Welcome to the Sugar Bowl, gents! Below are some Sugar slang terms that every Sugar Daddy should familiarize himself with.

stands for Potential Sugar Daddy. You are considered a POT up until an arrangement has been mutually agreed upon by you and your Sugar Baby. After the messages have been exchanged and a first date or first meeting has been set, the only thing left is to determine if you two share chemistry. If chemistry is there and the connection is genuine, the chances of solidifying an arrangement are pretty much guaranteed.

No Strings Attached, or “friends with benefits”. NSA is simply an agreed upon condition that you will both check your emotions at the door, and not let them get involved with your arrangement. This is an ideal arrangement for people who are looking for something outside of a traditional relationship, or in addition to. But that doesn’t mean that two people don’t care about one another. The allure of an NSA arrangement is that it simply sets both parties up for an honest relationship that could be built off a friendship, without the pressure of a commitment.

Please note, there is no transaction occurring in an NSA relationship, just two people who have agreed to have a non-traditional relationship. Again, NSA is simply a scenario where two people hang out,  maybe sleep together, but do not make a commitment to each other.

Try as he might, a Splenda Daddy is a man who strives to be a SD, but just doesn’t have the funds to pull it off. He may be sweet and charming and the perfect gentleman, however, his finances, his professional life and his personal life are in disarray. He simply does not meet the requirements of a Sugar Daddy.

Salt Daddy

The complete opposite of a Sugar Daddy, a Salt Daddy is one who tries to impersonate, but is broke and has no intention of picking up the bill, ever. He can neither afford, nor offer a Sugar Baby any beneficiary means. A Salt Daddy aims to deceive unsuspecting SBs and typically tries to rush the intimacy aspect of a relationship (i.e. asking for nude photos upfront). Red Flag.
