to friends? Start mentioning here and there that you want to take a trip soon… Put the idea in their heads now 😉

Oh and how was your Saturday night date? Lol

  117. cleo says:

OCsugarbaby: well, make him pay for your verified separate room in advance and tell him you don’t have ski gear so he’ll have to take you shopping… and you can always rent the skis/boots.

i don’t know, i love skiing and i too am currently sans clothing (well i have some but it’s old and trashy) but i would be sooo tempted i think i would have to go.

    half a month in advance?

  118. Yaz10 says:

OC: Invite him to the sugar party instead 😉 LOL j/k

For a first meet…I wouldn’t go anywhere with a stranger where I am not familiar with my surroundings……Why don’t you schedule that for the second date?

  119. TXSB says:

    “Dee says:
Met a few who screwed up other parts of the process, but all of them had the right rhythm.”

This literally made me LOL! Priceless comment….. :)

  120. Muse says:

    Dee – sorry. I’m a chocoholic. :)

Mina – I would definitely be down for a sugar party.

  121. cleo says:

if your heart beats and you breathe you have rhythm

  122. Mina says:

    Worst-case-lurker-scenario 😉

  123. TXSB says:

I believe she really was joking b/c I’m always talking about purses/shoes/clothes that I can’t afford. I don’t think she seriously suspects anything…..HOWEVER, once the pics from vacation go up on my FB…it’ll be a different story then. :)

Ok I just saw the video for Kitten Mittens! OMG it’s sooooooo hilarious!

  124. Just Dee in NC says:

OC, I can’t count the number of men who have tried to say they have no sense of rhythm. But they play golf, or they swim, or they play some other sport that has a rhythm that has to be mastered. And I haven’t yet met one who couldn’t get the bedroom rhythm right. Met a few who screwed up other parts of the process, but all of them had the right rhythm.

  125. Yaz10 says:

In the bushes? Lmao Mina! 😀

    • OCSugarbaby says:

What do you guys think of a pot who wants to fly me to a ski resort for our first meet? Yikes, I am tempeted! I love to ski and he is awfully sweet. He is looking for my answer and I have been putting it off. I don’t even have a winter coat any longer! Let alone ski gear.

  126. Yaz10 says:

Let’s do it! A holiday sugar party! Lol!

  127. Mina says:

The lurkers will show up, but will probably hang outside (perhaps in bushes) doing their thing.
    By which I mean lurking.

    Hello Dee!

  128. cleo says:

that’s what dancing is though right? it’s foreplay…

and if they do it right and they lead well and groove with your body your undies will be off before you leave the dance floor! (kidding, but you know what i mean)
JustDee: i can rock climb until my fingers quiver (well i don’t do it anymore but i only stopped this year) but get me to weight lift? forget it!

  129. Just Dee in NC says:

That would be awesome, Yaz! And we’d have a dance floor, so they would have to dance with us.

  130. Just Dee in NC says:

    Hi, Mina!

Muse, you just HAD to mention chocolate. And I was so good at the grocery store yesterday. Not a bit of chocolate or junk food, and a LOT of fresh fruit. There’s not even a miniature Reese’s cup hiding in a corner of the freezer.

  131. Yaz10 says:

OC: We should organize a sugar party for all bloggers to meet up and have a good time and see how many “lurkers” show up LOL 😉

  132. Just Dee in NC says:

Like the Bellamy Brothers once sang, “It’s a vertical expression of horizontal desire.”

  133. Mina says:

    Oh if only she knew…
    Or maybe she did!

  134. TXSB says:

    “Dee says:
If men understood just how erotic dancing really is, and if they understood how eagerly we would show our appreciation after a night of close dancing, there wouldn’t be an empty ballroom in America.”

I 2nd that Amen! Gawd if men only knew……. *sigh*

  135. Yaz10 says:

    Cleo said:

“But there’s just something about dancing as a couple instead of in a line. If men understood just how erotic dancing really is, and if they understood how eagerly we would show our appreciation after a night of close dancing, there wouldn’t be an empty ballroom in America.”

    Amen to that!!!!!!

I took a salsa dance class once and boy did I love it!! There is something about getting close to your partner, coordinating your movements and locking eyes….aaaaah! :-)

  136. TXSB says:

LOL! I went to TJ Maxx yesterday and saw a gorgeous Fendi purse…but even with the TJ Maxx discount, it was still waaaaay out of my price range. I was talking to a girl at work about the purse and she jokingly said, “Why don’t you find a sugar daddy?! Then you can get that purse!”. LOL! I acted “shocked” and told her I could “never do anything like that!”

  137. Mina says:

What book are you reading now or would like to read? (All titles mentioned will be added to the new ’sugar’s choice’ reading list)
Currently reading Buñuel. After this I plan on reading The Birthday Party: A Memoir of Survival followed by Love in the Time of Cholera.

Do you have a dream or goal that a sugar could help you fulfill? Care to share?
    Expand my watch collection.

Sugar Date Weekend Report: Who’s got sugar in their plans this weekend? Care to share?
Not quite, I’m saving all my energy for a Monday Night Football game, so hopefully something lowkey like a trip to a museum is in store. :)

  138. Just Dee in NC says:

At a club, on a dance floor, wearing boots: It’s line dancing, and it’s no work at all.

At a gym, on a wood floor, wearing spandex and tennis shoes: It’s aerobics, and it’s hell.

At the club where I used to go, the DJ had one song that was almost 10 minutes long. I could do the line dance to that song and barely be winded at the end. Try to make me do 10 minutes of aerobics at the gym, and I’d swear I was dying. And it was the same moves, when all is said and done.

But there’s just something about dancing as a couple instead of in a line. If men understood just how erotic dancing really is, and if they understood how eagerly we would show our appreciation after a night of close dancing, there wouldn’t be an empty ballroom in America.

  139. cleo says:

JustDee i used to love line dancing, so much fun and even i could do it well.. lost my dancing friends and never did it again…

  140. Yaz10 says:

OC: Lol why? We don’t bite :-)

NCGent, NYGent, RealisticSD, TexaSD, SG2 are getting nothing but love on this blog lol 😉

  141. Mina says:

Hi everyone! Interesting tidbit of info – A good friend of mine in real life asked about the site and asked if I had heard of it…
    Deny, deny, deny. :)

  142. Just Dee in NC says:

Country western, Cleo. Two step, waltz, nightclub, triple two, cha cha, east coast swing, west coast swing. The only dance I didn’t do was polka. I have never worked so hard in my life, nor have I ever enjoyed anything so much. But it isn’t an inexpensive hobby once you start competing, and our budget lost its “stretch” so something had to go.

  143. cleo says:

    JustDee: what kind of dance?
Muse: yeah well, i’m 38, it’s a lot more work to look like i don’t have to worry than it used to be *grin*

nonetheless, i thank thee for the compliment :)

  144. TXSB says:

LOL…..congrats on the chocolate find! :)

  145. TXSB says:

Hi and also good night! :)

  146. Yaz10 says:

OC: Tell those SDs to come out of hiding 😉

  147. Muse says:

Good news. I found the chocolate.

cleo- that makes sense. From the photos though, it doesn’t look like you have to worry much.

TXSB – I’m not surprised to hear that. The way he speaks on the blog is a clear indication of his intelligence.

  148. TXSB says:

Ah…makes sense if they’re out of town.

Speaking of smart men, my SD is one of those “super smart” men. I was SHOCKED when I read his “background” on his work web site. Sometimes in the middle of our conversations he’ll throw out terms that makes me feel like a 5 year old in school….I stare at him until he finishes talking, pause, and then say “I have no idea what you just said! What does X mean?”. And then like a patient teacher…he explans it all to me. :)

  149. Just Dee in NC says:

Cleo, I went to a local store to get some of the custom-fit bras when I was dancing, not long before going to the World Championships. Talk about lifting up and out!! I couldn’t button the blouse of my costume and had to go buy a new one.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hello Rudy! As you may recall I was the first one to provide you with the following feedback…
You asked for feedback on your profile 405748. First of all you are stunning! What a great smile.
As for your text within your profile. The only thing that stands out is the over-use of the word “I”…
Try to form sentences without it. It will make the readability of your profile so much nicer
Instead of saying… “I went back to school this past year”
Try… “My newly completed education has helped me advance in my career”…

Always willing to send positive feedback to a sugar sister!!!! ~OC

  150. Rudy says:

Hi TXSB and any new SBs :)

Just Dee In NC: Shopping at Victoria’s Secret is enough to make me drool; even more if it’s with a man :)

As for the profile comments: I have requested feedback several times from SBs and SDs on this blog and I anticipate the feedback to be honest whether it is positive or negative. Yaz, TXSB, Flo Rida and others provided feedback when I first joined this blog and it was very helpful, honest but tactful. As RealisticSD mentioned earlier it takes courage to post your profile number on this blog, but it’s possible a really nice SB or SD is missing an opportunity to meet someone wonderful because of poor presentation.

There are some characters on this site, but there are also some very classy and intelligent men too; you have to decide who’s attention you want and cater your profile to such.

I am off to bed another busy day at work tomorrow, I hope everyone has a good night :)

  151. cleo says:

JustDee: notice how i negotiated for different stores? VS bras tend to give me the dreaded armpit boob. but when i find the right bra? man is it good! :)

and thanks for keeping me in mind if he’s not your great guy :)

  152. Just Dee in NC says:

I’m the only one NOT drooling, Cleo. I’ve never seen anything large enough for me there.

TX, we’ll have to singing at the gym together one day. but not your gym or mine. Someplace that if they throw us out or singing, it won’t matter.

Oh and Cleo – I’ll certainly take good notes about the scary smart guy just in case.

  153. Midwest SB says:

Cleo – I just find it odd that someone would come here to make an offer of life insurance only.

  154. cleo says:

MidwestSB: i think so too… and yet, i know there are real people for whom this is the correct kind of arrangement…

    • OCSugarbaby says:

JustDee, thanks for taking care of dinner for me! That is sweet. I have been eating horribly the past month. Actually not eating I should say! Stress gets me every time. I had a pot who at dinner was talking about how would I like to walk into Gucci and they all start scrambling like the scene in Pretty Woman. Then he said you are a 4. I wasn’t sure but I thought he was calling me a 4, like 1-10 and I was a 4. It must have been the moment but I said, Did you just call me a 4! He laughed and said NO a size 4! ok, joke was I need to eat more…

  155. Midwest SB says:

Cleo – he is offering life insurance with me as the beneficiary (when/if he dies). Other than that, it would be a traditional bf/gf relationship. The gift sd would be nice, however I did let him know I still have some financial goals. I’m not sure where that will go.

SDs/ SBs – could a pot sd be testing by just offering gifts? Will they offer financial help when you have it written? I get the feeling there is this hang-up over the transactional aspect.

  156. Midwest SB says:

TXSB – two are from out of town and travelling in that week. The one close by is on vacation and returns then. I want to trust these guys are being legit…especially since there aren’t any other red flags.

Yaz – I get very few replies from well thought-out e-mails. It’s just the nature of the beast combined with supply & demand. Take it for face value and keep trying. You’ve gotta crawl before you walk and your bum will be sore for a while. Bad analogy, I know…it’s late!

  157. cleo says:

Muse: i worry just enough that i don’t have to buy an entirely new wardrobe in “the next size up” otherwise? it’s all good.
TXSB: yeah i do minute on/minute off six times with a ten minute warm up and down. you’re going to make me up that to 8 and then ten times though i see :)
MidwestSB: did he want allowance and insurance or insurance plus gifts? cause the first one sounds okay…
JustDee: man if any of those smart ones are great but not great for you? i live for scary smart men…

and no, since i’m the one who started agitating to accompany him i can surely promise that you are not the only one drooling at the thought of a VC trip with NCGent…

  158. TXSB says:

    Dee & Midwest:
Since I go to a gym that’s usually relatively “busy”, me singing is a bad idea. Either I’ll get kicked out OR the gym will lose members! I’m not joking when I say the following line: Sometimes when I start singing at home, my pets literally get up and go to the other room. :(

Good luck on the date with your chemistry guy! :)

As for lingerie shopping, I have already told SD that him & I are definately going to VS before our trip in Dec. :)

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hi Realistic! I miss your posts! You don’t have to stick up for TXSB, she did nothing wrong except calling me out and now ignoring me… lol
But I was trying to ask that kindness be used not harsh opinions. If the word harsh is anywhere in your post, it just might be harsh. TXSB needs to work this out with me. Sorry…

  159. Yaz10 says:

    I’m back…

    OC, NYGent, Photogirl: Thanks! :-)

I will put a pic up tonight….(Probably just a partial pic of my face) We’ll see…
NYGent: After sending many ( and I mean many) thoughtful emails to pot SDs and not receiving even one reply, I am convinced that
    a) They didn’t like me
    b) They didnt like me
    c) They really really didnt like me 😉
LOL j/k but it has seriously scared me away from emailing anyone again. Rejection is hard to handle and online rejection is the worst ( A person decides whether or not you are their “type” in 10 secs or less based on your profile and 2 pictures..) I just think that if they really like what they see ( and read) then they will contact me…

  160. TXSB says:

    Midwest SB:
Why do the 3 pot SD’s (especially the 1 that’s nearby) want to wait unitl December to meet you?

    Rudy & RealisticSD:
    Hi! :)

  161. Just Dee in NC says:

OC, roasted chicken, french bread, vegetables, fresh fruit and cheese for dessert. I enjoyed it for you. :-)

    We’ll be waiting, Anna Molly!

TXSB, I love to work out to the song “PLay that Funky Music” but I always sing along, and I can’t carry a tune in a bucket with both hands. But considering I haven’t been to the gym in a couple of years, except to turn in my papers to discontinue ….. Ah well, we won’t go there. Maybe I’ll find an SD who will meet me at the gym and kick my butt. 😉

Ding ding ding! Another coffee date for next Monday. Supersmart, scary smart man. Which means, he has advanced degrees in chemistry, the subject that left me blubbering in a corner. Still waiting on the doctor, though.

I’m also on another site, and today when I checked on the new members there, someone I know in real life showed up. He hasn’t looked at my profile, so my guess is that his cut-off for age is younger than I am. and the only pic there is one of my upper face – hair, forehead, eyes. I don’t think he would recognize my eyes in a photo. And I seldom run into him socially. But it was still funny seeing his face staring out of my monitor.

Am I the only one here who isn’t drooling at the thought of a Victoria Secret shopping trip with NC Gent?

  162. RealisticSD says:

OK, off to bed. Maybe I can keep up with the blog better tomorrow.

    Good night all.

  163. RealisticSD says:

NYGent, your question about the total allowance is a good one. The complexity of the issue lies in the fact that no one (including the SB) is sure what exactly the SB wants. Does she want money or luxurious outings and travel? I think most SBs want both, but if one were to set aside a specific amount for an SB, the luxuries would end up depleting her allowance. I think before I have said on the blog that the actual cost of an SB is 150-200% of her allowance once you add in other expenses, and I have come to expect that. Thankfully I can afford it, but I am not really sure how anyone making less than seven figures can truly afford an SB. Unfortunately, I suspect that the other expenses are not taken into account by most SBs. Another option would be to tell an SB up front that you can afford $X and no more, so if she wants the full X, then none of the other perks of being an SB. But I enjoy those perks myself. Why would I travel alone when I can take an SB along?

  164. RealisticSD says:

As for Lorena’s pics, they don’t look like an escort because of the low quality cell phone shot, the messy bed in the background, the fact that not too much skin is showing due to her choice of lingerie, etc. But I agree with what others have said—lingerie pics will only attract the wrong type of SD, and in general, they are automatic deletes for me. As for the second pic, just in general, when there is a face only shot of a girl with the body lower and to the back of her face, it looks like someone is doing the girl doggy-style, lol! One of my best female friends has a facebook pic like that and the guys always comment on that.

OC, in your pictures you are fully clothed, not in lingerie. I agree though that it does take a lot of courage to put a profile number on the blog and to have everyone judge you, so those stating their opinions should be honest yet courteous. Personally, I didn’t think TXSB was or meant to be rude, and knowing her in person, I can say that she has a very blunt and honest personality, which I personally see as a positive.

  165. Rudy says:

Wow! Lots of activity on the blog today :)

Lisa: I hope your daughter feels better soon

For those who like sushi; you should come to TN sometime there are so many great sushi restaurants.

For the Victoria’s Secret fans: That is by far my FAVORITE store :)

I received an email from a pot SD today and he sounds like a winner, but I am not getting my hopes up and playing it safe. This blog has been very helpful for a newbie like me. I have actually noticed some of the SD types that I need to stay away from…i.e. time wasters and there are so many photo collectors on here. Thanks everyone for all the advice and help. I will keep you posted on the pot SD.

I hope all of you haven’t disappeared :( I am in a different time zone so I miss all the activity.

  166. Midwest SB says:

Far from typical…but it makes for interesting conversation. I know I haven’t been at this too long, but I do hope something comes to fruition soon. I have three that have asked to meet and they all want to meet in the first week of Dec. Two are pot LDRs and one is fairly close. This ought to be interesting. I hope to meet them now instead of waiting until after Christmas. This is a good lesson in patience! I just hope I’m not being led on.

  167. lara says:

    Gnight Anna!

I am sure you guys have a lot of interesting offers. I think the sky is the limit with the human mind! Real life is better than any film scenario.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hey Lara, I accepted your IM request late last night from my iPhone, but didn’t see your message until this morning. This will be fun!

  168. TXSB says:

    Hi Photo, Lara, and Muse!

    Good night Anna!

Well, you gotta give him credit for being original! It’s definately not a “typical” SD offer!

  169. Midwest SB says:

    Nite Anna. Enjoy the show.

  170. Midwest SB says:

Funny thing is, based on what I know outside of the “creativity” he could be someone I would date IRL. We all have our quirks, but that is certainly the most unique one I have seen…ever.

  171. Anna Molly says:

Well ladies and Gents (if they’re still out there), I’m off to bed…I’ll give an update tomorrow evening. Nite Nite :)

  172. TXSB says:

My timing on HIIT is usually 20-30 seconds run and then rest for the same amount of time and then jump right back on. I usually do 6 or 6.5 on incline with a speed of 7 or 7.5. I usually do my on/off routine for 15 minutes. If my trainer is standing next to me he makes me go for 20 minutes.

  173. lara says:

    Hi Midwest,

I can only say that some people are very creative and they like to have fun with their creativity. Now not everybody thinks about creativity in the same way….

  174. Midwest SB says:

    Hi Lisa, TXSB and Lara!

TXSB – I KNOW! He wants a traditional relationship with a multi-million dollar life insurance policy. I think he likes the thought that at any given moment I would be thinking of ways to collect on the policy…very odd.

Don’t give up the singing! It will be entertaining regardless of your skill!

  175. Anna Molly says:

    I love hot cocoa :)
    with marshmallows :)
I don’t drink very often, so one glass of wine would most likely put me under the table…lol

You’re right about the outfit :)

  176. TXSB says:

    Midwest SB:
    Life insurance daddy?!! Yikes…..

Regarding men’s outfits: I looove men who wear suits and “dress up”.

I can’t or rather *should not* listen to music when I work out. I have a tendency to start singing and moving with the beats. :(

  177. lara says:

    Hi everybody.

Definitely suit is waaaay too sexy for me especially if it’s played down a bit with some nice shirts.

I will go to check the meteorites. Hope did not lose the show.

  178. Midwest SB says:

Anna – that sounds like a perfect evening…although I might trade the cocoa for some wine :-)!

I’m exactly the same way about date outfits…I will have something picked out, then change my mind at the last minute. It does usually work out well though. Just remember…he’s already interested, so for him the rest is a bonus!

  179. Anna Molly says:

LOL Midwest SB, I know what you mean. I’m going to try and get up early to watch for a little while. I really need to get my telescope out, I haven’t used it in forever.

I would love to find a SD to star gaze with :)
Let’s not forget the warm fire, hot cocoa, lots of blankets and a comfortable spot to lay down…sigh.

I’m still analyzing the date outfit…ugh. He did email me and told me to dress casual. I’ll continue to analyze until I run myself late and then I’ll just throw something on and not be happy with it. I always do this…sigh.

  180. lisa says:

    Good evening

I prefer a man in a suit or a nice dress shirt and tie anyday to sweatpants or those horrible cargo shorts men where year round here.

  181. Midwest SB says:

Hi Anna! I need two of me…one to stay up, watch meteor showers and play….one to work. *sigh* I would love to watch it, but doubt I will get that far! Have you decided on a date outfit?

  182. Anna Molly says:

Edit ~ It should say morning…lol

  183. Anna Molly says:

NC ~ You’ll want to be outside tonight for the meteor shower between 1:AM and dawn. Asia will have the best seat for the shower with 200 to 300 meteors per hour; the US should see about 20 to 30 meteors per hour.

  184. Muse says:

I can’t keep up this week.

NYGent- That’s not always true. I always found a man in a suit (or tux) to be somehow so much sexier than a man in jeans or sweats. This has applied since around age 12 when I started noticing the opposite gender.

NC Gent – Ok, ok. Twist my arm. I’ll go to VS with you. 😉

Lisa – That is craziness. I can’t believe they did that to you.

Anna – If there is a question as to what is appropriate, always go for the slightly dressier option. I’d rather show up at a casual cafe in a little black dress than at a nice restaurant in jeans.

I have absolutely nothing to contribute to the body-image and exercise conversation. Apart from yoga and long walks, I don’t exercise and I love my body (and food.) Always have. Always will. I prefer to worry about more interesting things than what size I wear. Like where I put that box of gourmet chocolates….

  185. I’ve seen the “Account deleted due to inappropriate content” phrase before, so perhaps she deleted it.

I would have guessed you know about the “find” feature…don’t know of any other.

To answer my own question about seeing who viewed my profile when I renewed, the answer is yes it went all the way back to the expiration date. I did notice that ALL of them are profiles that I had viewed. Poses the question of does SA “make” that happen to increase the renewal rate? I know I don’t get a ton of hits from searches, but I KNOW that I do get some!

  186. NYGent says:

another q: if a profile says “account deleted” does that mean the person deleted him/herself or that the admin found something offensive/improper and deleted it (or maybe could be either). I ask bec I corresponded with a pot whose profile kept changing in weird, inconsistent ways and I came to believe she was a total fake and now it says “profile deleted,” so maybe she gave up or the admin concluded she was indeed fake and deleted her.

  187. photogirl says:

Ahh yes, forgot about the ctrl F.

  188. NYGent says:

photogirl: yest, i was afraid of that. . .

  189. NYGent says:

midwest, yes i know “find” feature, i was wondering if there is a way to search all the archives simultaneously for a phrase, or if you have to go blog by blog.

  190. photogirl says:

NYGent – Yes, there is. Go to ‘Edt’ on your browser window toolbar and then ‘Find on this page…’ it will bring up a search box. Unfortunately you’ll have to go to each individual blog to do this search.

  191. NYGent – I tend to remember which blogs, then use the “find” feature (ctrl F) and enter the phrase I’m looking for. Put the phrase in quotes if you know it will be an exact match.

  192. NYGent says:

Is there a way of searching past blogs for specific words, phrases? Often i want to go back to something but can’t remember exactly which blog and it’s extremely time-consuming to have to go thru them all.

  193. Do any of you know…. can see who has viewed me from when my premium expire if I renew? It’s been about 10 days and the activity is up. I’m curious.

  194. NYGent says:

OC: now you sound like the Wizard of O(C)Z.

  195. NYGent says:

yaz i agree with OC. If you really want contacts you need at least one pic minimum. if on the other hand you are taking a breather from meeting or contacting pots then fine. of course you can always email SDs directly, nothing wrong with that (a subject of much discussion on prior blogs), and offer to send pics with your email.

  196. photogirl says:

Thanks OC! It appears that a long distance pot has either lost interest or is buried in work. It has me a bit confused based on our conversations.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

I will sent the email tonight. I like to think that all the pots that Poof’d are all on a island together without a single woman to be found! lol

  197. photogirl says:

OC – We are fortunate to have friends like that in our lives. Mine did something similiar for me. I agree, many women are givers and tend to forget about themselves. You can’t take care of anyone or expect anyone to love you when you don’t take care of and love yourself. Not only “treat others as you wish to be treated” but also “treat yourself as you wish others to treat you” :)

  198. cleo says:

    oh and re body image?

remember that you have the loudest voice you hear, be very careful what you say to yourself.

a good rule of thumb is to ask yourself if you would say that to your best friend (or let her say it to herself.)

and if you WOULD say something like:

oh my gawd those saddle bags are so huge honey i can’t believe you can even shop in the regular girl section! and that muffin top? wow is your gut ever getting…

if you would say something like that to your best friend ? or let her say it to you or herself? y’all maybe should reconsider your friendship. next time you say something mean to yourself? answer back.

“oh man look at those collarbones, are they ever awesome”
“it’s so great how strong my thighs are, they let me walk for hours”
“my eyes look very happy today”
“i look great in this colour”

eventually (like oc said) you’ll start to believe it

  199. cleo says:

TXSB: i mix endurance cardio and hiit cardio. today i did ninety minutes (25 miles) on my stationary bike, wednesday too but friday i’ll do the half hour version of hiit (i like to warm up for a while or i can’t hit it hard enough to make it feel like i’m really doing it.

what time interval does your trainer use when you do HIIT? i kind of made my set up

  200. photogirl says:

Yaz10 – Sometimes you just need to take the lead in that dance. 😉

Midwest SB – Post It idea is great. I have a few words of wisdom(written by a friend) posted on my visor in my car, so I see it everyday.

    Good evening everyone!

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hi ya Photo! A girlfriend from work put one on my computer. After months of my going back and forth or I should say being sucked back into my old boyfriends charms! She would see me being upset or closing myself off to dating and she told me to love myself more. I give to others and forget about myself. So her Post-it note says… “I love ME more” silly but when I see it it makes me rememeber that I deserve to be happy…

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Oh Photo I have some pot SD profile numbers I will send off to you. Florida and very sweet!

  201. Yaz10 says:

OC: My premium membership will expire in about a week or two…If I do decide to renew it then I will do just what you said but I doubt it will change anything…lol Nobody wants to dance with me 😉

  202. Just Dee in NC says:

Thanks, Yaz and OC. I get the feeling he may be looking more for a playmate or sex toy, but I’ll give him a shot.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Now I can’t stop thinking about chicken, thanks Dee
Midwest you are right on the mark with the body image. Confidance is priceless. Fake it til ya feel it! Advice both good and bad can be said with a bit of sugar. But now TXSB is off pouting and not speaking to me. lol

      • OCSugarbaby says:

Yaz, timing is a huge part of Sugar dating. The pots that I had the last two weeks all had to do with timing. One went back to his old SB and one is MIA. But this is a new week and it brings a whole new set of adventures. You need to play to win! Kinda like Lotto. lol
Plus, I know so many Pots that are adicted to lurking on the blog. You never know who is reading your posts. But I know… lol

  203. haileygirl says:

NYGent.. my email is jessicapo134 at yahoo

  204. Evening sugars! I missed a ton in 24 hours, but here aremy $0.02…

NYGent – I put my allowance as 1-3K in hope that it would be a cash allowance. So far, a few men I have talked with are ok with it, but there are others who want to give gifts, etc…Oh and let’s not forget the life insurance daddy :-)

Text etiquette – sometimes I have abruptly ended text conversations due to distractions – certainly not out of habit or inconsideration.

Dress codes – No holes, no flip flops and don’t show too much of any one thing and you should be ok in most situations. I may be showing my age, but I LOVE a man in a suit, especially if he wears a seasonal color with it.

Advice – if you ask for advice be prepared for the good and the bad. I didn’t read the actual post, but generally speaking everyone here means well. The unfortunate part about this form of communication is that we can’t interject much emotion or edit/delete once the post goes up.

Body Image – Ladies, we are our worst critics. Once you realize that most men do not see what we consider faults, the more relaxed you can become about meeting someone new. I have learned to appreciate everything about my body and it reflects in my confidence and sexuality. Take a post-it note, write “you are beautiful” and stick it to your mirror. While you at it, leave one on the store dressing room mirror, public bathroom mirror and school mirrors….spread the word!!

  205. Yaz10 says:

OC: Lol no….I just deleted my pictures thats all…Now I don’t get any views at all! Haha

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Why don’t you add a pic of just part of your face as your main picture and state in your profile that you will send more when the situation dictates. You really should at least put up one pic!

  206. lisa says:

I love to walk. Used to walk several miles a week when I first moved to Houston. Can’t do it anymore though, just an occasional walk to and from the store when I have time. It’s good for getting rid of stress.

  207. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: Yes, one thing I do is start by walking for a bit and then slowly increase the pace and then start running. No trainer for me so I usually listen to my ipod the entire time :-) ( Always choose music that makes you want to dance!! :-) )
I also like selecting the “hill” option when I am running too. I am usually lost in my little world once I start running…… lol I have so many different things running through my mind….. Oh and I try to avoid looking at the clock!!

  208. DesertBunny says:

No need to worry! All is well! Off line :)

  209. lisa says:

ouch I’m afraid to try that as wouldn’t it make me sore the next day? I have to be on my feet all at work and do alot of walking so I can’t deal with having paid or stiffness the next day.

  210. TXSB says:

    Thanks! That makes sense…. :)

I used to do donkey kicks but these days, my trainer has me doing weights 90% of the time (the lunges/squats etc are all done with weights in hand) and the rest of the time I do cardio or some conditional “stuff”.

Yaz, I can’t imagine being on the treadmill for 45 min! My trainer got me doing HIIT so I’m usually on it for like 15-20 min max.

  211. Yaz10 says:

You get on all fours (knees together).

Keeping the leg in the same position lift it back until your thigh becomes parallel to the floor while squeezing your buttocks. ( Once in a while, try to hold your leg up in the air and squeeze your buttocks haaaaaaard! Ouch! You WILL feel the burn lol)

For a more effective an harder workout try adding ankle weights.

    Repeat 12-20 times.

    Repeat on the other leg.
    This equals one Rep.
    Repeat for 2 more reps

  212. Yaz10 says:

    Hahaha 2sweet I agree 😉

    • OCSugarbaby says:

DesertBunny??? You are ALIVE! OMG! So worried about you. But we can chat off line! Tons to catch up on. Call or Txt or email me!!! :)

  213. lisa says:

    what is a “donkey kick”?

  214. always2sweet says:

off to my sister’s to make cupcakes with my nieces! later sugars!

  215. Yaz10 says:

    Good luck Dee!!!! :-)

  216. Yaz10 says:

That is one thing I feel very blessed about…I hate working out and when I do I am usually running on the treadmill for a good 45 mins. But I have never had to lunges or squats for my bum 😉 It’s just….natural 😉
I do keep the firmess or…”roundness” by doing the “kicks” on all fours tho lol!

  217. always2sweet says:

Donkey kicks with a resistance band! Will make you beg for mercy, but beg for more when you see how great they make your lower half look!

  218. lisa says:

I was 39, it was a little over 4 years ago. My daughter who was 14 at the time hacked my email, and she and my mom read the personal emails between him and me. My mom even got his phone number and started calling his cell. I moved within of 3 days of finding this out. It’s weird as I am still seeing him and he’s actually my longest relationship. He’s older than me but unfortunately not a sd. I am still trying to meet my sd, if I can get the time off and if he’s still interested. I think he might have grown tired of waiting. I have a tendency to think before I do and it has caused me to lose many opportunities so I guess I need to act more on impulse. As far as the lunges and squats, not sure I could do that as I have chronic pain from having to constantly bend my knees at work when I’m working on shelves. My job seems to suck up all my physical energy as I dont’ even feel like taking the trash out when I get home.

  219. NYGent says:

TXSB: i meant i think they can see both, if that wasn’t clear

  220. Just Dee in NC says:

Coffee date tomorrow, late morning. Will let y’all know how it goes. He has a sense of humor and actually understands mine, which is a good start.

If I don’t get this chicken in the oven, we’re going to be eating TV dinners tonight. Later!!!

“Donkey kicks” are the best. Hold for a min or 2 and squeeeeeeeeze hard! It will burn like hell but boy will you love looking at your butt in the mirror after a few weeks.

  222. TXSB says:

That’s awesome! After going through countless lunges, squats, and deadlifts in the past few months….I’m also quite fond of my bum these days. Pants/dress definately look “different” now…. :)

  223. Yaz10 says:

I love my bum lol! 😀 It looks so good in tight dresses and even in my work pants 😉

  224. TXSB says:

Yes….it’s awesome when the weight is in all the “right” places. When I’m working out, I always remind my trainer where he needs to focus on. :)

Oh geez…yes I remember you mentioning the detective thing before. How old were you when this happened? Did you ask them why on earth they have a picture of him?

Oh and for your butt……TONS of lunges and squats……you’d be amazed at the difference. :)

  225. lisa says:

I want that top heavy, itty bitty bottom porn star body. lol

    I hate my butt

  226. Yaz10 says:

I finished reading the little discussion about height and weight lol and boy do I feel like the fattest girl around here. Ha.
I am 5”6 and I weight 155 pounds and I do not want lose any of them :) I love the shape of my body! 😀 Everything is right where it is supposed to be, medium size chest, slim waist, and round and firm…ahem ( you know). 😀 I wouldnt want to change a thing! I love to wear curve hugging dresses because they are so feminine and HOT! Lol

But I still remain the nerdy girl no one wants to dance with 😉

  227. lisa says:

TXSB: it’s odd that my parents went to extremes to hire a detective to follow me when I met my lover and even took pics and all, and I was told to stop seeing him or move out, which I did. At the same time, if he were to leave his wife and I was to marry him (not something that is going to happen as he has a good marriage) my mom would be thrilled. It’s just weird seeing a pic of him in their apartment.

  228. TXSB says:

    Ah ok….Thanks Yaz & NY!

I’m reading the article on Yahoo about the mom who tortured & murdered the 8 year old boy in 2006…..the details are sooo sad. :(

  229. NYGent says:

    TXSB: i’m pretty sure both.

  230. Yaz10 says:

Dont think so…They will prob see your basic info ( Name, headline, small profile pic) but once they click on it it will say “profile not available”. I think….

  231. TXSB says:

If my profile is hidden….if I view someone’s profile, if they’re a premium member, are they able to see that I viewed their profile AND look at my profile even though mine is “hidden”?

    • OCSugarbaby says:

TXSB if you view anyone’s profile while yours is hidden they will SEE YOU! :)

      • OCSugarbaby says:

JustDee, Have fun on your date tomorrow. I will think good sugar thoughts. Someone who gets you (humor among other things) wins the prize! Can’t wait to hear the report. Crossing fingers and toes!!!

  232. always2sweet says:

    Thanks TX! :)

  233. TXSB says:

LOL @ the picture of your lover hanging over your parents sofa! Soooo random…. :)

Hehehe….ok….sending good vibes to your way too! :)

  234. NYGent says:

haileygirl: TXSB has my email also

  235. RedMaru says:

I’m good NC Gent just working and get ready to leave work to work out.
Working on get back on track with workout routine
    Thanks for the meteor info

    Hey Yaz 😀

Im off sugarfam! Catch y’all later

  236. always2sweet says:

can you send some good SD vibes my way too TX? lol. My luck with finding an SD has sucked thus far

  237. TXSB says:

Sending good vibes your way with the new position. :)

When I had a amount posted in my profile, that was the cash allowance I expected each month. I didn’t/don’t expect any “extras” such as gifts/travel etc……I count all of that as a “bonus”. It’s GREATLY appreciated but not expected.

    NC Gent:
Just for the record I personally did say something when you and SG2 were called FOS and all the other “stuff”. As for the text etiquette, when I’m having a “convo” through texts, I do say “bye” or “brb” or “ttyl” before just dissappearing. IMO that’s just having basic good manners. Sorry to hear about the “poof SB”…..Good luck w/ the new one! :)

My e-mail is tx_sb at hotmail.

  238. always2sweet says:

HOORAY for a great lunch TX!

  239. TXSB says:

Got got back from a wonderful lunch with SD! :) Among other things, I learned that his “drama queen SB” right before me was the hottest SB he’s had! *rolls eyes* I won’t see him for like 12 days next week…..I dunno how I’ll deal with that. :( Catching up on the blog now…..

  240. always2sweet says:

Im wondering that too…everyone just disappeared!

  241. Yaz10 says:

Ok I am done reading everything….. Where did everyone go? :-(

  242. Yaz10 says:

    Wow have I missed a lot….

  243. lisa says:

    Good afternoon
Back from visiting with parents. My daughter was sick and had to leave work, so she met us over at the mall and I walked back with her to her apartment. First time i’ve seen my family’s new place. Very small two bedroom apartment maybe 100 feet bigger than my one bedroom but much better area. I was reminded of why I could never live with them again, they are so messy. Funny too that they have a picture of my lover that my daughter printed off of facebook hanging over their sofa, very odd.

  244. NC Gent says:

Hi Red Maru – forgot to ask how you were doing. If you look to north/northeast after about 10 pm, but the later the better. Should be a great night for it in NC at least.

  245. RedMaru says:

NC Gent – Sorry bout your “poof” but keeping my fingers crossed for your second one. She’ll be lucky to get ya!

  246. RedMaru says:

    Hey AnnaMolly 😀
That meteor shower is tonight I wonder where in GA I can see it

  247. NC Gent says:

Hi RedMaru — doing well. I think the pot SB that I have spent about 10 weeks getting to know has poofed. I have another pot SB that we are trying to get together – she is an experienced SB so I feel like she won’t be overcome with guilt.

Anna — I am in the environmental business. I think that is vague enough to give you a rough idea. I will have to check the sky tonight for shooting stars — thanks for the tip!

  248. NYGent says:

hailey yes but i’m not posting it anymore. too many lurker emails from nowhere. Anna Molly has it, Taz too, a couple others.

  249. Anna Molly says:

Meteor shower tonight…it would be nice to have someone to watch it with :)

  250. haileygirl says:

NYGent – have a question for you… do you have an email address? Thank you!

  251. RedMaru says:

Wow turn my back to do some work and I miss stuff I should have learned my lesson by now 😀

Hey NC Gent 😀 how are you? And I also feel its common courtesy when engaging in text convo to say bye or catch your later if one has to go.

  252. always2sweet says:

well I am definately a part of the text generation and yes, if you are at work and killing boredom that is a different story, but just texting while you are at home just sitting around…well thats just supid. I actually posted on my Facebook once that I loved how people utilize every know form of communication, except for actually talking lol. The worst is when people are constantly texting while they are “spending time” with you. That is just beyond rude! And now that I have ranted about texting I think I need to stop lol.

JustDee you are so right, the gents could pretty much consider the blog their own personal sugar bowl lol.

  253. Anna Molly says:

NC ~ What kind of work do you do? You don’t have to answer if you’re not comfortable talking about it here. My curiosity is getting the better of me though :)

  254. NC Gent says:

Thanks for your perspective always2sweet — I actually kind of half-heartedly complained about it once and was told that older people don’t understand text etiquette. Needless to say, that pot SB never materialized. I do text convos sometimes when I am at work, on boring conference calls, etc. Not perfect but they can be kind of entertaining.

  255. Anna Molly says:

I would write back and just say “O.K. talk to you then” or something of that nature. It would bother me if I didn’t write a little something. That’s just MHO.

  256. always2sweet says:

    HAHAHAHA AM that is great!

  257. cleo says:

    okay a similar etiquette question

if you’re exchanging long emails with someone and they send you a brief one that says ‘away for the weekend, get back to you next week’ or such like… are you supposed to answer that one or just wait?

my instinct is to just wait

  258. Anna Molly says:

I can’t even text, I don’t have a phone with a keyboard. It takes me 20 min. just to say “hi, how are you”….ugh.

  259. Just Dee in NC says:

NC and NY Gents, has it occurred to the two of you that you could just about have your pick of the women on the blog??

TX and RX, try Kim Harrison, beginning with “Dead Witch Walking.”

For an author who writes some incredibly erotic scenes, look for Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander.” It’s the first book in a series and in my opinion it’s the best book in the series.

If you ever need a good cry, Audrey Niffenegger’s “The Time Traveler’s Wife” is just what the doctor ordered. Fabulous fabulous fabulous fabulous. I didn’t see the movie – they changed the ending and my daughter said that the change took away from the impact of the entire story. Although at the moment it’s at the $1.50 theater across town so I may see it soon after all.

I’ll have to go over to my LibraryThing.com account and get my list of books that I’ve reviewed or starred. If you need a recommendation, believe me, I can give you a long list.

TX and Anna, I have questions for both of you that I’d like to ask off the blog. Can we exchange emails? NC Gent, if you have either lady’s email, you can feel free to send them mine. Or let me add this:

HEY BLOG ADMIN!! Please give Anna Molly and TXSB my email address!

Got an email from a doctor on another site today. Let’s see if he can pass my “smart-aleck” test. :-)

Time for me to head over to the containment area and back. If you see someone waving, NC Gent, that’s me!

    Catch y’all later.

OH- PS – Hey Felicity, are you a Doctor Who fan? I thought I saw an advert that said the most recent special was supposed to air yesterday in the UK – “The Waters of Mars.” I was just wondering if you knew whether it was in fact on. We won’t get it on television here until a week before Christmas, so I have to rely on folks who upload it to Veoh.com and Alluc.org to watch the full program (it gets edited so commercials can be added over here).

    Okay, really gone now.

  260. always2sweet says:

it IS rude and unacceptable. Simple common coutesy is just that, it doesnt die, just because the form of communication has changed. I personally HATE text convos with a firey passion. I think ‘if you have that much to say to me then just call’, plus to me texting gives way to a lot of miscommunication.

  261. Anna Molly says:

NC ~ I would consider that rude. I will never end a conversation without saying good bye.

  262. cleo says:

NCGent: i have a classic navy suit i save for funerals…

i used to love that suit, now i’m sad whenever i need it

  263. Anna Molly says:

Hmmm, I’ve never been or ever will be an expert witness so I only dress up for funerals.

  264. NC Gent says:

ok question on texting etiquette — if you are going back and forth texting with someone (I mean not like one or two short texts but a conversation), is it ok to just stop responding without saying bye, or busy, or ttyl? I have had that happen to me with a few younger SBs — I think it is kind of rude, but would like other’s perspective on it. I know texting back within a day or less is reasonable but just ending a convo with someone buy going AWOL/MIA is unacceptable to me — maybe I am showing my age lol

  265. NC Gent says:

Yeah — the only time I dress up is when someone dies or if I am in court (usually as an expert witness thankfully).

  266. Anna Molly says:

Everybody likes to dress up now and then….I do :)

  267. cleo says:

NCGent: it’s funny, it’s all about perspective. when i worked in an office i wanted to wear clothing that felt like pyjamas when i wasn’t at work…

now i wear yoga style tights/tops for work (as you can see in my profile) and i LIVE to dress up and wear heels…

  268. NC Gent says:

ummm sorry SG2 — I was actually the only one called cheap and you were not lumped with me on that one — you must be more generous than me 😉

  269. NC Gent says:

In my line of work, a suit is looked down upon for the most part. I actually like that, but I do miss dressing up once in a while. I put in my profile that I don’t wear suits or designer clothes, hmmmm maybe that is why I seem to attract the 30ish and under crowd.

  270. always2sweet says:

Im right on the line at 25, but I love a well dressed man! Think its part of my attraction to “older” men. Guys my age, atleast most of them, just dont know how to dress.

  271. cleo says:

    mmm suits…

so i fall right into line with that NYGent

  272. SouthernGent2 says:

NC Gent – were we called cheap also? I had forgottent that one little cruel word lol

  273. SouthernGent2 says:

Anna Molly – dress up to the business casual level. If you sense a choice at the restaurant of casual or business casual, always take the highest level. Just the smart and respectful thing to do. And your potential should be doing the same thing.

  274. NYGent says:

Due to my line of work I own about 15 suits, and 5 or so “business” sport jackets, plus another 5 or so casual sport jackets, and I actually wear maybe 30% of them. Goodwill here I come . . .

Interestingly, I find that SBs 30+ tend to like men in suits, at least occasionally, while women under 25 tend to think of men in suits as, well, “suits,” which isn’t a positive to them. Of course there are exceptions but that’s what I’ve experienced.

  275. always2sweet says:

NYGent I personally would think that that $$ amount posted would mean just an allowance, but one could never be 100% sure until they actually spoke to that SD/SB. I think the sugar world is definately filled with a lot of grey areas

  276. Anna Molly says:

Yay! I’m a jeans kinda girl anyway :)

  277. NC Gent says:

OK – I am coming to NYC in early December — it will be casual definitely with me — I only own one suit, and a few sport jackets.

  278. Anna Molly says:

    NC ~ I’m waiting for ya 😉

  279. NC Gent says:

There is a restaurant that I go to often and it says casual elegance as the dress style — I always thought of it as an oxymoron too. Just means no jeans, no t-shirts, no sandals or sneakers. That pretty much gets you into most place in this economy unless it is suit-and-tie — but ask him what he is wearing Anna — I usually tell my pot SB what I am wearing, and he may like that you are showing that interest :)

  280. Anna Molly says:

    Thanks NYGent, once again :)

  281. NYGent says:

Since most SBs seem to treat the $$ figure as allowance only, when you see the SD’s $$ figure do you assume that is allowance only, or “all in?”

AM: the difference between “casual” and “business casual” these days is pretty thin. As long as “casual” istn’t taken to mean tee shirt and shorts and sandals, just about anything above that will not get you thrown out of, or even scrutinized at, a place that says “business casual.” If it says “casual elegant” that’s something else (and itsn’t that an oxymoron anyway?).

  282. NC Gent says:

I always wonder that too NY Gent, and when stating my allowance range I usually give a dollar amount plus entertainment, travel, gifts, etc. It is a bit confusing.

2 Chic — I cross my legs sometimes when I sit. Most people describe me as masculine. I wouldn’t read too much into it. When I was younger I was afraid to do that because of a stigma. Now I just do it because it feels comfortable sometimes — easier on my back from some reason. However, it is a cross-legged foot parallel to ground versus cross-legged footing pointing downward cross -that is too feminine even for me — but I wouldn’t judge by it at all — as you age, you care less what people think, and just do what is comfortable — at least IMHO.

Just as an observation, SG2 and I were called arrogant, FOS, and cheap and there wasn’t too much outrage on that — to me, that was a personal attack and far worse than suggestions and opinions.

  283. Anna Molly says:

I don’t have an amount listed, but if I did it would be just for the allowance. I think it would be hard to estimate how much you are going to spend on someone as far as gifts are concerned.

  284. Happy Lurker says:

    Hello Felicity,
Wow you make me proud of myself.
For the first time ever I have a lady swoon.
Wish I had been there in that room with you.
Then we could act out the famous scene from Gone with the Wind in which Red Butler swoops Scarlet O’Hara up in his arms and trods immediately to the bedroom. Lol !
But talking about Salisbury, my words are true.
For me it is a sacred place, just as the beach over here where I take my power walks and feel empowered.
Salisbury Cathderal had been built on a vortex, great lines of energy.
I have learned that the place that you love sincerely, also loves you back.
It may sound nonsense to you, but since ancient times mankind has recognised there is power in forests and stones and trees etc.
When I am in the Cathedral Close I feel it embraces me, so to speak.
To quote the opening lines of the Prologue to the Canterbury Tales:
“Whan that Aprille with his shoures sote
“The droghte of March hath perced to the rote …
    In April nature awakens.
For me it seems a great moment to visit Salisbury again.
Yes, let’s have tea and scones and clotted cream. Cholesterol ! Lol !
I just love it. Just like a full English cooked breakfast.
An Italian friend of mine referred to it as a “heart attack on a plate”.
What a coincidence, I have already started slimming and lost 2 kilos in one week. Nothing drastic, just want to shed 5 kilos to return to my preferred weight of 72 kilos.
Someone earlier mentioned an X-mas wish list.
Allow me to send you a book for X-mas.
I am sure you will enjoy it, as we share so many interests in literature.

P.S. don’t know how to react to your remark about chest sizes. BLUSH !

  285. always2sweet says:

when I had an amount posted, I suppose I felt that it was just for an allowance, and not considering any other gifts or expenses. Now I have it as open, which I will probably change back to a specific $$ amount when I update my profile

  286. Taz says:

I think perhaps it is personal to everyone NYGent. Personally the amount listed in my profile is what I am seeking for allowance. The extra spoiling and such is ‘nice’, but I am trying to pay of debt and get back to school, so that is my preference…

  287. Anna Molly says:

O.K., after doing research on the place where he said to meet, I now have a delima. The cafe says casual dress, but the grill says business casual and I don’t know which one we’re going to. Should I ask him which would be appropriate, or should I just dress business casual. What should I do?

  288. NYGent says:

I’m going to suggest changing the topic and pose a question. I sense a gap or disconnect on the $$ listing on SD vs. SB profiles. The “book” says a SB’s statement about “amount of financial assistance I require” is just the allowance portion. Yet the same book tells SDs to post a $ number that includes allowance and extras (travel, gifts, etc.) If both SBs and SD’s followed that advice there would be a gap somewhere in between. SBs: when you say, for example, $3-$5K, does that mean you’re looking for an allowance of that amount, and then extras on top? SDs: when you post $3-$5K does that mean including extras? How to bridge the gap (if one exists), other than through explanatory text in the profile?

  289. 2Chic says:

Yes he is tall,.. that makes sense. OK, starting to feel good here. Thanks for that info.

  290. Taz says:

In TXSB’s defense – telling her not to give advice on profiles is a bit mean. I asked for advice on my profile not too long ago and some of the feedback I was given was harsh – but it was true (from their perspective) and I did appreciate it all…

  291. Felicity says:

OCSB – of course I understand, thank you for sharing. I’m not as caught up emotionally in the search as I thought I might get, so I believe I’m finally finding balance in my life – I’m in a great place & enjoying it for its moments!

Cleo – you are so gorgeous! I say ‘phoey’ and thumb my nose at the people who critisise you for your confidence. I studied Sociology at school under a radical feminist – she said that society’s most powerful tool for controlling women’s behaviour was the approval/opinion of other women. Its sad and yet so true.

Please don’t ever listen to people who disapprove of you liking yourself – I mean, how twisted is that?!

Anna – my eyes are welling up! ‘Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all’ I forget who said that, but he was so right!

    F xxx

  292. OCSugarbaby says:

TXSB, when you use the M word the spam filter freezes your post. You are not able to fully understand my words. I said I enjoy your posts. However I did not enjoy reading about another sugar taking harsh words towards another. As you are doing to me right now.
It takes quite a bit to offend me, so I should down grade that to it made me sad to see feedback given without some understanding and kindness. That was all, just posting my sadness. How you choose to react is up to you. I did not mean to yell, but just show my sadness…

  293. cleo says:

2chic: is he tall? tall men don’t fit in chairs properly (heck neither do tall women) and it’s often more comfortable with crossed legs.

  294. always2sweet says:

    awww AM dont cry

  295. Anna Molly says:

    I made myself cry…lol

  296. always2sweet says:

    good afternoon sugars!

Walked out on my FT job this morning…it was GLORIOUS! Only now I am really hoping that my background check comes back SQUEEKY clean for this new position(which like I said there isnt any reason that it shouldnt). I find out tomorrow.

All this job BS really makes me wish I had an SD to take care of and vice versa, I am getting tres sick of getting treated like sh*t and under payed by employers!

  297. TXSB says:

    Awww…. :)

  298. cleo says:

felicity that’s just what i was trying to say… as long as your body feels fit and happy you’re the right weight… and i am AMAZED at how many gorgeous women have no liking for themselves or their figures/looks…

in fact they like to tell me that my confidence is off putting.

  299. 2Chic says:

Thanks so much girls, you really have put me at ease me…. a lil bit. I would like to ask him. I just need to know for sure. Ugh!!!

  300. Anna Molly says:

When I was 19 I was so in love with a guy who crossed his legs. I still think about him and wonder what would have happened if I had told him how I felt. He was in no way bi, but did have a wonderful feminine side that I adored. He wrote me beautiful poetry and we would spend hours in deep conversation about the world and life in general. We would meditate together, cook together and go hiking…ahhh, I miss him :(
He moved away and I never had the chance to say I love you. Then again, maybe I didn’t need to, I’m sure he already knew.

  301. Felicity says:

OCSB – I’m very new to the blog, so don’t feel ready to start commenting on profiles yet, but WOW – 2000+ views & nearly as many emails? Would you be willing to share your profile number? I’d be fascinated to learn from your pics / wording.

    F xxx

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hi Felicity! No I don’t share my profile on the blog. I prefer my privacy. You can understand that…
Pictures and wording are not all that it takes to meet the right SD. My pictures are of a 30+ yr old with less than 20 words on my profile. The one dimensional view of someone is about 1/4 of what gets the SD’s attention. Your words after the viewing of your profile, a great attitude and knowing the difference between an “Escort and a Companion” will make sugar dating fun. It has it’s ups and downs but keep your sense of humor intact and it will be just fine.

  302. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

2chic: Shouldn’t worry you at all. It’s more cosmo but nothing wrong with it.

  303. Felicity says:

2Chic – I can’t comment on the area, but WOW – what a wonderful guy! I have dated a couple of straight guys who cross their legs – both of them public school boys who were SO straight they were almost homophobic!! So I wouldn’t let that be your indicator!

If you’re worried about it, why not steer the conversation that way? Say you once met a potential SD or BF who was bi & that it concerned you at the time – if he has something he wants to tell you, he’s likely to respond to a gentle nudge like that.

But seriously – if its the only thing you noticed, then I wouldn’t read too much into it.

    F xxx

  304. OCSugarbaby says:

TXSB, I would just ask that if you choose to be blunt with your posts, refrain from providing profile feedback. You are not expected to reply to every post.
You sometimes do not know or understand the magnitude of your words pertaining to something as sensitive as a profile. As for the number of profile views equaling the ability to be the voice of reason.
In one month I have 2000+ views and almost as many emails to equal that. Yet, I provide very positive and loving feedback, regardless…
Your posts are lovely and I look forward to reading them, however I was very upset to read about the feedback approach used last night.
Let’s just remember that providing feedback when one is asking for it, can and should be done with kindness and a dash of sugar…

  305. TXSB says:

I don’t really know many straight men who cross their legs but then again I’m in Texas! So not much help there……..but OMG congrats on the great date!!!! :)

  306. 2Chic says:

    Good Morning and Afternoon Sugas
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
So let me delve right in about my meeting with the POT. We met at a quaint wine/restaurant bar that was quiet lovely. He was a gentleman from the beginning to the end. There was much laughter, and a gentle vibe flowing. At first glance, he did not look as good in person as he did in picture, but upon close observation, something about him pulled me into him. He was so genuine, and caring. He was extremely interesting, and he wanted to know my story. This is where I get mad at myself….I told him about myself, what I have been through etc. He then says in the most sweetest voice I have ever heard, … “I want to help you” and all of a sudden great big tears fell from my eyes. I was sooooo ashamed, I turned my head and apologized. He took my hand and kissed it, and then with his other hand wiped my tears away. He told me not to be ashamed of emotions, it was a good thing. He is an extremely sweet and lovely guy. He asked me to give all this some thought, tell him what I want and let him know. As sweet as the meeting was, there was one thing that made a little flag go up….we met in the Bay area. I have this thing about men who cross their legs like women. It sends up warning flags. My business is in an industry where the vast is gay. So I now question if he is bi. Whats your take family, Am I being assumptive?

  307. Felicity says:

TXSB – here here! Confidence is definitely one of my ‘must have’s in a man.

  308. TXSB says:

    “Felicity says:
what is most attractive to a guy is SELF CONFIDENCE”

This is something I’ve also heard over and over from ex-BF’s and male friends. And I can see why. After all, I find confident men irresistable. :)

  309. Felicity says:

Thanks NYG – luckily he’s somewhere far flung for work for the next week & said he’d talk to me when he gets back – so I have a little while to ‘umm & ahh’. We got on really well, but I’m not sure we ‘clicked’ – but that could well be because I haven’t dated for a LONG time & I was feeling pretty self consious! Certainly worth another date at least.

Can’t believe all these beautiful ladies think they’re too heavy/fat! You’re all crazy. I’m a part-time model & am the only one I have ever come across without some serious image/body/food issue – its so sad. I LOVE my food, and am a very active person – luckily my attachment to food isn’t particulalry emotional so I find it easy to cut back if I’m feeling heavy/slow, but its taken me alot of work to get to this stage.

So please girls, ENJOY your bodies – you can do something about the odd spare LB, but what is most attractive to a guy is SELF CONFIDENCE – so let them look – you’re all stunning.

    F xxx

  310. Anna Molly says:

    Good Afternoon :)
    Is anybody out there?

  311. cakepatty40 says:

I agree Lisa. If you think you are fat you probably have some kind of body image problem where you look in the mirror and see fat and everyone else sees skinny. I have friends like this. Clearly Lisa the numbers you quote do not support your statement that you are fat.

  312. RX8sb says:

O wow, Alot happened that I didn’t catch up on.

Have a nice cup of joe or Tea hun. That should help settle your nerves. I am appalled that they would say such things.

  313. NYGent says:

OC: As for Lorena’s profile I agree the photos are not escort-ish, there is nothing wrong with cleavage or lingerie in a pic, i just think the first one is of rather poor quality and background. I do have issue with profile text which says “I’m willing to do the nasty,” and I think we on the blog do a favor by advising in no uncertain terms to take that out, i’m not sure how to sugarcoat such a suggestion.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

NYGent, my comment was not regarding her txt. I never even read the txt. My post was pertaining to the comments that TxSB made about her photo and makeup.
I couldn’t even bring myself to get past the photo’s after being so upset with the harsh comments made to another who was seeking gentle not harsh advice.

  314. cleo says:

RX8SB: the only time i worry in the slightest is the beginning of summer at the beach. i’m sooo white by then and i look sooo much better with a tan.

recently i learned that i can sunbathe in the park across from my house so i can pre tan next year. thank you italian skin for loving the sun…

as for books, i think you’ll like the ladies i suggested although i would mention that they are less sexy than hamilton.

oh and the undead and unwed books are a lot of fun

  315. cleo says:

RX8SB: for me the scale is a tool, it gets combined with how i feel, how my digestion/health feel, how my pants fit and how my body is working. i don’t care if the numbers are high if the pants fit. i don’t like to be heavier than this because i start to feel unhealthy.

i just use it all to keep track a little because i like to eat… no, i FREAKING LOVE FOOD in all it’s glory and life is too short not to eat dessert so i monitor and indulge as much as i can!

but i sure noticed that i had unhappy guts for two days after the gorgefest friday night, and i even think i know which item it was that i won’t eat again…

    wow rambling.
TXSB: you know we do it to ourselves, most of the people writing those ‘who got fat now’ articles are WOMEN.

so stupid, i’ve had men tell me i needed to gain weight because he wanted more to grab!
NCGent: i never liked lingerie shopping until i went to the eres store in nyc. and i never understood 200 dollar bras until i owned some. sexy as hell and feel like a sports bra…

i DO NOT understand women who say ‘does this make me look fat’

when shopping the correct move is to try on five pairs of pants and then say ‘which ones make my ass look the best’ because then you have options. you can say “actually baby? none of those jeans do your fine ass justice, let’s keep shopping” or you can say “ohhh get the second ones!”

as for weight, it’s one factor in health. when i hit 185 i feel draggy, i start comfort eating instead of exercising, my knees and back hurt, and i just generally don’t feel well. i use my actual weight as a number along with a lot of other things… i feel my best between 165-170 so i’m eating fewer french fries right now…

  316. RedMaru says:

    VillaCypris cool poem
    Have a good lunch SweetLittle_K
thanks cleo I’m going to check at least one of them out. Benefits of working near a library and living near another one

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Oh my I just read last night’s posts…

Lorena, first off your pictures do not make you look like an escort! I am a bit shocked at the harsh and somewhat unsugarly comments to that effect. This is a happy place to come for POSITIVE feedback. Please understand that your photo choice, make up and or outfits in your picture are just fine!
I have a very nice clevage shot posted on my profile. I dare anyone to critique that with comments that it is escort-ish! What happened to treating others with sugar respect and giving feedback with a little teaspoon of sugar!

Now I am just going to log off and let the steam that is coming out of my ears settle. OC is not feeling sunshine’y right now after taking all of this in…

  317. RX8sb says:

so far cleo, they are a tad risque, but there is a very engaging plot. Like I said I only have the first 4 in the series. And can’t get any more a.t.m. but when I first got them I couldn’t put them down till I was finished.

  318. RX8sb says:

Yes as a woman, we are worries about things like that. Even though I am more laid back on that topic, when I dress to the nines I still have a momentary worry that I may have a bit of a pouch.

  319. cleo says:

RX8SB: i never checked out the faerie ones, i’ll have to do that…
RedMaru: authors i currently like in the fantasy genre:
patricia briggs (particularly the mercy thomson books)
    kelley armstrong
tanya huff (though the blood books get boring around #5)
illona andrews but she’s only got four books out
the cast books by michelle sagara
(just read “trick of light” by rob thurman and it was great. DID NOT call the ending before i got there! can’t speak to anything else she writes)

  320. SweetLittle_K says:

    It’s lunch time!

Anyone want to join me for the home-made meal? I promise it’s won’t be as hot as I am. LOL

    Later all

  321. VillaCypris says:

check this out – just came across it while reading something…

    Too big, too small,
    Size does matter after all.
    Zu groß, zu klein,
    Er könnte etwas größer sein.

    Too short, too tall,
Doesn’t matter, one size fits all.
    Zu groß, zu klein,
    Der Schlagbaum sollte oben sein.

  322. RX8sb says:

the early Anita Blake series are good, but once she meets Mica, it starts to turn smutty and she has lost any good plots. Though I am hopeful that she will actually get a good story line going again. It hasn’t been the case. But the books are a very good read till then and very well told.

The Merry Gentry books are a tad more x rated the the blake series but she has developed a good story line and seems to be keeping to the integrity of the series.

  323. TXSB says:

    B/C we’re women…. :)

  324. NC Gent says:

Hi Cleo — I’m always open to new lingerie experiences :)

I was gonna say something about women hating their bodies Cleo — I bet most of the men in here don’t know their weight to the exact amount or obsess about it — I would like to lose about 5-10 pounds but I don’t really think about it. Plus, I have never asked if my jeans make me look fat, but maybe I should!

  325. RX8sb says:

LOL I am 5’2.5 and around 110, I stopped worrying about my weight. Though I am not as muscled as I used to be when I was in training, But I am healthy.
I would like to be back into the shape I was, I am still petite and fit, so I can’t complain too much.

  326. cleo says:

    morning TXSB!
NCGent: okay well i’ll be in florida some time in feb/march but otherwise i’m pretty stuck in toronto where there is no VS. will la senza do? la vie en rose? holt renfrew with the high end selection? the crazy old greek bra lady?

hmm should change mine to “will fly anywhere for eres bras”
redmaru: yeah i’m 5’11 and 175… imagine if we weighed 100 lbs? i’d be dead!

truth is i’m carrying about ten pounds that i don’t want, i had this weird cold that left me starving for weeks afterward and now i have to do extra cardio to make it disappear, but whatever, cardio is okay since i get to watch tv while i do it (today is fringe and private practice and maybe the beginning of house) :)
what is it with women hating their bodies? it took me until i was thirty five to figure out i was pretty and i still struggle with body image (though at least now i can SEE why others find my body attractive… which helps a lot)

why do we do this to ourselves?

  327. TXSB says:

    NC Gent:
PBI but that’s not a bad idea….it would definately get my attention. :)

  328. RedMaru says:

I need a new author to read… hamilton sounds good. Whats a good book to start with

  329. RX8sb says:

Cleo: the vampire ones were getting a bit smutty, but the faerie ones seem to be holding on to integrity so far. only have #4 of those so I may be overly optimistic.

  330. RedMaru says:

    Hey cleo!
I’m up in the 5’5″ about 60-70 pounds heavier than lisa and txsb.

  331. NC Gent says:

Deal Cleo — I think I need to change my profile to say that I will cover all costs for a VS shopping extravaganza! Maybe that would improve my luck!

  332. TXSB says:

If you wear a medium in JUNIORS and honestly think you’re “fat”….then you’re delusional (sorry if that sounds harsh).

As for weighing 87 lbs….I weighed 88 in HS. Last year I was around 92. The weight I’ve gained in the past year are mostly “muscle” due to the weight lifting I do. I can’t tell you how often I get compliments on the “change” from guys I know…guys who knew me back when I was 92. They all tell me how now I actually have “curves” and look like a woman instead of a girl.

  333. cleo says:

NCGent: if we’re ever in the same town i guess i could volunteer to be taken to VS … just to make you happy of course.
NEOhioSB: my beef with most sushi places is that the mixed plates are ALWAYS the same. really i want tuna and salmon and shrimp and egg and octopus and crab? always? every SINGLE time? couldn’t someone get more creative?
RX8SB: i think the hamilton books start to suck before book ten. least that’s the consensus among the readers i know…
wow you guys, i’m nearly a foot and 70 pounds heavier than those of you have chimed in so far…!

  334. lisa says:

I wish I was a size 0, i’m a 3-5 , or a medium in juniors sizes. I never shop outside the junior sizes, so no idea what i’d be in womans or misses or whatever size type i’m supposed to wear at my age, lol

I lost 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks since giving up junk food and eating only fish and chicken. Trying to get back down to 100 but I miss my prebaby days when I weighed 87 lbs.

Leaving now, have a good day

  335. TXSB says:

I’m 5’1″ and 98lbs….I usually wear a size 0 or 1 and consider myself very petite. Gaining 8 pounds isn’t gong to make me anywhere near “fat”. So at 5’1″ and 106 lbs, it’s very difficult to believe that you’re anywhere near “fat”.

  336. RedMaru says:

Hey lisa! You should not feel fat in any way shape or form. I dread to think what that makes me. Just got back into my gym routine after just doing walking for a while.

  337. RX8sb says:

    SouthernGent2 says:
    MMM Golf..

I have played back in the day, I still remember the first time I swung a club. Was with his club (can’t remember what iron it was) luckly I wore heels as he is very tall. And the first swing I got that ‘ting’ was kewl. So I tried to get into playing.

And since that first time, I haven’t never been able to repeat my first success.

  338. Anna Molly says:

SG2 ~ It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop :)

  339. RX8sb says:

    Good Morning Ladies and Gents.

What book are you reading now or would like to read? I would like to purchase the rest of the series that I have by Laurel K. Hamilton. She is my current favorite, and also readying emergency food storage 101.

Do you have a dream or goal that a sugar could help you fulfill? Rather too personal to be sharing in such a broad range of folks. As there are a lot of those lurking.

Sugar Date Weekend Report: Who’s got sugar in their plans this weekend? So far no, but I am speaking with another maybe SD, Again, won’t say he is a pot, but has made it past 2 emails.

  340. lisa says:

    Good morning everyone

Thank God it’s monday. Slept late this morning, getting ready to head down to meet my parents for lunch. Someone is walking on my ceiling and it sounds like they are going to come through at any moment. Roof maintenance I guess. Beautiful day in Houston, north wind so I will wear my new black wool coat. Probably be too hot in the mall though.

Everyone is making me feel so fat. :( I’m 5′ 1″ and 106 lbs, I feel like a blimp. I’m glad I dont’ have a large chest as the bras for the big sizes are always soooo ugly, beige, black, white, bleh

    Have a good day everyone

  341. NYGent says:

SouthernGent: I’m a big golfer and feel about the game the way some people feel about sex: even when it’s bad it’s pretty good. Gets your mind off other things.

Felicity: congrats. one cautionary note: don’t wait too long before getting back to him, when a SD makes a clear and specific offer and the SB “shops” it he can lose intereest quickly if he figures out that’s what she’s doing. If you feel a need to keep looking it may mean you’re not that into him in the first place, or he will conclude that, which doesn’t bode well for the long term. So proceed carefully but with all deliberate speed.

  342. SouthernGent2 says:

Anna Molly – one must build a good floor before he puts down the hardwood floor, so perhaps I am just getting my hammer and nails ready.

  343. TXSB says:

That’s what I meant to say. :) My rib cage is small but cup size is big….hard to find a perfect fit.

Yep….$400/wk to meet someone for 3x/wk with no time limits doesn’t really seem “worth” it. Although I’m sure on Craigslist, he’ll get plenty of takers.

  344. Adriana says:

    Just Joined. Interesting site.

My mission…to enjoy this life to the utmost.

  345. RedMaru says:

Grats Felicity on your sugar date 😀 and I know you’ll make the right decision. If its any comfort, its cold here in my part of the US Georgia. Clear but cold

  346. SouthernGent2 says:

Anna Molly – perhaps it was a thought and not a reality 😉

  347. Just Dee in NC says:

SouthernGent, my idea of fun golf is to relax in the clubhouse with a margarita and a good book while everyone else plays.

    Good luck, Felicity!

3x/wk, TX? And no time limit? Golly, guess he doesn’t have to worry about punching a clock, or a boss/secretary/employees keeping an eye on his comings and goings! In which case, $1600/month? Hmmmmm. Doesn’t sound particularly equitable.

  348. Felicity says:

SL_K / TXSB – I feel your pain! I’m 5’7″ & 130ish lbs but a huge ‘bust’ – my ribcage is teeny, but I need a large cup size. Most of the shops in the UK just look at you like you’re mad if you ask for your size.

Rigby & Peller fit me perfectly but at $120 minimum for a bra its pretty impossibly to have a decent selection!!

    F xx

  349. SouthernGent2 says:

Thought for the day………….playing golf at the municipal course with its poorly maintained fairways, bumpy slow greens, and broken down carts isn’t my idea of fun golf.

  350. TXSB says:

Congrats on the offer and good luck on the date!

So I’m on craigslist out of boredom….and just read a sugar ad. This “SD” wants someone to meet him 3x/wk with no time limit on the meetings……for $1600/month! I’m not good in math but I believe that’s a little over $100 per “meeting”!

  351. Felicity says:

    Hello Chaps / Chapettes

Hope you’ve all recovered from the weekend!

HL – *swoon* WHAT a way with words you have! If you do find yourself in Salisbury, let me know – there are some fabulous cafes hidden away that are well worth a visit and a wonderful antiques centre that I could spend the whole day in! We could be ‘British’ and have afternoon tea.

NYG – sorry to hear that your date wasn’t as successful as you hoped, I know how disappointing it can be, but I commend you for your sensitive approach. Get back on the horse & have a few other dates – the right SB is ou there for you somewhere!

I had my first SD date today – he’s made an offer & I’ve come away to think about it. Not entirely sure & have at least another date lined up this week with someone else, so am going to do my shopping first before I decide!!

Have good days everybody, from a very soggy England!

    F xxx

  352. TXSB says:

    Good morning!

Oh wow…..you and I are the same height and weight!!! (well, technically I weigh 98). But with VS, size isn’t an issue…”mine” are real too but BIG compared to most women my size (thanks to mom’s genetics!). VS bras just don’t fit! The cups are either too small or too big. Even the snotty sales girl gave up! :( I stick to Macy’s now for bras.

  353. Just Dee in NC says:

    Good morning Red, VC, TX!

  354. SweetLittle_K says:

    Morning TXSB, VC

Regarding the Y account, Sorry but I have no idea how’s that happen!

VS is not for me either, I’m 5″1′ and 95 Lbs with no plastic surgery, so that gives some estimation on my measurement.

  355. Anna Molly says:

    Thanks Gent :)
I can always count on you :)

  356. VillaCypris says:

AM – i went to gotham grill last time i was in NYC… dont know bryant park grill… hope it’s yummy!

  357. NYGent says:

AM: Bryant Park Grill and Cafe are part of the same complex so either way you should find each other.

  358. VillaCypris says:

    hi RED!!

TXSB – cool! good thing he went to bed early last night ehehehehehe

  359. Anna Molly says:

    Thaks Red :)

    Red Says:
    I miss anything?

    No, not too much. :)

  360. TXSB says:

Hehehe….thanks! He just sent a text saying he may get off work almost an hour earlier than usual….. :)

That’s also one of my fears…..being alone when I’m 50. :( That’s why I’m big on finding someone to start a family with…..

  361. RedMaru says:

    Morning sugars! Its Monday…bleh
AnnaMolly- Crossing my fingers for ya on your pot. Breaking out the pompoms too Rah Rah 😀
    I miss anything

  362. VillaCypris says:

SweetLittle_K – i agree with you – he is now realising what is “important”…. hopefully not too late.

  363. VillaCypris says:

hi TXSB ! hope you enjoy your afternoon 😉 😉

  364. Anna Molly says:

Talked to the pot I’m meeting tomorrow and he told me that the Sea Grill is closed for some sort of business event or something. We’re meeting at the Bryant Park Grill instead…or did he say cafe? Now I can’t remember, I guess I’ll have to call him back..lol.

  365. TXSB says:

Am I the only one who hates VS bras? None of the fit me properly….and yes I’ve been “measured” and have tried pretty much all the styles there.

But they do have nice lingerie but I never go lingerie shopping….but I have several of their swimsuits. (and yes, I also agree the sales people are kinda snotty).

  366. Anna Molly says:

Hmm, I wouldn’t say it’s a story really, but more of a conundrum.

Some how my accountant found my yahoo account??? How does that happen???

  367. TXSB says:

    Good Morning everyone! :)

  368. SweetLittle_K says:

While we’re waiting for Anna’s I have a story, too.

I recently have a talk with an individual who is an Ivy League law school grad. Big name Wall Street attorney, nice children, nice life and all.

A decade after the divorce he has been dating all kind of women, blond, black, brunette you name it. One morning he waked up in a sky rise mansion at the most prestigious part of the world feeling so lonely. He called me and the only thing I can say is that, that what you get being a player. You get to play, that was it, no more and no less.

As a friend I have no intention of making he feels bad giving the condition that he’s already in. But this person is a big player; he’ll play with any women who come along. He doesn’t want to give or invest his emotion left alone appreciate women and the feminist. He gave not one bit out but asking for so much more in return. Once those women who were with him realized what he’s up for they left. From one woman to the other, empty sex and unfulfilled emotionally.

What a poor thing he is. He has missed out all of the important things in life, but who am I to judge.

  369. VillaCypris says:

good morning ladies and gents (nc and ny)!!

sunny here as well…. was frost on the ground this morning. an SB power walk would be excellent!

NeOhio – si – please call me, would love to catch up! thanks for the hugs, always much appreciated. wrist still hurts, but i’m trying to be positive and thankful that i did not smash my head on the pavement, break both arms, legs….. haha… especially after my dad recited a whole litany of potential internal injuries which i couldve sustained… he’s taking the emergency medicine exam wednesday, so all the potential trauma is fresh in his mind.

  370. SweetLittle_K says:

    Just Dee,

plus a teddy bear body to cuddling wiht :)

    Yes do tell Anna!

  371. Just Dee in NC says:

    Do tell, Anna Molly!

K, I understand your point! The right companion can make nap time an incredible experience.

  372. Anna Molly says:

It’s been quite an interesting morning :)

  373. SweetLittle_K says:

    Hello Anna

    How’s the morning treats you?

    Just dee

Yes that is sounds lovely but a nap all by myself? LOL

  374. Just Dee in NC says:

It’s warm and sunny here too, K. A walk followed by a nap sounds lovely.

  375. Anna Molly says:

    Good Morning SweetLittle_K

  376. SweetLittle_K says:

    Morning Just Dee

    How is your mornig?

It’s lovely morning at where I live. Sunshinig and warm out.
Since it;s so nice out I’m thinking about going for a walk.
    Wanna join me?

  377. Just Dee in NC says:

    Good morning, K!

  378. Just Dee in NC says:

    Goodness, it got quiet here.

  379. SweetLittle_K says:

    Good morning everyone

My PC was affected by very harmful viruses and I miss out a whole lot here! The tech. at the computer store told me that there’s almost impossible to repaired it . Time for a new PC **sight**

Did someone gone out for Sushi without me? I love sushi and will almost everything for it. LOL

It’s difficult to find a decent Sushi at where I live now. When I was in CA, …three months ago but seem like ages to me… over there we have so much more choice. Disadvantage of being in a smaller city I guess.

    TXSB , Anna, Yaz10
    I’m jealous!

I’m coming to NYC and would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you, of course if you so desire and comfortable, it’s totally on your convenience. I would love to meet and hopefully we can become friends, not just in the blog but also in real life.

  380. Yaz10 says:

    Yessss! 😀

  381. Anna Molly says:

    I will Yaz :)
    That sounds like fun!
    We could go shopping!

  382. Yaz10 says:

    Morning all!

Anna Molly OMG I live in Albany! Come visit me! Pretty please!!!!!! We could have a sugar date! lol 😀

  383. NeOhio SB says:

NYGent ~~ Thank you for the insight…actually have been to all the above mentioned aside from Gari. And yes, i agree Morimoto decor IS spectacular……..

    Gotta run…Ciao all.!!

  384. Just Dee in NC says:

NCGent, you’ve seen my pics. Lingerie shopping is more painful than a root canal. Any kind of clothing or shoe shopping is so far down my list, WATERBOARDING is a preferred activity.

  385. NYGent says:

NEOhio: some other great NYC sushi places you should try are Sushi Yasuda, Morimoto, and Sushi of Gari. Decor-wise Morimoto is spectacular,Gari is plain, and Yasuda in between.

  386. Anna Molly says:

I live near Albany, but I have nooo problem traveling to the city. :)

NYGent ~ No pie for you…lol

  387. Just Dee in NC says:

Oh, I know, NEOhio! I loved that scene! That is simply one of my all-time favorite movies.

  388. NeOhio SB says:

Just Dee ~~ Your comment soooo made me laugh…..That was one of my fav. scenes in the movie when she goes back into that same store…holding her bags, approaches the woman….and goes on to say…”Big mistake, big, , HUGE ” throwing her arms up in the air…..PRICELESS.

  389. NC Gent says:

Sorry to hear that Dee. I have found the sales clerks in VS to be pretty cold also — I just figured they trained them to be like that so that guys don’t even think about crossing the line with some sexual comment — not sure but they have also been cold and very unfriendly to me — I shop at the one in Southpoint…. lingerie shopping party???

  390. NYGent says:

AM: i remember the interview and it was something offbeat but just can’t remember the answer.

  391. NC Gent says:

Deal Anna Molly — just have to figure when our paths might cross – what part of NY do you live?

  392. Just Dee in NC says:

    Good morning, NE Ohio!

Anna, I have tried to shop at VS here in Raleigh, and I’ve never found them carrying a bra larger than a 38D. And they hire the snottiest little sales clerks who delight in saying “We don’t carry your size.” Reminds me of the snooty b*tch who threw Julia Roberts out of the store in Pretty Woman, only younger.

NC Gent, if you’re going to take Anna Molly shopping, make her come here to shop – I want to meet her!

  393. Anna Molly says:

NC…I’m so going to take you up on that offer :)

    I’m not kidding either 😉

  394. NeOhio SB says:

Good morning Anna, Dee, Gents and other Monday morning lurkers or bloggers.

NYGent ~~ I fully agree with Flo…My biggest motto is “We don’t always have answers, but the ONE thing in life we do have is choices”…
Owner of Bowflex actually is building a 27k sq home down the street from me, he is a local, but has lived overseas for years. His wife ( of Japanese decent) and her family ( whom all migrated over here) opened a great sushi place local….but even as great as it is here, it doesn’t light a candle to Nobu57 in nyc or others. Unf. the mentality here is so conservative, many think that a california roll is the top of line sushi. They just dont’ get it. Myself, i appreciate great sushi and will travel anywhere to find it. :)

VC~~ Bella, I miss our bantering too…have been in 10mil circles the past week…but will catch up later today via cell. So sorry about your wrist and the horrific pain you are enduring…Get well hugs to you.

Off for a morning run (soaking in this nice Nov.weather while i can)

    Everyone have a fantastic Monday….

  395. NC Gent says:

Anna — I will take you shopping at VS ANYTIME you want lol I soooooo love that store but I feel a lil pervy being in there by myself — kinda odd I guess, but I think if they did a Men’s night – men only in there — they would kill it or maybe I am the only shy lingerie perv out there perhaps.

  396. Anna Molly says:

    Good Morning NC :)
I love VS….their bras are the only ones that seem to fit me right. Now I’m in the mood for shopping…lol

  397. Just Dee in NC says:

    Good morning, NC Gent!

  398. NC Gent says:

Captain Sugar — I had problems logging in on Friday afternoon. It wasn’t anything I was doing, but it was corrected about 30 minutes later. I think they must be tweeking the code.

Hi Anna, Dee, and NY Gent :)

  399. NC Gent says:

Hi all — had a great weekend. Went to the Steve Miller Band concert with a client who is a friend too – yes I was a little hungover on Saturday lol

Looks like I missed some interesting blog discussion. I thought I would chime in on potential SBs with lingerie pics… the profile might be nice to take a quick peak at (I know but the VS catalog is soooo hot), but I would never consider contact an SB that has lingerie pics posted. I prefer one close up to see the face, and one fully clothed pic that lets me see the figure but leaves something to the imagination. I actually like the cell phone pic in the mirror because if the SB looks good in that pic (which is about as unflattering and unprofessional as it gets), they are going to look good in real life :)

Speaking of pics…. I was communicating with a potential SB that didn’t have any pics posted — she finally sent me a picture, and it was the same pic of an SB that I had been talking to a few months ago from Orlando — looked like she downloaded her file and cropped it lol I asked for another pic — maybe from a cell phone and haven’t heard back doh!!! snagging photos from other SB profiles is not the best idea I guess — or I guess they both could have snagged a photo from the same place :)

  400. Anna Molly says:

    Good morning Gent :)
I figured you would have answered the trivia ? by now :)

  401. NYGent says:

Lorena, as a SD I have to largely agree with the SB comments on your profile, with a couple additional observations. The first pic does seem a little trashy, but actually the lingerie outfit would be ok if it were in a different setting (not an unmade bed, and no self-cell phone photo). It doesn’t make you look like a pro, just kind of cheap. sorry to be blunt. the second pic is fine. You should get a third though, something well dressed and full bodied.

Agree with Yaz on the “nasty” comment, get rid of it and the other sexual innuendo such as “what you need me to be.”

My biggest comment though is it’s ambiguous what sex you are looking for. You say you are bi and you list SD and SM, but then in your text you say you’re looking for a Sugar Daddy. And the whole tone of the profile is geared toward SDs. So Which is it? If you really only want an SD don’t mention SMs and being bi. If you are truly ambivalent then your whole profile needs to change as it is is clearly oriented toward attracting an SD. So you’ve got to figure that one out for yourself and be clear about your desires/priorities. hope this helps.

Realistic/Flo: thanks and I think I will pursue your strategy.

  402. Just Dee in NC says:

Good question for the admins! My log-ins have been unaffected.

  403. Anna Molly says:

    Thanks Just Dee :)

Captain Sugar ~ I haven’t had any trouble logging in to my account. Have you tried clearing your cookies? Maybe that would help. I’m not a computer expert, but it might work :)

    Welcome BTW :)

  404. Captain Sugar says:

Sorry Off Topic: since sat 14Nov I get redirected to seeking millionaire every time I log on. I’m getting notices of incoming mail from SA so I know SOMEONE’s logging into SA… What’s up?

  405. Just Dee in NC says:

Your pics are gorgeous, Anna Molly. Good morning!

  406. Flo Rida says:

A recurring theme seems to be that SD’s are from Mars and SB’s are from Venus and that many SB’s do not understand how SD’s think and feel (how they make their decisions, what is important in a profile, what would attract SD’s, how they think about allowances etc) and vice versa. I think this blog is great in understanding how the “other” side thinks.

In marketing it’s important to understand your audience – target market, have attractive features (product), provide good service, be available, and a good price point (sorry to be crude but this applies to SBs and SDs).
And therefore SDs and SBs are a tiny bit lost when they don’t understand the other side.

I wish there were more SD’s on the blog, but I guess Sbs want to talk more (real life parallel?)

So what is my point? It’s simply to listen to the other side and learn, it’s called audience research and focus groups.

NY Gent – I’m sorry for the not good date, the advice I give men is “Just go on another date, if it’s great then you’ll forget about her, and if it’s also bad, then you’ll have another bad date to distract you and put it into context”.

PS I’ll be radio silent through Thursday morning. Ciao peeps

  407. Anna Molly says:

I missed a lot of good stuff last night :)
I’m beginning to think that maybe my pic is too “revealing” :)
Good Morning by the way :)

  408. AsianSB says:

    TXSB – shooting you an e-mail. :)

  409. TXSB says:

Hi! Well, hopefully TexaSD will try writing you again …and if he has issues, hopefully he’ll e-mail me so I can give him your e-mail.

So with your potential SD, it seems like the only “issue” might be the # of times you two see each other. When my SD and I initially talked, he mentioned he wanted to see me 2x/wk. Once we met and agreed on the arrangement, our chemistry was so good that we now end up seeing each other 4-5x/wk. If he wasn’t married, I’d probably see him every single day! :) But BOTH of us are happy with seeing each other so much.

It *is* a big commitment to see someone 4x/wk. Think about it…sit down with him and just be honest with him about your feelings. If he really likes you and if this is the only “issue”, then I would be shocked if he says “no” to negotiating. Just b/c he lives near you doesn’t mean he has to see you 4x/wk! :) If you’re comfortable with 2x/wk….let him know that. Tell him that you can’t have too much time taken away from your studies….and also you can’t spend too much time away from friends/family b/c they will be suspicious as to who you’re spending time with. Don’t rush anything……and at the end of the day, don’t do anything you’re not 100% comfortable with. :)

  410. AsianSB says:

Hey, just dropping in before a meeting..

Very sound advice TXSB and Yaz on the profiles. The way you present your self in your profile determines what kind of SDs you will attract..

TXSB helped me fix my profile and I really appreciated all her comments, they were very helpful.

I have terrible timing… I keep missing TexaSD, haha hopefully I’ll get a mail from him soon. :)

For my current pot SD.. referring back to TXSB question. We did not agree on set meeting per week.. But he has told me, he wants to move to HK and have a house near me.. So I’m guessing it would be more than I expected(which was 2-3) but now it seems, if he moves here, it will be likely up to 4 visits per week.. I have not accepted the arrangement yet, and am seriously thinking about whether I should or not. I feel that there will be some social and physiological consequences, maybe even physical..

I know this is a bit deep for the blog, but just my feelings as of now, of deciding whether to be a SB for the first time.

  411. TXSB says:

  412. Lorena says:

good point…thanks txsb i’ll fix it…night guys i have to get some sleep…

  413. TXSB says:

Another things to keep in mind is that the pics in your profile let the men know how you might dress when they meet you/take you out somewhere. SDs on the blog have written many stories about SBs who showed up wearing outfits that were very inappropriate (ie. too sexy) for the place they were going to (usually nice restaurants). Even my own SD have told me how once a girl showed up wearing a skirt that VERY short and when they were walking, he had to pub his hand near her ass so “stuff” wouldn’t show (yes he did enjoy having her hand near her ass BUT at the same time, he *was* embarrased).

Many SD’s are careful about their reputation/image and they don’t want to be seen with someone who’s going to attract a lot of negative attention (ie. look like an escort) when they show up at nice restaurants…..Obviously you’re going to show off your body in the bedroom….SDs know that. The profile is your way of showing a man how you can dress like a lady but still be sexy in public.

  414. TXSB says:

Go to your profile………at the top, on the URL, at the end you’ll see numbers. Delete those numbers and plug in these numbers and hit “enter”.

  415. Lorena says:

how do i search for those profiles so i can see

  416. Lorena says:

Speaking of not sugar coating…..that’s pretty harsh ugg….”matrimonial bed” wow geez you make it sound all religious lol btw my husband and I have an open relationship so he knows and approves of us dating other people….but anyway thanks guys for all your help and I hope you have a good night!

  417. TXSB says:

You may like the pics you have up but we’re just telling you what men think when they look at these pics. There are some SD’s who post on the blog so hopefully some of them will share their thoughts too….and if Yaz and I are wrong anything we wrote, I’m sure they’ll correct us.

There is a difference b/t posting a pic of you wearing a bikini and posting a pic of you wearing lingerie in the bedroom (that IS a lingerie right?).

Look, there are many men on this site who’re looking for a escort type deal (they’ll pay you a few hundred dollars for the evening). And there are other men who’re looking for a long term arrangement. If you’re ok with “pay per play” that’s fine. But if you want a long term allowance situation, then it’s going to be VERY difficult to find someone to take you seriously as a SB.

As for what works……..This is my personal experience. I have a SD and have been with him for almost 2 months. In my profile, I didn’t even have a picture! I only had pics of my eyes…..and that’s it. My SD (along with the other potentials I met) all e-mailed me based on what I wrote, and then I e-mailed them 2 pics. 1 pic was a smiling face shot…and 2nd pics showed me at a family event from the waist up. My SD is married so obviously he’s not looking for a serious relationship and neither was I. Yet he “choose” me even though I didn’t have any pics at all showing my body……..during the 1st meeting he got to see in real life what type of body I have (btw, on my 1st meeting with my SD, I wore full length jeans, and a regular top….nothing low cut or “sexy”). I saved all of that for the bedroom.

Here are some profiles I found where the women are showing the type of body they have but do not come across as escorts:

35XXX(although these aren’t the best pics, a man can tell what kind of body this woman has and she’s not showing too much skin)

33XXX (Again look at the pose, place, and what she’s wearing; you can still tell what type of body she has but she’s still covered up)

31XXX(She’s covered up, not wearing anything that she would not wear in public….BUT you can still tell what type of body she has)

  418. Yaz10 says:

    Good night girls :-)

  419. Yaz10 says:

It is a no-no because many SDs on the blog ( who represent some of the the REAL SDs out there) have mentionned that pics that show too much cleavage or too much anything are a major turn off. Also, you are a married woman and many SDs out there might get a very cheap image of you posing in lingerie in front of your matrimonial bed…

Like I said, you have a beautiful shape and you could post a pic of you in a curve hugging dress ( not too short tho!) or nice short shorts with a cute top. Leave the garter belts and the thigh highs for the lucky one 😉

  420. TXSB says:

Good Night Yaz! LOL….no, I’m not good at sugar coating…b/c I wouldn’t want others to sugar coat things for me….. :)

  421. Lorena says:

    Night Yaz!

  422. Lorena says:

Why is it a no-no though? What about girls who post pix in bikinis? i’m showing even less than that? So does everyone on here think fully clothed pics are the way to go? Yaz, do you have a SD and did this work for you? The makeup thing is something I only do when I’m having fun and going out…most of the times I do go pretty natural but I just want to know if natural and modest and discreet is working? Does being this way get the SD’s? I’m not looking for a real serious relationship just some fun! What do you guys think

  423. Yaz10 says:

OK! I am off to bed :-) Long day for me 2moro :-)

    Good night babes! :-)

  424. Yaz10 says:

    Teena you are welcome :-)

  425. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: “it’s the typical “pose” that teenagers post”

She is 19 after all… 😉 I do take silly pics like that once in a while 😉

  426. Yaz10 says:

Lorena you do have beautiful eyes and I kinda liked that second pic. Maybe upload another one without makeup so the SDs can see the natural you. But the first pic is a no-no.

  427. Teena says:

Ty Yaz I will revise mine as well. I appreciate the iinsight!

  428. Lorena says:

Oh no TXSB ur comments are appreciated…i could use some teaching..i sometimes let my desires/playfulness get the best of me.

  429. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: Wow…and I thought my review was too harsh..You didn’t sugar coat anything now did you 😉

  430. Lorena says:

Thanks for the tips guys! I will def. revise! Your tips have been insightful. I was in a playful mood when I wrote that and now I see that it is kind of slutty. Although my pics I kind of like because the sexy one has no nudity but still sexy and not too revealing after all men aren’t only on here for personality but looks too. The other one i just fun and I like my eyes in it. Maybe I should upload a “normal” one

  431. TXSB says:

    OK back…

I was going to write more on Lorena’s profile and maybe I shouldn’t….if you’re still reading this, I really hope I wasn’t too harsh.

    Did TexaSD already leave?

  432. Yaz10 says:

I like your overall profile, it is well written ( minor typos tho). :-)

I would also put a space or two in between a few sentences so it does not look like a big block. It would be easier on the eyes.

  433. Teena says:

ok ill have to take one…lmao anything else?

  434. Yaz10 says:

Also do you have a pic that shows your body shape? That would help too! :-)

  435. Yaz10 says:

Teena: Delete that third pic where you are on the phone. Do you have one where you are smiling? You have gorgeous lips! so I would upload one where you are smiling or just seductively pouting those lips 😉

  436. Teena says:

    hehe it’s ok:)

  437. Yaz10 says:

Teena: “I am beautiful and quite the seductress..” I like that :-) I might steal that line :-)

  438. TXSB says:

Here are my thoughts on your profile. I apologize in advance if any of this offends you…but I’m going to be brutally honestl

    1) You need to delete both pics. 1st pic makes you look like cheap escort. On the 2nd pic you have waaay too much makeup on..and it’s the typical “pose” that teenagers post. You need to post one full body picture wearing something that covers your body but still shows off your figure. A 2nd face pic should be a face picture where you’re smiling big.

    2) The line you wrote under “occupation”….again makes you sound like an escort. Are you in school? Do you work at all? Heck if you’re not a student and don’t work at all, write full time mom or something….but take out the that’s there now please.

    3) The first sentence in your profile says that you like to do the “nasty”!!! Take that out! No mention of anything sexual in your profile. Again, if you want a man to treat you like a LADY….then behave like a lady…at least in public. Save all the sexual stuff for the bedroom (and don’t post pics of it in the profile).

    4) The fact that you’re married will turn away many SDs. Many men out there are not comfortable having a sugar baby who has a husband. It may not be fair but that’s just reality.

I gotta go for a few minutes….BRB and I’ll add more.

  439. Teena says:

    Ty and its 408729…

  440. Yaz10 says:

Teena: Sure.. What’s your profile #?

  441. Yaz10 says:

You have beautiful eyes so you should definitely upload a second face pic!

  442. Yaz10 says:

Oh I don’t really like the last sentence because if I was a SD, I would think ” Hum that sounds kinda desperate so I guess I could offer her a very low amount and she’ll probably take it..”

  443. Yaz10 says:

I like the second paragraph too! You could also expand on the type of guy you are looking for.

  444. Teena says:

    I totally understand!!! HAHA!!

  445. Yaz10 says:

Love the first paragraph except the first sentence. It sums up pretty well everything about you :-)

  446. Yaz10 says:

Also get rid of the first sentence or you might only attract the ones who want to “pay to play”…..

  447. Teena says:

Yaz can I get you to critique my Page as well?

  448. Lorena says:

Ya it’s nice to know I’m not alone either. I just hate waiting lol….i’m ready to get out there and play. I guess it’s the Tivo mentality we all have nowdays…that I want it now thinking

  449. Yaz10 says:

Before I even read your profile I would say DELETE the first pic! It screams “pro” to me! The second pic is very cute and it would be great if you had another one up there showing your beautiful shape while leaving something to the imagination..
Ok I will now read your profile :-)

  450. TXSB says:

LOL….I will look into revising his lesson plans! Perhaps my surprise for him tomorrow will entice him to pay more attention to my cultural lessons. :)

  451. Teena says:

Yea I’m having the same issue Lorena. so no worries. I kinda wondered what i am doing wrong as well. Nice to know i am not the only one.

  452. Lorena says:

Maybe you can check out my profile and give me some suggestions…thanks guys..i’ll just be patient…my profile number is 406387

  453. TXSB says:

There’s no way to know why someone backed out at the last moment. That’s just part of the “game”. There are SBs here who have been searching for MONTHS for a SD. It takes time and patience.

If you’re new to the sugar world, IF you’re comfortable posting your profile number here, we may be able to help you there…….but otherwise, this is just like real life dating. Most women go through many dates/BFs before they find “the one”.

  454. Yaz10 says:

And remember…Looks attract but it is your personality that will keep him around for a while :-)

  455. Yaz10 says:

There are plenty of posers, pics collectors, time wasters and flakes on the site but also many real SDs. It takes time but you will find one if you keep looking.
And yes, there are about 10 SBs for 1SD so that’s also very discouraging but like OC said there is a lid for ever pot so no matter how hot other girls may be if a SD really likes you then he will see no one else but YOU! :-) Good luck with your search!

  456. Lorena says:

Thanks Yaz! I’ve been on here for a couple of weeks and just kind of seeing what happens….some good pot but nothing is actually happening yet any helpful tips to make this work..?

  457. Lorena says:

Well yes the men were all local….and most single….so I just don’t understand why if we seemed to have such a good connection over the phone that they consistently cancel. Ummmm well this last one I talked to on the phone for almost an hour and then a little IMing before that. We make plans he seems quite interested and then out of no where he’s not anymore. I’m beginning to think there are just too many hot girls to compete with and they found someone hotter?….

  458. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: LOL! Well try again 2moro afternoon 😉 There are many…ways…to teach him.
When I used to teach my ex-bf French I used many..”techniques”… and boy did he learn fast! Lmao He is not fluent yet but very conversational in that language now 😉 And just like in a real classroom make sure to…reward him for his hard work 😉

Hi Lorena! Welcome to the blog! :-)

  459. TexaSD says:

    Hi Yaz and Anna

  460. TXSB says:

Potential SDs flaking out is something that happens to pretty much everyone. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing something “wrong”. Out of curiosity, were the men local? Also, you said you talk to them for a “longtime”…..about how long do you talk to them before the 1st date comes up?

  461. TXSB says:

    Good night! :)

Well, let me know if you still have issues. BTW, where have ya been Mr.? Missed you on the blog….

  462. Lorena says:

I’m not sure if everyone else is having this problem but I keep having pot SD’s flake last minute on our first dates. We usually talk online or on the phone for a longtime and then boom right before we scheduled to meet they don’t answer or cancel because of work. Can someone please help me out and tell me what i’m doing wrong! Thanks

  463. TexaSD says:

TXSB- oic, ya maybe her profile was pending, thats why I couldn’t find it. I dunno

  464. Rudy says:

LOL…TXSB: LOL! Believe me when I say this….with RealisticSD, between himself, his wife, and all his SBs (previous & current), he has every continent covered….you are too funny!

NCGENT: Sorry things went sour; I hope you find a real sweetheart :)

Well, I am headed off to bed to get some rest for another crazy week at work. I wish my weekday could start on a Tuesday.

  465. TXSB says:

Hahahaha……I tried giving him some lessons in culture but he had other “things” he wanted to….focus…on. I’m sure his other SBs met with the same resistance in culture lessons…. 😉

  466. TXSB says:

I remember you mentioning that you thought she left the site….well the very next day she came on the blog! I *think* maybe her profile was pending approval from edits when you tried writing her. I told her you were trying to get a hold of her. If you scroll up on the blog, you’ll see her posts. Scroll up to November 13 around 11:32 am (beginning of the blog) and read her/my posts.

If you still can’t write to her through her profile…..e-mail me and I’ll give you her e-mail.

  467. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: LOL! It is always a good thing because he is learning a lot from different cultures. :-)

    Hi TexasSD!

Hi SG2! ( You didnt ask anybody today if your were still FOS 😉 )

  468. Anna Molly says:

Hey TexaSD….Long time no see :)

  469. TexaSD says:

TXSB- nope, why do you ask? I think she left the site

  470. TXSB says:

Hey! Did you get to write AsianSB?

  471. TXSB says:

LOL! Believe me when I say this….with RealisticSD, between himself, his wife, and all his SBs (previous & current), he has every continent covered. :)

  472. TexaSD says:

    That actually made me curious…

  473. Yaz10 says:

TXSB: Yup I reported it in SugarNews LOL

  474. Yaz10 says:

    Realistic SD said:

“As for the whole racial preference issue, as someone who has dated a very racially diverse group of women and who is married to a woman of a different race and who has an SB of yet another race,..”

    LOL! 😀

  475. Anna Molly says:

    The Pats and the Colts?

  476. SouthernGent2 says:

Doing pretty good today. Just watching the end of the game, then will hit the sack.

  477. TXSB says:

Yes, part of my attraction to NetFlix are many of the small unknown films and foreign films they have.

  478. Anna Molly says:

    Hey SG2 :)
    What ya doin’?

  479. SouthernGent2 says:

Swing for the fences. Sometimes you get the pitch you want to hit.

  480. Lara says:

NetFlix it’s a good thing. I simply have an addiction for it!

  481. TXSB says:

Anyone else watch the video of the Bugatti being driven into the water in Galveston? I bet the guy feels like an idiot now for blaming it on a pelican!

  482. TXSB says:

Sounds like a nice way to spend a Sunday evening. I’ve been playing around with the idea of signing up for NetFlix.

  483. TXSB says:

Yes, I agree. It’s amazing how things can change so drastically in just 1 year. Even though I’m not with my ex anymore…this holiday I’m blessed to have my SD in my life. So I’m trying to build as many happy memories as I can with him……life is too short for me to sit and let the past control my present.

  484. Anna Molly says:

Just finished two movies; Strangers on a Train and Sorry, Wrong Number. I must say that the latter was the better of the two :)

  485. TXSB says:

Good Night! And yes, there will be no nap for you tomorrow afternoon! :)

  486. RealisticSD says:

Time for bed now so I don’t fall asleep tomorrow afternoon.

  487. Lara says:

TXSB: The present is pretty much the only thing we have and we can make a good future out of it. Only if we’d try. I include myself in that. Next year you could remember how nice was this Christmas and how many oportunities you had…

  488. TXSB says:

Hehehe….. :) BTW, I found a few things in my closet that I can’t wait to show you tomorrow…. 😉

  489. RealisticSD says:

Hi TXSB! Can’t wait till tomorrow 😉

  490. TXSB says:

Good luck! Yes, I try to do other things to distract myself…but it does get difficult at times.

  491. Lara says:

    Hi everybody,

I just came home. Went to do a favour to a friend of mine , wanted to see Precious but they did not have it at that theater and came home.

TXSB I hear you , it is very hard but I try to focus on myself on those moments. Time passes anyways and I try to be happy rather than think on the past.

Decided to write my first email to a SD. Wish me good luck!

  492. TXSB says:

    Lisa & Yaz:
I know what you two mean about finding some just to spend time with in the evenings and weekends. I was with my ex around this time last year so it’s extra difficult for me….b/c all the holiday crap reminds me of all the time “we” spent together. Yet this year I have no one….

NYGent: there’s good sushi a lot of places isn’t there? the stuff here is lovely, same in vancouver and i’m sure LA…

  494. TXSB says:

    Hi Everyone!

    Glad you’re still here. :)

    Good luck on the date!

Sorry to hear things went sour so quickly… :(

  495. Rudy says:

    Hi Everyone :)

Flo Rida: I hope you see this! I failed to thank you for the profile advice. I was just reading through the blog again and I noticed your suggestion.

Yaz10: Barnes and Noble is my second home. I have limited myself to visit the one in my area once a month; otherwise I would be in trouble :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend :) What did you do? Mine was great I had my sushi fix twice, went to a baby shower and spent today with my family. Now it’s back to viewing some more profiles :)

  496. Midwest SB says:

Taz – will it go back and show who has viewed since your premium expired? I’m in the same situation. Curiousity is one of my weaknesses :-)

  497. NYGent says:

NE Ohio: do they have decent sushi in neOhio?

  498. Taz says:

Gahh! So many views since my premium membership expired – and I am bored and sooo sooo curious lol…not sure if it is worth it but hey if it satiates my curiosity lol :P…..

  499. Hi Midwest :) I’m currently looking for a SM, I recently got my MBA so right now I need to get a hold of some money to pay of student loans, and this would be the easier way out I guess heh :)

Yaz, I know what you mean.. I used to date a older woman for a year a couple years ago – since then I’ve basically been trying to find someone that I could connect as well with.. I’m sure you’ll find your man soon nuf 😉

  500. lisa says:

I passed up some good opportunities because I felt I wasn’t ready and then when I did feel ready, the opportunity was gone. It has really been eating at me lately with so much time on my hands in the evening. Not that I went out that much after work, even before it started getting dark early, but i’m feeling shut in. I worked evenings for 10 years which was perfect but for the past year getting used to working days and being stuck inside at night is really hard. Working nights is no longer an option though.

  501. Yaz10 says:

I feel you. I wish I could find someone to spend the holidays with. I am not even looking for a SD anymore. I just want to enjoy the company of a nice guy, laugh, enjoy good food, and talk for hours about everything and nothing lol. I keep saying that I feel like I am on the wrong site because I really could care less about a guy’s source of income ( as long as he doesn’t steal or sell drugs). I have had a boyfriend my age before and one who was older and there is a BIG difference. I felt sooo connected to the older one. We genuinely enjoyed each other’s company and were always teasing each other like little kids. lol He taught me so many things and I taught him a lot too.
It’s that connection that I am looking for here but I can’t seem to find it.
I will just keep myself busy with work until someone decide to come and dance with the nerdy girl 😉

  502. Yaz10 says:

MidwestSB: I know. I love reading and I could spend hours walking around the shelves lol A girl at the register the other day gave me an application and told me they were hiring ( She is used to seeing me there all the time 😉 ) so I said to myself ” Why not?” The 30 % discount is pretty cool and I know I will be buying tons of books this winter LOL.

  503. lisa says:

Barnes and Noble, there is a big one here in Houston that I used to go to for coffee and to buy my favorite European magazines. Last time I was there, they had taken away all the little tables by starbucks and I couldn’t find anywhere to sit so it sucked

  504. Midwest SB says:

Yaz – Ooooh Barnes & Nobles is the place! I was there for about 3 hours yesterday. Picked up Team of Rivals…that should last me through the winter :-) If you love reading and you happen to meet your Prince Charming there…it’s a great start! Making some holiday cash and new friends is a great distraction!

  505. lisa says:

    Don’t give up Yaz10
I’m struggling with my feelings at the time too. Feeling kind of lonely in the evenings, wish I could find someone to spend my evenings with. I received an email from my ex boyfriend a couple days ago. He poofed on me over a year ago and then reappeared this past June but all he wanted was a booty call relationship so I sent him on his way. On this latest correspondence, I sent him a “please go away” message and haven’t heard from him. Don’t know if he has even read it as he’s busy on the weekend babysitting for his daughters who have moved in with him due to different circumstances. He’s been on my mind all evening although I know it’s silly, but I miss him sometimes, I need someone to spend my evenings with, I feel trapped inside.
I want to meet my sd too but he hasn’t said anything it lately. I guess my problem is I tend to think before I do, and I miss all the opportunities, next time I need to just do it without thinking of the consequences, darn i’m too much of a planner.

  506. Yaz10 says:

I love jobs where I get to interact with people on a daily basis and since I am very outgoing I have met loads of people that way over the years. However, online is quite the opposite. I feel like the nerdy girl at the party nobody wants to dance with LOL.

  507. Yaz10 says:

Cleo: Yup I noticed that lol

Midwest SB: Yeah I guess I need a break. I have picked up a second job to help me make a little money for the holidays so that should keep me busy. ( I love Barnes & Nobles lol and they were hiring for the holidays so I couldn’t resist 😉 ) Maybe I will meet *him* there lol You never know…I am just tired of searching for him.

  508. Anna Molly says:

    Thank you Midwest SB :)

  509. Midwest SB says:

Evening all! Not much news on the sugar front. I did arrange to have a friend take some new pics next week…stay tuned!

NYGent – It’s unfortunate it didn’t work out. I hope you two can remain friends and stay in touch (should you want to) as she seemed like a nice person. Your radar is getting better! If you find you need someone to kiss on NYE, there are about 10 sbs here to make sure that happens. ((hugs)).

Yaz – Sometimes we all need a break. It helps to gain a new perspective! Glad you’re staying on the blog.

AM – Good luck on Tuesday! Hope it goes quite well. I love your pictures!

Eric – A formal “hi”! I wasn’t clear…Are you looking for a SM or SB?

  510. cleo says:

Yaz10: it does seem that the SD’s on this blog are a cut above doesn’t it.
NYGent: i’m sorry to hear that, but at least you know now.

that said, it seems like she likes you more when you aren’t paying her than when you are.

  511. Yaz10 says:

Don’t know…After a while I didnt feel comfortable having my face out there like that :-( …(feeling like a piece of meat on display) lol

I am tired of looking for Prince Charming ( or Charming SD in this case) lol. I have a feeling he got lost on his way to me and decided to take a nap 😀

We will meet each other at the right time…..Don’t they say that it is when you expect it the least that you find the person you have been looking for…?

  512. Yaz10 says:

    I took mine down :-(

  513. Yaz10 says:

Anna Molly your pics are hot!

  514. Thanks Villa, and congrats on your results!

  515. Yaz10 says:

I applaud you for keeping your promises and trying to fulfill the commitment even tho you know that the relationship between you two is not going anywhere. It speaks volume about the kind of person you are NYGent and I hope that the right girl for you is reading this blog.
ECF is right, at least you gave it your all.

  516. NYGent says:

NEOhio: The London is a fairly new boutiquey hotel in midtown, is pretty cool. Michelangelo is pretty good too.

  517. EastCoastFilly says:

Well, at least you know you gave it your all. That’s all you can do :(
I hope you meet someone new soon that is a better fit!

  518. Anna Molly says:

I wish I had some words of wisdom for you Gent

  519. NYGent says:

ECF: I committed to at least a month of the revised arrangement so I will fulfill the commitment, but it’s not going anywhere. Brunch and zoo were fine and she really enjoyed the latter, but after the prior relaxed date she tightened up again vis a vis me.

  520. Anna Molly says:

Where is everybody? I guess I’m the only one not eating dinner :)

  521. Yaz10 says:

    Evening All!

Sorry to hear that NYGent…C’est la vie..Tommorrow will be a better day.

I hope they find someone to fill in for you Lisa. *Keeping my fingers crossed for you* You deserve a vacation.

    No SugarNews tonight..

  522. EastCoastFilly says:

Sorry NYGent!! Did this date make the final decision or will you guys keep trying?

  523. lisa says:

    Have a good dinner

  524. VillaCypris says:

have a good night! off to dinner…

  525. lisa says:

lol Percy says hello. He’s busy grooming his feathers, I think he has a date tonight

  526. VillaCypris says:

oh, there’s a viking player named PERCY harvin…. i thought of your bird 😉 when i was at game

  527. VillaCypris says:

ha! and edit – cannot COOK!!!!

  528. lisa says:

    edit “veins”

  529. lisa says:

Just liquify it and hook an IV up to your vains, lol

I love grapefruit juice, too I’ll probably drink the whole botte in a day. But I’ve got to meet my parents for lunch tomorrow at the mall, so I will have to cheat and eat a chicken sandwich.

  530. VillaCypris says:

hey Lisa!! welcome home :) i love grapefruit juice :) reminds of sunny FLA.

if you lived here, i’d invite you to dinner tonight, all the family together every sunday night…. sumptuous spread of wine and food. thank god, as i cannot w one hand! and am starving!

  531. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

NYGent – Shame. Such a beautiful day, and the zoo sounded perfect. (monkey noises in background).

  532. lisa says:

    Good afternoon
    Hi Villa
Busy day at work, just finished cleaning the kitchen and having a very late lunch. I had a sausage bisquit for breakfast so I had to punish myself with no lunch break at work. Late lunch was catfish (again) and grapes. Forgot to buy soda :( but brought home a jug of unsweetened grapefruit juice.

OC rent is paid in advance along with an additional security deposit.
Still trying to get my vacation. My supervisor was not really speaking to me today but the assistant store manager said they were trying to train someone to fill in for me and would try to get my vacation. They are playing that “hard to find someone as good as you” thing with me. I just wish I didn’t have to wait till the last minute to find out if I’m getting my time off. I’m hoping i’ll hav plans although nothing seems to be happening yet :(.

  533. NeOhio SB says:

Heading out for sushi and 2012…..Nite all.

  534. NeOhio SB says:

NYGent ~~ Sending you Buckeye hugs….((( OSU ))). Sorry to hear that. Hope at least you didn’t get caged with any gorillas or ahemm wolverines. Cheer up…You know the SBs on this blog will give you all the support in the world.

OC ~~ Was out of town a bit this week and got behind on blog postings…must have missed the updates. I do remember the rent/interest one, thought that was one you were going to think about…but maybe not. Love the sprinkles…and i am in sync with you on that one. Great avatar for you…..

  535. VillaCypris says:

    NYgent -sorry to hear…

AM – ounds like a great place for a meal!

  536. VillaCypris says:

    hello everyone! happy sunday!

Eric_the_Viking – 😀 love your name! just saw the vikings beat detroit, so we are 8-1 !!!

OC – hope you’re having a sunny weekend! i tweaked my profile a little, and have had some good results… someone in Palm Beach and a RL contact in LA!

NEOhio – glad to see you’re alive and well. have missed chatting with you. congrats to OS.

  537. NYGent says:

Did not go particularly well. c’est la vie . . .

    • OCSugarbaby says:

c’es la vie? Yes, yes c’es la vie..

How do you like my new pic, I searched all over for frosting with sprinkles. My sugar motto “just looking for the sprinkles on my cupcake not the cupcake”

  538. I hear ya 😉 wouldn’t mind finding something long term atm.. especially now that the winter is coming up, and here in Sweden it’s freezing cold :(

  539. NeOhio SB says:

OC ~~ I have a very good friend in BH and HH who i know is on this SA site, loves champagne, has his few convertibles….hoping to God he isn’t the one who you met who became MIA, or I would absolutley kick him in the butt. I hope whomever he was, either gave you a good reason for him going MIA, or put some closure of keeping you up in the air for day, which was point blank….WRONG!!
Good luck with the upcoming pots.

Heading out to catch the movie 2012. Everyone have an enjoyable Sunday evening.

AM ~~ Enjoy the Sea Grill on Tuesday….wonderful place if i may say so myself. Good luck with your pot.

  540. AM, I guess so 😉

You guys seem to date a lot.. I guess the scene is a bit better for female babies:)

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Eric, it is the quality dates that count! You can screen them and screen them but some flakes do not fully form until the second or third date. But that is the same on both sides of the sugar fence and in real life. But I think I am getting closer to ending my search. Just looking for the ultimate keeper. He is getting one so why shouldn’t I hold out for one too!

  541. cleo says:

funny anna and ocsugarbaby, i’m the opposite. i’ll read the menu, chat with the waiter about the food and then order whatever whimsy dictates is the correct thing for that moment :)

  542. always2sweet says:

hey sugars!!!! God afternoon. Well, I see that the blog has definately picked up lol

    • OCSugarbaby says:

My weekend was intersting so far. I have set up a few sugar dates for this week. Some very interesting pots. We shall see…

  543. Anna Molly says:

    Hey! I must be psychic..lol

  544. Anna, funny you’d mention that, cuz I’m actually drinking one as we speak..

Hey OC, well – I can drink, drink, drink – but even Vikings get hung over 😉

Did you guys have a good weekend?

  545. Anna Molly says:

I wonder how NYGent’s date is going?

  546. Taz says:

I do the same thing OC!…have to do research – especially if it is something you have not tried before.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hi Eric, I thought Vikings were tough and could drink, drink, drink! lol
I am just sitting here fighting with my iTunes, trying to get my music on my iPhone but keep jack’n it all up. Fourth times a charm!

  547. Anna Molly says:

    Hi Eric :)
Drink a beer, that should take care of that hang over :)

  548. Anna Molly says:

Me too, I’ve looked at the menu several times and I still can’t decide what to order.

  549. Anna Molly says:

I’m having lunch at the Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center. I’m excited :)

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Anna that is fabulous! I am such planner and try to avoid jitters. So when I know where we are going I always look up the menu online so I know ahead of time what I want.

  550. AM I’m sure you do 😛

How is everyone today? Personally I’m quite hung over from a tough weekend..

  551. Anna Molly says:

    I’m sorry :(
    I guess I deserve a good spankin’…. 😉

  552. Anna Molly says:

Yes, a little. Thanks for asking :)
I’m trying to find an outfit for tues.
I think I’ll go shopping tomorrow; I want to look super hot for this pot…
    Hey that rhymed…lol

  553. Taz says:

Hello Anna – feeling better today?

  554. Anna Molly says:

Sorry for the typo Lara, it’s a habit :)

  555. Lara says:

@OC Should I give you my email here? :)

    Hi Anna Molly

  556. Anna Molly says:

SG2, Taz, Laura and Sunshine…..and everyone else of course :)

  557. Lara says:

@ SouthernGent2 : you are perfectly right. Sometimes It gets lonely – yay found the blog for that…. 😉

    “Morning” Taz.

  558. Taz says:

Sunshine – perhaps list a larger city that is close to you as your location?

  559. Lara says:

Thank you so very much OC. I really appreciate your response.

My impulse to write here was because maybe I am doing something wrong and I don’t get it. I feel out of place in OC in regards to the dating scene (whatever that might be). I don’t drink to get drunk, I like to speak to people and I don’t know how to be fake.

In regards to confidence I am confident but like I said I feel so out of place and sometimes I just don’t know how to react. I am a nice person and prefer not to react into a negative way and then I am misunderstood for being let’s say naive. It is not the case. I even went into thinking it was a cultural difference but my friends agreed with me and they are born here so that led to me being even more confused.

All the people around me keep telling me that wow you are so this and so that (=positive remarks) and here I am facing a different reality. The guys in my life so far left me because “I was too good of a girl” and then without exception came back to me exactly for the same reason they left. Because of that I am afraid to be in a conventional relationship and I prefer to be in control. I felt unappreciated and felt like left overs when they came back. I could not accept them back even if at least in one case I still had feelings.

About the sugar world, well I am at the beginning so I take it step by step reading you guys and using my common sense. Did not have a lot of SD responses as of yet and I take my time talking to the people. The more we talk the more I find out about their personality and if they are or not “virtuous” like you said. I am pretty independent and do not necessarily need a man but I like having a man in my life. I find that not having false expectations it’s a relief for me.

This blog is general and don’t want to rant about my stuff here. Is there any poss. that I can get to communicate with you, OCsugarbaby, in a different way? Of course only if you want to…

  560. Sunshine says:

Hey all, my goal is to fix up my house a bit and pay off my credit card. I am in a smaller town and I think that is the reason I’m not getting much response. Anyone have any advise to help me garner more requests?

  561. NeOhio SB says:

Flo ~~ Much much appreciated…Thank you. I should have known to have directed that question to you.
Ive stayed at the Gansevoort many times…in NY and also in SB. Gotta love the pools on the roof and the bar. Have stayed at the W many times, both TS and Lex…Intercontinental and Four Seasons, along with On the Av…but the Benj is a newbie to me. Very much appreciate your thoughts. My pref. is boutiquie….
Ciao ciao. Gratzi !!! Safe travels to you.

  562. Taz says:

Lol…I guess good afternoon 😛 I just woke up…morning to me!

  563. Taz says:

Welcome Lara and I concur with the institution of marriage :) Too many people are miserable in this world b/c of it…I could go on forever – but I won’t 😛

    Good Morning to everyone!! :)

  564. cleo says:

SouthernGent2: “Do not enter this world and give up what you stand for just because you think that is what everyone else is doing.”

that should be on the front page in bold.

  565. SouthernGent2 says:

Lara – you can make it what you want it to be. Its not easy, but there is surely someone out there that will see things close to how you might see things. Do not enter this world and give up what you stand for just because you think that is what everyone else is doing.

  566. cleo says:

re teh waldorf: what Flo Rida said plus it’s so noise even on the top floors that sleep is impossible… adn the pillows are too big and firm.

  567. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

also, Midtown East or West? Approx location of your mtg would help too 😉

  568. Flo Rida says:

NeOhio SB – not sure NY SDs and SBs are qualified to answer this q as they would be staying at home? Anyway here goes (you said nicest btw which to me means luxury – 50-100 rooms? as opposed to Corporate – 100-300 rooms? And you also said Midtown which I would define as 30th through 60th street which rules out Peninsula, MO, Hudson and Gansevoort (I just love the bars), Carlylse (though Carlysle is getting outdated)? All Street references are approximate.

For boutique luxury I would say: City Club Hotel (44th), Algonquin (44th), Bryant Park (40th), I used to love the Hotel Plaza Athenee for brunch but I’ve never stayed there

For Corporate type hotels I would say in no particular order: Intercontinental (48th?), Four Seasons (57th?), Benjamin (boutique hotel), W hotel (Lex). But Corporate hotels are not the nicest.

The Waldorf is getting pretty dated so personally I wouldn’t stay there – but that’s a personal pov.

    Signing off from Prague.

  569. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    NeOhio – what’s your range?

  570. Lara says:

    Hi everyone!

I like this blog, it is of amazing substance and people are very nice. The reason of this “letter” is that I need some advice from you guys.

Honestly I don’t know if the sugar world is necessarily for me, but I don’t reject it completely. I am a liberal person and do not necessarily believe in marriage as an institution but I believe in trust, honesty and commitment. It could be the same but I don’t need the piece of paper to state that.

What I crave in a man is a nice conversation, open mindness, zest for life and not immaturity, lack of manners and simply the boring conversation about money and so on…. It seems that people do not look for friendship and companionship those days and simply refer to the bed as being the most important thing in a “relationship.”

I was born abroad and had a good life there but I wanted to give myself a chance to live here in US. I have a normal life here: working, making new friends, going out, having goals of personal improvement and so on.

When it comes to dating I get confused. It seems that I don’t know where to find guys who are more than the usual let’s get drunk and hit the bed. I am completely bored of this attitude and I am stuck into being completely lonely intellectually and of course physically. (I am 33yo)

So here I am on SA, made a profile without too many expectations and so far so good.

Any ideas? Should I accept this as being the norm around here and live like that? I hope OCSugarbaby will see this and give me her opinion too.

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Hi Lara! Welcome to the Blog. Ok, let’s see… Really, no one can tell you if sugar dating is for you or not for you. Like you, I came to SA after just being so truly bored with traditional dating. If I had to endure one more boring date of the typical Sushi Friday night followed by listening to my boyfriend snore on the couch by 9pm. I was ready to scream! I was bored and felt unappreciated. I found an article talking about sugar dating and it sounded interesting. Has it been an easy choice? No. However, allowing others to judge me is just not in my nature. Keeping this a secret is the hardest part. The blog helps, it is a lovely place to come and talk Sugar. Sometimes your sugar questions get lost in the daily idle chatter, but if you really have a problem the others will allow you to get the advice you are seeking. At times, you will have to speak up to be heard.
Are the men on SA any different from the normal dating realm? I like to think so. You will have to take the time to weed out the not so virtuous ones.
My advice? A good positive attitude and sense of humor will get you far! Confidence is important.
Thanks for the shout out, I am always willing to help. ~OC

  571. NeOhio SB says:

~~Insight from any NY SDs or SBs would be appreciated.

Client meeting in NY this week and I need to be in the midtown area. Would appreciate any recommendation of the nicest hotels to stay. As much as i am in NY…and have a few fav. places I stay, thought i could get some local flavor and info.

  572. NeOhio SB says:

NYGent~~ Was very nail bitiing, but unf. JT is taking a heck of alot of slack for still being the conservative Sweater vest coach (truthfully was a very boring game until OT)…and if they don’t take home a W at the Rose Bowl, there will be some significant changes on the coaching staff. Kicker who gave them the W is a 26 YO from Annapolis, ex prof. soccer player who played for Tampa Bay, but due to injuries was unable to make it big….someone saw him asked him if he ever kicked a football…and ended up in the Shoe showing off his talents…and once he did, they immediately signed him. He is a Junior, so still has another year.
Enjoy your trip to the CP Zoo…..have a wonderful date.

Off to a morning run……..blessed with this gorgeous weather in Nov in NE Ohio…….!!

  573. Yaz10 says:

    Bonjour Everybody!! 😀

I finally have a Sunday off so I am on my way to church ( Haven’t been in almost a month).

    No SugarNews this morning lol

    NYGent enjoy your date!!! :-)

    Have a great day everyone!

  574. NYGent says:

NE Ohio: yeah, great (if nail biting) game. where’d we get that new kicker anyway, they said a professional soccer player? Rose Bowl is a great time, ive been twice (lost to USC both times, at least that won’t happen this year . . .)

mom and sis just left for airport. we packed a lot in, saw bye bye birdie (good but John Stamos is no Dick Van Dyck) and they got some shopping done. They were very impressed with NY Public Library and Grand Central, having seen most of the other tourist sites before.

Yaz: I agree that guy with the aggressive profile is way over the top. He could have made preferences clear without offending anyone.

MY CP Zoo date is a little later today. If I end up caged I will ask for a laptop to be slipped in between the bars so I can continue blogging.

  575. lisa says:

    Good morning everyone

Headed out the door for another long day of work.

  576. Flo Rida says:

Cleo – sorry i didn’t pick up the profile # until now

    Comments as follows:

0 – Why am I giving profile advice? Scary
1 – Pic – please smile in the face pic – it’s important
2 – Height – you are 5ft 11inches – I don’t know how men feel about height in Canada but in the US some men are intimidated by height, if you want tall men i’d leave it as is, if you want to appeal to a broader audience mention something about wearing flats in your profile
4 – Tag line “dipping a toe in the water” – this implies that you don’t know what you want, that you reserve the right to pull out or you’ll change your mind – ALL big negatives from a SD perspective. As a thought you could use “Aerobics, pilates and yoga oh my….” or anything else
5 – Sorry but it’s way too long – (some) men have short attention spans and don’t really read the profile – so shorten it aggressively – without losing content.

    Caveat emptor

  577. always2sweet says:

Long night for this SB, worked at Express til after midnight cleaning the store and doing floor sets…BOOOOO! I want so badly to say F both my jobs.

  578. Flo Rida says:

Lisa – i’m sorry for your trouble. Hope you have a super day today.

  579. Flo Rida says:

TX SB – I return on Wednesday, Tuesday is 20th anniversary of Democracy Day in Czech Republic, so I’m staying for that. Btw I have lots of female and male friends but I guess I’m a party gal. PS You really should think about going on a European vacation, I would recommend London (language is easier for Americans and the history is incredible), Paris or Milan (shopping), Vienna and Prague (beauty and charm).

Stephanie – Love it, one pet peeve – “discreet” in this context is spelt discreet rather than discrete (which means self contained or separate).

Rudy – I hate to say this but the middle pic – do not sit down, sorry but the camera adds 10 lbs and anyone (apart from a 00 or a supermodel) will show a bit of a belly, so take a pic standing up and WEAR black – black is slimming.

Felicity – Many moons ago, I was invited to a white ball event at the Peterhouse college May Ball – I couldn’t go though – boo hoo

Happy Lurker – Men and women who have vast wealth have generally sated their material needs and fantasies and instead crave EXPERIENCES, that is why driving a fast car at high speed with skill and danger in equal measure is an experience which is desired, is a Masa dinner really worth $1,500 for 2 people in nutritional or taste value – no – is it value for money – no – but it’s an experience. My one lesson for SBs in terms of dating the super rich is to give them value for experience and not value for money.

Anna Molly – Morgen, sind sie besser? Sie haben interessante Pläne für den Tag. Ich hatte ein Kopfschmerzen oder Kopfkranke vom trinken zu viel. Ich zum Fruhstuck gehen. Bis bald

Cleo – if you post your profile # I’ll take another look.

In terms of the last book that I read it was called “Mind Gym” and is a sports psychology book, unfortunately I think I already practice much of what is in the book, but it’s always good to validate one’s emotions and processes.

TXSB: so cool, i just got home from hanging with a lady i think will be a new friend for me!

  581. Taz says:

Hey TXSB – I don’t have too many female friends irl either – come from a small town and don’t like the ‘crowd’ too much. Congrats :)

  582. TXSB says:

    Slow night on the blog…….

Got home a little while ago from a dinner “date’ with a girl…lol……..I only have like 1 female friend IRL so I can’t describe in words how excited I am that I *seem* to have found a 2nd one! I dressed up nicely…met her for drinks/dinner at 8:30 and we parted ways like around 12:15. I haven’t been this excited in a looooong time…. :)

  583. Just Dee in NC says:

I got a phone call this afternoon from a brown-haired, blue-eyed handsome fellow who said, “Grandma, come play with me!” My daughter and her husband wanted to go out with some friends tonight and they know that I never turn down an opportunity to spoil the little man.

I was helping him out of the car after we got home from dinner, and he smiled up at me and said, “Grandma, you’re the best.” Part of me is here at home on this laptop, but most of me is still a melted puddle of Grandma goo on their garage floor. :-)

As for Christmas list – the only things I’ve asked for are Doctor Who series 4 (David Tennant and Catherine Tate) and Torchwood: Children of Earth. If not for Christmas, then whenever – I expect BBC America to rerun both of them early next year so it isn’t like I won’t get to see them again if the DVDs aren’t purchased at Christmas. We’re buying for the grandson (he’s 3, so this will be FUN), and we’re going to buy a few things for the granddaughter who will be born the first of February.

  584. Coco says:

    Hello Sugars….

It’s quiet today…..can’t believe there are no views on my profile today. Where are all the SD’s gone?….Vacation?

    What is everybody up to?

  585. Taz says:

Lisa – from what I understand frozen veggies and fruits can actually be one of the healthiest options since they do not require many, if any preservatives (even ‘fresh’ fruit has preservatives). I tend to make a lot of fruit smoothies for my daughter – I can literally get all of her servings for one day into one smoothie. I personally don’t like frozen fruit as much, but smoothies taste great with a bit of frozen yogurt! Microwaves are radiation. It will heat your food, and also zap most nutrients, if not all. And if you don’t know how to, or like cooking, a George Foreman Grill is great – perfect for you actually! I used to have my moms and use it all the time, then she bought me one for Christmas and took hers back, and mine is still in a box from 2 Christmas’ ago lol) And yes – eating healthy is expensive but worth it – my daughter eats fruits and veggies over chips and junk any day (drives my grandma nuts she can’t fill her up with goodies) – my grocery bill reflects!

  586. VillaCypris says:

Lisa – neither do i, but c’est la vie! Dont let that stop you from enjoying life! :)

  587. lisa says:

lol yes countertops can be used for various things, lol Mine haven’t been used in awhile. And unfortunately I have no one special to cook with.

  588. lisa says:

Only thing is I have this issue with using food after it’s opened. It’s weird but it’s like with milk, I seldom drink it but if I buy it for cereal on occasion, I have to use it within 24 hours of opening it or I have to throw it out. Leftovers gross me out too. My freezer (top of fridge) doesn’t freeze very well, ice cream is always soft so I don’t like to keep anything up there.

  589. NeOhio SB says:

NYGent ~~ Sending a high ^ to you…One of the best games i have EVER been to at the Shoe was today…OT for the Big 10 title….Hope you were wearing your scarlet and gray to the Central Park Zoo……….” Rose Bowl Bound”…and you better believe I will be in LA for that game. O-H-I-O baby…funny how USCgot pounded today by Stanford…….Hope you had a great weekend w.Buckeye family.

Lisa ~~ I can only say..not all passion has to transpire in the bedroom. A great bottle of wine, cooking a meal together….sometimes those countertops have an entire different meaning than having plates on them.

Everyone enjoy the weekend…..im back out to a Buckeye nation celebration!!!

  590. The frozen ones are healthier than canned…very little preservatives, etc. It seems like they are expensive, but a bag can provide six or more servings…when you divide it out, the math works.

  591. lisa says:

are the frozen ones the same as fresh? I know the canned stuff is full of salt. The fruits and vegs at the store are I work at are expensive compared to the other stores but I haven’t much time anymore to make an extra trip to get them, it’s easier to just pick stuff up at my store when I get off work.

  592. Another thought is to buy individually frozen fruits and veggies. I’m the only one in my family to eat fruit/veggies. This allows me to strech the dollar a little further and throw away less. I still buy some fresh veggies/fruits that are in season and therefore cheaper.

  593. lisa says:

I will look into the grill. I’m familiar with them from working in retail, I just seem to spend my money in the bedroom rather than the kitchen, but then again i’m better in there, lol

  594. Rudy says:

LOL..I am not helping you at all Lisa! I agree with the other ladies a Foreman grill is a great idea.

  595. lisa says:

I’m so reliable it’s sickning. That’s my only virtue, reliable

  596. lisa says:

If I call in thursday, there will be no one in my department as I work alone every thursday and i’ve got to unload the truck and all. And I would be asked to come in on friday. I live a few blocks from work so I would most likely get caught if I went outside my apartment. Many of my coworkers pass my street on their way to work. I sometimes get rides when i’m at the busstop in the morning.

And anyway I always come to work when i’m sick. Flu, cold, whatever, i’m there.

  597. Yaz10 says:

    That sucks :-(

If you get a friday off can you try to call in sick on Thursday so you get too days off?

  598. lisa says:

I have a closet full of skirts and dresses and hosiery and all, I love dressing up so the only time I feel like myself is on my days off. The minute I walk in the door from work, my clothes come off.

  599. lisa says:

Yaz10 I don’t think he could visit on the weekend. And anyway I wouldn’t want him to see me before or after work, I don’t look my best in my oversized clothes and coming home with ragged nails. I always come straight home and hit the shower and wash the day off me, take off my makeup and trim my nails. I used to get two days off together but now they are separate.

  600. Yaz10 says:

Lisa, can you get your SD to come visit you for lets say a weekend since your work schedule won’t allow you to travel at the moment?

  601. Lisa – I understand fully – whatever occupation you decide works for you and pays the bills.

Yes Foremans can cook fish. They come with a book that will tell you how many minutes for different types of meat. If you google George Foreman, they have an official site.

  602. lisa says:

Rudy, salmon is the nitemare of my childhood, can’t stand the smell of it. I like tuna but I’m trying to eat the fresh stuff that is plain with no flavoring or anything. I’m afraid to try anything but catfish. I don’t think gorton’s would be very healthy with all the breading and salt and all. I

  603. lisa says:

They sell the foreman grills at the store I work at. Can you cool fish on them? I only eat chicken and fish now.

  604. Rudy says:

Oh my! Well, if you decide to try the olive oil just use enough to cover the skillet and cook the fish on med to low heat and you should be okay. Do you like Salmon or Tuna? I know Gordon’s has fish fillets that are already cooked and you can pop those in the microwave…

I am going to start on my Christmas list this weekend, I can’t believe it’s time to start shopping for the holidays!

  605. lisa says:

Midwest SB formerly New SB in SB

The sad thing is that this started out as a great job. I had left a copy store job that I hated and got this job which paid better and was pleasant. I had a great boss that was my age, we had alot in common and worked great together. There was a young girl, 20, that worked with us and she has taken over as department manager after the other boss was transfered. I try to get along with her and have never had any issues but she has never been very friendly. I notice that she will give good service to the hispanic customers but when the senior citizens come in and ask where something is, she will just say “it’s over there” and not even look up. I have had a couple of them come up to me and tell they didn’t like her. Anyway my schedule has changed alot and I can’t even have my vacation when I need it.

I couldn’t sell anything if my life depended on it, tried that, got nowhere and as far as banking, not sure I could work for a bank being that I currently have several bank credit cards trying to sue me for credit card debt. I think they look at it as if you can’t handle your own finances, you can’t handle theirs. lol

It’s not so much the job as the having to dress like a man, have chipped messed up nails all the time (I used OPI and it won’t even stay on) and the bruises I have on various parts of my body from holding up heavy totes when i’m unloading them. Right now I have a bruise on my stomach and on my forearm. I will just have to put myself in “work mode’ and get through the days as I feel I don’t really exist on those days anyway, well not the real me, I will focus on my work and withdrawal from my coworkers.

  606. Yaz10 says:

    Good advice Midwest SB!! :-)

  607. BTW – Lisa if you can get a George foreman grill, they do a great job of cooking meat and it’s easy to clean. I have found decent pans at goodwill/ salvation army, etc. I used to be a terrible cook and had to replace pans often. It’s a lot better now!

  608. Yaz10 says:

LOL no its a naughty one lol…I am student so I can’t spend a lot on someone, especially someone who has already everything he needs so my christmas “gifts” are…let’s say very creative 😀

  609. Evening sugars…I haven’t caught up on everything. However, Lisa got my attention.

Lisa -I want to qualify that this is out of caring and not judgemental in any way, shape or form. I’ve been in your shoes at a job where I didn’t earn much, I was not appreciated and worked myself to the bone without satisfaction. IF you KNOW that you can do better, then please take that chance and seek out what makes you happy. I hear you talk about living in a rough neighborhood and struggling to make ends meet, so you have to ask yourself how bad can it get. Its toxic to allow yourself to be so unhappy and not try to make the change on your own. I started in sales that was related to banking and worked my way up to commercial banking and $50K + /year in years. I started w/out any experience, but I was not afraid. It can be done. If you want to exchange e-mails or want to share ideas, I would be glad to share. Once you take that first step, the rest starts to make sense. Hope I didn’t offend…LYLAS!

  610. VillaCypris says:

This will be my niece’s (first grand baby) first christmas, and my sister and her BF will be here from Italy, so I already have my christmas presents…. my family all together!!!!!!

  611. lisa says:

I sense an evil laugh there Yaz10, lol

  612. Yaz10 says:

I hope not too spend the holidays alone this year :-( I love to spoil the person I am with and not only with christmas presents hehe 😀

  613. lisa says:

Unfortunately I have no grill as I live in an apartment. Olive oil? I’ve never used that. Pyrex dishes scare me too. I had a set back when I was married, and while cooking chicken legs, the plate just exploded in the oven.

  614. Anna Molly says:

As far as other people go, I always wait until the last minute and try to remember who I have to buy for off the top of my head.

  615. Rudy says:

Lisa: They call them ‘grill plates’ if I remember correctly and they are disposable. You can use them to cook fish over a grill too. I have never used them personally, but I have friends who use them a lot. Have you ever tried using a little olive oil in your skillet? I do that and it makes it easy to clean. Pyrex dishes are perfect for cooking fish in the oven and it will take less than a few minutes and those are really easy to clean.

  616. Anna Molly says:

Yaz ~ I gave up on making a X-Mas list for myself years ago..lol

  617. lisa says:

My parents and my daughter always want money, so no list for me.
I don’t much enjoy the holidays anymore as I always spend them alone and I will most likely have to work thanksgiving which sucks. By the time I get home from work it will be too late for my parents or I to get out.

Anyway i’ve been naughty so i’ll get no gifts :)

  618. Yaz10 says:

Anyone has their christmas list ready yet??? Please share! :-)

  619. lisa says:

I would like to have a goosedown comforter though. I had one when I was married but left it to my husband who put it in the washer and ruined it. Had one before I moved out from my family but it was twin size as I slept on a twin size bed till I moved and then I got me a big king size bed and now it just looks small to me.

  620. lisa says:

I don’t have much use for a mixer or other kitchen appliances except for my little cheap mr coffee maker. I have no room in my tiny kitchen. Just a 4 foot counter which is covered by my computer and another 2 foot section with the microwave. I really need a computer desk but I can’t hardly drag that on a bus, let alone put it together.

  621. Anna Molly says:

I would give anything for a Kitchenaid Mixer…lol. It’s a dream of mine, of course I would have to find a place to put it. I have so many kitchen gadgets it isn’t funny…no really it isn’t, I have to get rid of some stuff..lol

  622. Yaz10 says:

I might go intern at CNN hehe

  623. Yaz10 says:

Although I am tempted to write on my profile, “I will only date you if you look like AC or VD” Lol

  624. Anna Molly says:

I get lots of email from east indian men. I have one pot who is east indian…and he is smokin’ hot! Definately would date him IRL. :)

  625. cleo says:

    flo rida: 406468

haven’t read another word on the blog after that though, sorry if anyone talked to me…

    *runs off*

  626. lisa says:

sounds expensive. Kitchenware is a mystery to me. I put more focus on my bedroom.

  627. Rudy says:

Lisa: Check with Pampered Chef; they have different things you can use to cook fish.

  628. Yaz10 says:

Rudy I havent even had one profile view from one black guy yet. All caucasians :-) However, I would not write on my profile “Please black guys only” or “If you are over 60 dont email me unless you are really really rich” !

There are ways to state your preferences without offending others. And sometimes the person you are just looking for might not email your after reading your profile because she might think you are a complete jerk who could care less about other people’s feelings. Just saying :-)

  629. lisa says:

Is it possible to cook it in the oven instead of the stove top? Of course I’m afraid of my oven, it gets on fire.

  630. VillaCypris says:

hmmmmmm…. i hope not!!!!! i know nothing about cooking fish… i would throw out that skillet, too :)

  631. lisa says:

    Do they say disposable skillets?

  632. Yaz10 says:

Anyways back to more SugarNews! 😀

  633. lisa says:

    Hi Villa

I’ll be living under the freeway soon, need to get back to the affordable junk food. And does anyone know where I can get some skillet liners or something? I bought a skillet and now it’s ruined after cooking fish in it. I will have to toss it out. Dirty dishes freak me out, yuck

  634. Yaz10 says:

OC do you cosign his “please lose weight before emailing me” ????

I mean jeez, he could have stated his preferences without offending BBWs!

  635. lisa says:

I’ve been on a steady diet of junk food for the past 4 years, ever since I moved across from all the fast food places. Trying to eat better but it’s blowind my budget as fish and fruits are much more expensive than a 99 cent hamburger.

I don’t get any views or emails on the site anymore. odd how in real life I get hit on by younger guys and on the site, I can’t attract the interest of the 60 year olds , lol

  636. VillaCypris says:

    good evening !!

keep up the good work lisa!!!! i’m so proud of you 😀

  637. Rudy says:

Lisa, that is interesting! I get more profile views from white males and their emails always start with, “Do you date white guys?” black guys will view my profile, but they never email me.

I have never heard of the diet you are talking about, sounds tasty and trying to eat healthy in general is expensive.

  638. Rudy says:

    My comments are posting funny…

OC Sugarbaby you make a good point and there is a lot of frustration when you are trying to find the one.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far, I just got back from a baby shower that lasted 3 hours!

  639. lisa says:

This fish, nut, and fruit diet is killing my budget. 3 small catfish fillets cost over 6 dollars. I think I will probably have to go back to the value meal soon. Too bad as i’ve already lost 3 lbs in less than 2 weeks.

  640. lisa says:

As a white woman I find I get hit on more by nonwhite men than white men. There is a difference I notice in that fact that whenever a black man hits on me, he will aske me out , etc, where as the hispanic men usually come up and say “how much, how much? or I give you 20 dollars for p****.

  641. Rudy says:

That explains why he is receiving emails from women he calls ‘crazy’ any woman in her right mind is not going to show him any interest.

  642. Yaz10 says:

It is so funny that the majority of men who prefer black, latina, or asian women express it in their profiles in such a respectful way. It usually goes something like this: ” I have always dated black women in the past, it is just a preference but I am open to other races emailing me”

The majority of the ones who state in their profiles that they only date caucasian women sound so racist that it would be hard to believe that they aren’t. It usually goes something like this: ” Please caucasian women only.” ” I will not reply to black/latinas/asian women, sorry but I prefer caucasian women only”

Some even exclude brunettes or redheads completely!
The best one I have read? ” You, white, blonde with a great rack and long legs, insatiable in bed and wanting to love me for who I am and not my money.” 😀 A pure gem!

  643. TXSB says:

    LOL Yaz….if you’re white then sure……..after all, he’ll “enjoy” your “company”. :)

    • OCSugarbaby says:

Happy Saturday Sugars! You guys really can’t blame a guy for putting exactly what he is looking for on his profile. Maybe he has had a difficult time finding his perfect match (as we have all been there) and he put those items in there out of frustration. No need to be offended, unless he emailed you and put some offensive comments in it. I don’t find his comments fitting my personality, but what one searches for is a personal choice as are his words.
Just trying to keep things positive! Without positive thinking we all begin to go to that dark place… lol

  644. TXSB says:

If I come across that profile again I’ll share that # with you…….heck I’m not black and even I was offended by it. Gah!

  645. TXSB says:

I see RealisticSD usually 5x/wk. :) The ONLY reason I don’t see him on the weekends is b/c he’s married. And there has been 1 or 2 weeks where I saw him like 4x/wk b/c of something that came up at work or with family. I love spending time with him and if it were upto me, I would see him 7x/wk. :)

Then are are plenty of SBs who only want to see their SD 1x/wk…….so it all depends on what you’re looking for. When this guy offered you the arrangement, did he tell you how often he wants to see you?

  646. Anna Molly says:

I wonder if we could influence site admins. to put a curvy option for body type?

  647. Yaz10 says:

LOL TXSB I don’t think we are talking about the same profile because this one just said that he enjoys the company of caucasian women only, he never mentionned anything about any other races.

I look forward to reading the one you are talking about! Sounds like a real gem! 😀 Hmmmm Should I email him? 😀

  648. TXSB says:

I’m an idiot………Yaz…ignore half of my comments above. I read another profile where the guy specifically mentioned black women and somehow I started ranting about that above. *hits self*

  649. TXSB says:

I’ve seen the profile too. IMO he’s an idiot. I have no issues with him have a preference for white women. He can just say that. But to specifically mention black women and then to imply that black women are automatically fat is just unbelievable. Not only is this guy being a jerk…but he’s also excluding plenty of thin, “attractive” Asian, Middle Eastern etc. SBs.

Welcome! Its hard to give general “don’t” advise to someone new….I would also recommend reading through the blogs and ask us if you have any specific q’s.

    Flo Rida:
Hi!!!! When are you coming back?

  650. Rudy says:

    Hi Everyone!

Thanks SBs for the profile advice. I have made some changes if any SDs would like to provide feedback that would be wonderful 405748.

Yaz and Molly: I saw that profile as well AND I came across a SB profile and the headline read BBW seeks SD ( Big Beautiful Woman). His profile reminded me of a guy I met once through Match who was very concerned about weight and when I met him in person he looked nothing like his profile and his clothes were wrinkled AND he smelled like leftover McDonalds. He also told me I was lucky that he CHOSE me to go out on a date with him.

  651. Yaz10 says:

    Please notice the following,

“I enjoy the company of caucasian women only”

He could have said “Sorry, I only date caucasian women..It is just a preference”. His statement means he cannot “enjoy the company” of latinas, blacks, or asian women. Hmmm I hope he only works around caucasian women then 😀

“Honestly, lose some weight before you think about emailing me”

That statement speaks for itself. Enough said.

“Not interested in anyone over age 35 unless she is very hot”

That statement is hilarious considering the fact that he only has one “headless” picture on his profile and is close to 50.

My guess is a REAL woman who would have been with him for his personality and not his money ( he is a millionaire according to him) will never email him after reading his profile and the only thing he will attract are gold diggers and very HOT women with plastic body parts. 😀

Ok, back to reading more profiles 😀

  652. Anna Molly says:

LOL Yaz….I’ve seen that profile :)

  653. Yaz10 says:

    Evening all! :-)

    More SugarNews! 😀

So I am completely bored today and decided to read some more profiles. (Some of them can be quite entertaining!) Here is an excerpt of one I just read,

“I enjoy the company of caucasian women only. Please no emails from BBW(whatever that means). Honestly, lose some weight before you think about emailing me. I’am an attractive, fun, and single man who is ready to find an attractive lady to enjoy good times with. I’am VERY selective on the type of women I spend time with. Not interested in bimbo’s. Not interested in anyone over age 35 unless she is very hot.”

    My response? o_O

My name is Yaz10 reporting for SugarNews 😀

  654. Taz says:

Understandable Lisa…jobs like that are very taxing on the spirit unfortunately. I hope you find something else that respects you as a human being…myself – I am working on that as well…

  655. lisa says:

Our store is always hiring but mostly teenagers apply and they all wanna be cashiers so there is no one to help us unload the trucks. As far as calling in sick, I have only called in 3 times in the past 11 years of retail work and that was only because my dad had to be admitted to the hospital on emergency on those occasions. Anyway I’d have to work twice as hard when I got back and i’m just too darn considerate to do that to my coworkers, I wish I wasn’t so hard headed sometimes.

I have known my Sd for along time but we started communicating outside the blog back in July and I was waiting for Oct to come so I could take my vacation but then my vacation hours didn’t become available till late oct and you’ve got to put in at least a month’s notice which I did. Anyway things suck now and it’s just a matter of time till I lose my temper at work and get canned. I can’t help it, i’m super stressed and angry and hate the job I once liked. I just want a week off to enjoy my self.
Now back to cleaning the bathroom.

  656. Taz says:

Hmmmm…how about call in sick on the tues or thurs? How long have you been speaking with your SD? It is hard catering to a job in this economy – there a lot of people willing to take your spot – and I find being ‘short staffed’ is not a matter of lack of applicants, rather a lack of wanting to spend on hiring (training costs, etc..)

  657. lisa says:

Taz I don’t get weekends off, I generally get mondays and fridays off. Scheduling is around when our trucks arrive so there are days that I will never be off except on vacation. And I don’t think weekends would work for him either.

Going to try to relax now. Doing some housework. Have a good afternoon everyone

  658. Taz says:

Sorry to hear that Lisa…isn’t there any way you can work your days off to make a long weekend to get away and meet him?

  659. lisa says:

    Thanks always2sweet

It’s just a job in a grocery store. We don’t even really have a Christmas rush in my department. I work in drugs/nonfoods and it’s not like everyone is rushing in to buy more shampoo.

  660. lisa says:

Thanks Anna this was a good job for the past year but lately we’ve been shorthanded and i’ve been working my tail off. My hours have been changed and now it seems like I have no life. Schedule sucks and now I can’t have my vacation time when i’m about to crack. It was all I could do today to not just walk out. I get upset easily and need some quiet time and really need a week off so I can wear my own clothes again. I am so tired of wearing the same shirt everyday and pants which I loathe (it’s a man’s shirt several times too big) when I’m a girly girl.

Waiting till I had my one year anniversary then it took another month for my vacation hours to be available, put in my time, two weeks pass, nothing and now I find out I can’t have it. Anyway I think my sd has given up meeting me. He never mentions it anymore.

  661. Happy Lurker says:

    Hi Flo,
    Yes you are so right.
What do you give yourself as a man who has already got everything ?
Might be a Veyron then. Undoubtedly nice to drive fast, but unpractical if you are a gundog lover.
Actually I saw the car and walked around it.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so to me it just was a a curiosity.
I’d rather drive a Porsche and also tried driving over 200 km / hour.
That was in summer very early on an undeserted motorway.
It is not relaxing, you have to concentrate. High speed motoring is tiring.
The Porsche made me a better driver, though.
But the Veyron owner had the clunker insured, no doubt.
Wonderful that you will go big game fishing off Miami.
It really feels that you are close to the spirit of Earnest Hemingway, at least I always did.
Freshly caught fish for dinner, a treat, especially if you catch them yourself. !

  665. lisa says:

    Good afternoon

What a lousy day. :( I’ve been realy stressed at work lately, needing my vacation. Put in for it a couple weeks ago, about 7 weeks in advance, now I find out I can’t take it any time till mid January. That means working 16 months with no vacation. I was hoping to finally meet my sd then, now he’ll probably think i’m dragging him along as he’s been wanting to meet since July.

  666. Stephanie*356119 says:

Profile approved already. Check it out.

  667. Stephanie*356119 says:

Flo Rida: Thanks for the advice. I changed my profile (yet again). It’s hard perfecting this one tiny process! When its approved, check it out again if you could. I appreciate it.

  668. Anna Molly says:

CrèmeBruléeNY ~ That’s all right, I just hope I feel better by tues. :)

  669. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    eek, sorry to hear..

  670. Anna Molly says:

Not sure yet….probably take out. I’m feeling under the weather today :(

  671. CrèmeBruléeNY says:

    AM – What’s for dinner?

  672. Anna Molly says:

Why can’t I meet a guy that has a way with words. I just melted HL. :)

  673. Happy Lurker says:

    Hi Felicity,
What an appropriate name you have chosen for yourself.
According to the COD: “thing that brings happiness”.
    And you do for me.
We do not live in a meaningless world.
Here I meet someone that shares the love of the place I like most of all
and the countryside around Salisbury is so breathtaking.
Fishing on its chalk stream rivers is world famous.
Decades ago I almost bought a thatched roof cottage over there.
But then in the 1980’s prices fell, to rise again to meteoretic heights.
Now the bottom has fallen again out of the property market.
I liked to stay in the Red Lion Hotel.
They had a good kitchen !
Here in my office, hanging on the wall I have an antique hand coloured plate “View of the Cathedral from the Bishop’s Palace”.
It tells you how much my heart is in that place.
I might go there next summer again. Has been a long time since.
I will come to admire your horses, but as an equestrian lover I know how horses can cripple you financially.
I will even bring you some sugar(lumps for the horses) Lol !
Yes, you bring me much happiness taking about Salisbury and the novel
    Pillars of the Earth.
    Thank you for doing so.

  674. Anna Molly says:

I can’t get focused long enough to read, although I have tons of books. I think I have ADD..lol

  675. Felicity says:

Happy Lurker – can’t see your linked page for some reason, but just wanted to add that Pillars of the Earth is my all time favourite book!

I also only live about 20 miles from Salisbury & love, love, love hanging out in the Mews – so peaceful. Sometimes I swear I was born in the wrong century!

  676. Felicity says:

Flo Rida – thank you, you’re comments are invaluable! I’ll have to rope someone into taking some more ‘figure’ shots for me and post one.

What book are you reading now or would like to read? (All titles mentioned will be added to the new ’sugar’s choice’ reading list)

I am currently reading ‘1422 – The Year China Discovered The World’ – its only speculation really, despite the evidence the author thinks he has, but its an interesting theory none the less!

Do you have a dream or goal that a sugar could help you fulfill? Care to share?

I would like to go back to eventing full time – I have some seriously quality horses coming through now but I either work every hour to pay for it all, OR I work less & have time to compete – I’m hoping a SD will be able to help me on my feet in this way.

Sugar Date Weekend Report: Who’s got sugar in their plans this weekend? Care to share?

Nothing for this weekend – but 2 dates lined up for next week & chatting to a few guys as well… I’m not counting chickens yet, but I am trying to be optimistic!

    Flick xxx

PS – how do you guys search for each other by profile number? I signed up for the Premium Membership but can’t find how to search…

  677. VillaCypris says:

    Yaz – maybe!

  678. VillaCypris says:

Flo – you are NOT! Even though Ive never “seen” you, I know you’re gorgeous.

  679. Yaz10 says:

Yup Flo I guess you are right. Maybe that’s how men think….

I mean why spend so much on something that depreciates starting the minute you buy it? The purchase of a $50 million appt in NYC is understandable but spending that much in a car…..? And they say women are hard to figure out..lol

Villa: Diamonds are a girl’s best friend so I guess expensive cars are a guy’s best friend? 😉

  680. Yaz10 says:

    Have fun!

  681. Yaz10 says:

Must be nice! Won’t you be my sugar mama then? 😀 jk

  682. Flo Rida says:

Yaz10 – Vacation, it’s the 20th anniversary of Freedom Day on Tuesday in Czech Republik so it’s fun, when you are super wealthy you can indulge EVERY fantasy which involves money, and buying a $1.5 million car is no different than buying a $10 million yatch a $25 million Citation X plane or a $50 million apartment in NY, if you crash it well that’s part of the experience of owning a high speed car, I mean why have a sports car unless you push it to the extreme (not saying me but that’s how men think)

VC – I’m really ugly on the outside! Though I like to think I’m pretty on the inside. Ok I’m getting changed b4 going to the bar.

  683. VillaCypris says:

    salut mon amie!

ehhhhh… along the same train of thought…. why would someone go to harry winston and spend $1 million + on that magnificent 18 carat sapphire ring which is my tiny photo >>>>>>>>>>>>>..

everyone has something which ignites his or her grand passions… 😀

  684. Yaz10 says:

    Hi Flo Rida!!! :-)
    Bonjour Villa! :-)

    Yes, health is priceless.
I dont know, maybe if I was a man AND I was wealthy then I would be seeing this differently but I could never spend $1.5 MIL on a car…I mean come on…. $1.5 MIL on steel and glass? Why not invest in a nice condo, rent it out and let your money MAKE money? ( He is rich so I am sure he is already doing that anyways…)

Flo Rida: What are you doing in Prague? Oooh I envy you!!!

  685. VillaCypris says:

You fit in there very well then…. being beautiful yourself… on the inside, too! :)

  686. Flo Rida says:

Yaz10 – it’s 5.45pm here in Prague and it’s pitch black already, generally people with fast cars like to drive them and they are lethal weapons in the hands of the inexperienced. the fastest i’ve ever driven is 140mph (once in Germany on the autobahn and once in US on PA turnpike) but BOTH in a straight line and I’d be freaking out taking high speed turns. When you have lots of money (not that I do) you think of money as only giving you “options and choices” and not having intrinsic value.

AsianSB – I currently live with SD so I don’t have much “space”, but it can be fun, it’s a chemistry and personal thing.

VC – Prague is huge fun, strange that not more supermodels have come out of Czech Republik as the woem here are complete Betty’s – as hot as any in NY (who might even come from Eastern Europe).

  687. VillaCypris says:

    nite nite asianSB!

hi Yaz! I applaud him as well… as he must recognise a car is just a “thing”… and can be replaced… or even if not… he wasn’t injured it sounds like? health is priceless 😉

  688. Yaz10 says:

Hey AsianSB! :-) You are welcome! :-)

  689. AsianSB says:

Heya Yaz- Mm, that car is a beauty hahah. I feel very sad for the owner though, I agree with you that he’s handled the situation nicely. Luckily no one got hurt.

Well, I think I’m going off to bed, couldn’t sleep until 5 am :( Good night everyone. Hope everyone has a good day.

PS. Thanks TXSB and Yaz for the profile comments :)!

  690. AsianSB says:

    Hey Sugars,

Wow I feel lost in all this language exchange, hah. Yin gai wo jia dian pu tong hua ba? Lol :)

Just got back from date 2, he brought up the arrangement and gave me a generous offer. I’m happy he is taking initiative and being very patient with me as I’m still new at this.

I do feel that I’m not so excited to see him so often though, how often do you Sugars meet your other? (It has been two executive days already, and I think tomorrow will be the third.) Kinda feel that the visits should be a bit more spread out, like 2-3 dates a week.

  691. Yaz10 says:

    Hello!!! :-)

Gosh I was watching the video on youtube of that Bugatti Veyron crashing in that Texas Lake….All I could say was Wow…Just wow..

They said the guy was very calm and didn’t go bezerk over crashing his pricey ride in the water. That’s an expensive car I agree but that’s a car nevertheless and I applaud him for keeping his cool after that….especially after all the comments I have been reading online on other blogs ( Mainly people making fun of him for his “costly mistake”.)

There are only 15 Bugatti Veyron in the U.S if my sources are correct and the guy is said to be a collector of exotic cars. ( I am sure he is definitely not hurting…well financially anyways.)

I wonder if he would have been as cool as he is about the whole thing if it had been his SB driving and crashing the car 😉 .

SDs….comments? :-) Would you let your SB drive such a pricey car even for just a min? ( I hear a resounding NO!!) lol

My name is Yaz10 reporting for SugarNews. 😀

    Good morning everyone!!! :-)

  692. Anna Molly says:

    Flo Rida ~ Danke! :)

    VC ~ So, So

  693. VillaCypris says:

Flo – sounds fun! Just yesterday there was an article in the NYTIMES or UK T on what a wonderful place Prague is in the winter! thought of you!

  694. VillaCypris says:

    buon giorno …

I tried to teach myself German when I was 10 years old. Gave that up to pursue french, arabic and japanese instead!

how are your studies coming along, frau Anna? :)

  695. Flo Rida says:

Anna Molly – Es tut mir aber leid, warum bist du Kranken? Besser werden? Tschuss

VC – i’m sure downloading this on my Treo will get expensive – it’s 4pm and it’s beginning to get dark, big concert tonight because the city is gearing up for Freedom Day.

  696. Anna Molly says:

Guten Morgen Flo, ich bin mude und Kranken

    Guten Morgen jeder :)

  697. VillaCypris says:

Just read above you need to dash for sightseeing…. have fun!!!! 😀

  698. VillaCypris says:

I agree…. and some think the dollar will become completely obsolete or disappear entirely….

lots of changes coming…. I don’t think most of us have any idea…

  699. Flo Rida says:

VC – hey babe – i agree with HL if America continues to run large fiscal deficits then increased taxation and a depreciating currency AND OR inflation are inevitable. Also look for the Yuan / Renminbi and Indian Rupee to appreciate both are inevitable. Europe was already expesnive with a depreciating currency sometimes I think can I afford to buy this or order that, scary.

  700. VillaCypris says:

HL – $2/1 Euro ???? will make it difficult for me to get back to MC!!! :(

  701. VillaCypris says:

    salut HL and Flo!!!!!!

couldn’t sleep any longer, wrist is feeling a little better. so thought i would interject myself into your convo :)

lil sis- big hugs to you…. glad you are less sad today!!!

  702. Flo Rida says:

Happy Lurker – I know a married couple who are captain and tactician at the New York Harbor Club – they race J-24’s and have competed in Olympic National trials so I’ve been sailing around NY, SD has a much larger yatch and sometimes (rarely) we go sailing along Long Island but the waters there can be choppy. I don’t have the patience for fishing but am going ocean fishing in Miami in December – good time to be in Miami for Art Basel. Sometimes I think I live a charmed life, but it won’t last forever. Boozing Brits are boozing at home (as beer from the off license is cheaper) rather than in British pubs or overseas pubs. I need to dash to sightsee so I’ll be gone for a few hours or even the whole night – have fun – sorry about the flake in Riga (very pretty women there though)

  703. Happy Lurker says:

    Hi Flo,
Yes, I was in Riga in August on a sugar mission.
Interesting old centre of town. I had time fo a guided tour as the sugars flaked. Never mind. Ended up in an Indian restaurant of all places.
Boozing Brits, well they are indeed famous for drinking heavily.
But the recession bit very harshly in the economy and the rate of exchange of the Pound fell like a brick versus the Euro just as the Dollar. Brits go on boozing, but rather at home instead of abroad.
I am waiting for the Dollar to reach the point that for one Euro, I wil receive two $$. Promised myself to go to NY and do some fishing. Ever sat in a boat holding your road out over the still waters and wait in the benign nearness of the statue of Liberty ?
She gave me a wink when she noticed me. And there are some fabulous
bars and restaurants on the theme of fishing. Amazing NY isn’t it ?

  704. Flo Rida says:

Happy Lurker – yes I tried the her liquor drink you mentioned and yes it is quintessentially Czech, I don’t say that I care for it, but each to his own. I also tried the ORIGINAL Budweiser – so that was fun. I remember Prague as party central a long time ago, but now boozing Brits go to Riga (Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania).
