“Expect the unexpected” is tired. We’re tired. Seeking is changing the dating game, and it’s time we change the narrative, as well.
Why should we learn to not expect the very best? It’s just as bad as the old motto, “prepare for the worst, hope for the best.” It’s time we introduce a new outlook on dating. So we decided:
From now on, we’re expecting everything.
Seeking was built to bring together eligible individuals with an ambitious mindset. Naturally, that translates into their dating habits as well.
Our members are going for the best possible experience, in every area of their lives. They put full effort into their careers and healthy habits, so why would they sacrifice effort in their dating lives?
Why We Care
Low-effort has never been welcome here. We want our users to expect better from their dating life, by building a community of like-minded couples. Why?
Because We Know it Exists.
Our founder, Brandon Wade, met his wife Dana on Seeking. They knew right away that what they were sharing was something extraordinary. After their initial meet, there would be no return to average dating—it was simply too late. Their mindset was already beginning to shift. They knew abundance was out there.
Grounded in Proof
The two of them lived their own version of too-good-to-be-true, and they knew it went further than just their own experience. Real-life couples meet on Seeking all the time, and it’s about time we heard it straight from the source.
Real-life Seeking Couples
By bringing these stories to life, our hope is to show eligible singles just how beautiful their dating life can become. A first date at the Egyptian Pyramids and a second date in The Hamptons is not far-fetched—it’s simply far by distance.
An Escape Towards Expecting Everything
To get an idea of what Seeking helped them steer away from, we asked our couples what settling means to them. Their answers held similar themes across-the-board.
“Dating someone who didn’t have shared future goals which made it short term, or there would be either physical or emotional attraction, but not both.”
“Dating people who were not successful.”
“Trying to make relationships work that weren’t truly aligned. Compromising on things that, in hindsight, were actually important.”
These couples that met on Seeking knew they didn’t want to settle—and to many of them, settling involved compromising on future goals. We weren’t surprised to hear this, as it’s the key area where Seeking differs. We’ve created a unique community of users that know what they want, and work hard to make it happen. You won’t find users without goals and aspirations here.
Where Seeking Can Take You
In line with expecting everything, we asked couples to describe their most memorable date. These elevated experiences make for core relationship memories that last, which are common among our users.
“We went to a wellness retreat in Amangiri. We hiked on the skybridge, then afterwards got a massage. The day ended with the two of us sharing the best curry we’ve ever had.”
“One of our early dinners at Rockpool, where we talked and laughed for hours. At some point you realise you’ve completely lost track of time. That’s when you know the connection is real.”
You Choose What You Accept
Now that these couples know just how great dating can become, we asked them what they might say to someone feeling discouraged. What would they say to someone who believes that expecting everything is unrealistic?
“I think people confuse standards with fantasy. Wanting mutual respect, chemistry, generosity and effort isn’t unrealistic, it’s the foundation of a great relationship.”
“They lower their standards too quickly. If you know what you want, you eventually meet someone who respects that.”
“They’ll be right for as long as they continue to believe that. Would they rather be a prophet for their own unhappiness or just happy?”
In summary: lowering your expectations will only lower your experiences. You’re in charge of your own rules.
So? Are you ready to make the switch?
The proof is in the partnerships. Our hope is for a mass mindset shift among the modern dating community. Low-effort, low-quality dating experiences should not be thought of as the norm, and Seeking is here to help you make that switch.
It’s about time you expect everything—average not included.
